It would do them good in terms of presentation to have a visually-impaired person front and centre within the EU. After women, it is the next group to be ‘fairly represented’ there. Who knows, there might even be a brown (but not suntanned) face of two by the century’s end.

First time reader of this Blog site,good job all the venomous right wing people seem to collect on one perch.All standards of humanity have been discarded.
Look, we all have faults including Cam the Man and Gordon etc. Why pick on someone’s disability,only the lowest of the low does this and only confirms that most of you are swimming in a sewer of your own making . Gordon Brown is all tactics – always has been, always will be. Is the current admission about his eyesight yet another ploy by him to fend off another challenge to his leadership? Afterall, who in the Labour Party would be so bold as to mount a challenge against him at a moment when he’s attempting to win the sympathy of the votting electorate.
