Quote of the Day

Thomas Jefferson said in his 1801 inaugural speech

“With all [our] blessings, what more is necessary to make us a happy and a prosperous people? Still one thing more, fellow citizens – a wise and frugal Government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government, and this is necessary to close the circle of our felicities.”

I was once asked by an infamous political personage if I had ever fuched a politician – his/her kai tai secretary was in the back of the cab.
“Lots,” replied me. “With a shot gun, that really fuchs ‘em.”
      Oh happy days…

Anyone else notice Brown didn’t listen to the translations of Sarkozy’s speech and Merkel’s speech on his earpiece last night in Berlin? Is Brown a polyglot? And why was Brown accompanied by his fat bint Sarah when no other leader had their spouses? Was she there as his nurse? She listened to the translations but the fat twat Brown couldn’t be arsed. Once this gets out to the wider German and French knowledge Brown and United Kingdom will be despised even more. UK’s fucked.

Jefferson, Smerfferson! What do these long-dead, freedom-loving, self-respecting, self-made, wealth-creating, self-supporting, white men know anyway?!

You want to know the result of laissez-faire classical liberalism of which Jefferson so eloquently speaks? Poorhouses and unspeakable poverty.

Things are better now. Catch up.

There have been poor people since the first monolith landed in Africa at the Dawn of Man… I don’t see what Jefferson has to do with this.

And the improvements were all due to free trade and capitalism. Such were the incredible improvements made by the followers laissez-faire that sixty years of pityless socialism still haven’t quite wiped them out. For really unspeakable poverty, one needs socialism.

More or less what Thomas Paine said in his pamphlet ‘Common Sense’ where he describes government as a necessary evil. So it makes sense to keep that evil to a minimum. This was shown where those two women who looked after each others children were breaking child care laws! Laws and government have come so numerous, sluggish and beaurocratic meaning we’re not far off having tailor made laws based upon the individual!
