Quote of the Day

Joe Windall, father of Royal Marine David Windall, killed in a Nimrod writes

“There has to be a change in the attitude of the authorities towards equipment. They have made promises and it is the responsibility of us, the families left behind, and the public to watch and to make sure they are kept. This is an ongoing battle for me, and it will continue until action is finally taken to make sure our servicemen and women are properly equipped.”

Some quill pusher in the MOD probably got his annual bonus on the back of saving costs.

Hope he bought something useful with it like a new TV so that when he watches the news he gets to see the coffins in HD widescreen.

Alastair Campbell Malcolm Tucker writes

“… remember your key attributes: not JFK skipping through the flowers spraying Clinton juice all over everyone. No – the glowering maniac in the boarded-up house who, if we’re lucky, people might just about believe is the only one who can remember where the bank statements are kept. That’s the core strategy.”
