        jgm2 says:

So are Poland and Latvia and all the rest of them. Poland didn’t have a recession at all. I don’t know how Latvia and Estonia et al are doing but it wouldn’t surprise me if they’re out of recession too.

Brown, by seeking to bring Spain into the equation and claim we’re joint last out of 20 has now made himself joint last of 46 countries to come out of recession.

He really is monumentally incompetent isn’t he?

        • 18
          jgm2 says:

Bring in Zimbabwe and a few others and he could proclaim that he’s joint last out of a nice round 50 countries.

Brown likes round numbers. Like 800,000,000,000 additional debt. Lots of round numbers there.

          • FFS!

That’s like saying “Man Made” Global Warming may be difficult to prove, but we’d better cut down our “carbon” emissions just in case.

Why sign a petition to try and electorially posthumously erase a one-eyed, fiscally impotent idiot from making a humungous clusterfuck of a statement in today’s PMQs?

          • jgm2 says:

Just for fun I divided 800,000,000,000 or 800bn quid by 20,000 – an average kind of wage to find out how long Brown would have to work to pay off all his debt.

            40,000,000 years. At zero interest.

Here’s a shovel Brown. Get digging.

          • It’s “only” 40 grand of debt for every single worker in the country to service.

Who wouldn’t object to being extorted for 2000 pounds each every year to service Gordo’s memory.

Please stop associating my name with that white hoon gordon brown. It is widely knwon here in Zimbabwe that Brown stole most of my economic ideas, but he lacks the intelligence to make them a success – hence my economy is now in growth – his isn’t.

I saw he even copied me on having his political opponents arrested and then printing money to solve problems.

Does he ever seek to blame foreigners for the problems he creates? Just wondering?

          Canary Person says:

As Britain had the largest financial sector of any European country it stands to reason that we would suffer most.Nothing strange or extraordinary in that.Signs that we are now out of recession.

          • jgm2 says:

So squandering 200bn is showing signs of buying us 0.1% ‘growth’ is it? That’s what Gordon said last quarter.

          • Get out that Credit card to end the party running out of booze!

          • Mongrel says:

Jesus H Christ Canary Person, do you really believe that? It’s not that we have the largest financial sector, it’s that we do so little else and have a massive drag from excessive government spending. All that happened was that the City masked the underlying uselessness of so much of the rest of the economy. Large parts of the UK are effectively Soviet economies – see “public spending to rise to 50% of gdp” on cebr.
            http://www.cebr.com/Newsroom/forecasting_eye.htm

          • Gordons favourite Butt Plug says:

We are well past the tipping point whereby total tax revenues are well exceeded by the cost of the Public Sector. This is before pension liabilities. That is the real elephant in the room.

The whole social project is indeed over. However it would now be best for Labour to win the next election. Call me Dave, as I hug a Hoodie is nowhere near strong enough to take the necessary action.

          • sinosimon says:

are you canary person as in alistair campbell……last seen making any kind of sensible statement when running around labour conference flapping your imaginery wings shouting ‘i’m a canary…i’m a canary….’?

this would at least explain why you think inventing 18% of gdp in fairy dust money has saved the world/nation/labour party…….

or are you just one of mandelson’s chumps…..?

          • Rumpole says:

The reason we are in the shit is because we have (or had) the largest financial sector of any European country.
The financial sector is what has caused the problem because it is not an industry. It produces nothing. It is a belief based robbery system.
Credit is what it is all about and Credit is belief. (Can you credit it? I can’t credit that!) It is belief that the “money” that is lent is real, but it isn’t. The punter is led to believe that it is, there are some who actually know what it is, but they are not in the scam.
Do you suppose Fred the Shred knows that all that money he has stashed away off shore is nothing more that a great heap of chocolate teapots?
Like old Frazer used to say…”We’re all doomed”.

          Recession recession says:

Poland isn’t in a recession (yet) because they have all the UK’s frikkin money via the EU!

Luckily the Communists running Poland have stolen so much of the money, that the country has to have MASSIVE cutbacks in all budgets to balance the books. But the people STILL vote for these idiots, the same as they vote for New Labour over here.

There isn’t a week goes by that is not shown the roads or hospitals or other budget is being slashed in Poland*. It’s so bad even been mentioned on German news, but strangely quiet on the fountain of truth BBC.

*The benefits of bothering to learn multiple languages in a decent pre-New Labour school.

        • 98
          Mongrel says:

The end of what? Nobody cares any more. The drug laws are irrational, and most people think so. Straw’s worst sin is nepotism. How else would a 29 year old get to a position of such influence that his schoolboy errors on world economics are faithfully repeated by the Prime Minister?

          And?

There has been a massive shift in the past few years towards the point that no point in critisising someone in their 40s for what they did in their teens.

Anyone born since 1945 has grown up with some socailly acceptable use of drugs around them.

An increasing number of people see the large amounts of low level crime and high level profits, stemming from the fact that these drugs are illegal – legalisation, if any government dared to do it, would be the biggest overnight crime reduction strategy in history.

Why does “Spain” need to be in the “G-20″? We need a nearby country full of grinning poor-people who live in the sun, to go on holiday in. (And why could not I ever buy any cheese there?)

What, anyway, is the G-20 for? It looks like a more piss-headed and more dangerous version of the otherwise-harmless Bullingdon, to me. It is a dining club for dangerous Statist mountebanks who want to strut and have escort girls delivered.

Spain is well out of it. Nice place. Let it stay that way.

    jgm2 says:

Guido – any chance of going after the Labour MPs – particularly Darling – for market manipulation and insider dealing. After all they had privileged knowledge that their government was not in fact going to act in a prudent manner regarding the asset bubble in house prices. Any sane, rational person would have expected a prudent government to act and quell the rampant speculation and bubblenomics but the likes of Brown and Darling knew full well they were going to slash interest rates as low as necessary to preserve his smoke and mirrors prosperity.

I think we should be able to go after the fuckers for market manipulation for personal profit.

    What do you reckon.

That’s why we got rid of the Tories.

But instead we got the biggest boom and bust in UK history. And the biggest housing bubble and crash.

          • I’ve been watching debt replace work in this Potemkin economy. I knew it had to fail someday.

The problem is that I worry that the debt servicing will ruin the country permanently (unless we have a revolution and renege on sovereign debt).

As you probably guessed by now I’m an LVTer (with the Citizens Dividend rather than bureaucrat directed spending). There should be no government debt, if the state wants to borrow it should sell LVT discounts, then everyone will see how much the state is costing them.

The PM shouldn't be disturbed but this cunt is says:

Let’s not get too upset by Brown’s endless lies, and deceits.
Hate, envy, and stoopidity will be the cornerstones of Labour’s magnificent electoral triumph in 2010.

Labour’s core vote, the professional benefits scroungers, the disability fraudsters, the Scotch parasites, the ‘I knows me rights, but could give two shits about me responsibilities, innit’ vermin, the state employed paper shufflers, and the media filth will unite in a tide of human wretchedness to re-elect our gang of Scotch/sodomite/spendaholic/war criminal/incompetant/hate filled, overlords to office.

Let’s focus instead upon our Taxodus.

To the liars in the bunker, Edward Timpson is a ‘toff’ who’s crime was to have parents who disgustingly started a business and profited from it.
His opponent the yellow buck toothed Dunwoody slag was a ‘person of the people’, despite her political heritage.
The fact Labour would champion parasite Dunwoody and not Timpson tells us all we need to know about the catastrophic path Brown and gang have set us on.

This is the twisted logic which is driving the wealth creators from Britain, to be replaced by Somalis, Indians, and Slavs.

Fuck parasite Britain, let these scum sink it.

Any populace which would be seriously considering giving Brown/Labour another five years deserves everything it gets.

And I am unanimous in that

Im orf to sunnier climes aint i, but Ill take great delight in the sterling crisis.

    Memory Man says:

The original data relating to Spain’s G20 status was accidentally burnt during an office relocation, but a study from UEA based on the data proves categorically, that Spain exhibits a positive membership anomaly.

The recent decline in its membership of the G20 is an irrelevant statistical artifact that it is entirely appropriate to delete from the report when submitting it to academic journals.

How Brown plays this will be interesting. If he owns up and admits he made an error, this will all blow over and he will come out of this looking good. If he continues to stick to his guns as he usually does, this could run for a bit, and reinforce the public perception of Brown as stubborn and unable to admit to his mistakes.

Is Brown big enough to admit to a mistake? I have a feeling we already know the answer to that one, but we shall see how Brown handles this over the next couple of days…

        http://www.torproject.org/overview.html.en

Tor is a network of virtual tunnels that allows people and groups to improve their privacy and security on the Internet. It also enables software developers to create new communication tools with built-in privacy features. Tor provides the foundation for a range of applications that allow organizations and individuals to share information over public networks without compromising their privacy.

Individuals use Tor to keep websites from tracking them and their family members, or to connect to news sites, instant messaging services, or the like when these are blocked by their local Internet providers. Tor’s hidden services let users publish web sites and other services without needing to reveal the location of the site. Individuals also use Tor for socially sensitive communication: chat rooms and web forums for rape and abuse survivors, or people with illnesses.

Journalists use Tor to communicate more safely with whistleblowers and dissidents. Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) use Tor to allow their workers to connect to their home website while they’re in a foreign country, without notifying everybody nearby that they’re working with that organization.

        • 166

    Sir William Waad says:

    Ronald Reagan (PBUH) quotes:

Concentrated power has always been the enemy of liberty.

Government always finds a need for whatever money it gets.

Government does not solve problems; it subsidizes them.

Government exists to protect us from each other. Where government has gone beyond its limits is in deciding to protect us from ourselves.

Government’s first duty is to protect the people, not run their lives.

Government’s view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

Governments tend not to solve problems, only to rearrange them.

No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we’ll ever see on this earth!

The problem is not that people are taxed too little, the problem is that government spends too much.

We should measure welfare’s success by how many people leave welfare, not by how many are added.

As the bankers gained more influence over world leaders this has now all changed and Reagan did nothingt to remedy this, reagan was one of many stooges of the bankers, only JFK wanted to seize control of the federal reserve bank which manipulates the US and world economy and wars for it’s own gain and place it back into the accountable hands of US goverment and look what happend to him!

    NAKED IN the UK DAY
Don’t forget to mark your calendars. As you may already know, it is a sin for a Muslim male to see any woman other than his wife naked. He must commit suicide if he does. So next Saturday, all British women are asked to walk out of their house completely naked and walk around for a few hours to help weed out any neighbourhood terrorists.
As you may know, Islam frowns on the consumption of alcohol, so distinguish themselves from the terrorist population, all patriotic British men are asked to do their bit for this anti-terrorist effort by seating themselves in lawn chairs, in front of their house, with several six-packs of beer and show their support for several thousand naked women (other than their wife, of course) as they walk around naked.
The Conservative Party appreciates your efforts to root out terrorists and applauds your participation in this anti-terrorist activity.

Is this a piss take? although sounds plausible on the grounds that the great Gordoom would welcome another big loser into the fold to improve his G20 rating, he could then creep in at 20 out of 21.

    Jack Frost says:

The thing that really amazes me is that the Scottish hoon thought that the fact that Spain was still in recession somehow made it ok that we were.
    Spain!
FFS Gordon, the Spanish were still riding donkeys 30 years ago.
Is that how far we’ve come? That we should be grateful for being able to judge ourselves favourably against the Club Med basket case.
All right, the Pedros have come a long way since the days of the generalissimo, profiting immensely from all the time shares and egg and chips with sangia sold to beetroot faced Brits in football outfits.
But, G20 member or not, since when has anyone mistaken Spain for an economic powerhouse?
I think it was the 16th century Gordon and, even then, it was mainly the Aztec gold that did it.
Another thing. When Gordon started taunting Cameron with all the policies that the Tories hadn’t supported, why the f didn’t Cameron just point out that the one-eyed idiot’s policies had left us mired in recession while everyone else is growing?

It’s all about rubbing it in. You’re the ‘do nothing’ Tories because you can quite literally do nothing. I can fuck about, gurn around, chase black men through hotel kitchens, print money, fly around the world to my hearts content and you can ‘do nothing’.

That is all Brown and his gang of Imbecile Deniers have to offer.

We’re in power and you’re not. Ner ner ner ner ner.

We have our PM chasing the president of the US through a fucking hotel kitchen so he can then drop it into conversation that he ‘had a word’ with the US president. Probably seven words from Obama. ‘Fuck off Brown you fucking deranged stalker.’

We have him directing the president of P*k*s*an to pull his finger out and arrest Osama Bin Laden.

The guy is so much into his vicarious Churchill delusion he still thinks we rule India. Yessir bwana we’ll just mobilise the First Poona Rifles and put down this mutiny. Regards, Kipling.

The fucker is completely off his fucking head.

This guy redifines incompetence. And delusional.

Incompetence just doesn’t cut it any more. We need a whole new word to define what we’re looking at here.

They say Helen of Troy was so beautiful that she had a face that launched a thosand ships. Academics have propsed a measure of beauty be a ‘Helena’.

By the same measure mental hospitals are famous for having so many Napoleans that they could have won Waterloo a hundred times over. I propose that Gordon Brown rates as a full 1000 Napoleans.

      An absolute full-on, loon-in-a-billion.

Oh great. How priviliged we all are to see him in action. Entire species have evolved and become extinct without seeing an individual of this magnitude of idiocy. But as Max Boyce was wont to say ‘We were there’.

    gordon with a high IQ??

    Is that why:

he’s made a maul of the afghan war and considered by the military as the most uncaring leader of all time

he sold our gold at rock bottom prices

he’s led us into a recession that every other G20 state, except us, is now out of

he’s universally loathed by other leaders

he’s nationally loathed as the worst pm ever

he’s mentally incapable of connecting with ordinary people.
