Wonk Watch : IPPR Gives Staff P45s for Christmas

Guido understands that IPPR, the think-tank that did most of the thinking for New Labour in the beginning, has given half-a-dozen staff redundancy notices terminating their contracts on Christmas Eve.  Guido pointed out that their 21st anniversary party held in June had the feel of a wake about it.  As New Labour dies the accoutrements go with it… ippr

In an attempt to flesh out the story* Guido has been calling the IPPR press office all morning trying to get confirmation.  Unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be anyone there to take the call…

*OK, Guido will admit, he was  just trying to find out if the tired and emotional PR hackette who gave him flack at the IPPR party had been sacked.

We should feel no pity for such scum. They are/were part of the onslaught of lies and misinformation that provided sympathetic pro-government covering fire in all the news outlets.

Their intellectual bank**pcy and utter incompetence is what has allowed this equally b**nK*upt and incompetent government to maintain their idiotic grip on power for so long.

P45s? Too good for the fuckers.

They should sack the fu–ing lot. They are responsible for smashing the economy. Following the divisive politics of the US that dragged us into this mess with their expensive War, suppose they didn’t expect the Afghans and the Iraq’s to have as much fight in them. Bad move when you murder peoples family they have a right to get the hump. I suppose Tony Bliars think tank thought it would be good idea to invite as many Muslims into the country as they could then procede to invade their home countries and kill their relations. What a great Strategy for making trouble.

          Alfred of Wessex says:

Public Servant is obviously too young, and therefore too poorly educated to have read Hilaire Beloc’s poem Matilda, who told such dreadful lies….

From 2000 until 2007 New Labour instigated a deliberate policy of uncontrolled third-world immigration to irreversibly alter the nature of England’s population, and shut down debate by denouncing anyone who did not buy into their Big Lie as a “racist”.

To ensure there could be no effective opposition, New Labour politicised all public bodies and all individual public servants through the Race Relations Amendment Act 2000, by making them collectively and individually responsible for “promoting good race relations” [Newspeak for the suppression and eradication of all expressions of English cultural or National identity]. Senior Civil Servants, Senior Local Government officials, ACPO and the rest all then fell over themselves to implement this policy, and have therefore been actively complicit in what is probably the greatest betrayal of a people by its ruling class in history.

Tony Blair lied to Parliament about the danger of WMDs in Iraq.

Peter Mandelson, Alistair Campbell, Derek Draper and a host of other evil men and women have spent the last 12 years controlling the news and destroying the reputations of anyone, great or small, who dared to interfere.

Truly, they, you and those like you “belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. (John 8:44)”

Lying is what New Labour and every organisation associated with it does. Indeed, it can fairly be said that lying is an essential element of their DNA.

They and you, “Public Servant”, have been guilty of lies so numerous and betrayals so egregious that even if you might, for once, be telling the truth, the British public no longer believe a single word you say.

Gaaah! I read this earlier and thought it was a joke; Gordon *really congratulated* Karzi on successfully rigging the election! I’m astonished. The thing has been called off ‘cus the other guy has been bribed into complying – and even then he says he only did it cus he knew the thing was so bent he couldn’t win – and this, to Gordon, is a victory worthy of his applause.

          • Comedian says:

I do not hit women by the way, before some labour drone tries to attack me.

I was just highlighting the demographics and a few of the inconsistencies, I have noticed with hypocritical western femnazis.

They soon shut or up or run a mile from getting sassy and confrontational when a foreign male is thrown into the mix or they are not on home turf.

Have you ever seen Mrs Dromey and her guardian feminist friends ever tour the middle east to fight for womens rights?

Like I said, population demographics will bring it to the wests doorstep and feminism i.e. selective cowardice will cease to exist in a few generations.

            nuff said.

          • Little Rose says:

The human race would cease to exist if all men were as horrible as you.

          • Jim Beam says:

To Comedian. You are certainly right about feminists being cowards when it comes to not being hit by men. But there is much more to it than that. Feminazis like Harridan Harperson has sent MEN to their deaths to alledgedly improve women’s rights in Afghanistan while simultaneously and systematically reducing the rights of men in the U.K. through positive discrimination and playing the gender card whenever women have to face up to their responsibilities.
As for feminism ceasing to exist in a couple of generations that will only happen when women realise that men will continue to go on marriage strike until women stop behaving like spoilt feminazi bitches with an entitlement complex. Real men are avoiding feminists like the plague and are instead going abroad to find proper ladies who believe in the importance of marriage and family. Sorry it is such a long post but I really wanted to add to your original comments.

Perhaps they realise that the game is up and that XanuLab are finished.

However, has Brown written out his special super sized cheque for the ‘inadvertedly’ over claimed £13K yet?

As for his special pleading about ordinary people not becoming MPs if the puritans clear out the corrupt, one wonders how many of XanuLabour’s ministers are remotely similar to ordinary people he has in mind. Darling, Hoon, Scotland are all troughing lawyers, and since when have Bryant, Smith, Burnham Balls and Cooper been thought of as ordinary people? Given that Brown and Co have helped reduce social mobility one wonders how ordinary people would get into politics in the first place.

I think you’ll find that is “wanked”. “Wonk” is the conditional future perfect – eg “will have wanked”, certain conditions having been met. So, for instance: “If my mum gets her Freeman’s catalogue with the underwear supplement, I wonk”

Wilshire goes on to claim that democracy is under threat. Note the tacit assumption that MP’s (no less!) are the guardians of democracy. It is laughable.

MP’s and their like are the obstacles to democracy. It is they who wilfully and knowingly obstruct attempts to bring democracy to this country. The British need to realise that and quickly.

The MP’s and the parties should have all been given an urgent route to closure ie sent back to their constituencies (and party managers) to argue their cases in the open and a completely new and actually independent management and remuneration regime installed prior to their return (after a GE obviously). Instead we have a horrible rolling car crash that is taking out those relatively innocent (let alone the actually innocent) and sparing some (if not many) of the truly and obscenely guilty.

Fairness: Just ask the New Labour spin doctors like Dugher, Woodcock, Bundred, Ellam and Lewis if what they do could be described as fair. Is poor people getting poorer and increasing unemployment (under every Labour government there ever was) fair?

Democracy: An unelected PM who supports an unelacted President of Europe and is facitating an unelected Lord to succeed him. Labour democracy means Jack Straw encouraging postal votes that a judge said in 2005 is wide open to fraud. New Labour supports the Karzai model of democracy – rig the vote, disable the opposition and assume power, just like Mugabe and Ahmadinejad.

Sustainability: Spending more than the country earns didn’t figure in their forecasts

The IPPR chumps will find out that a FAIR and DEMOCRATIC election will show them how SUSTAINABLE their flawed ideaology was.

Panther’s Claw was launched around midnight on June 19, 2009 with the stated aim of securing control of various canal and river crossings and establishing a lasting ISAF presence[9] in an area described by Lt Col Richardson as “one of the main Taliban strongholds” ahead of the 2009 Afghan presidential election.[16]

      * June 19: On the first day of the operation, one British soldier, a Major from the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards, was killed in an explosion near Lashkar Gah.

      * July 1: Two British soldiers—Lt Col Rupert Thorneloe, commanding officer of the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards and Tpr Joshua Hammond of the 2nd Royal Tank Regiment—died, and six were wounded, near Shamalan Canal, at Lashkar Gah, when an IED exploded under their BvS 10 Viking armoured vehicle.[29][30] Lt Col Thorneloe is the highest-ranking British officer to be killed in action since Lt Col ‘H’. Jones in the Falklands War and the highest-ranking to die in Afghanistan.[24][30]
      * July 4: Two more British soldiers were killed, one from 2nd Battalion, Mercian Regiment by a rocket-propelled grenade and a second from the Light Dragoons, by an IED, near Gereshk.[31]
      * July 5: A member of the 1st Battalion Welsh Guards was killed in an explosion near Lashkar Gah.[32]
      * July 7: A member of the Light Dragoons was killed in an explosion near Gereshk.[33]
      * July 9-10: The Ministry of Defence announced that eight British soldiers had died within a 24-hour period, bringing the total number of fatalities of British Forces personnel in Afghanistan since 2001 to 184. Another 30 soldiers were wounded during that 24-hour period. Three of these soldiers were killed while supporting operation Panther’s Claw.[34][35]
      * July 16: A member of 2nd Battalion, The Rifles, was killed in an explosion near Gereshk.

Plus many more wounded or seriously disabled in the operation. And given the above -what exactly was the purpose of it ?

Ah, yes – the cult of the ‘training course’.

We used to fall into two schools of thought at work; those who regarded then as a great big skive with a subsidised (but not much) lunch thrown in, and those of who dreaded the mind-numbing banality and patronising condescention of these utter wastes of time. I once had to role-play ‘how to pay a gas bill’ – something most of us felt we’d mastered some decades since. Still don’t know what it was supposed to teach us.

In fairness, some contained a grain of truth, but usually something that could have been imparted by a one-sheet-of-A4 memo, not something that required a two-day course.

(I’ll exclude some of the pure technical courses, many of which were genuinely informative and useful.)

The real winners are the “Training Consultants” who manage to extract fat fees from gullible companies for their ‘expertise’, which usually consists of wearing a sharp suit, and using sharp business jargon. Arseholes.

Entirely OT – but compare and contrast the ferociously moralising BBC language of this report on parents who scheme to get their kids into better schools –

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/education/8334503.stm

    - “liars”, “cheats”, “theft”, “fraud”, deception”, “perjury” – with the BBC language describing our dear friends in the House: breaking “rules”, not laws, flipping to minimise CGT, rather than tax evasion, overclaiming, rather than fraud, inadvertent claims, rather than theft.

I think it’s obvious who the BBC thinks are the real criminals isn’t it?

An ‘expert’ interviewed on WATO reckoned that there were about 3000 cases a year, out of about 2,000,000 children moving schools per year, so about 1.5 per thousand. Not really a massive problem, then. (I think those figures are just for England and Wales.)

That is convicted and jailed criminals dimboid – and could you confirm that you are really placing parents who want the best school (that they have *paid* for) for their kids, on a level with rapists and killers? Twatty?

here’s the thing -what’s the crime? That some parents decide to set up a fake household in order to snag a place at a decent school? Or that after spending tens of billions of our money on schools, Labour has still managed to fuck it all up again? What do these parents want? What is their evil desire?

Simply to have what they have paid for and were promised – a decent school for their kids – why hasn’t labour delivered on their promises? Simple question, why can’t all schools be good schools?

That is what is a concern for bank sell off , he is not going to maximise the goverments (our investment) and so will leave a hole even if it does get credit moving again , although the banks will not become as overleveraged again i hope .

i sort of see the stabilty arguments , but it may also mean stagnation and inflation problems as economies that we import from recover , If the argument is that a large debt cannot enable the non service economy to grow , then the over capacity in the service sector will hold it back . The ruin is not giving the other option enough realistic consideration , small state and lower taxation works, he did after all inherit a golden set of books based upon it .

By 2007, the council was deliberately marginalised by Jacqui Smith and its secretariat pushed out to an area far from influence on drug legislation.

Since the publication of the disputed cannabis and ecstasy reports, officials have been “banned from speaking to council members”. They are forced to meet officials surreptitiously in bars and restaurants around Westminster. No wonder Nutt and his colleagues are resentful; ministers had created a form of intellectual apartheid.

Empowering citizens – Yeah sure. With Nu Liebore secret inquests, mass torture, imprisonment without trial, 1000s of fascist diktats from Nu Liebore Nazis in parliament, and on top of all that, the Lord High Chancellor if the filthy low criminal scum, Jack (’subhuman retard’) Straw.

Promoting social responsibility – Yeah sure. Creating a sustainable economy – Yeah sure. A smoke and mirrors economy based on lies and fraud, with the filth in parliament setting the example of gluttonous shameless thieving. Britain does not in fact have an economy – does anybody make anything or create any wealth? Or, are we sticking with the Nu Liebore lie that a (parasitic) bond traded who pushed a few computer buttons each day and gets paid £20 million a year, is a ‘wealth creator’.

Revitalising democracy – Yeah sure. No vote on the European super state (just fascist diktats), Nu Liebore creating hundreds of 1000s of fake public sector jobs to garner votes and fix seats, Nu Liebore flooding the country with immigrants to rig inner-city elections, and Nu Liebore scum committing massive election fraud with their fake electoral roles and fake postal votes.

Their very presence at this solemn ceremony is a piss take and an insult to all those who fought for Britain, a Britain the political classes have spent the last 40 years trying to eradicate.

Better still, as you thieving politicians represent increasingly fuck all people in this country, just do us all a favour and stay the fuck away.

Have you noticed poppy inflation, where the bastards all start wearing poppies three weeks before Remembrance Day to show how fucking patriotic they are, while sending our troops out with shit equipment to protect a bunch of corrupt thieving rapists in Afghanistan?

I think that would be seen as insulting to the war dead and serving soldiers.
I’d like to see the bastards face an angry mob on another occasion though.

Does anyone know if there is any truth to the story that the Military were planning a coup in ‘79 to save us from the Callaghan and his Communist crew ?

In the great scheme of things – EVEN BLIAR AND MANDY ARE EXPENDABLE.

No doubt they believe they’ll be allowed some crumbs from the ‘top table’ when the global government is finally announced – how wrong they are and sure as eggs is eggs, sometime, somewhere, they’ll have to ‘pay’ for all the deaths and misery they’ve enabled in this current lifetime.

Just seen this on Villiers website

    ‘Advice Surgery
Theresa holds an advice surgery on the 1st Saturday of each month (except August) at her Constituency Office (at the above address), between 10.30am and 12 noon.
    No appointment necessary.’

90 minutes per month and ‘no appointment necessary’.

Sounds like a piss-take from Thick Of It.

“Charlie Whelan and Lord Ashcroft are exactly the same. One is the baron of the trade unions, and the other one is the baron of Belize. Both are bankrolling political parties, both are trying to buy seats.”
