Oh dear, I can’t help but notice the irony of an un-elected EU president stopping the traffic in Moscow on his way to see the, elected, Russian PM. The Circle of Life?

During the Labour conference met a journo in Brighton who said he went to a meeting in error. The topic of conversation amongst the group was that several current ministers were buying property in places such as Canada and NZ. Don’t know how true this is, but it may suggest some ain’t planning to take the pain of a Tory govt.
Or maybe they’ve belatedly realised the UK is full. Don’t no-one tell them Canucks have more guns per capita than Yanks and my uncle lives in NZ and quite good at beastly acts and a bit nuts. Who dares and all that…. If he’s not still in prison am sure he could give them sleepless nights.

A quote from a labour supporter perhaps Guido, anyway the pain is going to all ours due to G brown screwing the economy, sorry -the people – for the whole time he has been in government wringing out every last drop in taxes then going on a borrowing spree to boot. The indulging in QE to which he has strapped a couple of turbo chargers. As usual the Conservatives will have to sort out the mess left by labour, who in turn will blame Cameron for years of pain to come.
Bills have to be paid, and QE has to be replaced at some point with fiscal tightning (paying the money back) and restricting the money supply so our currency will be worth something again – eventually, say 2023.

Frankly I was impressed with Miliband. D’s latest diplomatic outing just now on Andrew Marr. Something like:

‘We need an EU Caliphate such that, when the big cheese visits Moscow, the traffic stops’
