Al Gore TV Calls Palin a “TWILF”

Whilst the left on both sides of the Atlantic goes completely neurotic about the populist success of  Murdoch’s Fox News they forget that Al Gore owns a TV station aimed at the MTV generation – Current TV – unlike Fox it has lost over $10m every year since it started in 2004.  It is a rabidly left-wing channel, with plenty of mentalism of the enviro kind, that out-crazies Glenn Beck’s infotainment by a long chalk.  It is always claiming that the planet is on the edge of extinction making those Sunday morning hell-and-brimstone televangelists look moderate by comparison.

Current TV has a cartoon show “Supernews” aimed at kids which has just provoked controversy after describing Sarah Palin as a “TWILF” – which Guido likes to believe stands for Twitterer I Would Like To Follow.  The politically correct might note that Palin was also mocked as a “Gun – Ho” which Guido thought was quite funny, but suspects if he used “ho” about a female politician the  left-wing Thought Police would be frothing.  For some reason twittering Conservative women drive left-wingers to apoplexy.  Britain’s TWILFs; Nadine Dorries, Joanne Cash and Louise Bagshawe provoke masses of abuse from the left-wing Twitterati.  Nadine in particular is plagued with fake Twitter accounts impersonating herA dangerous game now the High Court has ruled Twitter impersonation actionable…

Yep. Oh and get off my blog you pinhead.

          • It is a rabidly left-wing channel, with plenty of mentalism of the enviro kind says:

For many years, it has been a widely held belief that the environment is an issue for the left. So I understand why, in environmental circles, the high profile that my party has recently given to the challenge of climate change was greeted initially with a degree of scepticism. The green movement was similarly suspicious of Governor Schwarzenegger in California when he began to focus on the same issue. But suspicion has now turned to surprise, with the realisation that politicians of the centre right are engaged, in earnest, with this most pressing and crucial challenge for our society.

I shared a platform with Tony Juniper, director of Friends of the Earth, and committed my party to supporting a climate change Bill in the Queen’s speech. Such a Bill would establish year-on-year targets for the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by at least 60 per cent by 2050, set in place a legal framework to ensure the targets are met, and establish an independent monitor to report to Parliament on Britain’s progress in meeting them.

Politicians must work together, nationally and internationally, if we are to develop an effective response to the global challenge of climate change. Our children will judge the current generation of political leaders on our ability to put aside party differences in order to face up to this unprecedented global threat.

I recently met former US Vice-President Al Gore, whose powerful film about climate change, An Inconvenient Truth, is about to be distributed in UK cinemas, and I am delighted that Republican Senator John McCain, who has done so much to promote a cross-party consensus on climate change in the US, will be coming to our party conference in Bournemouth this October. Rising to the threat of climate change will require more than conventional party politics has to offer

            - David Cameron

          • I B Seldom-Lucid says:

So, David, it still is an issue for the left. Do you reject all that Chrostopher Monckton has to say about Gore and his numbskull campaigning?

I will be voting at the next election for a candidate who wants to address the most pressing issues in UK politics – corruption, theft, dishonesty, ignorance, greed and arrogance in Parliament – rather than hysterical moral posturing.

Ask yourself why left wing Obama is cooling in his fervour for the Copenhagen Climate Treaty. Could it be that he associates it with the loss of national sovereignty – that you have colluded in – and the frightening rise of a non-democratic European secretive state?

          • The problem with all this fundamentalist enviro-preaching is that all sorts of self-contradictory bollox is actioned, such as cutting down huge forests for UK green madness which has to be the finest bit of eco-irony I’ve heard in a long while.

And deliberately blurring the two distinct but opposite fields of “conserving fuel consumption and efficiencies” and Anthropomorphic Global Waming is equally mendacious.

          • Eco-Dave with the windmill says:

            Dave certainly believes in AGW

          • I B Seldom-Lucid says:

‘Dave certainly believes in AGW’ – if he does he has lost my vote and probably those of the rest of my family.

Sadly, much of this new religion is just that. There are many ways that the abundant energy in our environment can be exploited and reduce our dependence on inefficient combustion of hydro-carbons. Governments have been pouring money into photo-voltaics for decades and have discovered the limitations.

The real problem is that politicians can gain no personal power or wealth by sponsoring sound scientific education and research. They only want to give our money to people with impressive titles but malleable morals. I can give you a long list of university professors who will say pretty much anything you like for the right kind of money.

Education in maths, science and engineering is being deliberately degraded by western political gangsters because their ambitions might be thwarted by objective thruths. We are already well on our way to a return of the Pol Pot regime on a global basis.

It is already the case in the UK that speech is not free. If you speak something unacceptable, you will suffer punishments ranging from arbitrary application of silly laws to murder. Thought crime is something that politicians on all sides would like to be legislated against.

We must rid ourselves of criminal political gangs, including the 3 main parties. We need to elect a truly indepenent parliament and then purge professional politicians from public life.

My fear is that there will be apathy at the next election and not enough change will be made. I fear that that the consequences could be very distressing.

They pay fuck all tax in the UK.

Oh, Al Gore has demonstrated his utter lack of scientific understanding and complete disregard for facts again by claiming on NBC’s tonight Show with Conan O’Brien that the temperature of rocks only 2 KM or so down is several million degrees!

The fact is that rocks are between 500 and 900 degrees at that depth.

This is why climate alarmists make me laugh.

They will denigrate any scientist, no matter the amount of Phd’s. published, peer reviewed papers, professorships, etc. if their research does not support a hypothesis that is increasingly being proven false by nature (AGW catastrophy), but they support this failed, idiot, lying, politician no matter what utter bullshit he spouts. He claims to be religious and his particular sect believes that the earth is only a few thousand years old. Yet these well-meaning alarmist idiots give Al Gore a total pass! Even after ALL the more alarmist threats asserted by his “inconvenient truth” polemic have been proven false, he still keeps making those misleading claims. Mind-you, his fear-mongering and insider trading based on those fears are set to make him billions of dollars, so no conflict of interest there is there?

Why is Al Gore’s own carbon footprint far greater than George Bush’s? Could it be that the Gore knows that what he is preaching is utter bullshit after all? I will not be lectured on climate-change by a man whose own carbon footprint is more than 100 times greater than my own.

The ice-core and tree-ring-proxy “hockey sticks” have been proven to be a total fraud. The radiative balance of CO2 has been shown to be negative according to observation, rather than flawed computer modelling and the earth has been cooling. The minimum ice extent in the Arctic has increased by over 10% per year for the last two years and the maximum ice extent in the Antarctic was the greatest extent on record this year, recently sea levels have levelled off from their normal inch or so rise per year and those fucking polar bears are breeding like rabbits!

But the alarmists would rather listen to a religious nutcase who believes the earth is only a few thousand years old and that the temperature of the rocks a couple of kilometers down is 10,000% hotter than reality. Perhaps this is why one alarmist wrote on a blog that we are destroying the planet and unless we evolve to breathe lava in the next 100 years, we are doomed!

And they are wondering why the majority view in the west is becoming ever more sceptical of the anthropogenic influence on climate change.

          • Real scientists publish their data sets, and don’t cherry pick data to suit prejudged conclusions.

Man made global warming is a theory in search of evidence – and that’s a fact.

Belief in MMGW is, as the courts and superfreakonomics points out, a faith position. It is not science. The scientific method demands a control, demands replication, demands falsifiability – the MMGW story skips all this. All it has are computer models.

I build computer models. They tell you nothing you don’t already know – they simply clarify. And if you miss something out…. they don’t match the real world.

MMGW might be true – it might. But we have no strong proof that it is. Or that we could counter it. WRONG!

Here is a list of 450 of them representing THOUSANDS of scientists:

            http://www.populartechnology.net/2009/10/peer-reviewed-papers-supporting.html

And no, it these are NOT oil-funded. IN FACT there is more oil money being pumped into AGW research than there is in neutral climate research.

The Alarmists cannot let the FACTS get in the way of scary alarmism can they?

As for the IPCC, lead by a railway engineer come economist? How many of the peer-reviewed journals that the IPCC rely on actually support their alarmist view on catastrophic climate change caused by man? Hmmmmmmm?

JUST FOUR! A clear majority of the scientific journals used by the IPCC actually disagree with the alarmist argument. The do contend that CO2 has a warming effect, which it obviously does, but that it has a minor effect and it is NOT in any way leading to catastrophe.

The IPCC is NOT a scientific organisation. It is a POLITICAL organisation, which cherry-picks evidence gathered by paid for scientists to pursue a political agenda to create a political consensus to create an international legal framework that can control, restrict and tax all human activity all over the world.

Copenhagen is clearly concerned with creating the embyro of a global government for precisely this purpose.

Anyone who uses the IPCC to claim a scientific point automatically loses the argument.

There is NO scientific consensus on the causes or the extent of climate change,

Scientific groups who confirm anthropogenic global warming

            Joint science academies’ statements
Since 2001, 32 national science academies have come together to issue joint declarations confirming anthropogenic global warming, and urging the nations of the world to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases. The signatories of these statements have been the national science academies of Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Cameroon, Canada, the Caribbean, China, France, Ghana, Germany, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, India, Japan, Kenya, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, New Zealand, Russia, Senegal, South Africa, Sudan, Sweden, Tanzania, Uganda, United Kingdom, United States, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

2001-Following the publication of the IPCC Third Assessment Report, sixteen national science academies issued a joint statement explicitly acknowledging the IPCC position as representing the scientific consensus on climate change science. The sixteen science academies that issued the statement were those of Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, the Caribbean, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Malaysia, New Zealand, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.

2005-The national science academies of the G8 nations, plus Brazil, China and India, three of the largest emitters of greenhouse gases in the developing world, signed a statement on the global response to climate change. The statement stresses that the scientific understanding of climate change is now sufficiently clear to justify nations taking prompt action, and explicitly endorsed the IPCC consensus. The eleven signatories were the science academies of Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
2007-In preparation for the 33rd G8 summit, the national science academies of the G8+5 nations issued a declaration referencing the position of the 2005 joint science academies’ statement, and acknowledging the confirmation of their previous conclusion by recent research. Following the IPCC Fourth Assessment Report, the declaration states, “It is unequivocal that the climate is changing, and it is very likely that this is predominantly caused by the increasing human interference with the atmosphere. These changes will transform the environmental conditions on Earth unless counter-measures are taken.” The thirteen signatories were the national science academies of Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, India, Japan, Mexico, Russia, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
2008-In preparation for the 34th G8 summit, the national science academies of the G8+5 nations issued a declaration reiterating the position of the 2005 joint science academies’ statement, and reaffirming “that climate change is happening and that anthropogenic warming is influencing many physical and biological systems.” Among other actions, the declaration urges all nations to “(t)ake appropriate economic and policy measures to accelerate transition to a low carbon society and to encourage and effect changes in individual and national behaviour.” The thirteen signatories were the same national science academies that issued the 2007 joint statement.
2009-In advance of the UNFCCC negotiations to be held in Copenhagen in December 2009, the national science academies of the G8+5 nations issued a joint statement declaring, “Climate change and sustainable energy supply are crucial challenges for the future of humanity. It is essential that world leaders agree on the emission reductions needed to combat negative consequences of anthropogenic climate change”. The statement references the IPCC’s Fourth Assessment of 2007, and asserts that “climate change is happening even faster than previously estimated; global CO2 emissions since 2000 have been higher than even the highest predictions, Arctic sea ice has been melting at rates much faster than predicted, and the rise in the sea level has become more rapid.” The thirteen signatories were the same national science academies that issued the 2007 and 2008 joint statements.

          • Mr. Fisher. Its not just computer models.

Oh, they have crystal balls too?

            It is *just* computer models.

They have data relating to carbon levels in the distant past, they have data relating to climatic condictions in the past – they do not know exactly how those two are connected because they do not know everything about those past conditions. They also do not know what they do not know.

Looking at the distant past suggests a correlation – it does not indicate which was causation’s arrow points, or indeed if there is an arrow.

Looking at the more recent past does not suggest a direct causal correlation between MM carbon and global temperatures – unless you accept the hockey stick and pretty much no one does now. Cherry picked and secret data – this is not science. is it?

If you *stretch* recent data, and extrapolate, and feed it into models then you can get MMGW. You *can*. But only in the models. And as we all know, the models have not accurately predicted recent temperatures.

What we are missing – and what firmly removes this from a couple of thousand years of developing scientific method – is a control. Because we don’t have a control, we cannot firmly establish causation. The only place we can do this is…. in the models.

BTW, the zillions of scientists who put their names to MMGW – so what?

They’re wrong. I’m right. As time will tell. There are dozens of reasons why scientists might flock to a dodgy theory – it’s not new. Because of the lack of full documentation of their data and computer code, we have not been able to reproduce their research. We did, however, successfully recapture similar results to those of MM.[Steve McIntyre and Ross McKitrick (M&M)] This recreation supports the critique of the MBH98 methods, as the offset of the mean value creates an artificially large deviation from the desired mean value of zero.’
Mann continues to refuse disclosure of all his codes!

          • Mr Ned says:

Manns hockey stick was based on flawed statistical analysis of ice cores. The other Hockey stick was based on Briffa et al’s use of 12 tree-ring proxies that produced a false record of temperature in the region that they were taken from. A record that did not match the surface station or satellite records.

As for the radiative forcing. look up Dr. Richard Lindzen of MIT.

I have read a rather good, but incomplete critique of Lindzen. But this goes to prove what I have been saying. Whenever you do take the care to get into climate research, you soon discover that there is NO scientific consensus.

Unless consensus looks like scientists arguing like cat and dog in staunch defence of contradictory conclusions!

I thought consensus looked like people agreeing with each other, but there is precious little of that when one considers the solar effect, or how clouds are formed, or how ocean currents contain and distribute heat or how much sea-levels will rise…

When you get into the detail of how the climate actually works, and what that means for the future, consensus breaks down rather rapidly, and if scientists cannot agree on how much influence the sun has on our climate, or on how increasing CO2 effects cloud formation, then you are NOT going to get consensus on climate change.

When you throw various Pacific oscillations into the mix and what effects that the lag in time of the release of heat from the oceans into the atmosphere, and the thousands of other cyclical climate effects, then we get even more confusion and less consensus still.

Let’s look at the Antarctic. Only ONE paper suggests that this continent has warmed recently. (and look at how much media coverage that got!) Then that had to be based on ONE possible group of surface stations being analysed by the invention of a new statistical analysis technique to produce that result! Any other series of statistical techniques, or combination of surface stations produced a flat, or cooling result. (and look at how little coverage the sceptics received despite dozens of articles being written)

Who is in the consensus view now? Certainly NOT Steig et al (with a cameo appearance by stat-stickster Michael Mann)

Claiming that alarmist scientists that agree with each other is scientific consensus of the overwhelming majority, is just NOT TRUE.

No more than claiming that the most devout of Catholics agreeing that Jesus is the Lord our God manifest in human form is proof of overwhelming human belief in Jesus being literally God himself.

From my neutral research over the past 5 years, I see NO consensus, but I do see lots of healthy scientific debate, a lot of excellent fact finding and empirical research into the mechanisms of how the climate actually works and more and more signs that the ALARMIST end of the spectrum are being proved wrong. The most common view is that the earth has warmed over the last 160 years. Some of this may be due to CO2, but we are still unclear as to how much and that there is NO sign that we are facing a catastrophe because of CO2.

There are MAJOR problems with localised and regionalised pollution and environmental vandalism on a biblical scale. What infuriates me is that this false and misleading obsession with CO2 is distracting and getting in the way of solving the very real, very serious problem of deforestation. Much of which is at the behest at the same climate alarmists due to their desire to grow bio-fuel. Our nearest cousin, the Urang-utan is on the verge of extinction because of climate alarmism and THAT is disgusting.

We create a vicious and utterly false poster campaign to save the rapidly breeding polar bear (an animal I would NOT want to meet in nature unless I had a very powerful gun) and let the amazing Urang-utan die out completely. It is SICK!

            Observations:

The atmosphere does not have a temperature.
The world has grown cooler since 1998.
The climate is constantly changing, in a complex, non-linear way.
We have no adequate model for natural climate change.
Climate data from before 1850 rely on proxy information that is impossible to interpret precisely.
No current climate models deal with water vapour in even a faintly adequate way.
Computer models of climate more than a short time in the future are worthless because of extreme sensitivity to initial conditions and complex non-linearity causing massive feedback effects.
The atmosphere is already very nearly opaque to infra-red radiation at the relevant wavelengths.
Urbanization means that past data from surface weather stations cannot be compared with modern data in a rigorous way, without extensive fudging.
Most warmists make their living out of the AGW theory. Most sceptics are unpaid.
Much of the data supporting AGW is carefully selected from a larger sample – for instance, tree-ring data.
It is impossible to extract information about past temperatures from tree-ring data, because so many other factors affect tree growth.
The ‘argument from authority’ (‘all these important people believe something, so you must’) is not admissible in science.
The predictions of the AGW theory have not come true.
There are no facts in science – only observations and deductions.
If it’s science, it isn’t settled. If it’s settled, it isn’t science.

It began with “acid rain”, went on to the ozone hole, Chernobyl didn’t help….Three Mile Island neither, then via cometary threats we’ve finally been steered to ‘global warming’. We should be vigilant about ‘disclosure’ too – ya know, “we’ve been in contact with aliens since Roswell” etc

That is what this climate alarmism is all about. Global depopulation.

But, 1800 Cunliffe-Arsely, I shall not do your research for you, look them up for yourself. While you are at it, look at some of the 450 peer-reviewed climate papers I posted above.

It is well known now that the tree-ring proxies produce a false and misleading temperature record and that the hockey stick Briffa produced was dependent on only 12 trees, whereas a more representative use of trees from the region produced a temperature record that, not only, concurred with the thermometer and satellite records for the same dates, but produced a record that does NOT show a hockey-stick.

These alarmists have cherry-picked and falsified data to remove the earlier Roman and medieval warm periods, and therefore give false and misleading weight to the recent warming from the mini-ice-age.

There is NO reputable, indisputable, measurable, (and therefore scientific) empirical evidence to support the hypothesis of an impending man-made global warming catastrophe. NONE!

How can you support “so-called” scientists that rely on keeping their raw data secret? That in itself is an abuse of science.

There is NO consensus on the causes and extent of Climate change.

            a) Peer reviewed doesn’t mean its true.
            b) some of those journals are low impact/low quality.
            c) The ones that are valid are pointing to details, and improving the science. Great. but one swallow doesn’t make it a summer, unless its convenient to anti-AGW.

          • Mr Ned says:

Cunliffe, thanks for raising Bellamy. Just proves that you need to rely on straw-men to support your argument. I had no intention of raising Bellamy.

Just the fact that there is NO consensus across climate science as to the causes and extent of climate change.

After all, climate change is natural. In fact change is all the climate does! If not, then I would not be writing this from here as where I am sitting was buried under half a mile of ice only 14,000 years ago. That is a blink of an eye in geological terms, and we know that climate does change very abruptly and very quickly at times. Often by as much as 6 degrees or more in a century. This is entirely natural, unless you are suggesting that cave men drove SUVs?

What is not known for certain is what causes the most rapid of climate changes. This is where the alarmists and the sceptics disagree and where consensus is lost.

Or are you drawing on the old climate alarmist mantra of “if they disagree with the alarmist argument then they are not a proper climate scientist”. But that fuckwit Gore can claim that the earth’s mantle is millions of degrees centigrade and he gets adulation?

The fact is the earth has cooled, AND warmed. it just depends on when you measure from and to. Alarmists ONLY allow measurements from a cooler start point to a warmer end-point to be considered a valid measurement. That is NOT science.

Alarmist science is the only science that is entirely conclusion led, and allows ANYONE to be considered a valid and reputable scientists based solely on the side of the argument that their conclusion supports, regardless of academic background and where raw data is not required to support conclusions and where hiding data is acceptable.

Alarmist science is not science at all.

          • Mr Ned says:

            Additionally …

““not do your research” is actually standard crap from people who believe in all sorts of bollocks. From moon fraud to homeopathy.”

Who suggested moon fraud or homeopathy? Again you raise specious straw men arguments.

On and for the record, I do NOT believe in the man-never-went-to-the-moon conspiracies as I do know personally several of the engineers and scientists who put men on the moon. IT HAPPENED!

Homeopathy. This only works in exactly the same way that placebos work. No magic or science required.

Get back to the science. UNLIKE the alarmists.

As for “do your research” stems from my spending 5 years researching this and reading many journals and publications supportive of BOTH sides. I started out from an alarmist viewpoint, but the evidence as I see it points the other way. I shall NOT do your research for you. it is all out there available. But what you will find is that the “sceptical” side is more open with the raw data than the “alarmist” side as they have less to hide.

            Your other points:
“a) Peer reviewed doesn’t mean its true.” I Agree, but tell that to the alarmists whose view is ” Peer reviewed doesn’t mean its true unless the publication refers to the support for an AGW conclusion”

“b) some of those journals are low impact/low quality.” As are the majority of the AGW alarmists journals. Hiding raw data, withholding raw data, using specious and flawed use of statistics etc.

“c) The ones that are valid are pointing to details, and improving the science. Great. but one swallow doesn’t make it a summer, unless its convenient to anti-AGW.” I could say the same for alarmism articles such as Steig et al.

Where is the consensus? You have to lie and ignore a lot of good science, (and some piss poor science to, to be fair) And solely include some good and a lot of piss poor science to find consensus.

I would argue that there is no Consensus and that the only REAL model of the climate we have is NOT behaving as the alarmists have been predicting. It throws up an abundance of contradictory evidence which both sides leap upon. The rapid Arctic melt in the late summer of 2007 was leapt upon as proof of AGW, when in reality it was proof of very rare northern currents and the ice extent has been returning to a more normal level since, with the minimum extent increasing by over 10% per year as witnessed by the people who became trapped in the ice on an ice-breaker on a climate change tour.

The ice reducing on Mount Kilimanjaro is another area that alarmists jump on. But this is down to deforestation reducing the moisture in the air in that region leading to less precipitation leading to ice that evaporates not being replaced by fresh snow. The ice there cannot melt, unless you know of a mechanism by which ice can melt at a temperature below freezing? After all, the temperature on Kilamanjaro has NOT increased, but there is a lot less forestation to trap and produce the moisture to produce rain and snow around the base of that mountain due to deforestation and farming.

There are hundreds of other examples I could cite, but space is limited.

Again I state there is no consensus.

But Blofeld sought to attack the world order, to challenge it from some remote hideaway – not to co-opt it, and transform it from the inside as Strong does.

Blofeld would threaten a meeting of the UN; Strong would chair the meeting and script its agenda. Strangely, Strong once indulged his inner Blofeld, musing to a stunned reporter about a violent plot to take over the world through one of his many super-organizations.

Isn’t it more than obvious to anyone with half a brain that all the noises Gordon Brown is now making about a “timetable for withdrawal for Afghanistan” is just a great big trap he is setting for the Tories to enable the Labour Party to label them as the “war party” when they take power next year?

Within a few weeks of Cameron becoming PM the Labour Party and the trade unions will be organising huge anti-war marches through Whitehall protesting against “Tory policies” in Afghanistan.

So not only is Brown employing a scorched earth policy on the economy in order to try to blame the consequences on a Tory government, he is also using British troops as pawns in his sick games.

That result being the destruction of the collection of gangsters and halfwits who have abused our community as little more than a piece of personal money-making apparatus throughout the post-war years.

You want functioning democracy? An objective and impartial judicial system? meaningful accountability amongst the senior civil service? A non-politicised prosecution system?

    That’s what I’m working towards.

The destruction of Jersey’s corrupt and dangerous oligarchy.

Sure, it’s a big task; after all, a stagnant ruling claque that’s been in power for over 800 years won’t be easy to remove.

But in the final analysis, there can be no more important task for a Jersey politician to be working on.

The oligarchy have placed themselves in a position in which even the “Friends at Court at Whitehall” – who love our rotten oligarchy, for mystifying reasons – are going to struggle propping-up the collection of crooks, spivs, child abusers, morons, serial rapists, blackmailers and assorted grifters who form our ruling elite.

But the FACAWs will not simply do the decent thing.

They love their Jersey shysters – so will have to be dragged every single inch of the way towards finally acting lawfully – and clearing out the cess-pit that is power in Jersey.

But like I said – not an easy task.

    Stuart

Is this site ever going to come up with some more inside stuff? I mean, what’s this got to do with parliamentary plots, rumours and conspiracy, you’re pulling stuff out of your ass trying to forge links between a story on a kids channel in the US that nobody in the UK saw, and, somehow, magically, linking it to UK female-political twitterers that nobody but you reads.

Anybody would think that you’re not even around Westminster anymore, but simply trawling freerepublic, drudge report, and so on, in search of anything at all with a tenuous connection to your agenda. And typifying the left as a mob and so on is a massive sin of omission, if you want to talk about the left in the US, you have to include the fact of what the right gets up to, and that one of the prize females, yes, they’re not always victims, is Michelle Malkin who has variously unleashed her readers on families, distributing address details, co-ordinating hate campaigns and so on.

You can be an ideologue, and think one side is morally superior somehow to the other, but the reality doesn’t back it up.

Shame, this site was dynamite for a while.

Murdoch discovered long ago that if you wanted to appeal to idiots then get an idiot as editor. The idiot knows what idiots want.

It don’t work the same with POTUS. You just can’t elect an idiot and hope they’ll do what you want.

Contrary to popular opinion, even Dubbya wasn’t an idiot. A lazy fucker who left everything to Cheney, yes, but not the idiot he pretended.

The reason the neocons went so easily over to Obamerama and were touting him above McCain is because McCain as they always knew had his own ideas about things, and choosing Palin was one of them.

There would have been even more such brilliant and idiosyncratic ideas, had he been elected.
