Quote of the Day

Alastair Campbell told the Chilcott Inquiry…

“Reading the bald words on the page gives the wrong impression of what I thought I was saying in response to what I thought I was being asked.”

Reminds me of Robert McCloskey’s “I know that you believe that you understood what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant”; but not as cleverly articluated.

Sexed up and dumbed down intelligence. Such lack of creativity means having to get the bangers out.
Campbell’s dossier is the elephant in the room, everyone knows it’s bollocks but no one in a position of authority will come out and admit it.

Who are these freaks? If I waltz into a real courtroom, stared at my statement and said: “I know that the print on this page is signed by me and gives the impression that I meant to say it but the truth is that I gave the wrong impression at that time to the own I am imparting now.”

Throw the keys away – Campbell is repulsive and Dismanhandleson is a freeloader.

Maybe if they really wanted to “decontaminate the Labour brand” with business people, they shouldn’t have totally buggered up the economy?

Just a thought.
