Kaminski : “New Statesman’s Shoddy Journalism”
Almost every time Guido writes about James Macintyre an email arrives in the inbox complaining about everything from mis-spelling his name to not giving the whole truth. Once he complained bitterly that some nuance was wrong (that he hadn’t formally applied for a job with Ed Miliband, but had been considered for a SpAd job with Miliband and was furious when he discovered that his close buddy Derek Draper told Ed not to hire him – if you are really interested).
The tone is often: “Are you going to correct that o’ fearless truth seeker? Or just bathe in inaccuracy as ever? Which one?”
Macintyre’s journalism, such as it is, and Guido is in a position to verify this with documentary evidence, often amounts to little more than emailing a Labour spin doctor, and asking them have they “got any dirt”. He was not so long ago sniffing (pardon the pun) around for cocaine-related dirt on Cameron. Fair enough, Guido is in no position to criticise Macintyre for muck-racking. This was the manner in which he got his famous “Obama thinks Cameron is a lightweight” line. It was fed to him.
Macintyre has been pushing the Labour spin line that Michael Kaminski, the Tory ally in the European parliament, is some kind of anti-semitic, far-right extremist. Some have been urging Kaminski to sue the New Statesman, Kaminski tells Iain Dale in this month’s Total Politics
What I’m facing here in the UK is not only a very disappointing standard of political debate, but very disappointing standards of journalism. Rabbi Schudrich made a statement about the allegations in this magazine. He sent them a statement and they ignored it. They didn’t print it. Rabbi Schudrich made it very clear that he didn’t want to make any political statements about me, but he wanted to make clear that he has nothing against me and does not regard me as an anti-Semite. Come on. Just recently, I came back from Israel where I was received at the top level of government. I had my statement posted on the Israeli ministry of foreign affairs. The Israeli ambassador to Brussels accepted my invitation to visit our group next week; can you imagine that the Israeli state would receive me if they had any doubts about my attitude towards the Jewish people and the state of Israel?
Now it is clear that either Kaminski or Macintyre are not telling the whole truth, and the Rabbi is the one in a position to settle this outright once and for all. The word is that Rabbi Schudric is going to make a definitive statement.

Keep it up Guido
On this site anything positive about Labour is dissed into the ground, and anyone who says anything supportive gets the same treatment. But, any excuse to talk up or high-five anything positive about their chosen product is seized on like an alchoholic returning to the whiskey. Show some doubt and they never attack you but smooch in the hope you’ll join their team.

Precisely what can you say in support of Labour?
They are excellent campaigners for the Conservative Party…
It comes a time where even liberal systems are abused and when the line is crossed the abusers must be punished – and so it is with this grathopper guy … sure it’s easy to just not read the posts as he handily tops and tails them the same but the ‘noise’ level is past acceptable and guidodolby needs applying.
This attacking of Kaminski is just totally unacceptable… it’s one thing for our government to attack us, we can always just not vote for them – but for them to throw somethingist slurs towards a foreign MP is so far past the line of acceptability the grathopper guy just appears as a speck in the distance.
We can just throw poo at James Macintyre – he’ll get the hint eventually.
positive things to say about Labour
They only lie 95% of the time, positive enough??
CEH
Please get a life. Failing that at least try to get a point.
This is a LIBERTARIAN blog, not a Conservative Party lovefeast.
If Cameron plays by the straight and narrow, he will not only get support, he will richly deserve to get it.
If not then I am perfectly assured that Guido, and certainly myself will unmercifully flail him from tit to toe. Forgive us for doing what you find ideologically impossible to do, which is to keep an open mind.
Cameron talks the right talk, we will soon see it he ever intended to walk the right walk. We have seen with our own eyes, and paid though our collective noses for Blair and Brown’s lies, we do not intend to be picking up any more tabs. Our pockets are bare, while our patience for tribal ideologues like yourself evaporated long ago.
Our political class are all a bunch of Fascists, some more then others. However I find it hard to understand how people like yourself sleep at all, never mind well.
There are NO excuses, for in your face institutionalised authoritarianism. People like yourself can’t blame The Daily-Mail for your overt control freakery forever.
You are a C.U.N.T. pure and simple. What is more, we ALL know you are, whether we agree with each other about anything else, or not.
Right on Atlas. What Charlie Hard-On seems to be angry about is that we don’t like the nu-liebour politicans who have lied to us, who spin and smear the likes of General Dannatt or David Kelly, who promised us a referendum then ducked it, who allow their Attorney general to break the law and claim horrendous expenses but do nothing about it, do I need to go on.
Cameron may be the same, but so far he has played a straight bat and whilst i might disagree with the odd policy idea, he is bringing back a sense of honesty and decency.
Charlie, don’t worry, if “Dave” short changes us he will get the same treatment, but I suggest you tell you masters at Liebour HQ that they need to put their own house in order before the public get off their backs. They brought it on themselves
Oy Vey!
This should be nailed once and for all.
I’ve run into people like Cameron before. I know his type. They’re full of the steel jawed hero when having cups of tea with old grannies but totally impervious to realities especially when it goes against the party line. He’s over-promoted lobby-fodder: a rote learner and quite petty.
Be sti11, gr@$$h0pper.
I think instead of Cameron you meant to say Brown. Your description fits gordon so exactly.
I think he meant Cameron
I thought the last words were ‘and quite pretty’ on the first read. It was much more amusing and enjoyable this way, try it.
I’ve never met an old Etonian; I do not mix in those circles like Charles. I’m just a simple lad from t’North.
I’ve seen them on the tele though. They wear top hats and they speak frightfully posh. When they laugh they sound like a horse. I am informed that they are all worth millions and that my only function in life is to be exploited by them.
My local Labour MP said if I voted for him he would take all the ‘ away from them and give it to me and sad bastards like me. And I wouldn’t have to work all I had to do was vote for him.
Now, several years later, things are much worse. When I asked my MP what went wrong he said there is an economic crisis but don’t worry vote again and we’ll do what we promised 12 years ago. Then he asked me to pass him his fine hat and he laughed. Like a horse.
Be still, my arse.
Oooh goody, so they’ll not only be whiter than white but be seen to be whiter than white? Education, education, education means something better than killing student grants the minute they are in power? No more boom and bust? Electoral reform promised to keep the libdems quiet, then instantly ditched when in power?
Oh go on then, I’ll give ‘em the benefit of the doubt as long as they really mean it this time.
Grannies don’t spend their time drinking tea nowadays – what planet do you live on? We’re also a good judge of character and David Cameron is top notch. I suppose it must be difficult for you defending Gordon Brown.
P.S. mine’s a Scotch and Canada Dry
Some people want to “win” so much that they forget proper form and attitude. No lie is too big. No punch is too low. Osborne and Cameron’s position is a shocking abuse of their status.
My view is that the “Brown Plan” addresses the issues while Osborne and Cameron continue to traitor themselves and do damage to real peoples lives.
Be sti11, gr@$$h0pper.
They are all equal traitors when it comes to attempting or temporarily giving away the gov’nance of our Nations and Country
there’s a plan?. Brown has a plan?, good lord….aand this is it?. silly me . I just thought it was an over promoted ex-marxist ex-tv producer out of his depth, flailing around spending other peoples money in the hope something will turn up. Just shows how wrong you can be.
And fomenting lie after lie about the Tories, in complete contrast to HandlesHisWidget’s OP!
Everyone said ZaNuLieBor would get even dirtier approaching the next GE. I guess that there are even more skeletons they don’t want to come out of the closet than we thought!
How will Muckintyre spin the 17 point lead 44/27/17?
http://www.yougov.co.uk/today/
What the hell is that Hardwotsits on this place again for? He had his chance and now is splurting again…oy vey!
Is he needed or did he he just creep in under the radar and start spouting while Guido was in the car going South?
So the whole spidery fingers of the MSM/Nuliebour love-in becomes more and more exposed
Must be something when even the MSM won’t give them credibility
And let’s not forget that militwit also leapt in to smear Mr Kaminski as anti-semitic. Where did his ‘evidence’ come from for such a claim? Mr McIntyre perhaps?
Not exactly the professional standard of behaviour we should expect from our Foreign Secretary.
Time for some new plumbing, Euorseptics tanks, it’s all starting to pong.
The creation of the ECR has been a huge risk for David Cameron, brought about because he needed to provide some “red meat” to the Eurosceptics in his party. In the final irony, though, it turns out that Mr Kaminski is himself an enthusiastic Europhile who has embraced the Lisbon Treaty so hated by the right-wing of the British Conservative Party. “I was on the side of those who were in favour of the Lisbon Treaty. It is well known in Poland. It is not a secret.”
Our Foreign Secretary is a bloody embarrassment and thank fuck he will be out of a job soon.
Labour have not had a decent foreign secretary since the late, great Anthony Crosland.
Full ashtray
Apparently Kaminski campaigned against Poland apologising for a mob of Poles murdering Jews in a place called Jedwabne.
He doesn’t deny it.
Jedwabne is a town in the north-east of Poland which was the site of a massacre of hundreds of its Jewish inhabitants in July 1941 by a mob of Poles. Sixty years later, the then Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski issued an apology for the atrocity, but the issue was hugely divisive.
free the Chorlton Chump
we demand better quality trolls than this
dreamer
MB = anagram of “I baster mater”
Should we the British people apologize for the atrocities committed in Iraq against the Iraqi people?
PS
resurge is right. Bring back the old MB – he had some repartee!
Although the Iraqis are Semites the term has been hijacked by Jews who gleefully accuse Arabs of being antisemitic.
Racism is wrong.
Twaddle
Don’t think racism is as bad as death tho is it? Chump
Where do you get your crap from, Mastur Bator, the septic tanks of your earlier post?
Which shitty hand feeds you the bile you pour out on here? It is clear you can’t find it yourself because you are as thick as pigshit.
Go and jerk off somewhere else. Please!
If Britain is to be a better and kinder place, there’s a role for big government and media, but an everyday role for ourselves. We might not stop wars, put off recessions, or save lives but every little helps.
By admitting our mistakes and hostilities to ourselves, perhaps, we can be less arrogant and hurtful. This is key to what Buddhism calls correct action. It’s not much but, I think, it’s key to making a difference.
Be sti11, gr@$$h0pper.
You’re right. Vote UKIP
You can’t get bigger government than 60 million individuals
Charles you just don’t get it. Government does not make the nation kinder. It soaks up precious resources, squanders on initiatives where the shirkers get more than the needy.
If you want kindness and considereation devolve all the do gooding to local communities, special interest groups and shrink government. Local communities will be far better at seeing the truth of a situation than a bunch of bureaucrats sipping Chablis in Whitehall.
“Socialism is a great idea until you run out of other peoples money” and you have run out. Hard choices need to be made and I don’t agree with every choice Cameron proposes but I agree with more than I disagree with and that’s why he is the man for now.
Liebour has squandered our resources and thrown good money after bad. It is the waste in the name of a headline that is criminal and your lot have spent billions to little effect.
It’s time for someone else to have a go, they can’t do a worse job
As a occasional viewer of these comments does anybody read the postings of Charles_E_Hardw1dge ?
I just skim over them as burble, is this acceptable?
Perfectly acceptable to just ignore. It’s pure paste repetition and void of meaning.
If you can afford the time, I suppose it is.
Perfectly!
So is Jams McIntire the snide, sneering “Jimmy” who sometimes graces this blog with his observations?
That’s fighting talk mister.
Kaminski is head of Dave Komodo, lizard lips, flicking tongue and stupendous combover’s feted European Parliament grouping.
He’s a Europhile and in favour of the Lisbon Treaty.
Yvette Cooper party pooper
Anybody who doesn’t wholeheartedly support Israel’s numerous crimes gets libelled as an “anti-semite”. “Chosen people” are much more sensitive to questioning than normal ones.
So is Rabbi Shudric the person who gets to decide definitively whether someone is an anti-semite? Was there some sort of meeting?
Besides, the accusation against Kaminski is jew-baiting. What his real feelings about jews are is something only he really knows.
Rabbi Shudric? Who he. I think it’s about time Rabbi Blue showed his true colour.
Macintyre is only slightly less of a fuckwit than Macquire.
These shower have no hesitation who they smear as racist, bigoted or discriminatory whether it be old ladies in hospital, admissions boards at uni`s,those who question border controls. As always,it says more about the accuser than the accused.Identity politics has always been a thing the left practise to PROVE they love the human being, the lady doth protest too much methinks!
They ‘love’ the human being as long as the said does not object to being patronised and refuse to tow the party line.
Marginally off topic but interesting information.
Czech President Klaus said today he will not sign the Lisbon “Constitution” until the Czechs get an opt-out to prevent Germans expelled from Czechoslovakia after the war claiming their property by going directly to the European Court of Justice and by-passing the Czech courts.
The Germans will not like that as they have political movements agitating to reclaim the lands lost by their forefathers in both Poland and the Czech Republic during Stalin’s expulsions after the war.
And the Czech government are threatening to impeach Klaus.
Blair Dave may yet be held to his word.
So the tories strategy is tied up with a campaign to defend the state’s right to expropriate private property without compensation?
These Cameroons certainly wear their ideology lightly don’t they?
Wrong again Jimmy. The point is the overriding of a national court by the European court. There is nothing to stop a Czech court returning “expropriated” property to their lawful owners. But the point is that the Czech court should take primacy.
Of course you knew that, but in the typical Nuliebor way of spin you sought to obfuscate this point.
Both the UK and Poland have negotiated opt-outs to prevent their courts from being circumvented by the European Court.
Yes, Guido. And Macintyre will obviously be found innocent of all charges of being a shoddy, dirt dealing journalist, based, naturally, on his history… of… Oh… wait… Bugger! Macintyre is toast, isn’t he?
“There is nothing to stop a Czech court returning “expropriated” property to their lawful owners.”
Nothing to stop them refusing either, which is rather more pertinent. And likely.
Is this the same Mik Kaminski , who was famous for his blue violin in the Electric Light Orchestra and had a solo hit with “Clogdance” ?
The public have a right to know!
Did you see that other Miliband on Newsnight last night delighted that the fuel bill were going to rise 60% sitting there grinning like a Chesire cat just blurbing on and on with no concern whatsoever on how people are going to pay this.so long as he has his green policy.
Quite honestly we are being run bu a bunch of nutters.
Mac untyre (there’s a spelling mistake he really can complain about!) and Toilets are the worst Labour shills in the media. There are plenty of others (Polly, Steve Richards, Jackie Ashley, Baroness Michael White, Mary Riddell and so on) but these two appear to have no common sense – just parrotting the party line even when it makes them look total ddickheads.
Kind of a media mirror image to the role of Ed Balls in the party itself.
