+++ Brown Visits Moorfields Eye Hospital +++
+++ Specialists Identify Two Minor Tears on His Retina +++
Downing Street confirms.
Brown has always kept his medical problems secret in the past, following that Marr question we were told it was a private matter. Are we being softened up for a health related stand down?
He has run away from every competitive election he ever faced…

Naaah. He’s looking to cement the sympathy vote. And bring in more anecdotes about how fantastic the NHS is and how every penny he has ‘invested’ has been put to great use.
Wanker is also going on about how the economy is in better shape than predicted so he might have got the preliminary figures from the ONS for Q3. You’d expect printing 175bn quid in the last six months to flatter your figures somewhat though. I wonder if it was ‘enough’.
The American News Networks got that eye trouble/painkillers story from somewhere remember.
And unlike with Marr’s question Brown was perfectly happy when he answered that one.
It’s also worth bearing in mind that the plotters were curiously quiet at the conference. Had they been let in on a secret perhaps ?
A Harold Wilson manouvre is the kind of thing Alistair Campbell might dream up though he and Brown have never been that close so perhaps he was called back in to oversee someone else fighting the election ?
I just heard this story on the way home in the car.
The BONG-EYED-BASTARD is bottling it & we are being softened up for Brown standing down on health reasons. What a fucking coward !
6 months after he stands down, expect him to re-appear with some cushy Euopean job !
Why cant he go on invalidity benefit like the rest of the common people.
HE IS A FRAUD & A COWARD…. I hope the lying bastard has a stroke !
Political opinions aside, wishing a stroke on another human being is poor taste and points to a degree of callousness that will certainly not Make Britain Great Again
We can’t make Britain Great until we can get rid of public school boys who rent out their back passage instead of having a proper job. If your back door is open then you can always have some one have it up you. This is the problem we have. These Cu ts have let the world have it up us. Who really is running the country by having their hand up these puppets arses.
Well said!!! – This man (Brown) has lied & decieved us so much. He has also caused a lot of grief and hardship for people with his madcap policies and ideas. What is more he has also created huge problems for our children in the future. He is an evil and nasty human being and I too hope he has a stroke!
My message above was for ….Make Britain Great again !
M16 – your message is quite pathetic and shows your insecurities and social hang ups. Get a life!
In the dying days of the Labour regime the Leader gives his final speech
All depends on what the lying bastard is stroking, innit?
Like Anonymous at 5:25 pm I wouldn’t wish a stroke on anyone.
I hope Mad-Eye Moodys next shit is a hedgehog though…
The Bloated Toad has succeeded where Hitler failed. He has utterly destroyed the UK more efficiently than any blitzkrieg, he has signed up to the European constitution which is as near a carbon copy of Hitler’s ideas in Mein Kampf and now like all bully boys whose cowardice always shows through, he’s going to resign on ‘health’ grounds.
Where is our Staffenberg?
> You’d expect printing 175bn quid in the last six months to flatter your figures somewhat though.
Yep it’s like crowing that you went out for a drink with 20 quid* in your pocket, spent loads on the credit card, but you still had money for a taxi at the end of the night.
*Not enough to get home in London.
Well we have had a blind bastard for PM since he took office
What’s key is HOW bad are the tears. I’m sure there is some kind of clinical “scale” for measuring this. Tell us exactly where he is.
It brings tears to my eyes as well.
First time reader of this Blog site, good job all the venomous right wing people seem to collect on one perch. All standards of humanity have been discarded.
Look, we all have faults including Cam the Man and Gordon etc. Why pick on someone’s disability, only the lowest of the low does this and only confirms that most of you are swimming in a sewer of your own making . Wake up before the country is ruled by a bunch of toffs who have no experience of poverty or injustice . What a really unpleasant bunch you seem to be !
Perhaps he will get his friends at the BBC to hold a Blue Peter competiton to name his Guide Dog.
I’m going to send in Cookie.
Surely ‘Prudence’
Or ‘Economy’. That way, after making a dog out of the economy, he could make an ‘Economy’ out of a dog.
Surely it would be called “TransPEARant” c”,)
Has to be called “Deserved” the man is a Knut of the highest order…
It won’t be Scotty as that would confuse most of his cabinet if he said ” come on Scotty”
He’s unlikely to get a guide dog from the RNIB, more likely a crufts registered pedigree dog. Nothing too good for the workers! So it would have a multiple name reflecting its pedigree. such as
Prudence-misappropriate-Liar-laughing stock
or ‘tosser’ for short.
Surely “Mandybum” would be the dogs name.
‘Pedigree Chump’
hope he supports Laila Rouass tonight on Strictly
Dear Mr London Muslim
I think you’re doing a cracking job lad. Some of the trolls round here are a disgrace. However Sir, in this instance, I believe that whilst the dancy thingy is a small vignette into the social mores of certain communities within Britain as we now know it – in this particular instance I would put it to you that the potential decapitation of our unelected prime minister because he’s a complete numbnuts kinda out trumps racist talk. This Sir, is a democracy moving. She’s fit too eh?
i d bang her
I think Sahara Knite* is better.
* I wouldn’t google that from work…
Sound advice, as ever. Cheers bud
I speed-read that as Keira Knightley.
Shame she doesn’t have the same kind of web site ;-)
Sounds like you want her to lose. While I’ve no interest whatsoever in dancing competitions and their ilk I certainly don’t wish Miss Rouass any ill. She’s a fine looking woman and was ok in Primeval. She certainly doesn’t deserve to be saddled with the snotgobbler’s approbation.
The prospect of a man’s imminent blindness should not be a subject for humour. Just because he is the worst PM in living memory is not a good enough reason to mock him for this particular illness.
Why not?
You’ve shagged him, haven’t you?
Fuck Brown fuck the jocks, can’t they all fuck off back to Scotland?
Eat a dick, motherfucker.
I wouldn’t wish the prospect of imminent blindness on anyone, not even Gordon Brown. But I would like him hung for treason: does that make me cruel?
Not at all. To execute a man for his crimes is an entirely different matter. I agree with you, and think a lot more should be alongside him.
Quite right. I’m guessing there’s quite a few here placing their eyesight in jeopardy.
How about Guido the guide dog?
Name the Dog Chump
What’s wrong with Mong the Dog?
How about “Gormless Mk 2″ then sarah can differentiate as to whether she is calling the dog or MK 1.
hadn’t thought of Sarah, she must be pleased, at least someone will be sniffing around her soon.
Pedigree chump !
Dogma?
If his guidedog is a traditional femail yellow labrador he should name it: HOONEY
female
I suggest “Buggeroff”.
“Come here, Buggeroff!”
I suggest “Syndrome”.
“Down, Syndrome!”
Sarah, that’s what Gordon calls his bitch..then again perhaps it should be Mandy.
BBC regrets to inform our viewers that the unnamed puppy has died.
It was out walking on its own in some nearby woods.
Suicide is suspected.
If you think differently please call MI5 and leave your name and address and they will be in touch with you very soon.
This is disgraceful. Most of you are wishing – positively drooling at the prospect – of Gordon Brown going blind and getting a guide dog. How heartless can you be? Look into your soul, people. No matter what one thinks of Gordon, these comments are disgusting. No guide dog deserves to be shacked up with Brown. Give the wanker a white stick.
And a house next to a motorway.
I bet Dave is shitting himself. On Thursday he was certain to be the next PM, today the uncertainty returns.
Postie v Toff
Who’s going to win?
How can Postie win when his old muckers aren’t delivering either? The people don’t reward failure – that takes barrels of quangos and apparatchik indoctrination.
I’m going to vote Postie, they are far more useful than Toffs.
Don’t use a postal vote, they will either;
i) Be falsified by some of sub-continental cousins.
ii) Fail to be collected/delivered as all the lazy posties are on strike.
Not round here, they’re not. They are on strike. I’ve just had to hand-deliver a load of mail.
Could be a cunning plan to get the posties back to work. Postal votes for Postie PM.
When they’re all on strike destroying the small online businesses on Ebay and ruining Christmas?
Not a good item on the old bid-for-leadership CV. The only one of them who’d I give a second glance to would be Frank Field.
Labour are sooooo fucked. They think we’d vote for an unknown quantity from a failed government? And Dave’s laughing his head off.
Female!
Not you I mean a female is a dog susie. sorry
a female is a dog called hooney. see post above
Stopping digging, Ivor.
Fucking hell, here come the Alan Johnson trolls again. I thought you lot had fucked off months ago.
They’re waiting for the Postman to ring twice.
He seems unable to deliver at the moment.
Yep. This is part of the “underdog” strategy. Ailing Prime Minister of the “underdog insurgency” (q.v. Harriet Harmthenation) bravely getting on with the job of helping hard working families and demonstrating his trust in the NHS.
The nation is in tears and the doctors’ are worried about his two piddly worth. FFS
retinal tears?
Rectal tears?
The whole fecking country is in tears
Brown told Marr that he had had a check up a few days ago and his eysight was good. So why did he go to the UK’s top eye hospital this Friday? Was he telling Marr Porky Pies?
Surely Gordon would not take up valuable NHS resources and time off from saving the world if there were not a serious problem with his remaining eye.
‘Cos he’s so clever, he was able to predict his own analysis and only went for the check up a few days later to tell the doctors how best to do their job and to give them an invoice.
The King is dead. Long live the King. Ready yourself to pay homage to the successor, Lord Hoy of Boy and numerous other locations.
The crowd celebrates while this lonely old fart cries alone.
The passing incumbent was a charlatan, his only saving grace being that he was witless. His successor is the first but not the second.
Post script. As I have long suspected and has now been confirmed, that Osborne fellow is another of the world’s mass of the mentally unendowed.
He had a check up in the summer ‘which was fine’ ‘and later his retina was seen’ That sounds like there was a problem and it was picked up and referred to another consultant which would have been later than the preliminary exam. By a minute? an hour? a day? ‘But there was no further deterioration in his sight’ well there wouldn’t be between those two events would there? this is a tacit admission that his eyesight DID deteriorate prior to the first exam. Another check up on Friday ‘found no change’
Brown specifically said his eyesight was fine to Andrew Marr ‘it is not deteriorating’. Again, referring to his post eye exam period.
Usual Brown, he gives the impression he is not losing his eyesight when he is, in order to avoid answering a question about a much more serious condition.
Guido should run a sweepstake on his resignation date. The profit can go to the RNIB. Can I baggsie the 12 of December please.
Surely that can’t be true? WE CANT BE SO LUCKY! Remember everything the moron gets involved with goes wrong. If he tells them how to operate on his eye and they follow his instructions they might cut his head off.
Yes.
With this fat useless hoon they’ll turn out to be crocodile tears
I’ve said it here – in a number of guises on this site – that comment on Brown’s eyesight is the first sign of a get-out strategy.
Read the Downing St line
“After examinations surgeons found that the retina had two minor tears. However, as there has been no further deterioration, and no change in his eyesight, they decided against further operations.
“Yesterday Mr Brown visited Moorfields Hospital as part of regular checks on his eyes and this check was also fine.
“Mr Brown wants to thank the doctors and staff of the NHS particularly Moorfields Hospital. Were there to be any change, he would, of course, make a further statement.”
They ‘they decided against further operations’ – which means major eye surgery was in the frame.
‘Were there to be any change, he would, of course, make a further statement’ – so stand by your beds, this phrase is the key.
if Labour decides to hoof Brown out to minimise the GE defeat – mid-January some say is Brown’s deadline to get the poll deficit down to 7 points or so – then there’s quite likely to be a change of leader.
‘Major op, six months off, good of the country, growth has return, the great navigator saw us through, now, sadly, health family, watching the kiddies grow up….’
Well, well, Brown’s now sitting by the exit wondering what to do next…
The only way that one eyed Hoon could get the Tories lead down to 7 points is if live on air he blew Hattie’s fucking brains out with a gun then Mandelsons and then his own.
That’s a manifesto I could support.
Sound policies for a better Britain!
What’s the current wailing list time for eye surgery?
How about Blunkett for PM.
Or in time to go to hospital and Mandleson to take the reigns at the time of the TV debates…..
Aha! Bloody good point!
I suspect you might be onto something there.
So Labour are going to play their final card, The Sympathy card.
Will it turn out to be an Ace or a Joker?
The eyes will have nothing to do with his departure. Gordon Brown is paying the price for being a cowardly Prime Minister. The man has an inability to talk straight when it is required and that makes him the worst kind of professional politician. He is now in a corner and his party are right there with him. Who would replace him? Mandelson is probably the best of the bunch, but putting aside his peerage, the country would not trust him not to sell the Tower of London to some close friend or other. Behind the scenes there are those ministers who would love him to go, but who would tell him….and would it make any difference to the election? Even the younger Labour ministers are looking tired and jaded. The jury is still out on whether David Cameron is the Leader the country needs, or if we have to put up with him because there is no suitable alternative.
There is always Tony Blair. He still hasn’t got a proper job and a safe seat is easily found.
This is the problem. No one thinks boy George Osborne is up to the chancellor job, no one, probably not even George himself. Everyone thinks Cam could just about hold down the PM job but he won’t be the change that is needed.
A Dave n George vote is nainly a not Gordon vote. There is now a golden opportunity for someone to take advantage of this, these chances are very rare indeed, very rare.
They should have been tares in his throat
Or to counter a leak in the papers tomorrow?
‘Dave has 20/20 hindsight’. (Brown sees sympathy advantage)
exactomundo. devious hacks checking up on the eyesight test he had
I think the press are on to stories about Brown’s health. I think his lies to Marr are going to really hurt Brown.
THIS IS IT-the beginning of the end of Jonah, paving the way for departure-YIPEE!
Just rejoice at that news…
I am I am,already I feel lighter in spirit and a giddiness that can only be a result of the sunlit uplands that our country will soon enter when this
USELESS UTTER FRAUDSTER CRIMINAL
leaves us all.
Best not rejoice, the Brown Creature is the best Tory asset in existence.
Indeed
The Only British PM to never face an election
Only to stand along side President Blair and Vice President Mandy in the EUSSR?
It would do them good in terms of presentation to have a visually-impaired person front and centre within the EU. After women, it is the next group to be ‘fairly represented’ there. Who knows, there might even be a brown (but not suntanned) face of two by the century’s end.
Brown – inter alia – should be hanged for High Treason.
Yeah, hang the bastards!
If it is an excuse to go, then fucking get on with it and leave, we could fit an election in this November.
Andrew Neil was overheard to say to a hedge fund lobbyist
“My contract doesn’t allow me to speak at partisan events! Anyway, you couldn’t afford me.”
Fair enough.
I would probably have said “Come here you usurious bastard. I want to put you out of your shit-sucking misery”.
Labour voters are renowned for not turning out in cold and wet weather.
I’d crawl on my hands and knees through driving snow and hail to add my vote to the majority that will kill this feckless NuLabour project once and for all.
Our main focus is the treatment and care of NHS patients with a wide range of eye problems, from common complaints to rare conditions, which require treatments not available anywhere else in the UK.
http://www.moorfields.nhs.uk/Home
I wouldn’t wish blindness on anyone, even Brown. However, I doubt it is coming to that. This is likely to be paving the way for a resignation…. ‘an operation is needed to repair damage in his one remaining eye; can’t continue in office because of the lengthy convalescence period; but will make a full recovery (so will be able to move onto another taxpayer funded role at the World Bank/IMF/EU).’ Labour will go for the sympathy vote and Gordon won’t have the embarrassment of being ejected by Labour; or going down to defeat at the election.
Whoever is installed in his place will argue that with the election due in June anyway, there is no need to call one beforehand, what with Lisbon still to be ratified and the need to get The Liar installed as EU President.
You’re 80% there…..
Sorry cant stop, busy plotting and schemeing…. now whats the safest labour seat becoming vacant, queens speech nearly finished…… must polish my new watch (present from a admirer)…
OMG
Please add ‘PM’ to that string of acronyms….
Oh-oh….I’m fcuked….
Remember my Conference Panto Monologue ??
‘If I can come back, WE can come back…’
Did nt you detect the subliminal message…….??
Stand by in Number 10…….4,000 rolls of Pugin wallpaper please ( Get them from B&Q, not Osbornes..)
They’re not acronyms, they’re abbreviations.
I would shorten it all to GOD – but Tony is GOD and I sit on his right hand…
I too wouldn’t wish blindness on Brown, but you can understand his state of mind being affected by the possible thought of losing his sight. Hence the alleged anti-depressant usage.
Definitely a resignation due to ill health. A fiver on Harriet to lead Labour to defeat.
Oh, I doubt it. Lord Putrid won’t allow that. I expect a way will be found for him to assume the Premiership, with a stand-in facing Cameron in the Commons.
Excellent, Hatemen would be as good as McRuin&Bottled-It to lead Labour into thankful oblivion for two centuries.
Big hand please for Hattie Harpic and her Haranguing Harridans.
You know, Lord Mandy of Boys might let Harridan lead the defeat, betting on the Tories coming unstuck in 5 years due to the debt mountain these scumbags have buried us under. He would then lead the Labia party to a possible win in 2015
Clinic appointments
What will happen at my appointment?
During your clinic appointment you will see clinic staff and have tests and examinations. We try to arrange for a number of tests to take place in each appointment to reduce the number of visits to Moorfields Eye Hospital that you need to make. This does mean that you should expect to spend a few hours at the hospital.
Eye drops are often administered to enlarge the pupil of the eye and enable better examination of the eye. This can blur your vision for a couple of hours. We therefore request that patients do not drive home after their appointments.
Please bring the following with you to your appointment:
your glasses/contact lenses and cases,
any medication/eye drops you are prescribed in their correctly labelled containers or a letter from your GP listing all your medications, and
your appointment card or letter.
http://www.moorfields.nhs.uk/Patients/Clinicappointments
I bet Gordon did not have to go through that routine.
Oxford Eye Hospital also does the business with detatched retinas, torn retinas and the like… Just as good as Moorfields, though less famous. Where the tear is serious they fix it with laser surgery. You are conscious as they do it… with local anasthesia. Often little plastic fixer-widgets are inserted.
If a retina detaches fully it is like a black window-blind being drawn right down across your vision. The Gorgon only has one working eye. If you observe his enormous black fibre pen writing he already has difficulty seeing effectively with it. An operation is not necessary says Downing Street. I hope the man is not daft enough to go against advice… Surely he wouldn’t… whether stepping down or not stepping down.
It would be nice to get access to a really big laser then
We’re being warmed up for a resignation on health grounds. I’d imagine that the likely scenario is that we will have the Queens Speech as per usual and at some stage soon after an anouncement will be made that ‘complications’ with Brown’s eyesight mean he will not stand for election as either PM or an MP but will remain as PM whilst the party chooses a successor and he will then step down once such a decision has been made.
This will buy the Labour Party enough time to finish off the scorched earth policy that they have embarked upon….
I don’t like Mr Brown, but I do wish him well, and hope that the eye problem remains minor. Stress can’t help, so I guess it is time for him to step down.
It’s not minor though is it. One eye is already blind and the other has a torn retina. All those photographs of his speech notes at the UN written with te type of a wanted poster show that he canna see properly.
This aint no minor problem. Lets he he likes dogs
Maybe if he wasn’t such a fucking vain class warrior he would use a Monocle
You’re not from around these parts, are you?
I too don’t like Brown but in my case I don’t wish him well, I hope he spends the rest of his life in utter misery and pain.
I totally agree with you SpudGun, I don’t normally wish harm on people, but I would like him to share the misery and pain that he’s inflicted on us.
I would never wish harm or injury upon a humane person.
Hardly misery with the pension he’s set up for himself whilst robbing others of theirs.
I said Humain
I don’t wish him any harm. I’d just like to see him hanged for Treason. If we’re honest with ourselves, it’s the only just outcome.
You made me laugh out loud with your comment.
My boss some years ago, who had lost an eye in WWII, developed a semi-detached retina in his remaining good eye and was given immediate early retirement. It’s only sensible.
I don’t like Mr Brown, but I do wish him well, and hope that the eye problem remains minor. Stress can’t help, so I guess it is time for him to step down.
I doubt very much if the GREAT SNOTGOBBLER would wish YOU well, in similar circumstances!
The ocular one is not of this earth, remember! As a countryman of snottys (although HE would deny being of this country), I know his type, AND IT IS NOT A PRETTY ONE,with NO REDEEMING FEATURES WHATSOEVER!
The sooner he stands down, the better.
You mean walks down, over a steep cliff?
I DO hope that no-one on this thread stoops to Ben Bradshaw’s level yesterday on Twitter.
?
You mean bends over quite so much?
I’m sorry, are we now supposed to feel sorry for the dumb fat Scottish knob jockey? c”,)
2 secs, let me get my “concerned face” from under the sofa. Nope not there! Never mind!
No need for one – keep pressing for this nonentity to eject him from the power he holds over this great country – EJECT HIM NOW – useless fraudster.
Having eye problems didn’t stop Blunkett.
Perhaps the reason for the hospital visit was to seek a cure for the big yellow stripe running down his back.
eye problems are nothing to do with this-this is an exit opportunity
Blunkett was blind from birth, I doubt Brown can read brail for instance, so losing his eyesight would be a major problem as regards PM.
The strange thing of course is the announcement, and whether that indicates an excuse. He seemed a bit odder than usual at the Iraq service, gurning, pouting and looking at his wife all the time.
No one uses braille these days.Computers with reading software are the thing to have.So what if he goes blind how will that stop him from being the worst PM and chancellor ever.Whether he can see or not has no bearing at all-once a hoon always a hoon.
Erm Blunkett used Braille at the despatch box, I am not sure how you could make a speech or take PMQs with a laptop?
He could use his towering intelligence and not use notes at all.
Most people who have actually worked cannot use braille because their hands are not sensitive enough.Blunkett uses braille because he has never done a days work in his life.
He wasn’t using braille at the Dispatch Box, ffs. He was decoding a set of Browns’ bogies set out in a predetermined line. They call it B-rail
So now we will have a bleedingt laptop being used at PMQ’s to answer Cameron’s questions;
Quote (in robot sounding speech);
“We are well positioned to recover in the UK – we will all be very happy forever – these pills make ME very happy so there.
Oh and we are never going to cut anything cos we are Labour”
I don’t see why it would be a worse handicap than having a shadow chancellor who can’t count.
You wouldn’t. It’s not a worse handicap than not being able to count, manage, or tell the truth, either, but Gordon has overcome these three to reach the highest job in the land. Exyraordinary how in the Labour movement one can overcome adversity.
Having a Shadow Chancellor who cannot count is not as bad as having a Chancellor who cannot count!!
Obviously he must be blind already, not knowing what he’s looking at.
Having eye problems didn’t stop Blunkett.
True-but Blunkett was a GOD compared to the ocular one-in EVERY way!
could it, could it be the end game?
Just shows that he lied to Andrew Marr in the ‘pills’ interview
And he lied about his eyesight too…
Retinal problems can be caused by High Blood pressure, is that a side effect of any Anti-Depressants?
Monoamine oxidase inhibitors + tyramine (in cheese & red wine) can cause severe hypertension but MAOIs are heavy duty drugs prescribed solely for resistant depression. More likely that he has some undefined propensity to retinal detachment.
Can’t wait for the autopsy
On the body?
Who would want to do that particular exercise?
A polar bear
I’d pay to do it.
TIMES OBITUARY
So then , Blind Pew one of the biggest cutthroats and holder of the Black Spot enters history as one of the most hated blaggards in British political legend-a meddler, an egotist, a Marxist-a man that was liked by few, and missed by fewer still.
RIP
You reckon that’s how he’s been jinxing people, with BLACK SPOTS?
Doubtless cut from his father’s bible. He is the son a a nonce you know.
Hopefully the reaction of the Tory shadow cabinet will be in stark contrast to Ben(dover) Bradshaw’s vile Twitterings.
No need for the parentheses.
Well he certainly can’t see he’s f***ked up the country!
*applause*
This is it – gone by next Friday, due to ‘elf reasons.
And away with the fairies he should go.
Or to put it another way;
Get lost you miserable losing curse on this once great country, you piece of crap.
Or a 10 million bill to make number 10 compliant with elf and safety for a blind Hoon and a fat wife. No wonder he kept putting it up her shitter he was following the Russian Inoff >in off the pink into the Brown stuff<
Obviously his sense of smell was kd up as well. Blame the Tories.
I would love to hear the Hoon has gone private.
The Queen MUST MUST MUST dissolve Parliament after her weekly meeting with Brown when he tells her his intention to resign.
i love the queen an monarchy, but I think she is perhaps too old to care . She should have stopped Lisbon.
Yesterday Freddie Forsythe piece in his weekly column gave us all the answer and it has precedent. Harold Wilson re-negotiated certain clauses in the Treaty of Rome and then put the vote to the people. He never got any real changes made to our entry position, but the fact the people got a referendum.
I have faith in Cameron to follow this example. Labour could not complain as one of their former leaders did the same thing and he like Jack Jones the Spy is one of their heroes.

Stop making a spectacle- How is it that Dave says he is a eurosceptic, when he did not offer any suport to the Irish ‘No’ campaign? Not a word. Is it too much to expect that even though he may say he didn’t want to interfere in another country’s politics, that he didn’t think it of importance nonetheless to do so; given the threat to our own democracy?
I do not trust him or Hague one jot.
I hate Dave, put it wasn’t useful to meddle in the affairs of other countries.

It is still legal for a blind person to be PM, isn’t it?
Probably and I think it’s still legal to shoot vermin!
It is not legal for a mad man to be PM and so far he’s got away with that
“This summer Mr Brown had his annual eye check-up, which was fine. Later he had his retina checked,” said the spokesman.
Why? Why would he need to do that? If there really was no deterioration in his vision, why the sudden urge to have his retinas checked? What, exactly, is going on, here?
Is it an exit strategy? Or is there a worse problem?
And although David Blunkett is blind and OK, his blindness is a long-standing issue and not something that might suddenly cause total blindness.
What if he presses the Nuclear button by mistake?
or pulls the trigger of a Magnum 44?
Or takes Sarah’s menopause pills instead of his anti-depressants?
No such luck. He’ll have servants to look after him. He’s incapable of doing anything
Will somebody kindly hand this traitorous scumbag a pearl-handled revolver and a stiff drink?
“drink”? FFS Guido!
The lying cnut told jug ears last week that he had his eyes tested and there was no change.
I pay for my eye tests with my debit card so there’s no change there either.
Oh yes, hang on. Maybe he was lying. May he rot in hell for all eternity – the ©unt.
Surely by now you knows he lies about everything and is incapable of telling the truth
Excuses time, if only he sawy what was written in the Lesbian treaty he would never have sneaked in up the back passage to sign it.
Yes he would and he did.
I want to see him lose the election in a massive way. Otherwise, he will pop up in other walks of life in the future with his self-delusions still intact.
yes, of course we ALL would-but to know the man is to realise he is too much of an ego maniac to allow this-thus the exit on “health” grounds.
It would make a dam good advert for specsavers. Showing all his mistakes and mess as PM and then saying he should have gone to Specsavers
It’s not going to happen. He’ll have been having the same conversations with his inner circle as Thatcher did before she resigned. Only this time they’ll have been beating a hasty retreat from his office with a Nokia in hot persuit.
In a couple of years there will be a channel 4 docu-drama about it, no doubt.
Beating a hasty meat with a Nokia in his orifice in hot pursuit
I am just amazed that those who consider themselves to be educated and enlightened can show such narrow minded PREJUDICE against a man who has a problem with his eyesight. Would you all say the same if this was an issue of race or religion? I thought we had a society where those with any sort of impairment could be valued for the contribution they could make, but maybe not. I hope you all continue to have good health, but if you should become ill or disabled in any way, I hope you will be treated with more dignity and compassion than you have shown here.
I’m not prejudiced because he has poor eyesight. I’m prejudiced because he’s a fucking delusional lunatic who has destroyed the UK economy. The fact that his eyesight is dodgy is a matter for him and his doctor. I don’t give a shit either way. His eyesight doesn’t affect me.
His imbecilic grasp of basic economics does however affect me and I am mighty prejudiced to being prey to a minute more of it than I absolutely have to.
I do hope you see the difference.
concise and correct. seconded

Fourthed.
Fifthed even
The ‘ayes’ have it……
Says it all. Simples
Its us that has the problem with the one eyed Scots fool
Kim- on the surface it may you may think you have a point. However consider the suffering and destruction the man has wrought over the years on the country. I have ABSOLUTELY NO SYMPATHY for this man.
agree, he’s destroyed my country & allowed it to fall into European hands indirectly. My grandfather’s generation must be spinning in their graves. Fuck Gordon Brown.
Couldn’t agree more. Traitorous scum.
He should be played audio tapes over and over again telling how he destroyed our country
Bloody do gooder.
Kim,
Fuck him. He hasn’t shown much compassion for the troops he sent to war with equipment and numbers on the cheap. Nor has he shown any compassion for the people who are now out of work due to the bollocks he made of the economy.
Nailed.
Exactly! Fuck the Hoon – he deserves all he gets
This MAN has ruined my country and my children’s future.
This MAN has lied and lied for the past 12 years.
This MAN has been responsible for so many disgraceful actions taken that will damage this country.
This MAN must leave office immediately and get his eye treated so as to live a life far away from any influence on Great Britain.
Get back to the Guardian you chump.
My father is blind and I hope that Brown goes blind and has to live on the pittance that others have to live on.Mind you Brown has got a head start because he has already got his dog to help him.I believe her name is Sarah.
don’t forget Nulabour restricted the use of sight saving drugs in acute macular degeneration to patients who had already lost their sight in one eye. Karma man.
“I thought we had a society where those with any sort of impairment could be valued for the contribution they could make”
Thats just the point he hasn’t made a contribution he’s skinned us all alive and totally fucked the economy and if it takes a visual impediment to get rid of him then we can all breathe a sigh of relief but how can anyone feel sorry for a retard who stubbornly refuses to admit that he hasn’t got a clue and is running up a debt of £6000.00 a second in our name and not a penny of which will be coming out of his pocket.
We are always nice to our fellow human beings.
Not an issur here.
I have very strong views on the disgraceful things that the Labour Government has inflicted on our Country, but I totally agree with you Kim – nobody should wish blindness upon Gordon Brown.
Gary mcKinnon wasn’t saved from having a fair trial in the UK. Brown is blind.
I used to feel sorry for McKinnon until i found out what he actually *did*…
Hacker’s etiquette – he fucked with the hard drives, he deserves what he gets. Tough.
Kim – Wales
Bet you wish you hadn’t bothered now, don’t you!
Believe me, the hatred the political left hold for Thatcher will be nothing compared to the blind rage and hatred the political right have and will continue to have for Brown and his economic incompetence. I’m fairly centrist in my politics, but I am disgusted by what his ‘leadership’ has done to my country.
Same here!
Hear hear!
I’ll never be sorry that I said exactly what I believe. It has been facinating to read all the replies. I’m just glad I don’t think in the same way!
As he is now a blind Hoon (Downing street announcement) will he cancel his Sky Sports subscription?
The guy deserves to be sent to Afghanistan along with that little scottish Hoon Reid(we wont fire a shot) to catch bullets in his eye socket.
Antipathy is prejudice only when it is not founded on facts.
So which beneficent god exactly gifted us Brown? Is his reverse Midas touch an illusion of the devil?
Notwithstanding dialectical materialist twaddle about the inevitabilty of the overthrow of capitalism, I don’t exactly see how that implies that Brown had no choice about anything he did, that it wasn’t a free agent. It has been all his doing from his free will. Does that not make him a rogue?
Would the loss of his remaining sight justify his escaping from justice? I would suggest – only by collusion from the authorities and/or the jury.
I would stand down, too, if I looked like this and was an UNELECTED PARASITE: http://eotp.wordpress.com/2009/05/08/2009-new-labour-unelected-p-m-gordon-brown-parasite/
We’ve got that picture hanging in our dogs’ on-suite shitehouse
Thanx for the thought, encapsulated copies on all village dog pooh bins
Cripes. Are you in marketing?
Snotty’s Robert Smith impression.
The End of the World!
In what sense is he unelected though? He is an MP elected by the people of Kircaldy or somewhere in Jockland. It undermines your point when you trot out this crap about being unelected. We don’t vote for Prime Minister we vote for MP’s and they choose the Prime Minister. How hard is that to understand?
he’s the English prime-minister voted by jocks
Infidel,
He had the chance to put his time as PM to the voting public, but the spineless bastard ducked it. Thanks be to God that he did or we would have been looking at another five years of these utterly useless bastards.
365,
Are you seriously trying to tell me that Brown is a legitimate PM? Admittedly, we do not elect PMs but we do elect the leader of the party who we know will become PM. Therefore, there is a tacit election of that leader to be PM.
Consider this scenario: in the year 2114 voters voted for a party because they liked its leader. The party wins and the leader is PM. The very next day the leader –WHOSE PARTY WAS VOTED IN ONLY BECAUSE OF HIM OR HER– suddenly steps down and appoints an egregious, semi-literate, and wholly novice and incompetent MP as the new PM.
What part of that illegitimacy do you fail to grasp?
Er, none of it.
Can you imagine this senario.
Brown goes sick for eye op
Madleson stands in as deputy PM (in the Lords)
Calls an election and wins
Brown returns after eye op with new mandate
From Sky:-
“Mr Brown wants to thank the doctors and staff of the NHS particularly Moorfields Hospital. Were there to be any change, he would, of course, make a further statement.”
We’re waiting…………………
Meteor strike at Moorfields tmorrow.
*Claps*
Has he got that as well. That would explain his insanity
Tea all over keyboard, and dripping out of my nostrils. Thanks, Tone.
“Run away! Run Away!”
Better to offer the coward a way out rather than having him annihilated at a GE. Good old Peter.
oddly enough John Denver did leave on a jet plane as he was killed in an aircrash
I preferred the Peter, Paul and Mary version, even though they were a bunch of hippy hoons!
As did British Military personnel on a Hercules* missing it’s fire suppression fuel tanks…
*OK not a jet…
well actually is a jet – the engines are jet engines – they just power a bloody great propellor on teh front, instead of a big enclosed turbine.
Strictly speaking, he left on a Rutan propellr plane.
Nulabour has realised they are finished, so now they are softening us up for a face-saving departure from Snotty before the GE, to be replaced – after some constitutional tweaking – by Lord Mandy.
If I told you once I told you a thousand times, Gordie:
http://www.happeh.com/
Tony, that explains everything…………
Bloody hell!
Better take this one off GUIDO and pronto!
You sod Tony – my wife is far less tolerant than Jacqui Smith, so if she saw me looking at pictures like that I would have a lot of explaining to do.
Apols all, due to slow loading from Vodafone Mobile I hadn’t the lower halves of the pics before posting. Still, the point remains valid.

Thats a years supply of sandpaper!
Why would Brown face the people in an election he is sure to lose when he ran away from a vote he actually stood a chance of wining?
Hell will freeze over before he allows himself to be rejected by the people he has so little in common with (ie normal). This is the beginning of the end.
History will remember him as a spineless bully who coveted power, stole the top job and destroyed the Labour Party. A fine legacy indeed for a one-eyed son of the manse with severe emotional problems and the emotional intelligence of a mallet.
Can someone explain why he cant continue to be prime mincer even if he cant see.
Whether a person is blind, male, female, gay, straight, black or white makes no difference… it’s their competence at doing the job they are employed to do that’s at issue.
If Brown was doing a good job, nobody would care two hoots how many working eyes he has (or any of his other habits for that matter). The fact is that he’s not, so his differences get highlighted.
He wasn’t elected on his vision after all. Oh, he wasn’t elected. His vision has been great detriment to our nation and must be reversed.
How is Moorfields’ history on MRSA. and C-Dif? One can but hope.
You really think our beloved leader would go near a NHS hospital,he even went private to get his teeth sharpened to enable him to suck our blood.
Good! Just so long as he goes it doesn’t matter why.
I think it does matter. If he goes and another hoon steps in as an unelected PM. At the GE when Labour get trounced the country will have to pay another PM pension for a couple of months work……. Troughers the lot of them.
I say he should call the election and use the eyesight as the excuse to not take part in the leaders debate.
A hospital spokesman confirmed they found no evidence of guts whilst examining Brown.
Well said sir.
Or balls!
I keep mine in a little bag
The tight scottish kunt is just after a free labrador
Can we have a whip round for a pitbull?
He already has Damien
Hahahahahahahahhaah my best belly laugh of the day
Why has he gone to Moorfields when he should be in Broadmoor.
Is the Tom Tom playing up again?
Ah yes, the talking drums. Line’s not very good. Must be BT Tom Toms.
On the NHS! They’ve probably been examining his glass eye.
I’d give Moorfields more Credit. Oh never mind.
Of course he may been forced on the advice of his doctors to back out
of the live TV debates with Cameron and Clegg.
The studio lighting could cause further damage to his one good eye.
Shame I was looking forward to Gordo in the spotlight, perhaps he could
wear dark glasses and a mask like Michael JACKSON!
At some kind of psychological level is there not a connection between the illness and the person. Politically he literally refuses to see the mess that the nation is on and that he has contributed towards. The physical emanation of his political failings are now manifesting themselves. I certainly don’t wish The PM ill unlike some of the the more miserable twits who have posted above, I think they are as stupid as Brown has been and deserve each other.
very contrite-however they have no political power and he is a prime minister with an unbridled appetite for the destruction of this country-and the rest of us neither want nor deserve to have this man in high office.
I want only the worst for Brown. But bizarrely the ‘worst’ thing that could happen to Brown is that he might get better. He might recover from whatever delusional mental illness he has where he is the saviour of the world who has abolished boom and bust.
I want Brown to get better and see the absolute destruction his fuck-witted incompetence has wrought on the UK. And then I want the knowledge to eat him up. I want him to sink into a black hole of dispair as he realises the absolute economi and social clusterfuck he has made of the UK. I want him to awake every morning in a black hole of depression and get worse from there.
So, in order for him to really suffer I want him to ‘get better’. To become normal.
They say General Haig died a thousand times once he realised the true damage that his one-dimensional tactics caused in WW1.
There are statues of Montgomery. There are statues of Churchill. There are statues of General Slim but the only statue I ever saw of Haig was in Edinburgh castle and, if I remember rightly, it had been paid for by some Indian Prince or other. No popular subscription for that incompetent butcher.
That’s what I want for Brown. Despised in his lifetime. Torn apart by the knowledge of what he’d done. Despised after his death. Unlamented.
That’s what I want for Brown.
Is that too much to ask?
NO
History is written by the victors.
If the EU/New World Order triumphs, he’ll be forever lauded as a hero of the clandestine revolution.
History is a long time in the writing, and Britain’s history is far longer than the EU’s. The Britain/EU chapter isn’t finished yet, by a long way….
read this there is hope
http://www.express.co.uk/ourcomments/view/133008
Sadly you’re right.
Not true, field Marshall Haig was popular with his troops, half a million turned out for his state funeral. His public subscription was to start the Haig Fund, now renamed but soon to be selling poppies again.
Get over the defeatist Blackadder version of history, Haig led britains forces in 1918 to possibly their greatest ever victory in the Battle of 100 days using combined arm tactics with infantry, artillery, tanks and aircraft. Read Gary Sheffield “forgotton victory”.
You must be new here?
I refer you to a book written in 1958 by Leon Wolff. He used eye-witness accounts and archive information – aware that even then the memory pool was fast shrinking.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_Flanders_Fields:_The_1917_Campaign
The sheer mindless slaughter. The sheer waste of life. The utter incompetence of the high command.
It would bring tears of frustration to your eyes. Like Brown.
My copy is long since tattered and given away or I would give you some choice quotes.
Haigh died a thousand times cos he had a conscience innit ?
If you read (& understood) History, you would know that Haig and the other Generals were good men, Military geniuses in fact.
One thing’s for sure they were all patriots, not like this traitorous spawn.
What a crock of shit. Smells more like a great exit ploy cooked up by Mandlehoon to ensure this lying liar of a fecking liar avoids any sort of public vote on his performance. I hope he remembers every day that the British public hate him. We hate what he stands for, we hate what he has done to democracy, the rule of privilege as opposed to justice, the do as i say not as i do arrogance of his cohorts in crime.
if he had any semblance of honour he would have sought a democratic mandate for his almost single handed ruination of our finances. Prudence my arse. Name a single good thing Brown is responsible for? exactly. The bottler has avoided the public at every opportunity, even now the lying spin machine plots an exit to avoid us rather than face the humiliating kicking he is long overdue.
Gordon’s adieu to T.Bliar ?
On a positive note ,if Blunkett i is any measure then gordon will be getting plenty of action (probably the back door kind) when his eyes give up.
My own personal theory is that
McMentals eye has given up the will to live, bored from having to read the fucking wank repetative shite that he keeps churning out.
Wanker is also going on about how the economy is in better shape than predicted so he might have got the preliminary figures from the ONS for Q3. You’d expect printing 175bn quid in the last six months to flatter your figures somewhat though. I wonder if it was ‘enough’.
More evidence that being a tosser is bad for your eye sight.
Why does anyone believe he really does have ‘two tears on his retina’? After all, the whole Labour political establishment is unable to utter a truth. Why do you believe this any more than you would believe other ZaNu Labour statement?
Do I believe it? Not a chance.
That’s the whole problem – they have lied and lied and lied and lied – nothing can be believed anymore with this gang of crooks.
Go – in the name of 60 million of us – GO!
The liberal democrats are already out canvassing in St Albans.
Is this all it takes to wake you up?
Aye.
Dear Kim-Wales at 2.59,
Would you have asked a Jew to express regret when Eichmann was hanged?
This half-blind apology for a half-wit PM has ruined this country. He has certainly ruined my old age (I’m 74). The man is even more loathsome than his predecessor. At least the Blair creature did what he did for Dollars and he succeeded brilliantly. How he sleeps at night I do not know but Brown does not even have that excuse. He turned this once reasonably prosperous and reasonably happy country into a heap of shit. He did what he did out of sheer, stubborn, political malevolence. To put it bluntly, I would not piss on him if he was on fire.
I would,if I could only piss high octane rocket fuel!
With no danger of a blow-back….
from Mandelson?
Dear Anonymous,
Give Kim from Wales a break.
I agree with your first paragraph and I also agree with your description of what Brown has done to us personally and our once great Country, but surely it’s cruel and pointless to want him to lose his sight?
P.S. you forgot to mention selling our gold at a ridiculously low price!
Grandma,
Cruel and heartless you say? Better if the useless bastard lost his life. So that others might live.
Cactus and Triffids should be addressed to Ward 10
Gordon, Please go to Kings Cross and buy a one way ticket to Edinburgh Waverley. Do not ever enter England again.
Gordon, Please go to Kings Cross and buy a one way ticket to Edinburgh Waverley. Do not ever enter England again.
Eff off Ian-WE don’t want the useless terd here either! YOU KEEP THE ANTS SCROTUM-YOU SOPPY M0RRIS DANCERS ELECTED HIS ILK 3 TIMES IN A ROW!!
FFS!
Let’s seperate the personal from the political.
On a personal level, if Brown’s eyesight is failing, or if this is a cover for problems with depression, cut the man some slack. I wouldn’t wish afflictions of this nature on anybody, and if he does need to step down for treatment, or to recover his health, he should be allowed to do so, and not have his personal dignity publicly shredded.
Right, that’s got the personal dealt with; now the political.
Brown’s politics are, and have been since he has been in government, utterly detestable and dispicable. His economic management of the country has been disasterous, his smearing and (probably) lying utterly unacceptable. If his political dignity is publicly shredded and cast to the four winds, so be it; he deserves no less. He is the worst Prime Minister of my lifetime, and before that, the worst Chancellor of the Exchequer.
If this is his way out, so be it. He will not be missed in public life by this member of the electorate.
Engineer, so we have to play the good samaritan and the do-gooders tell us to be nice to him and he can send our troops ill equipped to a war we don’t even know what we are fighting for,MRSA in hospitals hundreds dead and he does faf all,we suffer while he gets the best, no chance even if he had foot and mouth (remember that)he gets no sympathy from me.
You appear to be lost engineer
are you new here ?
I suggest you look at some of the comments here and say, just about any other subject thread Guido has ever posted to find the amusing foaming at the mouth hatred some here wallow in
However even the tone of Guido’s post lets the cat out of the bag
Fear. Real palpable fear that Brown might actually quit
And it’s not as if this is the first time this idea has been floated either
Why ? Because Cameron and the Conservatives like most posters here have invested all their hatred and political capital into Brown the Bogeyman
So if he suddenly quits…
Panic!
Ah,I see Balls-Hitler has finished his afternoon fingering and logged on to Guido!
Don’t you mean Ball-Scooper?
Hahahahaha! you compared someone to Hitler because you’re that clever.
knee-jerk parroting of a couple of Labour twat’s names in the absence of intellect or coherent reply to something you don’t like.
It’s like a battling wits with turnips and radishes on this site.
Brown won’t quit. He’s a self-proclaimed political giant. he lives in a bubble of Labour party sychophants and arse-lickers and is manouvered from Primary School to Primary school to Andrew Marr interview where he is handed low-ball quesions in front of a star-struck audience of apparatchiks and school kids.
Everything possible is done to keep him in his deluded bubble of world saviour, vanquisher of boom and bust.
He won’t quit.
He thinks that apart from Adam Boulton and 300 or so Tory MPs the whole world loves him.
Lunatic that he is.
Dear Troll – do you seriously think any other leader of the Liebore party would make a scrap of difference to an election result?
Yes, you’d get a bounce in the polls, for a bit. But if a new leader carried on with the same old spend, spend, spend, or the same old Mandelslime smears, the bounce would soon reverse. If a new leader started on the austerity-type measures we have to have, the electorate would say ‘why wasn’t this done sooner?’
Go on, change your leader. It’s too little, too late.
D’accord… as so often.
Dear spud – I don’t think it will make a difference the polls do.
And you might live in a bubble where politicians don’t watch polls like there political lives depend on it but the fact is they do.
He’s not my leader he’s a cock but I realise that when anyone says something that doesn’t accord with a slavish Tory Party line here the little spads and lickspittles can’t help but scream LABOUR! like hysterical fuckwitted twats.
Wow. So labour can be saved if Brown quits? Who by? the twice disgraced, unelected, corrupt as fuck deputy prime mentalist? or perhaps the “law does not apply to me, find me at the house” Harperson? Or by Balls
Labours best hope is a morally bankrupt, vacuous marxist postie. Great. Just what the UK needs right now – to be run in a modern fashion like the Postal Unions.
CMD might or might not be great, but he hasn’t fucked me over as much as the Blair and Brown definitely have.
Economy… fucked
Public sector…. fucked
Armed Forces ….fucked
Education system ….fucked
Policing …..fucked
Foreign Policy ….. fucked
Pensions ….. fucked
Democracy …. utterly fucked.
immigration…. fucked
NHS….fucked
corrupt and useless MPs…. doing very nicely thank you, enough in the bank to be going with, we’ll be off now.
Now we know why he would not walk by on the othe side.
The Hoon could not see to walk across the road on his own.
>>>>>>>>>Breaking News<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Gordon Brown says he thinks Cherie Blairs is attractive.
It’ll be all the flies a-buzzin’ that brought him to that conclusion.
So do I.
Detaching retina? So now even parts of his own body are trying to escape him. Or maybe Mandy tried to sell it to pay down some debt. His, not ours. Still, look on the bright side, somewhere in the mess of legislation this shower of shite has created, there may be a few things to prosecute him with. Pack’im off to a cosy hideway on Rockall to write his memoirs or something, but please god, get him the hell out of our lives.
McBroon has discovered the lyrics to “please don’t talk about me one-eyes gone”
Explains why cyclops hasn’t seen anything coming. He’s blind to the truth because he can’t SEE it.He wouldn’t know the thruth from a nun’s Hoon. The Hoon.
He has run away from every competitive election he ever faced…
HUH?
Two tears in my eyeball,
And I’m still rolling along
Them Conservatives are after me
and I’m all inflamed, with trouser stains
But I’m singing a happy song
Apologies to Burt Bacharach, and thanks be to Prozac.
“Two tears on his retina” sounds more Beefheart than Bacharach to me, but then I don’t live in Tuscany or drive one.
Lord Fondlesons was rushed into hospital yesterday suffering from premature ejeculation. The doctors told him “it was touch and go” so he discharged himself immediately!
I don’t think Brown’s eyesight or lack of it will be the reason he will be removed as Labour party leader. He will be removed because the majority of the electorate have eyesight problems, they hate the sight of him, sad but true.
It must be a contageous problem. The whole Labour movement has always lacked vision FFS!
i have no sympathy for brown- did he show any care for the troops when he cut the armed forces budget-just to get at tony blair?
ffs! the man is an overgrown child with delusions of grandeur..
every time he opens his mouth he lies……..
what was it he told andy marr last week?
chasing obama into the toilets to look at his cock?
a ‘marriage’ to a woman that was arranged by charlie whelan when we all know about his trips to ‘the hamptons’……..
I don’t …..more please
It wasn’t the Hamptons, it was Cape Cod – or more specifically, Provincetown, known informally as P-town. The place is a haven for gays, twelve months a year.
Take my advice, don’t go there or anywhere close. I got lost near Hyannisport (near the Kennedy’s compound) once, and was only saved by a gas station attendant warning me that I was “on the wrong road for a straight guy”.
It is a known fact in the area that our Beloved Leader was a regular in the area.
We know tough guys don’t dance.
On a more serious note, Monday will be the “red letter day”. Quite a number of MPs will be facing emptying their pockets yet again back into the public purse.
Anyone fancy an Autumn general election?
“I am dissolving Parliament so that a General Election may take place on Thursday, 5th November 2009″
Come on Liz, England expects…
fav date for G F
“Yes, we thought it appropriate”
Bollocks, am finally having my kidney stone removed that day, 54 weeks later
“Yes very tasty — I’ll have it for dinner with a glass of Hermitage 2007″
Apply for a postal vote. Tell them you’re a Labour voter, and you’ll get several.
what about mandy?
he’s got a detached rectum!
There’s none so blind as those who will not see.
confucius say the one eyed man is king in the land of the blind
I hope his sight hols up long enough to see the two fingers of the Electorate
I hope his sight holds up to see the name of the Company on t’ side of removal van

its a brown micht nacht tunite
Perhaps he can learn to “see” by sound like that amazing young lad.
Throw a Nokia and listen to the echos.
I have posted on here several times over the past few months stating that Gordon will resign on health grounds. He has done what was required of him, namely hold on till the Irish voted ‘Yes’.
Now only the Czechs to go and then Cherie can start looking for curtains suitable for your beloved president.
I love it when you all can’t see what has been going on……. till it’s too late.
LOL
The imperial war museum will make a nice block of quarters for the Euromilitia
I do wish Brown well, though he hit me a pensioner with a 20% income tax. He never spoke the truth and his pouring the dosh into an unreformed NHS meant that my GP has no longer an old banger but arrives in a silver mercedes, employs all his family members and works 3.5 days a week keeping “bankers hours”. The immigration is out of control and with Brit-educated doctors and specialists emigrating in droves, he would have seen by a bunch of Asian eye surgeons surrounded by African registrars and Philipino nurses. The b@s*rd sold the country to foreigners. That is not his fault, we idiots, voted Tuscan Tony 3 times and applauded this cyclop for his economic wizardry. I can’t wait to see Harperson trouncing the wishy washy postie and leading the party to oblivion.
Little englander! Typical patriot. Pah.
“That is not his fault, we idiots, voted Tuscan Tony 3 times and applauded this cyclop for his economic wizardry.”
Speak for yourself Gollum, you and the rest of the orcs may have voted for Anthony Liar but I certainly never did.
So will Harriet Harm-men make her move? Will Gordy name a successor? Can Johnson take-over and improve ZaNu’s ratings?
My guess is, no one in their maladministration will want to risk becoming leader until they are defeated at the election. They should have learned that from Hague’s experience.
Sorry, but we are going to have more of the Brown-stuff until May 2010!!!!
I think he’s been told that will only happen if he stands firm on sending McKinnon to a US supermax for the rest of his life.
Fecal matter, the lot of them.
His political vision has been impaired for years. Now his eyesight is catching up.
Take me with you. I can see perfectly.
Are you suggesting Broon will place pins all over the floor of the cabinet meeting room and pretend to be able to pick them up as if having 20/20 vision.
So who will stick their leg out? Mandy or Millibandy?
What’s the difference between Gordon Brown and Flt Lt Colin Blythe?
One made a mockery of the currency and re-used tea leaves.
The other was a character in The Great Escape.
I’m surprised to hear that Gordon Brown only has two tears in his rectum.
I thought it would be more than that.
I bet he gets proper treatment – not like the rest of us, who would be stabbed in the eye with a dirty pencil by a big brute psychotic nurse, injected in the face with rat poison, and then put in a cupboard to dehydrate and starve to death.
The NHS is Nu Liebore’s ‘Tonton Macoutes’. They kill and mutilate at least a million people each year who merely look like they don’t vote Nu Liebore or welcome the expansion of the fascist public sector.
The NHS in many towns and cities has been culturally enriched, particularly in parts of the south. If you’re the wrong colour then go to the back of the queue and expect a rough ride.
Anon… You are weird… You really are, or rather your views are…
On the contrary, his/her views are the majority these days.
It’s idiots like you, bandersnatch, that are ‘weird’.
http://nationaldeathservice.blogspot.com/ covers Examples of death and injury caused by bureaucratic rationing
Here’s the top one ATM…
Figures from the National Patient Safety Agency showed that 459,500 patient safety incidents and near misses occurred in England between last October and March. This killed 5,700 people.
These are not the deaths caused by rationing, as they are not on the database. These are the ones caused by inadequate training, cock-ups and blindly following procedures instead of thinking.
On a serious note, here’s a page on torn retinas that I found merely through the process of typing it into Google.
http://www.swedish.org/body.cfm?id=582
So which Arse, Bandit Mandy or Baroness Harmthenation will be in charge when the necessary operation goes sadly wrong (don’t use out of hours doctors) and Brown-Arse gets ten times the dose of happy gas than would be good for him?
There’ll be no tears in my eyes if he goes
Did Mandy scratch him in the eye during a cat fight? The bitch.
Nah he probably just got a bit of sand in his eye when in afghanistan, he’ill be fine.
Don’t worry your selves.
Suggestions for name for McBroon guide dog – Eddie or Keela!
Bet he doesn’t call it Tony.
Eddie? Keela? You want his guide dog to get unfairly rubbished?
For any socialists longing for a return to Tony Blair … lest we forget,

Blimey. How many express PR folk are in the reflection? It reminds me of a roman orgy type thingy wotsit
I will tell you this boy….:
When you walk through the garden
you gotta watch your back
well I beg your pardon
walk the straight and narrow track
if you walk with Jesus

you gotta keep the devil

Bytheway.
Well first of all retinal tears can be repaired.
Secondly, it isn’t his eyesight that makes brown incompetent. Even blind, a competent person could cope with his job.
Let’s be britally honest, the problem with brown is that he isn’t competent.
tsk! spelling!! brutally.
Whats an odd i doing on here anyway?
Which is OK when there is at least one good eye, so if there are problems it’s not a disaster. But if there is already no sight in the other eye, this sort of op is much more dangerous. Even cataract removal is done one eye at a time.
My old man has lost the sight in one eye, has serious problems with the other, has been wonderfully treated at Moorfields, has had frequent laser treatment for torn retinas – and at the age of 71 he still has to damn well go on working because he doesn’t get a gold-plated pension like Gorgon will get (doesn’t get anything except the state pension), and whatever he earns is taxed at 40% (thanks, Mr Brown), and our few savings earn diddly-squat in interest but they’re still taxed (thanks, Mr Brown), and every penny of our income and expenses claimed is pored over by HMRC in a way that MPs noticeably don’t have to suffer.
I’ll save my tears for the military families and their bereavements, thank you.
Violet,
Do you think Brown had superior service from the NHS because of his more-equal job?
ACO. Of course he did!!
If you had the PM in A&E waiting for attention , watched closely by the media, are you really going to leave him sitting there the minimum wait of four hours, to be photographed and video’d
And then, as the local NHS PR Officer, are you really going to allow , during this normal prolonged wait for help, the local media to ply the other desperate, sick, NHS ‘customers’ to endlessly repeat their horror stories to the media throng, of how they have been waiting for treatment 6 or 8 or ten hours and not yet seen anyone.
So, of course, brown, cameron or bliar and their familiies needing NHS healthcare will get premier class treatment and moved through the system swiftly.
The rest of us will be lucky to be seen in under six hours and treatment might be days before it follows and then it might not be any good.
I speak from experience.
In our experience, Moorfields give fantastic care, but sometimes you have do have to hang around for hours.
When I had 2 retinal tears lasered at a local big hospital in East London, it took 3 appointments, 8 hours of waiting in total, a flaming row with the Departmental Manager (and an admission from a junior doctor that there were far too few doctors to ever cope with the number of patients) before it got done – and that was after 11 years of Labour saving the NHS for us all.
are they Tiny Tears?
Yep McGay will hang on until Christmas and stand down in the new year with “ill health”, there will then be an attempt to have a ‘coronation’ of a chosen leader (probably Hattie Harman or Ed Balls) which will be spun out until about March or April time, we will then be told that the election might as well be in June.
It’s a deliberate attempt to try to fool the public again. The left wing Hoons like the BBC tried to derail the Tories last week and it failed, Cameron is popular as is the Tory truth that severe cuts in public spending are needed.
Brown is a tool, living in a fantasy world of yes men and broken Nokia’s.
Either harpy hattie or edb will do nicely.
Both of them are caricatures of mentally deplete human beings. Truth is one of them have any connection to reality.
tsk! saturday afternoon!!
..truth is NOT one of them has any connecton to reality.
I wonder whether harpy or edb/yvette are going to be amongst the 100 members of parliament named and shamed next week by the special auditor brought in to check the last five years expenses of mp’s, for corrupt practices in claiming expenses???
Tsk! Truth is NOT one of them has any connection to reality – the rest was modded – oh well there you go!
Mad Hattie or Ed (Dog) Balls, makes no difference. Labour are royally and soundly fucked!!!
Couldn’t we pay the eye surgeon’s to rip his effing retina to shreds ?
Much as I would like to agree with you Guido, he’s won elections in his constituency (although, of course, a donkey would win there if it had a red rosette attached to it’s rump)
With the posties going on strike, political extremists fighting each other on the streets, and economic stagflation on the way, it looks like the seventies all over again. Except this time I expect it to be much worse.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/manchester/8300431.stm
Let’s seperate the personal from the political.
On a personal level, if Brown’s eyesight is failing, or if this is a cover for problems with depression, cut the man some slack. I wouldn’t wish afflictions of this nature on anybody, and if he does need to step down for treatment, or to recover his health, he should be allowed to do so, and not have his personal dignity publicly shredded.
Right; now the political.
I think my eyes would bulge out of shape if a grown man tried to put a banana up my chutney cupboard
PMSL….
Hat Tipped!
Interesting. Compare with post 127 at 3:40pm by Engineer.
The Trolls are on overtime….
Vote Labour.
No. Vote UKIP
vote tory to kill socialism – a vote for UKIP splits the vote and lets the bastards survive
http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-stories/2009/10/10/dad-of-soldier-killed-in-iraq-tells-tony-blair-my-son-s-blood-is-on-your-hands-115875-21736149/
So tony is finally, publicly, brought to account for manipulating us into a false war and killing off our young troops (and let’s not forget Dr David Kelly) and gordon is desperately trying to manipulate PR on his health problems so he can escape standing for election next year.
“It can only get better”!! Remember that??
What a failed shower they have become.!!!!!
Blair didn’t kill them, but he did order them into harms way. Let’s not lose sight of that.
Nor lose sight of the fact that he was certainly responsible for the deaths of thousands of Iraqui men, women and children.
Brown is usually treated by the eye department at the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
His trip to Moorfields would therefore have been for a second opinion.
This probably points to uncertainty as to how to treat the retinal tears.
Usually laser is indicated. However in unstable situations this can make matters worse resulting in complete loss of vision.
This would all suggest a serious situation that could rapidly deteriorate.
As I have said before , his eyesight is NOT an issue. If he was a competent PM whether sighted or blind it wouldn’t matter.
The problem with gordon is that he is incompetent economically, politically and socially.
Blunkett was blind . It didn’t stop him doing his job as Home secretary and it didn’t stop him being proved a failure.
Blindness has nothing to do with it!!!!
‘This would all suggest a serious situation that could rapidly deteriorate’
How convenient. The luck of the Irish you might say.
A laser is indicated? Good, one of the US missile defence ones they want to plonk here works for me.
Serious situation that could rapidly deteriorate? Sounds like what he was told about housing, banking, borrowing, Afghanistan.. Think he lost any vision years ago.
Complete loss of vision – the problem that he never did have a vision for the country just for himself
Tactics, tactics. Reinforces the “problem” as being his sight (and not anything else) so allowing the rank and file to bodyswerve onto that topic whenever anyone hints at his lunacy. No news, just a foil for the weekend’s inevitable bad press around the polls.
No chance of McDoom leaving soon because ZNL would be forced into an early election they would likely lose (at very best it is a risk). They know the polls say that without McDoom they have a chance but the cosier option is another seven months of troughing, salaries and pensions for doing little more than sharpening up their CV’s and a doing little job-seeking on the rubber chicken circuit.
In any case McDoom would not go, voluntarily or otherwise. He is a loony; in his mind only he can save the world/ZNL/you. There is no ZNL party mechanism for making him go; so they are doomed and may as well enjoy the canapes as the ship goes down.
No one in the wings, no one willing to raise their head above the parapet to take him on in a leadership row. Another two months of negative headlines on expenses for someone to front out for goodness sake, McDoom is their man. Till the final day next May. Then it’ll be…
> He is a loony; in his mind only he can save the world/ZNL/you.
A core beleif of socialism faith is the narcissism that socialists can run other peoples lives better than they can.
Add in a little Envy of others who are better manifesting itself as holding the productive back (rationalised as preventing inequality).
Then finish with a dash of Freudian Projection whereby their hidden beliefs about others are attributed to those who oppose their rule.
Liebor will keep him – if there’s a threat of an early election and the Tories promising a Referendum
Well it has been the blind leading the blind for 12 years!
The mother of all cover ups going on here at the moment and sufficiently delayed until AFTER the election. Do these twats think were stupid????
Ministers were accused of presiding over a ‘shambles’ last night as it emerged they do not know how many criminals are escaping with soft sentences. The Ministry of Justice said inaccuracies were preventing the publication of the two most important sets of punishment statistics kept by the Government.
They will now be delayed until next year – keeping the public in the dark about the impact of Labour’s controversial plea for the courts to send fewer offenders to jail.

We need a leak or a whistle blower
bombers
“Infamy, infamy they’ve all got it in for me!!”
Poor old Gordo, I wonder what he thinks in the dark hours of the night,
knowing deep down that he is the most disasterous, undemocratic PM
this country has endured in generations.
Tomorrow is another day of lies, deceit and cover-up, trying to keep all
the plates spinning.
Sometimes the thing you have coveted so much turns to dust in your hands!
Oh dear, what a shame!
But he’s still my hero
He just punched himself repeatedly in the eye, to draw the nation’s attention away from CallMeDave.
Bit like Saint Diana hurling herself down the stairs..
With the up coming televised debate lets just call Brown ‘Wilberforce’ for the camera’s shall we? Daves the one with the hat once again!
The stage is being prepared for Brown to stand down on health grounds later this year. If you’re a betting man then get some money on it now while you can.
Yes and we have been ever since Mandy came back. He and Blair know full well he will bottle it. Blair’s recent (very christian) spiteful little jibe about Brown being a quitter was just to torment Brown a bit more and pile some extra pressure on him.
Brown will hate to prove Blair right, so we will be told Brown will go blind if he carries on wanking. Oops, sorry. Then like Saunders and Ken Dodd lo! he will make a miraculous recovery and head off to a sinecure that will make the idiotic son of the manse a very rich man.
February, I reckon.
The eyes are in the hold of the behold, and his mighty chopper without the furry pelts.
Amen
Gordona est Cameroons blairum mk2
Go now Brown and take your legacy with you…..http://www.thesun.co.uk/discussions/posts/list/Go_now_Mr~46~_Brown_and_take_your_legacy_with_you~33~-197094.page

Here’s my thoughts on the Brown legacy…
http://gamesnet.vo.llnwd.net/o1/gamestar/objects/103240_main.jpg
That’s more a Brown log I see.
As Cromwell and Leo Amery said: “In the name of God, go!”
So, he had the same NHS wait as everyone else????
Or did he use the special “more-equal” NHS that Tony got?
Oh come off it… Threat of retinal detachment a medical emergency PM or not PM…
Anyone with it does NOT have to wait as I well know…
However, I agree it could be a convenient excuse for departure.
I wonder if he managed to read the Lisbon Treaty before he signed it.
You jest of course.
The useless arse wipe never read the fucking treaty!
I’m just surprised he signed it knowing that his little pal Bliar would become El Presidente
Look I’m sorry that gordon has health problems , retinal tears ad detachment and depression.
But we have to look to people like blunkett when it comes to blindenss and ask whether sight was an issue in the success or failure of the job that he did.?? Hmmm? No is the answer.
In respect of depression. Churchill admitted openly that he suffered from it badly. He called it his ‘black dog’. Did it stop him excelling in his job in WW2.? Hmmm???? No is the answer.
So gordon has health problems. So do we all.
gordon has to learn that he can’t se his health problems to excuse his inexcusabe , failed performance as a Chancellor and a PM.
Sorry but I couldn’t help laughing out loud when I saw this. Perhaps they should play some junior school team at blow football but even then they would probably loose. I have no mercy as when I was in Edinburgh and England were playing W.Germany every Scot turned up in a german shirt and cheered for Germany.
Late goals sink Scotland once more
Japan 2 Scotland 0
Japan FFS ??????? hahahahahahahahahaha useless twats!
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/international/article6869252.ece
Theres always the world cup to look forward to.
Ow I forgot “We did nay qualify”.
They would not loose, but they might lose!
a little tear in the retina???
No sorry the real pain is behind his eyes and between his ears.
That is inflicting so much damage.
Those weren’t tears they were the escape hatches for his morals and 2 remaining brain cells.
**Claps**
When Smokey sings….
“It’s only there trying to fool the public”
The BBC sees fit to lead the early news with this item – complete with medical a experts and political correspondents – as if we bloody care – the damage done to this country’s economy by Brown should be the lead item on every news channel every day until we boot the idiot out of the position he is so clearly unsuited to occupy.
Brown’ latest delsuional message that the economy is picking up is straight out ” The Alice in Wonderland Book of Political Strategies!”
If the Snotgobbler was to die during Eye surgery would anyone
want any of his organs if he made them available for transplanting?
Only if he owns a Wurlitzer.
Only if the “body” from the Roswell Incident goes missing and needs replacing…..
To the guy celebrating Scotland’s defeat today. Yep, we know we’re shite. But do England recognise themselves as being towards the lower end of mediocre or do you still think you are something special?
We will soon find out when Englang get put out in the quarter finals…..by Portugal…….again :o)
England………not Englang
No.
But we’re not sufficiently petty-minded even to have THOUGHT about bothering to support whatever team happens to be playing Scotland.
And we find such bizarre behaviour in our northern neighbours so odd that it makes us think each time how much less our taxes would be without them
So can we take our leave then?
Yes please, any time you like !
Incidentally I did support England once – when they played Argentina. So we’re not all pig headed about it.
Also, the money spent in Scotland is more than balanced out by North sea oil revenues.
It’s Shetland’s oil
Nothing can balance out being ruled by Scolashism, courtesy of the Celtic Fringe
fucking ell can’t even beat Japan what a shite team.
can’t beat 11 asian midgets you couldn’t make it up, the scots team must be eating too many fried mars bars.
hahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahaa,,,etc
No it isn’t -not even close, and in the last year your bankrupt Scottish banks have consumed every penny of the oil tax revenues since the first rig started drilling. Look up the figures, they are all publicly available.
Your crap sweaty banks pissed away all the North Sea oil money in 12 months.
It began in Edinburgh.
Check out this Andrew Grice article from today’s Indy…
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/labour-rebels-set-to-renew-assault-on-brown-1800571.html
Brown is not in the clear yet, by a long way…
To be honest, the tories are very vulnerable at the moment. But while labour is still paralysed and led by Brown there is no way they will be able to exploit the tories’ many weaknesses. The most important major weakness is that socialism, rather than destroying or limiting the market, actually saved it this time. Labour need to do two things. Firstly they need to ditch Gordon (retired on health grounds would be more dignified than a knifing so maybe we are seeing the beginnings of that). Secondly they must embrace social conservatism. This will be far more difficult than getting rid of Brown though – it will be another clause 4 moment. But it’s something they absolutely must do.
He won’t ‘retire on health grounds’. He will not have a choice.
Mandy’s henchmen will start spreading the rumours that the flying Nokias and cups are actually not temper tantrums, but ‘dropsy’ and clumsiness due to the poor eyesight.
Blogs like this and the mainstream media will do the rest while Mandy’s plans for the succession develop and he appoints the ‘Mancunian Candidate’ [sic] to take over and fight back against the Cameron pitch from ‘oop north’.
Wow, Can I have some of what you’re smoking….
Aldo – I think you refer to the bank bail-out when you talk of socialism saving the market.
We will never know, of course, because we are where we are and can’t go back, but I would argue that the bank bail-out made things worse. It cost eye-watering amounts of tax-payers money that the government didn’t have. I think it would have been better to let the failed banks go bust, as the Americans did with Lehmann’s. The banks where commercial companies that took a risk, and should have taken the consequences of that risk. The government should then have stepped in to reimburse depositors, and nationalise the high-street part of the bank’s business to keep normal life going. The only people to lose would have been bank shareholders – tough, but that’s the rules of stock market investing.
Because of the government’s actions, on top of the government’s decade of borrowing to inflate the public services, we are now saddled with debts of a magnitude unknown in this country since WW2.
Thanks a flaming bunch, Gordoom.
James “Gordon” McBrown, is the new Blunkett, blind fucker.
In a related note, check this out on the No10 website >> http://www.number10.gov.uk/Page20746
Why does he suddenly want better attitudes to mental illness ?
On Monday it will be free monocles for all.
a buffoon of the highest order
Is it not wanking that makes you blind.
And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.
Q. What is the name of Brown’s new search engine?
A. Goggles
Shouldn’t yhat be GOGGLE, singular?
Funny, when my father was diagnosed with a cataract in one eye, he was told he would lose the sight in that eye before the NHS got round to giving him his FIRST consultation. Just like the NHS would have left my mother to be come a cripple after massive knee and ankle problems
Perhaps like Bliar before him he gets to jump the queues so he thinks the NHS is so d@mn good.
Gordon using the NHS and not a tweet out of Ben Bradshaw
Interestingly enough….
When you put the following figures into the electoral calculus website:
Con 40%
Lab 30%
LibDem 18%
It predicts a tory majority of only 16 – not a working majority by any stretch of the imagination – and certainly not enough for them to push through their more radical proposals.
The 40% hate Brown sufficiently enough to definitely turn out on voting day whereas the 30% like New Labour enough to pick up a phone and answer a random polling question but not enough to amble down to their local polling station on Election Thursday.
Spot on !!!
What a fucking liar this man is. Are we expected to believe these eye problems have just apeared, that this is just a coincience? No connection to the rumours of failing eyesight knocking around all summer, and fiercely denied by Brown and his cronies?
I don’t give a shit if hes going blind; he’s despicable. No sympathy. Zilch.
Get the bastard out, get get them all out.
A nod’s a guid as a wank !!!
At least we can look forward to not paying for his Sky Tv subscription when he goes completley blind
Will he get a free TV licence?
Im a merciful man
I hope the fucker goes deaf as well but lives
Guido – get him in your crosshairs sharpish – it might even be this week…
Pull the fucking trigger. He is the one we want.
Well well well…..a good exit clause for Gordon!!!!! Knew it would happen.
Couldn’t care less about his eye problems it’s the country I worry about and as soon as this idiot goes the better!!!!!!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE GO GORDON…call an Election right now .
Chick Chick Chicken……
If he goes we want an immediate general election. No farting around waiting for New Labour to elect a new Leader.
Over to you, Liz…
My god, if she’d just step in and dissolve Parliament with immediate, we’d rate her up there with Elizabeth I, Wellington, Nelson, Pitt the Younger, Churchill, King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table even.
Just do it!
So Gordon has potentially found a way out. Playing on his eye defect to allow him to slip out of politics without facing the British Electorate
What an absolute fucking coward.
‘2 small tears in the retina that don’t need surgery’ are very minor problems in the ‘optical’ scale of things. The fact that the information was leaked though, speaks volumes about an underhand message that he will be bowing out disgracefully.
Dear Prince of Wales,
Thank you.
‘The stakes could not be higher. Perhaps, at the end of the day, it is worth remembering the words of the great French writer, Antoine De St-Exupery: “Only he can understand what a farm is, what a country is, who shall have sacrificed part of himself to his farm or country, fought to save it, struggled to make it beautiful. Only then will the love of farm or country fill his heart.” Thank you, daily Telegraph’
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/broadband/6281536/HRH-The-Prince-of-Wales-The-countryside-is-in-crisis.-The-stakes-could-not-be-higher.html
Well I think this is as far as HRH can go but I’d like to think that HMQ has recieved enough letters and plea from the plebs and Subjects to warrant a reminder that we must fight to conserve our country especially as the EU subsidy is coming to an end?
pity he didn’t ask his mum not to sign the treaty
HM had no choice
Course she had. She’s the constitutional goalie and she nipped off for a fag.
If the Monarch does not protect the constitution – then what is her role – collect the dosh and bring the tourists ? Like speaker Martin ?
Yes it is unusual for the monarch to intervene but if, as many say, this is fundamental to the constiution, then now’s the time to play her cards. She didn’t.
Possible government spending reduction coming
I really do think this is the point. I know she’s done her duty all her life and observed protocol the the letter, but the country is in extremis and it’s time for her to play her hand. Otherwise the monarchy is a totally meaningless and defunct and she plays into republican hands.
Wake up your Maj! If Gordon resigns dissolve Parliament.
This eye problem is clearly Brown’s way of bottling out of certain defeat at the next election.
He has never taken part in any contest that was fair, preferring to smear and bully the competition into not taking part or else withdrawing himself.
What a disgusting specimen he is.
Brown is the new yellow.
Blue is the new brown, and grey is the new black, for this winter anyway. Though I have to say black is always de rigour.
Unless you’re a Brownsian economist, in which case red is the new black.
Don’t know why he’s making such a hoo ha about his eye. David Blunkett managed to help wreck the country, and he has no sight at all! Well, he did have a dog.
You’re not suggesting that Gordoom has cocked his leg on the economy, are you?
Sounds interesting. Tell me more!
Let’s buy Gordeon a dog…
Perhaps he/she could see the way forward better than him !
You wouldn’t punch a blind man
but
I would make an exception in Gordon Brown’s case
It’s only another fakery, a bit of deflection (this weekend’s polls); feel sorry for me etc. He won’t go easily or fast. Like when you step on dogshit, it takes ages to get rid of.
On a serious note..let’s consider the likelihood of an exit strategy.
1.If he does stand down before an election,do the Labour party ‘elect’ another PM? Who could that be..Mandleson..Johnson..Harman?
2.Given that the above happens..what ‘constitutional’ crisis does this create as we would have then had 2 unelected PM’s in a single Parliament? I know we don’t elect PM’s..just the Party;but what mandate do the above 3 have in the mind of the public. Mandleson is an unelected Peer..Johnson unknown prior to the last election…and Harman? Well, enough said.
3.Would any of these 3 want the risk of being PM for less than 6 months?
4.Would a ‘new’ PM revive Labours’ fortunes…given the 3 ‘candidates’ ,very debatable.Do they think that a marginal win is possible..sympathy vote etc.
5.Would the Government have to go to the Country immediately? Perhaps it would minimise the damage to Labour, with Brown out of the way, in an election in June.
6. If a new PM was put in place without an election, what would be the reaction of the electorate and more visibly….the Press?
I don’t have answers, as with this Government anything,no matter how degraded,is possible.
I do think that a new PM without an election could cause riots amongst the public and Press.
I reckon that a most likely possibilty is Brown standing down..a snap election being called with Labour praying for a sympathy vote to keep them in power.
5.
This country never has an election during the dark nights of Winter. The election will be March next year.
I tip Johnson to take over from Brown after his resignation.
Yeah..I’d go with that..although possibly early April after the clocks go forward.
The ‘minor’ tears aren’t enough for him to go immediately,so stringing it out til then is entirely plausible…’oh it’s got worse in the last 5 months’ etc
every night is dark with these mother ‘fing labour bas’ards.
Ben Bradshaw is in big trouble. The Sun have lined up several Labour creeps to shoot down and he is the first in the firing line. Starting soon!
GGGGGGGGGREAT. His religion is Ben Bradshaw, and he’s fanatical about his religion, you can see it in his bright sparkling teeth.
Poopers Cooper please
Explain.
hit wrong thread BC, apologies.
If NOW are taking requests would like to see Yvette benefit from more press time
Ben Bradshaw is a religious zealot. His religion is Ben Bradshaw, you can see it in his white sparkling teeth!
I see yon Brown was a protege of the great Trades Union Traitor, Comrade Jack Jones who used to rule us in times gone by, in between giving the Ruskies what few secrets we had.
Maybe Brown could go off to the Kremlin to have his eyes done, and join the other brave comrades who went before and never came back.
Being a traitor to this country makes you a hero of the Labour Party.
Brown and other Labour/trade union leaders have all praised the traitor Jack Jones and they refuse to retract this now that his betrayal has been made public.
It’s good someone else noticed their traiterous collaboration.
Everything’s clear if you understand who’s been running Brown all these years.
All his actions now make sense.
Oh fucksi. Rumbled.
Will Clarkson have to change his description to “half an eyed scottish idiot” now?
At Labour Party conference, Brown insisted that there was “absolutely no deterioration” in his eye sight.
Yet today we learn that, “tests reveal tears to retina of his one good eye”.
The Acursed One-Eyed Son of the Manse curses the One-Eyed Son of the Manse.
Technically Gordo is right of course. His sight ie his vision is not affected, but the state of his eye has deteriorated. He’d have to resign if his vision becomes threatened by a detatched retina and he needed to rest ie BEFORE he lost his sight. Once he’d lost it there would be no reason why he couldn’t resume….if that’s what you want!
How could a visually challenged PM really know what he was signing?
Mr Biscuit
Is it true that Mandy has offered to lend McMental his Japs eye?
Fucking generous offer if true
The Jap will probably just smile politely and then get on with the job
This politics shit is all bollox really, isn’t it. The only way that people should think is: how can I get food, shelter and water, without murdering, maiming and robbing people around me.
Now, where is my shotgun? I need to try out some of my solid slug cartridges.
An Englishmans home is his own bunker and all that..
Gordon Brown’s new eye test poster:
C O N S E R V A T I V E 45

Lib Dums are taking a battering in these polls, even worse than Labour.
According to electoralcalculus, if that was repeated at the election. The Tories would have a 180 seat majority and Alaister Darling, Jack Straw and Jon Cuddas would all lose their seats!
If I had my my way,Darling would lose his balls cos I would stuff them down his lying throat
So Brown has two small tears in his rectum. Is it a coincidence that this has happened soon after Mandelson returns to the government?
I take it Jonah AKA Blind Pew wished England well for this evening’s game.
New of the World/ICM: Conservatives 45 (+5) Lab 26 (n/c) LD 18 (-5)!
こんにちは私の名前はGordonあなたの陰茎を吸い、あなたの節約を流出させるかもしれない私である
Can you do that in Kanji Brail please.
He who shits in own nest, gets brown behind.
It wouldn’t take that many characters to say that, although doubtless a well known Japanese proverb.
Just according to keikaku
(translation note: keikaku means plan)
I feel a clip is needed.
‘The Tears of a Brown’ courtesy Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, I do believe.
I predicted your need at 366.
Thank you Chronic, I’m a bit slow. Should have read more postings.
Excellent and appropriate.
Lib dums will now be frantically trying to come to some shabby powershare deal with Zanu….
and UKIP they need PR just as much.
UKIP if you want to, the lady’s not for sleeping.
Hah Hah!!!
I really, really hope they do. People need to be completely clear that a vote for Limp Dumb is a vote for Liebour. As a Conservative I try to make that clear but it’s great if the Libs and Labs cabn also broadcast the same message.
Sensational ICM poll in tomorrows News of the World. A huge 19% lead for the Tories over desperate, dying Labour.
That’s the second highest lead ever recorded by ICM.
Brown will be gone before Xmas.
Thank you Father Christmas, just what we wanted for Cringletide
People have had enough of the lying shyster marxists, with the shrill Harriet Harpyman desperately trying to foist a load more inclusive diversity equality bollocks on us all before the next GE.
Brown’s ill-health exit strategy is well underway.
…while Johnson’s former postie colleagues do their marxist best to fuck up what is left of our crappy postal service.
You must na forget, it’s all controlled from the Kremlin House via the laddie Broon, before he hands over to Postie.

BBC mentioned expenses & the ONLY ones they used to illustrate their story were the Tory ones moats etc. Talk about journalistic balance………. not
They’re only jealous ’cause Paxo hasn’t got a duck house. Yet
Mandleson has minor tears to his rectum – which might explain why he is such a pain in the ass
The Fissure King….sorry Queen.

Lost the sight in one eye at a young age.
Sight in the other saved against all odds.
Fought adversity to attain the the highest office in the land.
On balance though, still a Hoon.
Mr Brown wants to thank the doctors and staff of the NHS, particularly Moorfields Hospital. Were there to be any change, he would of course make a further statement.”
Number 10 indicated that the details had been released in the interests of “transparency”,
In the interests of “transparency” TRANSPARENCY!!!!!!!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA…………
Ohh. sides splitting!!!!!!
As a human being i hope he’s alright.
As a PM who wasted Britain, will be please go.
Oh that explains why despite being the best chancellor ever he never saw the recession coming or the fact that his economic handling of our economy would be the mother of all clusterfucks !!!
Its an illness innit !
“Mr Brown wants to thank the doctors and staff of the NHS, particularly Moorfields Hospital. Were there to be any change, he would of course make a further statement.”
My God if that is not a set-up for the coming weeks….
“Further to the information released on Saturday 10th October,we can confirm that following yet another tantrum,Brown managed to catch the HP printer thrown at his secretary and is now in Broadmoor for ongoing tests – his UPGROWTH is responding to stimulus, with an electric cattle prod – meanwhile, over to 10 Downing ST and the newly sworn in PM,Peter Mandelson….”
Brown out .Johnson in.
Boris? He’s not an MP any more. They would have to make him a Lord like Mandelson.
[...] Just visited Guido’s blog to see I’ve used the same words and come to the same conclusion. Possibly related posts: [...]
Surely the the-eyed trouser snake and Balls make a full set. Meat and 2 veg.
Simples.
Traitorous spawn, Jack Jones’ proteges.
As someone who’s self employed in the construction industry and have struggled for the last year to make ends meet. Having just failed to pay my mortgage this month I have nothing but contempt for this government. I blame them directly for this state of affairs. If I’d run my house hold budget like they’d run the country’s I’d have been evicted long ago. When I read people on this site saying it’s wrong to gloat or mock Brown over his eye sight I couldn’t disagree more. That bastard and his socialist policies have caused no end of pain for myself and my family. I wish, with every fibre of my being, that he suffers immense pain before going blind, he deserves nothing less. Then I read that someone with ‘coordinator’ or ‘out reach’ in their job title earns not just more than me but twice as much and also has a gold plated pension at my expense. I wonder why I bother. My biggest regret is not emigrating with my young family before they settled in school. I listen to those who call for Brown to stand aside, I look over his shoulder and what do I see? A career politician who’s bitter and twisted about being born a woman and is consumed with penis envy. An ex post office union official who’s made a good living out of being over promoted. And the privately educated son of a socialist who thinks it’s a jolly jape to bring a banana to work when he’s the fucking foreign secretary! If I could be bothered I’d weep for this country.
Traitorous socialist scum the lot of them, not forgetting the media that support them.
I am sorry to say you are right.
I think you’ve said it all, I’m in the same boat myself. If it weren’t for the fact that all politicians, not just New Labour, are self serving scum we might havce some hope. I have none.
Poor chap. I hope he gets better. If only he’d kept half an eye on public spending!
So the one eyed jock is going to have to pay back money himself, looks like a shit week ahead for one eyed mong boy, what with the Telegraph story about Damien Green’s dodgy arrest and all.
So expect the BBC to come out in full force to attack the Tories once again, the pointless references to the Duck House whilst giving the REAL corruption (nearly all Labour) a pass.
Even Toilets Maguire was spinning the “Labour have more MPs so they will have more in the shit” crap.
Fuck off toilets you big nosed geordie bastard
Oh good, i hope the fucking lying stupid incompetant jock twat walks out in front of a bus, and he’s holding the hands of all of the lying thieving bastards in the cabinet.
Aye.
This is the man who cannot claim his expenses properly ( at best) and runs the country. Has one eye and problems with the other. He would not be allowed to drive a train.
BREAKING NEWS: Gordon Brown nominated for 2009 Taking The Piss prize.
Much as I hate NuLab I’d find it difficult to bring myself to vote for Cameron though. All this stuff Osborne has come out with about us all being in this together and raising the retirement age to 66 – not a word about MPs’ pensions being cut though, and it means those near retirement now, who have probably contributed the most in tax take over the years, are the ones that are going to be penalised the most.
Gordon Brown is all tactics – always has been, always will be. Is the current admission about his eyesight yet another ploy by him to fend off another challenge to his leadership? Afterall, who in the Labour Party would be so bold as to mount a challenge against him at a moment when he’s attempting to win the sympathy of the votting electorate.
TWO YEARS after he bottled an election on the basis that he wanted to show us his vision for Britain, maybe this is why he hasn’t been able to show us one.
(Note: this comment got deleted from The Times website last night. Do your worst, Guido!)
Maybe the normall people who have the same problem, would like to send their name to sky and the press so they get a mention as well, how many years will they have to wait to be serviced by robbo NHS. big Deal bruwn
