Voucher Snatcher

childcare_vouchers_picA lot of working parents find the tax relief afforded by childcare vouchers something that makes it worthwhile working. Gordon calculates that too many middle class people benefit – as if there was something wrong with that. The money saved will supposedly be diverted to provide childcare on a means-tested basis. He really hates the middle classes…

75,000 people have signed the petition on the Downing Street website urging the government not to end the vouchers, surpassing as the largest petition on the website the petition calling on Gordon to resign.  43 Labour MPs, including nine ex-ministers, have opposed the plan. Gordon just seems determined to punish the hard-working middle classes, who actually pay for everything, even more. This has got to be the least popular childcare policy change by a government since King Herod…

I’ve heard about an interesting scenario — hungish parliament in Labour’s favour due to postal vote rigging etc.

AAA rating gone, money supply dries up, enter the IMF who tell Labour to do what the Tories would have had to have done. Entire public sector on strike (including doctors and nurses — they are mostly in it for the money not medical ethics nowadays) public disorder on a national scale, maybe even food riots looting supermarkets… mass unemployment does this to people. Gordon Brown begins to regret his 2-year scorched earth policy as his dimly realizes he’s burnt his boats.

20011/12 Another GE is called — Conservatives back in with landslide with a mandate to do all the unpleasant things which need to be done, Labour annihilated down to 30 MPs.

As much as the BBC are spinning the result for New Labour as a great success, it is a completely meaningless result.

The people SO thick that despite Nwe Labour being in power up there for what, 70 years now, they are getting poorer and poorer under Labour / New Labour. It shows you the education up there, or rather complete lack of education, has produced generations of idiots – just able enough to put an X next to New Labour, and that’s it.

Scandal, outrage, but still they win

EVERYBODY who believes in democracy has a duty to accept last night’s result
      in Glasgow North East.

You have to believe that the people of Glasgow North East cast their votes
after looking at all the issues.

You have to believe that, after long consideration of all the options, they
used the gift of their vote with care and they chose Labour.

In spite of the war in Afghanistan, in spite of the almost daily parade of
flag-draped coffins, in spite of the fact that our brave soldiers are forced
to buy their own boots while MoD fat cats scoop up cash bonuses for their
hard work, the people of Glasgow North East chose Labour.

In spite of the worst unemployment figures since Tony Blair was elected, in
spite of the worst youth unemployment EVER, the people of Glasgow North East
      chose Labour.

In spite of the fact that Glasgow North East has the seventh highest number of
people on benefits in the entire UK, they chose Labour. In spite of the fact
that the election was caused by the most shattering scandal in the history
      of Westminster, they chose Labour.

In spite of the fact that Michael Martin was forced out of office as Speaker –
the first time that’s happened in more than 200 years – they chose Labour.

In spite of the fact that Mr Martin spent £1.7million of their money on doing
up his London residence, they chose Labour.

In spite of the £1,400 he claimed for chauffeur-driven cars to take him round
Glasgow North East, they chose Labour.

In spite of the £95,000 he claimed for his Glasgow home in the past seven
years, in spite of the seat in the Lords he was given, in spite of the £350
he can claim – tax free – every day he turns up there, they chose Labour.

So, really, there’s only one question left.
What would the Labour Party have to do to people in Springburn to make them
      stop voting Labour?

When childcare vouchers were discussed with the risible John McFall on BBC this week, it emerged that stopping higher earners getting vouchers would enable childcare for the unemployed. It seems therefore that Labour want kids to go into day-care even if they have parents who aren’t out at work.

Guys, just throwing this out there.

You know why our taxes are so high?

Benefits were supposed to be for the poor, not those on reasonable wages. There was a prog on Newsnight a couple of months ago where a bloke went onto a fake dragons den and tried something like this with the panel. He said his wife thought it was an awfull idea becuase she wouldn’t be able to buy posh wine for house guests. They were quite well off, He thought taxes shouldn’t be paying for her friends booze.

He was voted out by the panel. I happen to agree with him. Money to people who need it, not chavs, not wastrels not people with adequate income (they’re not included in the other groups), but people who actually NEED it.

Get rid of the waste this freaking government has introduced and maybe, just maybe we can eventually get rid of some of their freaking taxes. (Yes I’m including our 1.2 Trillion debt in that)

Simplify the system, We’ll all be better off.

I, for one, have no problem with limited welfare. Never have. But the spread is pernicious. It eats you away.

These ‘middle class’ workers. Why not use the tax system to ensure that one parent can stay at home to look after the sprog/s? Transfer of tax allowances, child tax allowances meaning that the sole breadwinner keeps more of the money he or she earns.

But we couldn’t have that, could we. It means you’re not dependent, not captured by the State.

If they lost here then they may as well pack up now but the fact is Scotland will not decide the next General Election. It will be won or lost in England and Wales where the story is a lot different. It’s unlikely that Labour will hold on to many of the Midland marginals or some oparts of the N. West. And Wales is also likely to see some surprises for Labour too.

The Tories will never make significant gains in Scotland and certainly not in these sort of areas. The main worry for Labour there is the a resurgent SNP and the rising tide of BeeNpee votes.

And when you get clattered by the inevitable entire New Zealand pack of public sector strikes, record unemployment, rising crime, record national debt and record budget deficit Gordon Brown and the remaining few safe seat Labour MPs and opportunistic imbeciles like Polly Toynbee will be shrieking from the sidelines about how it’s all the Tories fault.

I’m wondering if the best revenge we could have on Brown would be to vote the fucker back in just so that those imbeciles in Glasgow could really see who was responsible for the ongoing clusterfuck. The trouble iwth that is that Brown would misinterprete it as a vote for him to carry on with his imbecile policies. Five years from now half the population would be living in favalhas and searching through rubbish dumps for vegetable peelings.

Brown is delighted to be talking about Afghanistan. Because while we’re talking about Afghanistan, bad enough as it is, when it kicked off back in 2001 practically the entire HoP was behind it for (at the time) quite obvious reasons.

All the time Brown is defending a war which will inevitably have casualties and so he can hardly be held personally responsible for every single incident then he’s off the hook of explaining his (in)action over the big story. The one thing he did have complete control over for the past 12 years.

      It’s the economy stupid.

Brown would rather talk about dead soldiers, dead babies, biscuits, X Factor, anything at all than talk about the thing he so spectacularly fucked up over the past 12 years. The entire UK economy.

Apparently the French have just reported their second consecutive quarter of growth. Meanwhile we just had our sixth consecutive quarter of contraction. An all-time UK record. Our national debt is higher than at any time in our history and our budget deficit is the highest in UK history.

Talking about a war that at the time had popular support is a welcome distraction for Brown.

In order to qualify to accept these vouchers Day Care centres have to fill in heaps of tick sheets ‘proving’ your child has been exposed to various ‘experiences’. I remember one of the girls at the place my daughter attended showing me my daughters little blue book of ticks.

It was all shit like ‘Understand different cultures’ then a little box (ticked) with Observed (date) and another one next to it (ticked) Reobserved.

Fucking ludicrous. The kid was about three years of age. She couldn’t spell her own name but she’s allegedly been observed (tick) and reobserved (tick) understanding different cultures.

What a load of shit. And when you try and find a nursery that doesn’t take these vouchers just so that the staff aren’t wasting their time filling in these fucking stupid forms to ‘save’ you 80p an hour you can’t. TONY BLAIR TO GIVE EVIDENCE TO IRAQ WAR INQUIRY EARLY IN 2010

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/politics/6556122/Tony-Blair-to-give-evidence-to-Iraq-War-inquiry-early-in-2010.html

The former prime minister will be among a series of senior Labour figures to be publicly grilled just months ahead of the general election expected next spring.

Sir John Chilcot, who is chairing the probe, indicated that Mr Blair and other Government ministers would be asked to appear before his committee early in the new year.

Some may be called to give evidence again, in more detailed sessions, but they will not take place until after the election, which must be held in June at the latest.

The report will not be published until the end of 2010, or even 2011.

The parents of soldiers killed in Iraq have already warned that they intend to confront the ex-PM at the hearings.

In a statement, Sir John said the first five weeks of public evidence sessions, which will begin on November 24, would hear from senior officials and military officers. ”We will ask them to explain the main decisions and tasks, and their involvement,” he said. ”That will give us a clear understanding of how policy developed and was implemented, and what consideration was given to alternative approaches.”

Like all true socialists Brown hates the industrious middle classes.

It is easy to bring out feelings of jealousy amongst those that have little against those that have accumulated much. We’ve already seen a bit of that going on in the United States during their last election.

I cannot wait for Brown and his band of nodding donkeys to get booted out permanently.

A youthful leftist acquaintance of mine once blamed people like Rothschild in France, Bill Gates, The Rockefellers, etc as being all immensely stupid, denouncing the remainder of humanity as even more stupid. I personally blame our education system, our liberal political elites and the BBC for spreading this kind of poison.

If we allow socialist government propaganda to continue as it has done, then the future world economic crisis will further decrease the standard of living throughout the globe for all humans. Look what has already happened in many South American countries: Venezuela, Ecuador, Argentina, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and almost Honduras

I am very concerned with whats going on right now: we must not allow Brown’s brand of tribalism to pit ourselves against each other. Under socialism, the state is by definition always right and can never be wrong. This means that when something does go wrong, a scapegoat must be created, and what softer target than the middle classes.

Meanwhile, (and slightly O/T) the scorched-earth policy continues apace with the renationalisation of the East Coast mainline.

Even the RMT “questioned why the new publicly owned company, which was being created at massive cost to the taxpayer and with huge upheaval for staff and passengers, was only seen as a short term measure…despite the failures of National Express and the demise of its predecessor, GNER.”

Yet another embedded attack point for the ZaNu remanent after the GE.

There was likely to have been a shed load of “ambiguous” ballot papers which the returning officer discusses with the candidates.

Crosses instead of ticks, crosses straddling two boxes, that sort of thing.

These can be re-examined if the count is close, and re-interpreted according to the majority wish of the candidates and returning officer.

The amazing thing about gordon axing the voucher scheme is his total ineptitude and inability to even read his own MP’s. At least 50 , including 9 ex ministers, ae threatening to vote down his next budget unless he does a U turn on this. He has self inflicted another embarrassment on himself with this announcement.

And this morning he announces he is sending bob aintbustinagut to NATO countries to demand that they contribute 5000 more troops to Afghanistan. What chance success? Very little, so that will be another failed initiative for gordon.

Nobody reads their website apart from people already either Labour activists or committed Labour voters(a reducing number in both categories). Labour is fast losing the argument with the voters that will decide the election – “the middle class floating voters in the shires and heartlands of England who voted for Blair in the last 3 elections and feel not warmth for Brown and whom now feel a natural affinity to Cameron(if not some of the “wingnuts” in his party – but they will be careful sanitised until post election). The election will be not about people voting FOR the Conservatives but rather AGAINST Labour who have built up too many “enemies” in society by their policies and indifference to the middle classes over the past 12 years regarding them merely as “cash cows” for their client state

If an economist were to sit down and strip the borrowed money out of the system I imagine it would show that the UK was in recession back in the summer of 2002 and stayed negative ever since.Normally socialist arseholes started borrowing the country into insanity on day one in office but brown decided he could pump the economy by letting useful idiots do the borrowing for him(the general public). This was always going to end in tears as the taxman was taking a cut every time borrowed money was spent and used on unproductive diversity outreach workers in the utopian paradise.the only way to stop the pool shrinking was for banks to keep lending until they were as skint as the clowns doing the borrowing, the end came eventually and now mr darling has to borrow to meet all the salary commitments taken on in a false boom.

But Brown, Cameron and Clegg seem about as soft and compliant as you can get in that area.

Obviously, soft and compliant are sovereign virtues in some ways. After all, they’re one of the best ways to gain admittance to Stroke Bottom. But surely when it comes to handing the country over to a small group of minor
civil servants in a foreign country, someone ought to make a stand. I’m actually quite disgusted with Cameron. Thought he had more testicular fortitude.

I see those Labour people won a seat in Glasgow. But they’re mostly HKLPs there, so it doesn’t count in my book.
