      Ken Lorp says:

That’s a real shame as I was looking forward to your reporting on the court case.

What are the odds that a few Labour people put their hands in their pockets to come up with the damages amount? I suspect there are a few people who’d rather keep various issues secret and certainly not dragged up in a libel trial.

Now, will they try to put their contributions through on expenses?

    genghiz the kahn says:

It would have been interesting to see if Mcbribe had copied emails to Goron Brown and if the scunner would be forced to swear an oath in court to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth, for the first time in his life.

What a good day to bury bad news about McNulty’s expense….

      Lizzie says:

Yes McNasty would like that, he timed this very well, but he will still have to do a “Jacqui” in the Commons…..I can see it now, same stuff, something like “I am sorry, but not really sorry”, lamentable with fingers crossed behind their backs and through gritted teeth, playing the victims as usual.

    MisterE says:

Glad someone’s paying out – McNulty’s only having to repay about a quarter of the expenses he fraudulently claimed for his parents house??

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/8330930.stm

Oh yeah, he’s got to say “sorry” too.
Yep, that’ll make up for it…

    fruitcake says:

Can he afford that? What do school caretakers earn??

  13. 18
    Doc Trough says:

Heha Heehaa HeeeHeeHaHa and, with Crimbo coming up – HoHoHo.

Is that ’substantial’ by Westminster standards or as might relate to the income of a school shithouse cleaner?

    sunonmars says:

Only done, probably by Labour to stop an explosive court case with exploratory evidence being found. No way they wanted that out there.

    Thats News says:

Good. Serves him right. But the stocks would have been better!

  16. 31
    Engineer says:

Is this covered by a super-injunction, or will we see some reports and juicy details in the MSM? (Obviously not AlJaBeeba, but the Telegraph and others should surely report this?)

  17. 33
    Question Slyme says:

I wonder if she used Farter Crook??

  18. 35
    Big Bazongas says:

Has anyone anything substantial to tell us about the Dorries/McBride matter? Forget McNutter for now.

    Stronghold Barricades says:

At least he has a job so can afford the payment

    Peter Grimes says:

Is the fragrant Nadine’s payout dependent on her not seeking details of the other e-mail correspondence between the No 10 Smear plotters, or on not disclosing such other material as she/her lawyers have?

Couldn’t Nadine just take the security off her PC so that someone can hack in and find out?

Will Toilets’ employer be putting up his share – or is the fragrant Nadine’s next suit against him?

    We deserve answers!

(Just BTW – I thought that there was no case to answer. Guess it needs to be settled now so that the smears don’t come out at GE time!)

    Is Draperscum next?

  24. 56
    Porky Pies MP says:

Sorry to digress but I’ve just watched McNulty on BBC news trying to explain his mendacity, like how he justified having a sceond home only eight miles from his main home etc. He was sweating like the proverbial pig that he is and why this crook isn’t prosecuted I’ll never know!

  25. 57
    Down with Brown! says:

Great news, hopefully Mrs Osbourne will also sue the vile scum that is Damien McBride.

  26. 59
    Anonymous says:

Tonight’s paper claims she got three and half grand. Is that right?

    Hardly a fortune.

  27. 60
    Mad Naddie Troffer says:

Maybe she’ll stop troffing off the taxpayer.

    Probably not…

  28. 61
    Jimmy says:

    A grand?

She should have gone to Watson’s lawyers.

  29. 62
    Seymour says:

    More trouble for government

    http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/10/29/eu_phorm/

So guess who’ll end up paying the fine for the government’s illegal actions?
