In the video above of Farage berating the European parliament, the MEP who is sitting back laughing is Daniel Cohn-Bendit. He is an excerpt from his Wikipedia entry.

While Fischer was more concerned with demonstrations, Cohn-Bendit worked in the Karl-Marx-Buchhandlung bookshop and ran a kindergarten (of children between five and eight years' old). Later in 2001 he was accused of paedophilia. This accusation was grounded on the following citation from his 1975 book Le Grand Bazar, [1]: "On several occasions certain kids would open my fly and start to stroke me. I reacted differently according to circumstances, but their desire posed a problem for me. I asked them: 'Why don't you play together? Why have you chosen me, and not the other kids?' But if they insisted, I caressed them still.[2]"
On the 31 January 2001 in the Berlin newspaper [3] published open letter to Cohn-Bendit from the former German Foreign Minister, Klaus Kinkel, demanding Cohn-Bendit clarify whether there was actual physical contact with the children. The Berliner Zeitung published Cohn-Bendit's response. He said that he was "not aware of the problem" (“das Problem nicht bewusst”). "We tried," ..."a collective discourse of a new sexual morality yet to be defined"( “in einem kollektiven Diskurs eine neue Sexualmoral zu definieren”). The reported sex scenes, were a "me-oriented self-reflection" (“ich-bezogene Selbstreflexion”). Cohn-Bendit, did not say there was no sexual contact with children. When interviewed on the 28 January 2001 by The Observer[4] Cohn-Bendit told the journalist, “I admit that what I wrote is unacceptable nowadays.”
In the 1980s the Greens experimented with various policies which would decriminalise sex with children. At its national conference in Lüdenscheid (March 1985) the Greens in North Rhine-Westphalia called for "nonviolent sexuality" between children and adults never to be subject to criminal prosecution. In 1987 the policy was "When young people have the desire for older peers outside the family, prevented either because their homosexuality is not accepted by their parents, or because they have paedophile inclinations, be it for other reasons, they must be given the opportunity to do so." [5].

The great thing about when someone takes an abortive stab at a witty putdown and it comes out as plodding and predictable as that (603), is that we can stoop to your level and tell you you are a twunt guilt-free!

Mr Engineer, I have re-read post as advised, from what I gather you are implying that the solution involves British people doing the jobs that the Europeans and others do at present.

I am in full agreement with you, as the stat is about 80% of all jobs created under N.L. have not gone to the British. But the reality on the ground, is that we are in the EU, and nothing can alter the 'flow of workers' laws and rights. Let's deal with is instead of if.

Yes, slavery is illigal, so are a lot of things that actually happen, the principle of working for nothing or practically nothing, is why I use the word slavery. I am not alone, this term was used in a Westminster select commitiee Q&A session on the subject of immigration in the UK.

Unsafe jobs, the life expectancy factor for manual workers is 15 - 20 years less than a quango pen pusher job. I never said HSE were there to kill people, I am quotting Nat Stats based on death certificsates.

Hard work. I've done plenty of 70 hour weeks in the past, and seen some truely awful legal working conditions. The BBC have done quite a few reports on the awful conditions for polish workers, things are not that rosy.

Your last paragra is about the impression I left you with, I do not hold any of the views you list, I am pro-work and onwards and upwards we go, I just want to earn more than a survival rations.

"Why should hard-working people subsidise the lazy?"

They should not, in a perfect world. But letting them starve to death in the streets, whilst handing out 10 Billion in foreign aid, is a little ungrateful, given their linage and WWi & WWII sacrifices. Remember ?

My statement about not being a white slave is similiar, you resent free loaders, I resent the freeloader exploitation system.

e.g. Stawberry sells for £1.68 at Wimbledon (each).

Euro worker gets paid £2 to pick 10 Kilo of strawberries.

Excessive profits for the sharholders, excessive poverty for the cotton picker. £2 per 10 Kilo comes from R4 program about it.

Still not your (£2 per 10 Kilo) cotton picker, and never will be. Make it worth doing, re-adjust the £1.68 per strawberry profit, and I might be tempted.

Unfortunately, they don't fit any of those criteria.

We were in Oxford a short while ago. Bearing in mind that its University is attended by people from all over the world, we had trouble hearing english spoken at all.

Most of the pubs, restaurants, cafe's and the hotel we stayed at were all staffed by people from elsewhere. A lot of people in the streets were also foreign.

you are so right Frank

it's good to see your equalitarian qualities come to the fore

tell me,

how come, in the small office, the young man with a learning disability is ignored by all the women because they think he's weird?

how come the disabled woman in the training team always gets the training jobs with disabled people?

how come the senior director with bi-polar disorder never gets the top job his experience and training suits him for?

What's st paul got to do with anything?

@ jgm2

Impossible mathematical question ignored as usual, and I don't watch any trisha type crap.

Is it my fault you feel like a slave ? I am responsible, but the MPs that made the situation are in the clear as usual.

Back to the never ever acknowledged 600 000 / 5 000 000 = 1 factor again. Face this reality please.

I would like to see bigger fairer slices of pie for those that deserve it, and less pie for the snouts in trough, do very little for it types, a fairer distribution of wealth throughout society for real, not bullshit communism, but a less glaring contrast that resembles the 21st slave trade.
