Bullying and Irony

Bad Al Campbell is decrying Andy Coulson for “bullying”. Where does one start?

Campbell drove a man to his grave.  He is the model for Malcolm Tucker, he lied and bullied all his days in Downing Street.  Damian McBride was just a cut price version of his predecessor.  Watch his face in this classic encounter when Michael Howard goes all j’ accuse…

Coulson now spends his days bullying tabloid editors.  Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose…

But never mind chattering on about the economy all the time, let’s discuss today’s word: today’s word is OCCUPATION.
OCCUPATION is when military forces attempt to OCCUPY residential areas. We tried to militarise residential areas in Northern Ireland and we are now using the same tactics in Afghanistan.
            Oh shit.

        Hugh Janus says:

Very well put, Mr T, very well put. Campbell probably did more to damage what was left of the reputation of British politics than any other living person. Howard’s denounciation of this utterly repugnant individual was masterful and long overdue.

Bliar’s legacy? That’s easy – he twisted and distorted already thin intelligence in order to join his best friend Dubya in what he hoped would be a ‘good war’ for him and, in the process, wasted countless lives. He took this country to war on false ‘evidence’ and in order to do so he lied to Parliament and the people – you can’t really sink any lower than that. He wanted to be remembered as the tough war leader, something akin to Mrs T’s Falklands campaign. Only one difference – Mrs T acted within the law, and moreover she used our troops to defend British territory.

Bliar is nothing more than a mendacious little prat whose actions have done this country untold damage. I’m really looking forward to seeing how this grinning chimp responds to the Iraq enquiry. There is nothing too bad that can happen to him as far as I am concerned.

New Labour are pathological liars says:

Tony Blair an exceptional leader… didn’t Campbell mean he was (and is) an exceptional pathological LIAR!

After 12 New Labour years, the verdict is they were wasted years. The UK is economically, politically, and democratically ruined.

To keep those in power in power, freedom of speech is being killed off, state surveillance at an unprecedented level, top to bottom corruption in the police ’service’, the right to protest being killed off, can’t use a camera without the b*llshit of terrorism or being accused of being a paedo, stealing innocent people’s DNA. The list just goes on and on.

      • 148
        Master Baiter says:

        Yep! Summed it up nicely.

But the true vile nature of the Blair/Brown years of destroying our democracy have still not been recognised and a rump 25% of bearded arseholes, teachers, local government jobsworths, insane menopausal wimmin with wide staring eyes and “causes” and former KGB collaborators still want us to embrace a corrupt, bankrupt and utterly discredited vile ideology that made the lives of millions miserable, that persecuted, oppressed, tortured and murdered millions. Now these same wankers have picked up the AGW club to beat us with.

Then they have the bare-faced audacity to call the Tories “nasty”.

Spoofa being moderated, will it get through, will it not?

          • Master Baiter says:

And in the meantime let us return to the word of the day: OCCUPATION
OCCUPYING FORCES must demonstrate their DOMINANCE over the civilian population by picking a few of the locals up randomly and giving them a good fucking hiding. If any of them backchat then you are allowed to torture them, Jack Straw has okay’d it.
If the beatings don’t work then the OCCUPYING FORCE will have to stop fucking about and start dispensing some summary justice SAS stylee back of the head double tap endex.
Restricting electricity and water and food will really help to force the local population onto their knees and a few turncoats will help us for their own profit. This in turn leads to a civil rupture and so helps to divide and weaken the nations population.
            This is how OCCUPATION works.
The New Labour Party are war and occupation and torture specialists, we know what we are doing, it is our thing.
You can sleep tight knowing the Labour War Party is doing the dirty torture work on your behalf and in your name.

Yep! They’ll still be the same bankers, doing the same work for the same people – but based somewhere where there are no direct taxes, so they keep 100% of their bonus rather than 60%.

And property prices have fallen loads there recently, so they should be able to get themselves a bargain place to live!

How big is the Dubai debt? I fear $60bn is the tip of the iceberg and many UK banks are exposed to it massively. HSBC shares anyone?

Still on the upside we all may end up with a share of a Footballers ghastly villa.

It’s the right thing to do.

      It started in Dubai.

      • 82
        Steve Expat says:

Total govt debt in Dubai is said to be around $80bn, $60bn of which is with the Dubai World company that is trying to restructure it’s debts at the moment. There are assets covering the majority of this debt though, many of them abroad. Not too much transparency though so there can always be skeletons, I think this is what the markets were thinking yeaterday.

It’s not as bad as the news suggests, they’re just trying to buy some wiggle room and are probably quite shocked by the way the international markets reacted. If push comes to shove they will raise the money from bond sales to other Emirates or banks.

The stories about the footballers are total bollocks – they all bought villas on the palm island 5 or 6 years ago, they have made a killing on them even with the recent price drop. Property prices spiked up and then down, if you bought 2 years ago then you’re level money, if you bought 1 year ago then you’ve lost half! If you bought 5 years ago you’ve probably tripled your investment, but still wishing you’d sold last year!

Just wondering why Abu Dhabi didn’t step in before going public.

          • Steve Expat says:

Not sure on that one, although the seven Emirates are pretty independent (think of the USA or the EU states for comparison). Maybe the offer from AD wasn’t at good enough rates, maybe the govt wanted to see if they could refinance commercially (so the banks take the hit rather than the govt!).

Saving face is very important to the Arabs, it’s quite normal that bad news travels very slowly up the chain of command, and every version of it is more optimistic than the previous version! By the time it got to the Sheikhs it probably would have sounded like one of Broon’s “I Saved the World” speeches and taken a while to be figured out by them for what it really meant.

The timing of the announcemt was also interesting, after the local markets had closed for a long holiday (the Muslim euqivalent of Easter) – they are not open again until Mon I think, so I’m, sure they certainly thought it would have an effect locally, if not internationally. I doubt very much they were expecting this to be on News at Ten over here, else they would have done things differently.

        • 107
          Clueless says:

But who would you sell it too?

          • Steve Expat says:

          Master Baiter says:

Zimbabwe has demographics that are entirely different to the UK. It is the influence of demographics that has created problems in Zimbabwe as much as anything.
Face it Zimbabwe is a haven of peace, good order and tranquility in comparison to places like the Democratic Republic of Congo the former Zaire.
So a few European farmers are being disposessed in Zimbabwe, so what, it was stolen land in the first place.
In the end China will outflank the Europeans and US and create productive trading relationships in Africa, they already are.

          Too long.

          • jgm2 says:

So what? It was the European farmers who had the know-how and long-term planning to ensure that irrigation worked and was maintained. The Zimbabweans (or – more correctly – the connected henchmen of their Maximum Imbecile) have ‘repossessed’ their farms and then used the pipework for fence posts or to coral their goats and now they can’t grow enough to feed themselves and their goats have died of thirst.

It is what is called a phyrric victory.

‘What have the Europeans ever done for us…?’

‘All right… all right… but apart from better sanitation and medicine and education and irrigation and public health and roads and a freshwater system and baths (?) and public order… what have the Europeans done for us? ‘

            ‘Brought peace! ‘

            Nice one Mr Mugabe.

          • Animal says:

You really have no clue about the subject do you? How can you describe a country where politcal expression is disallowed, basic human rights ignored, democracy brazenly abused and the lives of all citizens treated as expendable as a “haven of peace, good order and tranquility”?

You throw in some pathetic comment about the famers – describing them as European when most had been there for over a hundred years – who were removed from land they had worked and provided stable long term employment. You conveniently omit to mention the dozens of black people who were murdered in the process, women raped, children abused, Mugabe giving the land to his friends, the now ruinous state of agriculture in the country and the resultant starving, unemployed masses trapped in a rut of long term hyper-inflation.

But of course, that doesn’t matter to you. “So what” is your candid reply.

Those two words speak volumes about you.

Millions are being killed there and not a peep about it on this blog. Just boogie man Mugabe, could it be something to do with kith and kin?

South Korea has taken rights to farm almost the whole of Madagascar, try to keep up.

          • Animal says:

“It is the influence of demographics that has created problems in Zimbabwe ”

Nothing to do with a murderous despot then.

What a denying little twat you are.

          • Animal says:

“Just boogie man Mugabe, could it be something to do with kith and kin?”

Probably is. Mugabe is a cut-price post-watershed little version of this Labour Administration. It’s really not that hard to work out, even for a halfwit little troll like you. But then, people on the left have a big problem with Mugabe; after years spent praising him to the rafters they really don’t know what to say. So it’s all someone else’s fault. As ever.

          • Master Baiter says:

Nobody is saying that Mugabe is not a murderous despot, dimwit. The points being made, and they are simple are:

            1. Compared to Congo/Zaire, Zimbabwe is a haven of peace, good order and tranquility. This does not mean that Zimbabwe enjoys peaace, good order and tranquility, becasue it doesn’t. It means that the situation in Congo/Zaire is catastrophically awful.
            2. The rapid demographic changes in Zimbabwe create enormous problems.
            3. The European and US links with Africa is being and will be eclipsed by the Chinese and other Asian nations who are succeeding in making productive relationships in Africa.

            Ok?

            Too long

          • Brixjac says:

Fucked economy blamed on rich internal ‘elite’ and wicked overseas interests. – Well bakers should take their share of the blame. And not nay people in teh Zimbabwean blame the economic situation on internal élites – they blame it on us!

Opposition blamed for governments failings. – like all countries around the world. That’s democratic politics for you!

Mass unemployment. Taxpayers money used to buy government voters votes. – Again. How? Where?

Rigged elections. – any proof of this except for a couple of isolated incidents. I certainly can’t see anything like a fraction of the scale of Zimbabwe

Money printing on an astronomical scale. – Again teh comparison is ridiculous. Zimbabwe inflation: 516 quintillion per cent. UK inflation: Just over 1%

Police and judiciary politicised. – The Tories are doing this as much as Labour. Boris Johnson sacking Ian Blair, these stupid elected police commissioners that Cameron is going on about. Anyway the UK police/judiciary are quite significantly less politicised than in Zimbabwe.

Parliament raided and opposition MPs arrested. – One opposition MP was arrested (unless i have missed another one). He was released, it was massive cock-up. Quiet unlike Zimbabwe where opposition politicians are arrested, detained without charge and brutally beaten on an almost daily basis.

Government critics muzzled and dying on bleak farms and hillsides. – which critics are dying on bleak farms?

Surveillance state. – Fair enough have too many CCTV cameras, but i wouldn’t hardly call it a surveillance state. Will its certainly not used in the same way as Zimbabwe

And in a very real sense tens/hundreds of thousands of black and white Zimbabweans physically moving here to get away from their very own Maximum Imbecile. Talk about out of the frying pan…

She literally looks down her nose at other guests in a patronising manner that shows her perceived knowledge that she is better than others.

When talking, or rather arguing her point, she often closes her eyes. This is an established and unconscious non-verbal method of communication that allows her to block out other people. She does not like to maintain eye contact while being questioned.

She was cast from the New Labour mould of deny everything, ignore everything, and repeat the script ad nauseum.

There’s more to being the British head of state than tea parties and opening old people’s homes. Unfortunately, the Queen has sat on her royal arse and allowed the Labour party to run amok in this country, even to the extent of deliberately importing millions of immigrants to ethnically change the make up of the country.

If she doesn’t have the power, or refuses to use to use it to protect the indigenous population of this country, then what is the fucking point of a constitutional Monarchy?

New Labour has conducted a “boil a frog” method of creeping erosion of the established constitution.

Unless the overwhelming majority of Her Majesty’s subjects protest that Parliament is acting against their will, she cannot hope to claim a constitutional crisis.

      Bullying UK State says:

As I posted on Old Holborn’s blog earlier this morning:

The UK state and its cohorts is simply a bully.

If this was a school with such a bullying headmaster then parents would withdraw their children from the school until such times as the headmaster was removed.

If this was a school with such a bullying child then parents would withdraw their children from the school until such times as that child was removed.

Think of any aspect of UK life in which the State is not bullying you, your family or your nearest and dearest.

Still thinking aren’t you, because there is nothing which the UK State is not bullying about.

Perhaps we could start by reporting the UK State to their own anti-bullying hotline …

Here is an example of such bullying:

The more I argued with them, the better I came to know their dialectic. First they counted on the stupidity of their adversary, and then, when there was no other way out, they themselves simply played stupid. If all this didn’t help, they pretended not to understand, or, if challenged, they changed the subject in a hurry, quoted platitudes which, if you accepted them, they immediately related to entirely different matters, and then, if again attacked, gave ground and pretended not to know exactly what you were talking about. Whenever you tried to attack one of these apostles, your hand closed on a jelly-like slime which divided up and poured through your fingers, but in the next moment collected again. But if you really struck one of these fellows so telling a blow that, observed by the audience, he couldn’t help but agree, and if you believed that this had taken you at least one step forward, your amazement was great the next day. The Jew had not the slightest recollection of the day before, he rattled off his same old nonsense as though nothing at all had happened, and, if indignantly challenged, affected amazement; he couldn’t remember a thing, except that he had proved the correctness of his assertions the previous day.
