Quote of the Day

Nick Cohen bemoans that…

“The expenses scandal has emasculated public life. Despised and humiliated politicians feel that they cannot fight any tough cause or vested interest. A prominent Conservative told me that … as soon as he opens his mouth, the airwaves will fill with raging voters shouting…”

A PM that fails to write a letter of condolence correctly, was to “stupid” to see the economic tsunami, sold the nations gold reserves at rock bottom prices and presides over a party and Parliament of petty thieves and whingers…… You couldn’t make or up but with Labour in control the twilight zone is never far away.

MP’s the answer is to be found in two simple choices:

    1. Don’t thieve.
    2. Do you jobs properly.
    3. You won’t have a tarnished reputation.
    Meaning:
    1. You won’t be emasculated and can fight tough causes.

    Or

    1. Thieve.
    2. Hide your thieving.
    3. Fight like crazy to stop your thieving being uncovered.
    4. Say your thieving was allowed by the rules.
    5. Don’t apologise for your thieving.

    Then

    1. Wonder why nobody trusts you to do your job.

Frankly the reason why MPs can’t be trusted is not only because they are thieves but because they don’t recognise that being a thief makes people not trust you to run their country.
