Guy News : Gordon Misled Parliament Over Recession / G20
UPDATE : Will Straw still won’t let this go; yesterday Will tried to imply that Spain was somehow the 21st member of the G20 and therefore Britain was not the only member country in recession. Brown obviously works from the same script*, because he also spun that line today. Will is now nuancing his position, arguing that because the Spanish PM has attended a meeting, Spain is an informal member. The Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi attended the G20 annual summit in April, on this evidential basis isn’t Ethiopia an informal member too? The Tories have unearthed a quote that should settle the matter, ‘Spain is not a member of the G20’, or so said the Prime Mentalist himself at a press conference in October last year. This year he wants to pretend it is. Si?
*Remember how the last “independent” left-wing blog turned out to be part-scripted by Damian McBride? Hmmm…

98th?
So why didn’t Dave or his team correct Gordon? Surely Dave looked at your Venn diagram yesterday.
George Osborne is sat next to Dave, so even if Dave did not know that Spain is not in the G20, the shadow Chancellor should have told him.
I’ve been misleading Parliament and the English for more than two decades !!
Gordon’s team would have known that there was a good chance of this question comijng up. Could well be that Gordon was briefed to say Spain was in the G20 in the hope that Cameron and Osborne would not know and it worked.
This has Alistair Campbell all over it. The best and most confident PMQs that Gordon has ever done.
Brown trots back into bumbling mode, again.
Blair lied his ass off to Parliament about the need to go to war. Labour always lies, it is what they do!
GORDON IS A MORON
Gordon must have been watching the G20 +1 channel!
The more he talks, more lies he says.
Q. How do you know when Gordon’s misleading Parliament ?
A. When you see his lips moving.
I attributed most of the lip movements to involuntary gurning.
It’s the pills you know.
Zimbabwe economy to grow by 4.7 pct in ’09

Shouldn’t we send them some aid now then?
Seems the Media in agreement over Brown the Confident Prime Minister. The betting sites states that there has been a change in him.I wonder if Campbell has coached him? Davy Cameron seemed dull and flat in PMQ’s.Is this the beginning of a new stage in the rise of Cameron? He needs to change some ideas and ditch some of his cronies.Lots of rumblings in Tory circles about the environment and Lisbon.Cameron seen as flaky on both fronts.Talk of Hague comeback???
Cameron just isn’t up to the job. Never has been and never will be.
Flaky, are you joking. He has the same outlook as a shopping trolley. He doesn’t have a mind of his own.
The Green crap is embarassing, the Lisbon pledge makes him look totally untrustworthy. Cast Iron my bottom. Labour are loving this, because they can sense that the Conservatives have actually fielded their 12th man.
Hague fucked up over Lisbon as well. The two of them were thoroughly unconvincing. They’ve lost the trust of the electorate and are going to suffer for it. Pathetic leadership.
Cast Iron Dave is the greatest gift UKIP will get this Christmas. AGW and Lisbon have shown what a lightweight he is.
Hague seriously fucked up when he fell in line with the Lisbon bullshit. That was his opportunity to make progress; however, I’m not convinced he can be arsed with politics any more – he seems half-hearted at best, these days.
21st
It’s hardly much of an endorsement even if spain was the 21st in the G20.
Like as a child you’ve shat yourself and your excuse is that your little brother did too…. you’re still in the shit, and you should know better.
So even if we counted Spain as a full member of G20 in its own right. Brown hasn’t exactly got a lot to crow about. He said that we were best placed to come out of recession, and we are still in it. He never promised that we would be second last, or even near the back of the Q. He promised us that we would come out of recession first.
Cameron allowed the fat fucker to lie like a flat fish. His question are never answered. The speaker is so pro Government it isn’t funny. Makes me wonder why Cameron is viewed as bright. I don’t think he is.
21st is the new 20th.
Thanks to Balls, no-one can count under New Labour anyway.
Qué?
Screen Grab from the G20 web site confirming the following:
a. The number of countries involved is restricted and fixed
b. Membership of the Group has “remained unchanged since it was established”
c. That Spain is not a member.
Dave, or someone on that front bench should have picked it up immediately just a Guido did and a few others on PMQ’s blog…..
Dave unable to pick anything up at the moment.Worried about his hairline.
I recommend Fincar – cheap as chips and bloody effective.
Gordon is obviously a member, but then we knew that already.
Pfft, the guy lies so much that he mistakes his truth’s for real life.
He’s a useless bong-eyed-tax-grabbing-cock-sucking-lip-smaking-wanker !
Do you mean Cameron?
I don’t think he’s lying. It’s worse than that, he really doesn’t have a clue. It is frightening how little this arsehole knows about economics or world politics, and still more frightening that he doesn’t seem to register the level of his own ignorance.
But what were Dave and Gideon doing? They keep missing the simple punches. No wonder there is a real risk that there will be a hung parliament and Jonah will be able to trick the LibDems into a coalition by promising them PR, just like he promised a referendum on the EU constitution/treaty (same thing).
Does Dave actually want to be the next PM?
Talk about poisoned chalice.
The sheer scale of the economic disaster awaiting the next government is probably the real reason no one wants to pick up the ball and run with it.
So either a hung parliament and an early fresh election if slash and cut budget is defeated or Liebour has to shovel its own merde – and that would be the best way to bury the MarxistSwine for ever.
Look on the bright side. We could be doing worse than Zimbabwe. Oh, crap…
http://www.keeprightonline.com/2009/12/02/and-now-zimbabwe-overtakes-us/
LOL!
Not really funny.
This means that, a year ago when Gordon was talking his shit about “best placed”, the reality was that Mugabe had his economy better under control than Gordumb.
Not funny, just frightening.
(The Mug has also held an election in the mean time).
There are lots of countries in the G195 (leading countries of the world) that are still in recession, so we are doing the right thing.
True.
But you have to laugh. Otherwise you’d cry.
Today on radio 4 they were saying that the BBC is now allowed to broadcast from Zimbabwe so they flew an entire show out there (what fucking carbon footprint?)
Well when asked if they had any problems getting the relevent permissions to broadcast their show from Harare, they said that they were told that they would get all the relevent paperwork passed in one day, only two weeks later they were still waiting. After a few phone calls it was sorted and they got their permits and could broadcast.
I thought, Christ, they should apply for a student grant here and see if they can get one in two months!!!
It says something when Harare can get things done quicker and with less complications than getting stuff in the UK!
Talking of ‘what fucking carbon footprint?’, did anyone see the new Jesus Christ, one Gordon Sumner on Newsnight last night? The height of hyocracy is the only way to describe him without going off on yet another rant.
He was a teacher, so it does explain most things.
Alos he kept on about working for Charidee for the last 2 decades. My guess is that he hasn’t donated a penny of his own fortune as yet. Sure he has given time and resource. But he has extracted a lot of value from his exertions. Bit like his famed Tantric sex. The man is a Bombastic Prat. Good voice and music though.
I’m fed up.
Last of the G20 out of recession?!
How very dare you…
We’re doing better than Uganda; we’re doing better that Uzbekistan; we’re doing better that Iceland (those bloody terrorists); and, speaking of terrorists, we’re doing better that Afghanistan…
…AND THEY’RE ALL IN THE BLOODY G20!!
If you look at OECD forecast for Government Borrowing when expressed as a percentage of GDP, the UK is in fact worse than Iceland. No, really.
That is why Brown id giving more money that we have to borrow to other richer countries. India and China being the two most notable. And the Cameroons are silent.
Labour will win the next election on a landslide, because Cameron is weak and insipid.
then were all fucked
Rumpoy gives the orders now, it does not matter which of these two are elected, McDoom or Dismal Dave, they will play ball and do as they are told.
There are lies, damned lies and Brown’s Tractor Statistics.
Funny how the Best Placed Lie is being nailed, and that the aplogists for Brown like Will Straw, were also found wanting yesterday.
But Dr James Gordon Brown to make the same mistake, just goes to show what a complete bloody fool he has become, but he does do a good Dr Strangelove impersonation at PMQs.
Yeah, but where is the fucking opposition on all this??? Cameron is conspicuous by his absence and the rest of the opposition benches appear to be AWOL.
It seriously looks like Cameron wants to lose the next election. He wants Brown to win and take the shit for fucking over this country.
Which is fine by me. Cameron then gets kicked out and all his fluffy, green, share the proceeds of growth, we will match Labour’s spending goes with him. Cue us good old anti EU, anti third world immigration, public sector slash and burn merchants to take centre stage once again and clean the mess up. Can’t wait!
We want Labour to drown in their own Excrement!
I second that motion !!!!!
Watching it live today, at the time I thought it was a real missed opportunity that Call Me Dave didn’t pick up on Gordon’s mistake and then ask him straight back whether or not Spain was in the G20?
In any event I don’t suppose Gordon would have answered the question, nor say that he had just mislead the House by making a mistake.
Gordon seemed to be under the impression the PMQs is for HRH Opposition to announce policies rather than him as PM to answer questions.
This is what NuLabour is. Spin and Lies. We say Spain is in the G20 so it is. Those who say it isn’t will be arrested and have their fingerprints and DNA taken.
I’m old enough to have watched a few government’s come and go. Not as many as her Maj, but nonetheless a few. I don’t ever recall watching the dying days of a government as we are watching this one.
This is truly a political train crash of immense proportions.
Straw hasn’t got the hang of this maths stuff, has he? 21 will not go into 20, will it, William?
Governments talk about “sharing growth” like rapists talk about sex.
Yeah well these feckers can share in some of the shrinkage as well!
Can’t understand why when Brown starts to spout figures at PMQ’s the opposition don’t start murmering ” Tractors, tractors” in response. Better than ” Ya Boo”
And David Brown’s Tractor Statistics!!
So, just to recap:
Our head of government, the former chancellor, who sits on the G20 – the world’s leading financial forum – by virtue of his position. However, he doesn’t know which other countries are members or not.
This is a man who was in charge of our country’s economy for 10 years, and is now in charge of our country as a whole, and he doesn’t know who the members of the world’s foremost international financial forum are?
Oh, and we’re in the middle of the worst recession since the 1930s.
(shakes head sadly)
I would be surprised if he even knew who half his cabinet was at this point, let alone who is, or is not in the G20!
Wake up you lot – we all know the useless Huhne can’t count

A bit sad when even the chairman does not know who are members
Watch the fucktard invite Spain to the meeting just so he can say he was right!
I’ll keep an eye out for that . . . . tut tut tut
Spain is not the EU. Using that logic Romania would be in the G20
Yeah, we’ve covered this.
Spain ISN’T in the G20. The EU is, but Spain isn’t.
And just because our economy is bigger than Spain’s doesn’t mean that our economy is growing. It isn’t. It’s shrinking. We’re still in recession.
So we’re the only country in the G20 that’s still in recession.
Good one, Gordo.
Spain is in the EU the EU is in the G20, Spain is in recession.
All true. Ergo…
Spain is not in the G20, we’re STILL in recession, and Gordo still sucks.
Glad we agree.
Mexico – Spain – same difference?
Who were those ‘spics at the last meeting then?
Some other countries and organisations were invited to the Summit. It’s like a wedding, it’s not just family, some other hangers on get in.
The Netherlands and Ethiopia also attended the G20 summit in London, but they are not members of the G20 either.
Are Ethiopia and Somalia in the EU now? We seem to have unchecked immigration from these lawless little prats.
They are so very good at drug dealing, vice, and violent crimes. Especially against women. Just hope that the Labour women never get really hurt by these imports.
Cough…………
Just saw the figures we are out of recession at last.
What do you expect, Labour has learned much from the Joseph Goebbels School of Propaganda….
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
is one of the side effects of heavy duty anti-depressants a failure to recognise the nationality of the people you are talking to? i mean its not really gordon’s fault then is it………
anyway don’t worry i’m sure it will all be corrected following wall to wall coverage on the bbc pointing out the schoolboy error and insinuating brown is too incompetent to run a bath never mind the country…just like dave’s slip last week was treated…won’t it….won’t it?
I think we may have to re-assess the theory that he’s on heavy duty anti-depressants – check out the way the fucker lurches up off of his bench and starts gabbling. I haven’t seen moves like that, since the skins used to hang round Watford high street on a saturday afternoon, completely flying on speed.
Hammond – “Brown should apologise for not knowing something Cameron and Osborne don’t know either”
Anyway, wonderful sophistry to explain how the world’s 9th largest economy has no place as part of the group of the world’s 20th economies. And thanks for diverting the debate into a dead end about such sophistry that will switch most normals off. Had you attacked the “OK so we’re 2nd worst off – its still crap” argument – the obvious one – then perhaps Brown would be sweating.
Agreed that would be a better line of attack, as in “how very impressive – we are only 19th out of 20 countries, how proud you must be!” (the 21st is the EU itself, which is pretty sinister) but it is really scary that without a bloody day job, Cameron and Osborne don’t know any better than Brown does, They should stop dicking around listening to focus groups and chasing after 260,000 green votes by supporting the completely crooked cap-and-trade scam, and do some real solid homework. And Hammond is thick and useless – Mr 18 Quangoes.
So no prospect for any improvement. Time to bugger off. Trouble is, where to go? Steve Expat, what’s it like where you are?
Well they still have democracy in Switzerland, and they have not caved in to the Islamic invasion either and they are not run by the EU, so I am learning to speak Swiss and looking to move into those beautiful mountains!
Er Psst. There is no Swiss language. Stick to English they are better at it than we are.
If you keep plugging away at this then maybe the complete arsekicking delivered to Lightweight today will be forgotten?
Got to be worth a shot at least.
Shows how weak Cameron is that anybody at all can think that someone as utterly discredited as Gordon “no more boom and bust” “we are best placed” ” saved the world” Brown could kick anyone. I could mash the arsehole every Wednesday without breaking sweat, although PMQs is a rotten way of discussing issues that really matter.
True. It always pisses me off that PMQs descends into the party-political point-scoring that passes for debate in the Commons. I thought the whole point about ANY ministerial question time was Parliamentary scrutiny of government. Not ‘you’re shit, we should be the government, na na na na na.’
As the sports commentators would say, you can only play what’s in front of you.
Ah yes, argument by analogy, an old Guardian favourite. I know I am being naive, but all three parties have the option of raising the intellectual level of PMQs, and none of them has had the wit to do so, although they know that the outside world finds the whole process puerile.
Lightweight’s questions were cheap shots which backfired. I didn’t see much wrong with how the PM answered them (apart of course from the fact that Spain is not a G20 member in its own right, which has the guidophiles so exercised). I do agree with you though about the planted questions. I just find them embarrassing.
Then no doubt everyone will forget the complete arse kicking that Brown gets every other week eh Jimmy?
I certainly have.
Good.
So next week back to the normal good, hard kicking of McSnotty.
Glad we can agree.
I would like to take this opportunity of wishing David Cameron the very best of luck at future Prime Minister’s Question Times and also th every best of luck to the Conservative Party at the next General Election
Brown made Parliamentary Government a complete mockery today. He didn’t answer any questions, stuffed the House with New Labour plants, mocked the Opposition for doing what they are there to do namely hold the Government to account and not as Brown sees to wish – making Tory policy announcements. I could go on but the c.unt isn’t worth it.
PMQ’s is weighted in favour of the Govt.
The PM always gets the last word and planted questions can re-inforce the point.
Live TV without notes would be better
The planted questions seem to be asked by the ultra thick backbenchers, often wimmen, or exceptionary incoherent Geordies or Clydesiders.
Often they appear to be linked to the work of some relatively unknown charidee which is working in a field which Gordon approves of.
Worst PM ever
Worst Government ever
Worst recession ever
Worst case of brainwashing ever
Even Zimbabwe’s economy is growing
The IMF are endorsing Zimbabwe’s economic policy?
Zimbabwe’s economic policy has got them out of recession. Maybe we should do the same. Abandon printing money and adopt a foreign currency. Any foreigncurrency. Adopt the US dollar.
The incompetent jackass Brown can’t be trusted to manage our own currency and economy.
burn his expense claims
Brown should take the trouble to read the Parliamentry briefing on the G20 Summit.
http://www.parliament.uk/commons/lib/research/briefings/snep-05028.pdf
“The G20 website http://www.g20.org lists the group’s members as (G8 countries in bold):5 Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, and also the European Union. The European Central Bank as an ‘institutional member’, along with the IMF and World Bank.”
But you can be sure that he will not own up to making a misjudgement.
I think it’s the other way round now – that Brown’s researchers are so desperate that they’re cobbling together his speeches and answers from bits of Labour-leaning blogs. Hilarious and pathetic.
we are so well placed.that is why the police are being squeezed……….
wait until next year………
there is no recovery…….it is all smoke and mirrors!!!!!!!!
we make nothing, the banks are bust and the oil is running out!!!!
and to cap it all the french have just taken over the city!
december the 1st was what our leaders have dreamed about…….
but rather oddly they forgot that the french and germans want to be the bosses of europe too………..and they will always stuff us!
its going to be so great living in the eussr!
Isn’t that a Beatles song?
a) Correct
b) Untrue. 4 EU members are in the G20 in their own right, as is the EU superstate. Even Brown would not stoop to your level of sophistry, to suggest that all the other 23 EU members are G20 members. Imagine if he had said that Malta or Luxembourg was a G20 member.
I know you think we are all stupid frothing far right nutters, but do credit us with some intelligence, and try to lie a little more convincingly.
What do you mean, no? I don’t give a shit about Cameron (see post above). Your response just proves the point that Labour are the natural party of opposition. Unfortunately I am starting to think that all we have are opposition parties, with nobody who looks like a government. But your blind loyalty to these utter failures is inexplicable, other than by assuming you are on payroll one way or another.
He is. The Tory payroll.
Despite Brown saying he didn’t he also implied last week that the Uk would start handing over regions in Helmand to Afghans in 2010 to-day he’s altered it to “when they are ready to accept the responsibility”. Like Bliar Brown has form -believe nothing he says even if it’s written down in blood
The 30,000 troops flowing into Afghanistan will be issued with Afghan passports.
The Tories would have done nothing.
The Afghans will be running their own affairs.
They should also be invited to run ours.
Est. GDP growth for 2009: 9%.
Gordon seems to think that Spain is a member of the G20. It isn’t, but Brown will not admit that. So I thought we ought to try to bring reality into line with Gordon, since Gordon will not come into line with reality.
See the following petition on the No 10 Website:
http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/Spain-G20/
Spain have applied to G20 to be the 21st member, on account of an unfair Thierry Henry goal
Surely Damian McBride can’t be Will Straws new handler?!
After all on Straw’s blog he lists the things that he “fights against” – and in at number 3 there is this:
3. Media manipulation and bias to support a hidden agenda.
Surely no member of the Straw family would come out with any bullshit would they……….
Cameron has got to stop asking Brown if he’s abolished Boom ‘n ‘Bust. It’s a fucking waste of time and has all the impact of water on a duck’s back to Brown. He just responds with the same fucking answer every time.
I think the question really should be: why doesn’t the Speaker compel ministers to give direct answers to direct questions, instead of dancing around the issue?
?
Why would a little bit of honesty be remiss?
Nope, still don’t get what you’re on about, sorry.
Just because politicians have traditionally squirmed their way out of giving straightforward answers doesn’t mean it should always be like that.
Regardless of which party forms the government, they should always be compelled to give honest and straightforward answers to Parliamentary questions. That’s what Parliamentary accountability is all about.
Ah, I see – rather than participate in intelligent debate, you’ve resorted to name-calling. Sorry, I mistook you for someone rational.
Misleading Parliament is very serious of course.
Likewise misleading the people is also very serious. Some may remember a couple of weeks ago I referred to an advert shown at peak viewing hours that was paid for by the government telling us that “there will be more police on the beat” and “its not only us that will be seeing more of them but so will the criminals.”
Also I see that when Police do actually make it to the beat they are being asked to patrol alone to save money. (Sorry lost the link on that one)
Well the big lie implodes and yet again the lies put out by the government in any early election stunt for which we have paid is shown to be utterly false.
When are people going to wake up?
Labour are liars, they were always liars and they always will be liars.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/politics/lawandorder/6710605/Police-spending-less-time-on-beat-warns-red-tape-Tsar.html
and why when this Country doesn’t have a pot to piss in does the Government think that is an appropriate use of our cash? That piss poot attempt to tell us there are Police about and the dog drowning piece of crap.
Surely it’s a question of what this bunch of wankers think ‘on the beat’actually means ?
Back beat? Mersey beat? Sugar beat? Beat me, whip me, love that pain beat?
Meanwhile the selling of Gold at the bottom of the market shows McTwat up for the utter moron he is
Gold surges to record high; nears $1,220/oz
http://uk.news.yahoo.com/22/20091202/tbs-uk-markets-precious-e5e6c38.html
Far be it for me to leap to Gordo’s defence, but he couldn’t have known that gold was going to go up this high. Plus, when he did sell the gold, he actually used it to buy Euros, with the aim of diversifying the State’s reserves, which is, in itself a sound investment principle. And the Euro has risen considerably since that time.
However, another sound investment principle is ‘buy low, sell high.’So selling when gold was priced close to an all-time low was pretty fucking stupid.
And another sound investment principle is ‘put some away for a rainy day.’So he fucked up on that one too – diversifying the State’s reserves is all very good, apart from the fact that now we’re nursing the biggest national debt in our history.
I’m not so keen on giving him stick about the gold rush. There are other more illustrative examples of his catastrophic mismanagement of the country’s finances.
Surely, if the purpose of selling 400 tons of gold was to achieve a ‘balance’with the amount of paper currency held then now that gold is four times the price he sold it for last time he should sell 3/4 of what’s left. To get the same balance. The ‘right’balance.
Also true – different elements of a portfolio grow at different rates, and therefore over time you suffer from risk slip. Now would be an absolutely IDEAL time to sell gold (as the State’s holdings will have increased in value significantly) and buy something that has dropped through the floor, say, Sterling.
However, the Chancellor isn’t going to do that, for several reasons:
1. If the State’s reserves bought Sterling, that would be going right against the BoE’s current QE policy of putting new money into the system;
2. Buying Sterling would reduce inflation, which HM Government don’t want – they want inflation to be higher, as to erode the real value of debt;
3. The State’s reserves are otherwise occupied now – probably being used to service our ballooning national debt;
4. Neither Gordo or Darling understand any of these issues – if they did, we wouldn’t be in this fucking mess to start with.
That was a lie, jgm2. They did some specious VaR risk analysis to retrofit a rationale to what remains an almost inexplicable decision – the only way it can be understood is to assume that he really did believe that he had abolished boom and bust, even after the dotcom crash had put the skids under the “new paradigm” theory, and thought gold would keep on falling.
From a risk management point of view, it was insane. The biggest risk was that the wheels would come off the global boom, and the best hedge against that was gold. Easy to say now, but any economist with more that a 10 year view should have known that.
http://www.usagold.com/reference/prices/history.html
A complete lie from Gordon? Retrofitted rationale for a predetermined (idiot) decision?
I’m shocked.
Next you’ll be telling me that nobody warned him of the effect on taxing pensions.
Or that everybody knew there was no WMD in Iraq.
My own hunch about the big gold sale is that Brown was attempting to drop the value of the £, maybe as a prelude to joining the Euro. Hence the pre announcement of the sale, rather than doing it all quietly to get the best price.
Not quite James.
Brown pre-announced his intention to sell gold reserves thus driving the price through the floor in what is today known as the Brown Bottom.
So he was just being the usual gormless, gurning, ghastly git we already know he is.
Well, that just makes him even stupider, doesn’t it? Planning to sell an asset and then taking steps to drive the market value of that asset DOWN? That’s like insider dealing, only backwards.
Good one, Gordo!
K I S S
Cannot understand why Cameron doesn’t go for the jugular.
” Does the Prime Minister know what the price of gold is today. And whether he now thinks selling gold at $1000 per oz less than today’s price ” Was the Right Thing To Do”?
I may be a political simpleton but it’s better than giving him an oppourtunity to reply that the Tories had no policy towards selling Gold
And like all great socialist experiments, astonishingly the children of our leaders find themselves propelled to the top of the political tree at an early age purely on merit (they still abhor the hereditary principle, naturally).
This argument disguises the real issue here. Our (unelected) PM was asked why this Country was still in recession given that he had said he was leading the World out of it. GB said well, Spain is in recession!!!!! So what? What a pratt, what kind of mahossive idiot would give that as an answer? We are still in a god awful recession, primarily due to him, we will be the last out (give or take Spain) and we have probably spent the most.
My blood boiled today – I think we all know DC went to Eton – so what? Is GB tryng to start a class war? Whatever school GB went to should be named as the maths lessons are obviously shite.
Not one question answered, not one. Labour are an utter disgrace – they should all be ashamed of themselves and the Speaker should be ashamed too – should he not make questions be answered?
I felt ashamed at our parliament today – a bunkc of gaffawing tossers, laughing, sniggering and pointing whilst this Country goes to the dogs.
Gordon Brown chairs B20 meeting, the meeting of Bust nations….

More ‘good’news for Gordon in the same vein as ‘we’re just as fucked as Spain’.
The International Monetary Fund estimated that during the years of President Robert Mugabe’s policy of reallocating land, the economy shrank by more than 40%.
So in ten years Zimbabwe’s economy shrank by 40%. That’s not very good is it?
But in the last year the UK economy has shrank 5% and that’s even after borrowing and squandering 13% of GDP. So the real decline in a prudent, balanced economic environment is more like 18%. In one year.
There you go Gordon – there’s your next soundbite. The UK – only half as fucked up as Zimbabwe.
and Mugabe – only half as mental as Broon
They don’t have a Q of folk wanting to get in the Country. They don’y pay Muslims to settle in the Country and take advantage of a lot of free handouts.
In fact there are millions of Zimbabweans out of the country. South Africa is probably the biggest destination. And the Zimmers are despised by the locals.
Sorry, but believe it or not, Zimbabwe are coming out of recession before us!

I understand your condition was very serious. In fact, it was touch-and-go at one stage.
Seen it, didn’t even get to finish me popcorn
If McBroon still thinks he can win the next election that’s a case of premature jock elation
not the only thing he hasnt told the truth on !
Bill quango if your reading , you might want to cheer up Bishop Cranmer and post your Labour creed , it was the funniest thing Ive read in ages , thankyou very much
Why haven’t Tory Central Office got somebody reading this blog 24/7 ( Other than Master Baiter) to feed back to Dave et al info such as Spain not being in the G20. Somebody on the minimum wage would do. Its Political not Rocket science.
‘Left Foot Forward’is an anagram of ‘Dwarf Tool Effort’.
I’ve got to hand it to Gordon Brown, you can’t keep him out of the headlines
Dec. 2 (Bloomberg) — European Union finance ministers overcame a clash between the U.K. and France to reach an agreement on overhauling financial supervision for the bloc.
“We’ve found a compromise. We’re in the process of creating a real European authority,” French Finance Minister Christine Lagarde told reporters in Brussels today. “It was a laborious process; not everyone was on same wavelength
[...] Spain into the G20, so he wasn’t lonely. Obviously, Spain isn’t in the G20, as pointed out by Guido and Tory Bear, who may well have broken the news, which was picked up on by some senior [...]
If Spain is a member of the G20 by virtue of it’s EU membership, then presumably all EU member states are members of the G20 as well, so the G20 has about 40 member states. Hmmm….
Still doesn’t alter the fact that the UK’s economy is buggered.
The BBC have decided that Spain is more or less a member of the G20, so this story is piffle.
here’s the text of my complaint to them – I doubt they will reply or respond, they don’t usually.

”
BBC “Spain is not officially a member of the G20 although it has been invited to attend key meetings, including the London summit on global economic recovery earlier this year.”
FF The Prime Minister of Ethiopia attended too – is Ethiopia just “not officially ” a member?
FF When you say “Spain is not officially a member of the G20″ I think what you mean is “Spain is not a member of the G20″ so might it not be better to say that? Facts are quite important, for a news organisation, wouldn’t you say?
cocksuckers
Deliberately missing the point. It’s not the size of the Spanish economy, it’s the fact that the Chairman of G20 doesn’t know who the fucking members are.
NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE.
No it isn’t, you prick.
1) Brown is so fucking hopeless he does not know who is in the G20, even though he is to chair it
(and even if he had not wrongly claimed that Spain was in the G20)
2) He is so deluded that he really thinks that naming another country that is shrinking makes it OK for us to have the longest and deepest recession on record.
It’s Brown who is missing the point.
Yes but no but Cameron lied to the House last week and the BBC gave him a real kicking.
Gordon threatens everyone that opposes him. Because he is a paranoid, control freak, with zero humanity or empathy. The good news is that his brain will explode quite soon.
Nothing trivial I hope. His gift to History will be that of the most reviled, nasty, useless PM’s this country has had the misfortune to have had. History will judge him as a fake, fraud, liar, and total charlatan. Which he is.
No, it isn’t a stupid thing to argue about. Gordon is wrong. He has misled the House. He is unambiguously and unarguably wrong. So Gordon needs to simply apologise, and correct himself.
For a normal person, that’s no big deal. You simply say, “sorry about that, I could have sworn I was right, but there you go, you learn something new every day. Anyway, moving on…”
Gordon can’t do that. He can’t admit to being wrong, ever. Because it’s politically difficult? No. Because Gordon is mental.
Just get it right!……….
Hope you left the “cocksuckers” comment in your complaint.
Given Gordons penchant for homosexual activity, you are on real thin ice there my boy!
By your own logic as the UK is sadly a member of the EU and the G20, we are doubly in recession?
Never mind Spain, Malik is Gordons Left Hand Man. Only one move to make before he gets his wished for Caliphate UK
Over my and 30 million other women’s dead bodies.
Gordon’s had it. Katie Price has said she’s going to stand against him at the GE………………….. On a Boom or Bust ticket.
stupido.
Will Straw? That wouldn’t be the same Will Straw that worked in Gordon’s press office at the Treasury, would it?
If true, this is what NuLabour has brought onto UK. We own your children and will take them away.

So gordon is still trying to sell the tories as the ‘priveleged one’s’and the labour members as what??? underpriveleged? hard done by?
Hmmm!
Harpyharriett privately educated at St Paul’s Girls School and then University of York
Alastair Darling privately educated at The Lorretto School Mussellbrugh and then the University of Aberdeen
Gordon fast tracked through high school because of his father’s influential position in the community and then University of Edinburgh
Ed Balls – Keble College Oxford
Yvette Coooper – Balliol Oxford and on and on………..
And let’s not forget they all got their University education for free.
When they came into power they removed that option – they deprived our children of that advantage and both I and my husband worked long hours to fund our kids through Uni.
Gordon had ‘the playing fields of Eton’handed to him on a plate. Not literally – because his priveleged educational lifestyle was elsewhere – but nonetheless similar.
Gordon made absolutely certain that such opportunities were never ever offered to the following generations!
Labour the party for inequality, unfairness and as little education as possible because that is the cheapest option!!!!
Oh Guido for goodness sake! I didn’t say anything worth modding!!
Brown has lied to the House of Commons and should apologise on the floor of the house tomorrow.
How low have we stooped when the prime minister can tell a bare faced lie to parliament?
How low have we stooped when the opposition are unable to simply de-bunk it?
This is so bad, democracy and politics seems to have been turned upside down…
Spain (10),
Netherlands (16), Belgium (20), Poland (21), Sweden (22), Austria (24), Greece (27) and Denmark (29) are included only as part of the EU, and not independently
Spain is not a member of the G20
Will Straw prepped Gordon for PMQs.
Posting it twice won’t change the fact that it’s irrelevant.
But Goebbels said …..
