John Higginson of the Metro explains Quantitative Easing:
“There is £100 and 100 loaves of bread costing £1 each. QE creates another £100. Each loaf now costs £2.”

Maybe if they really wanted to “decontaminate the Labour brand” with business people, they shouldn’t have totally buggered up the economy?
Just a thought.

Hope your CRB checked!
Not with that 20 year old photo, surely.
Earlier than that, I think we still had an empire when that photo was taken.
Once Britain was an empire ruled by an emperor. Then it was a kingdom ruled by a king. Now it is a country ruled by a
Gordon Brown.
++Golf clap++
Countryside, the assissination of Gordoom Bruin
Not even sure it is a country any more!
But it will certainly be ruled by a hoon when Emperor Boney Tony takes over!
Gordon Brown Rules by:
Lord Mandelson of Foy and Hartlepool. master of silly Talk etc., etc.,
can we expect the in-depth look at the Lobbyists troughing at the conference you promised Guido ?
Give the man a chance, he hasn’t had time to make his excuses and leave yet.
Nice to a cens0r in the flesh – even if it is an old pic (whaddya expect). Were you abused as a child GF – it certainly looks like it, with your victim’s half-grin so apparent.
What a nice looking chap, and a nice manicured nail too.
Hey, Saddo Schlitz, is it true Harriet Harman used to be your defence lawyer back in the 70′s?
That is a picture of Manchester Museum under construction during 1912 and the shot was taken by a Sanderson Mk1 camera around that time.
Looks more like the Library to me – the Museum hides (or hid when I was a lad) under a big arch in the University.
So the blokes checking passes on the gates are blinder than a Blunkett then?
That’s the problem with ID cards, they can provide a false sense of security.
I like the tactical thumb placement…
FFS How many years ago was that photo taken?
have you got little Guido fawkes in tow?
That IS little Guido in the photograph
You were the future, once.
Did you have to give a fingerprint and DNA specimen?
Baroness Scotland will have it later
Guido where’s the goatee beard and tash look gone?
You looked like a pimp master with them.
Oh you do look Irish, don’t you, but more boyish than I thought.
his nickname at school was B0MBER STAINE5 and it was at Blessed Margarets High School that he first suckled a pathological hatred of authority figures who would later in life bankr@pt him – he later founded a website to vent his frustrations with politicians and others of that ilk upon. All in all, a very sad case altogether and a fantascist beyond the scope of current treatment modalities.
What happened to Jacqui Smith’s fingerprints? Still working with the sellotape?
Alastair Darling to announce a public sector pay freeze tomorrow.
Obviously to trash Osborne’s finest hour.
Will anyone fall for this?
I think not. If the Torys bat this back skillfully then Labour may go down LBW.
To be quite frank I am startled that Darling agreed to pull such an obvious and cheap trick. I thought he was made of better stuff.
What, Brown’s sock puppet has a brain of his own? Just how fucking gullible are you?
This must mean deflation next then
The three good things about this is;
1.Labour have shot themselves in the foot for any future attack on the tories as it is them who have frozen public sector pay.
2. Public sector workers will turn against Labour
3. The BBC will die sooner than later, as people with frozen wages and people losing jobs will refuse to pay the tv tax.
The big story of conference so far must be the blatant bias of AlJaBeebe including Threadbare Brillo
In fact Paxman makes my blood boil. He is a collaborator of the first order, VD&Bar actually.
AlJaBeeBa must be in panic, good
Referendum and an end to subsidised socialist propoganda
you know it makes sense Dave, and imagine the landslide, and if you are an honourable man, who knows, a place above Tony and Gordon in English history
And it has the hidden benefit of pissing off the unions! Class act that, Darling. And it is arms length from Gordon Brown…
Damn, when I saw the thread title, I was hoping it was about some development in the Harperson parking incident case.
If that is a true ID card old chap you must have changed your name by deed poll a CRB check would allow you to used an alias, still they do make mistakes, who else is wandering about with an alias in CP conference.
Why the photo of Toby Maguire, though – any web-based snares planned?
Anyone with small children has stopped biting their nails due to nappy changing a long, long time ago.
It’s a hoax.
Is the grey real?
It’s a disguise. Badger style just like Darling
and he’s wearing a wetsuit
He’s just eaten the Milk Tray he was supposed to be delivering.
Ha ha I enjoyed that!
I feel a lookie-likee competition coming on…

Ah NOW we are nearer Bertie Bassett. Love the long thin liquorice ones.
I thought it was Cherie Blair in one of her therapy-sessions – “Does my tum look big in this?”
Takes me back to my old nan’s favourite series:

Great spot Dack!!
Very good very good
Guido is not as thin as he used to be…
And not as modest.
Just watched a repeat of Boris’ speech. Some of us have to go to work to pay off Labour massive debts, you know. It was brilliant stuff from the Mayor of London.
“If we can cut cost in City Hall, George then you can cut cost in Whitehall as you promise to do.”
“Get rid of the nonsense, but don’t chop the investments essential to the UK economy; Cut the baby-sitting monitors, but don’t cut Crossrail; Cut the baby-sitting monitor human resources department, but don’t cut the tube upgrades; Cut the baby-sitting monitor equal opportunities action day but don’t cut the great projects and investments that will deliver jobs and growth now and make London more attractive for generations to come.”
Great pay-off line from Boris.
The Conservative Government will give you your money’s worth…and they’ll give you change as well.
Boris speech – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ed2l399IlWQ
very old joke.
Jasper CarrottL “I see Hoddle’s found God. Must have been one hell of a pass.”
Only the nation’s 34th most influential right-winger? Surely Guido must have more influence than non-entities like Greg Clark, Andrew Lansley, Dominic Grieve and Jeremy Hunt?
BBC Newsnight email:
BBC, Subliminally giving away where they stand?
LMAO!
Submitted for consideration as Quote of the Day.
Boris about the Mayors’ Team.
“Many of them are becoming famous in their own right – and mostly for the right reasons”
“The convention is that I ask the questions, but never mind.”
that line is as old as Paxo’s sneer
standard interview technique number#7
“The convention is that I ask the questions, but never mind I will also constantly interrupt your answers if you’re a Tory.”
Stand by for the riposte “True, but it’s also the convention that you ask pertinent and sensible questions, and don’t descend to partisan yaa-boo politics.”
why the skirt lifting and squealing now when Mandy was told the same thing several times when he was attempting to posture ?
didn’t notice the outrage then oddly enough
sauce for the goose
Skirt lifting? h not k if we are talking about Lord Voldemandy.
Chimping at the bot.
… and I heard a programme today on 5 live that sounded as though it might need a little reviewing in the light of possible political bias. Chaired by a presenter who seemed to me to have some difficulty in keeping down a sense of deep cynicism about the guest tory, on occasion she barely let him complete a clause, let alone a sentence.
A student asked why this particular tory (I’m sorry, I can’t remember who) had labelled moss side as akin to ‘the wire’, which got huge applause and whoops of delight from what seemed to have been an audience less then balanced. Silence followed when the student had to admit that he hadn’t actually read the speech in question – which hadn’t done that at all – but had been going on sound bites.
Whose, I wonder…?
Time for a public enquiry into the political weighting given by the BBC to their news and current affairs presentations. But not just a short term one-off one; if I were David, I would gather some bright academics (Glasgow have a good unit) and task them with establishing a ‘blind’ means of measuring political editorial approach and weighting in current affairs programmes – identifying the ‘house views’. It can be done; I devised a system for measuing other aspects of programme content in the 1900s.
I’d then invite a team to chart sample programmes going back twenty years. A good team could do this in about six months. Once the methodology was established, I’d then ask them to do the same with BBC comedy.
I’d then publish the report and pass legislation to put the BBC directly under Offcom for complaints relating to Political bias.
And watch the fines mount until they got the hang of proper impartiality.
Anonymous.
Paxo,s not in the same league as Boris,he may come over as a fool but is far smarter than than he acts.
Paxo a well heeled loud mouthed plonker.
Did anyone read this properly? If you missed it, I shall emphasise it:
The Fucking BBC subliminally letting slip who they REALLY support!
so it was fine when Mandy was told the same thing but now it’s biased?
whining hypocrites
I saw this too before the Newsnight trailer spam was consigned to the junk folder…
BBC News editorial are coming apart at the seams.
Guido have you bumped into Toilets Maguire yet, according to Iain Dale he’s slithering around the Tory Conference? Please give him my regards (he’s a fucking big nose thick fucking Commie geordie wanker) and a head butt.
Guido won’t bump into Mc Guire unless he goes into the ladies by mistake.
He’s a sand-dancer not a Geordie, hence the conk.
Please explain
If that’s your thumb Fawkes, you have an healthy liver and there’s no feckin’ justice.;-)
How the hell do you tell the condition of someone’s liver by their thumb and even more so, by a blurred picture of their thumb?
There is a wealth of info on t’internet re: fingernails as an indicator of hepatic and other health. Clearly an LFT is better, but that thumb displays an healthy lunula. They can be entirely absent in the case of a cirrhotic liver.
OMG. What’s lunula. Is it the white crescent shaped thing at the bit near the knuckle?
It is anon, but don’t listen to me – I’m not a real Doctor. More the Berkeleh sort.
I paint mine on
Blimey. My right thumb lunula (?) is great – but there’s none at all on my left….does that mean half my liver’s shot….??
Try drinking with your other hand.
This is not a conservative blog.
Wrong blog. You want Liberal Conspiracy.
All our Noo_Lie_Bore noos progs are carefully vetted to ensure compliance with the Party Line.
and I am reliably informed that GB is composed of bare rock.
That’s why we show it like that on the wevva bulletins.
You mean like Rockall? Covered in birdshit and fequently swamped by stormy conditions?
actually I’ve never been outdoors to see . . . but that’s what they tell me.
I wonder if they should draw b.s. on the map to make it more realistic?
Some people say GB is a green and pleasant land, but I don’t believe them. They never mentioned that in our Diversity and PC classes.
You were mistaken for a tory?
Imagine that.
that went over everyones heads, Your Smugness
I’m used to it.
Boris is a lesson to any politician. Watch his interview with Brillo, who did his job as always, unlike the standard beeboid types. Never lost his sense of humour and managed to give the impression that some of the questions couldn’t or shouldn’t be answered too precisely, which, by suggesting there wasn’t a hook, removed the need or him to get off it.
I hope Brillo does the televised debates, he is highly competent and non partisan; apparently a difficult commodity for the BBC to find, although I should have imagined a decent firm recruiters could have a dozen lining up in a fortnight.
“… he is highly competent and non partisan”
By ‘non-partisan’ you mean you approve of his Tory bias. Like our parish councillors – they are all local businessmen, landowners and farmers – Tories to a man but they stand as Independents.
I haven’t noticed Brillo cutting the Tories any slack, but of course you may be right, bias is sometimes difficult to spot in oneself.
That must be really painful for you, having a group of over-achievers creaming off all the votes so you can’t win a seat. whatever are the locals thinking of, electing solid citizens rather than wannabees?
Marr and Brown must watch that interview and weep over the interview techniques that neither have managed to master.
Brown wasn’t doing very well against Sian Williams last week. Is her demolition of McHasbeen on You Tube?
Just wondering if Brown has ever been interviewed by either Neil or Paxman?
Too busy getting on with the jobbies.
Almost as good as Sophie Raworth’s hatchet job on Mandelson last year when she deputised for Marr when he was on his holidays – Mandelson was taken abackhat a “slip of a gal” actually asked him difficult questions or actually queried what he was telling her unlike Andy. The High Panjandrum and Noble First Lord Secetray of State was NOT amused at Sophie’s “lese majeste” and lack of proper respect-it was worth the TV licence just to see Mandelson’s face !!!!!
abackhat ? I must control myself I was getting excited at the thought of Sophie I meant of course “aback that”. Apologies for typo
Like a lot of gays, he can only compute, woman = mummy or sometimes, woman = gay icon.
So that’s what a Saga Holiday Club Membership Card looks like
I see Guido has his thumb over the endorsement “Access to Bar and Hospitality Areas Denied”.
But the BBC is still telling us all that Europe is splitting the conference!
If you bump into Robinson tell him to change his needle!
And that tourniquet is so passe.
“Tippex Features” lifted that photo from his unused account at Friends Reunited
The Beeb prepared a Euro Split story for the evening news but there was no Euro Split so the ran the story anyway.
And they ignored great speeches from Boris and Hague.
So which Cluedo character did you use for the photo?
Mr Brown, in the closet on a rocking horse?
OMG! Guido has a woman’s hands
Can’t be Brown: the thumbnail is present and intact.
and snotless
Looks like he used to chew his nails as a kid though.
Let’s have a nice sing-song round the fire!
I’ll wager those dainty pinkies have never fondled the envelope of an expense claim.
I wager those pretty digits have never had to tie knot in a piece of string to fight off the dreaded spindly killer fish !.
Last time I saw a photo like that, Shaw Taylor was still doing Police 5 and saying “Keep ‘em peeled!”.
Last time I saw a photo like that was on the Avengers before they became the new Avengers
He still looks like Shaw Taylor. Born 1926
“Keep ‘em peeled” eh OH – ah, those were the days…..
From Al Beeb:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8289962.stm
“Trade union leader Jack Jones was briefly considered by the Soviet KGB as one of their agents, according to an official history of MI5.
The book says he only passed on Labour party documents, not secrets, and was last paid by the Russians in 1984.”
So that’s all OK then?
Perhaps some ‘researcher’ or intern has been told to spend the day reading Defence of The Realm by Christopher Andrew in a search for new smears on The Tories.
However, it shows that Jones was always a four letter fellow, in Cockney slang, he is a right Holman.
Only briefly? MI5 must have been shite in those days, little wonder the unions took over the country.
The trade union movement was not about mere countries and nationalism which is.. er.. incidently only for toffs…comrades…as for the money was put to the cause..I was not the only one anyways…
Usefil Idiot.
A very important thing to remember about secret services is that they are not only VERY secretive, they are always very highly departmentalised, just like the BBC which is crawling alive with MI5. so much in fact that one BBC MI5 agent would not acknowledge another BBC MI5 agent, even if they had been married to each other for 20 years.
This means that not even the head of the secret services knows what is really going on in all departments and so can control them even less. This was clearly the case as late as the eighties, and it still is now.
We knew back then that the the trades Unions and CND were being funded by Soviet cash. We knew this ONLY because MI5 through the BBC told us that they were being financed by the Soviets. They needed to say something, because they needed an excuse for the deliberate leaking of western industrial and military secrets to the Soviets in order to keep this whole poverty perpetuating Cold War scam going as long as they could keep it credible.
Of course what the BBC did not tell us, ( because MI5 did not instruct the BBC to tell us, which was also something that many at MI5 suspected at the time ) was that it was painfully obvious that the £’s and $’s came from somewhere, and that place was not a Russian printing press.
Where does ALL money come from, and why does the entire world attach the same importance, and value to it, whether they claim to be living in of fighting for a Communist country or a Capitalist one?
Answer. The worlds central banks, under the direction of the owners of The International Bank, The IMF, and The BIS.
Therefore our own BRITISH establishment indirectly financed the Labour Movement, along with Cold War. While of course more directly financing The Conservative as well as the Liberal, Republican and Democrat parties, MI5 and 6, and a whole lot more besides, including the entire world armament industries, communist China, and Castros Cuba.
You may remember a statement made by G.Bush very shortly after 9/11. When he proclaimed that American British and World Banks were to freeze the assets, and Bank accounts of terrorist organisations. This claiming that it was essential for the free world to control International terrorism by taking away the money that financed their ‘EVIL.’ No money No terrorism.
Which seemed very logical at the time, mainly because it was. It is a known fact that without internationally valued cash, you cant do anything internationally, of the either seemingly good or murderously evil kind.
Therefore we need to urgently ask ourselves this question.
As we know that Jack-shit, never mind Cold Wars or very expensive International spy networks are sustainable without a Bank willing to lend, transfer or accept internationally valued currency, backed by national assets, like gold, diamonds, oil, or future tax revenue.
Why did we not simply withdraw Soviet Credit and bring in trade sanctions against the Soviet Union, or indeed Nazi Germany. In stead of borrowing and spending 10′s of Trillions, and wasting billions of peoples lives though resultant third world starvation, highly preventable Ist and 2nd World Poverty, paying through the nose to NOT fight a completely make believe, never was going to happen, Cold War?
Answer: Because the people who have controlled the worlds banking system since 1913, were, and still are making one hell of a lot of POWER for themselves, and their very powerful, and highly influential clients.
*yawn*
Yeah – but what about the lizards?
Ever considered that David Icke might have been spiked?…..
“Answer: Because the people who have controlled the worlds banking system since 1913, were, and still are making one hell of a lot of POWER for themselves, and their very powerful, and highly influential clients.”
Spot on Atlas and of course, I never forget 1694 – the year the Bank of “England” was created. . .
WANTED
“Have you seen this man.
Do not approach him.
He is dangerous in a ‘QWERTY’ kind of way.”
Aw leave the lad alone,he’s deserves his freebies this year.
I expect Guido to get completely plastered and then arrested with the only ID on him being his conference pass. That’d confuse Gene (you bastard).
And all because the lady loves Milk Tray
BBC Now running this breaking news spoiler….sorry I meant news
Public sector pay freeze unveiled
Chancellor Alistair Darling announces a pay freeze on senior civil servants, NHS and managers and GPs.
I presume we can expect lots of this during the Tories conference week.
More…. Pravda have a new Breaking news logo as well I don’t remember seeing before.
Chancellor Alistair Darling has written to pay review bodies calling on them to freeze the pay of judges, senior NHS managers and GPs.
He is also imposing an immediate pay freeze on senior civil servants although this does not include the military – affecting 750,000 people.
Sorry b out the third post but just spotted the error
Headline – “Public sector pay freeze unveiled”
Actual – “Chancellor Alistair Darling has written to pay review bodies calling on them to freeze the pay of judges, senior NHS managers and GPs.”
So its not a Pay freeze its a letter and he has only ‘called’ on them to do something. Totally opposite to the way a story is reported about the Tories.
Again sorry bout the 3 posts
It’s pathetic. People will see straight through this. Labour treating the electorate as fools again.
Just trying to undermine any announcements tomorrow. Breaking the unwritten conference rule.
Gosh – as even the BBC say (thanks below).
From the BBC website;
“Mr Darling’s move breaks the convention about avoiding big policy announcements during rival party conferences. ”
Expect more of the same.
Credit where it’s due to the BBC.
“Mr Darling’s move breaks the convention about avoiding big policy announcements during rival party conferences.
Shadow Chancellor George Osborne is due to deliver his keynote speech to the Conservative Party conference in Manchester on Tuesday.”
Dirty tricks. Even the BBC are reporting that Labour are breaking conventions, just as they break the law and everything else.
Never mind conventions when is Cameron going to unite his split party by annoucing a no strings attached referendum?
The last time we had a top peoples’ pay freeze the IMF were examining the books. Do you think the Badger is hiding something?
And what’s the chance of MP’s being top people? Shouldn’t Darling also be writing to the Party Leaders. the Squeaker etc?
referendum on what ?
A mole has leaked george’s speech, and darling is delivering a pre=emptive strike.
Whatever these clowns do they are still doomed.
“He is also imposing an immediate pay freeze on senior civil servants although this does not include the military – affecting 750,000 people.”
Most of whom are unlikely to vote Labour.
Tant pis, eh?
Still, what real difference will this actually make?
It’s not like it is your real name, is it?
You must be breaking a few laws there!
Well laws that apply to the small people, and not to the Labour Party hierarchy.
You must be more careful, or you will be appearing on your own blog.
PS What has happened to the latest crop of Labour Lawbreakers? Are they still
immune from the Laws of the Land?
Labour don’t break their law. Only we do
No laws broken, Hoodie.
Slightly O/T, so apologies.
The Tories announced something that sounded dangerously like a policy, today. They will waive the Employer’s NI contributions for the first ten employees of any new business for perhaps the first couple of years of the business’s life.
A Beeboid was heard to screech “How much will this cost?”
Now correct me if I’m wrong, but it won’t cost anything. Anything that encourages new businesses has to be a good thing, and costs are high – sometimes crippingly – in the early years of a fledgling business. If this helps businesses to survive, it could result in net gain to the taxpayer.
If the businesses are not set up in the first place, the taxpayer will gain nothing. Indeed, the taxpayer will loose, paying jobseeker’s allowance and other assorted benefits to people who would otherwise find work.
Surely this encourages entrepreneurs to start a new enterprise.
Were we not told that the majority of people are employed by small businesses?
Getting people off the dole and into a job that pays tax. NI Contributions are normally ‘paid’ when one is on the dole so surely it will increase revenue? Stand to corrected obviously.
It’s a move towards the only real job creation there is. There is no net cost just a signal to a small private start-up that there is one less charge to the cash-flow projection in the tricky, early years and encourages employment of those who would otherwise be in receipt of the least productive of benefits…job seekers allowance. Neglible net cost. Ace.
All that will happen is unscrupulous employers will fold companies without paying wages, redundancy or suppliers and restart them in their wives/childrens/dogs/cats name to avoid the tax. Also other small companies that don’t take that route will face unfair competition from the new ones.
I heard £250 million with the Beeb saying “how will this be funded?”
Against the background of a £175,000 million deficit, “from the rounding” I should think.
Remember Engineer any projects that NewLiebour do has to have costs attached to it,if it didn’t then they wouldn’t do it,they only do short term or splashing money all over it,IT projects come to mind, thinking sideways is not done.
If the employees come off benefits it will be self-funding. It is not a cost but a loss or revenue if anything.
of revenue
How do you do bold and italics? *dumb blonde face*
(b)Bold(/b)
(i)Italics(/i)
but use the pointy <<<<< paretheses instead of the rounded ones.
Thanks. Saves me using caps when I’m shouting.
Calm down dear, it’s just HTML |:)
Loose means “your nuts are loose and will fall off”
Lose means you have lost – bad luck old son
But I loosed my purse this morning cos the andel come off in me cherokee door so yer wrong
Sorry Engineer but this idea is daft, just set-up a new company every 2 years.
I think he meant if the business was established within the first two years of the Con Government – as a kick start. (Big rush of new companies and the associated revenue generated at kallquicks or whatever as well)
At the end of 2 years you have a 13% rise is staff costs = 1 in 8 staff gets redundant.
They will have had two years to plan for this eventuality. Even if so, better than two years on benefits.
And still better than two years of the business never existing at all.
Anything that helps entrepeneurs to minimise start-up costs has to be welcomed.
I actually run a small company, you know what the biggest problem is?
Chasing companies to pay us.
You wanna know why? the government incentives companies to be in debt, so they pay as late as possible to minimise interest payments (and make lots of money for banks and creates very unstable companies).
Lots of businesses already set up dummy companies so that they can legally leave all the liabilities with one company and transfer the assets to the new company, then they close the new company.
Even some councils do that. Lancashire county council did. People are trying to get their council tax refunded because they should not have had to pay council tax to a defunct company.
Check it out on TPUC.org
Pay freeze on senior civil servants NHS executives, and GP,s
Alasterstargazer Darling announces according to the BBC.
First leave out the GP,s they are useful.
As for the rest mostly jobsworths who would not be missed.
Better idea get rid of the lot of them and really save money I think people at the sharp end would manage quite well without them.
Why did he not announce this at the Labour conference, surely the correct place?
Oh yes the incumbent government are the ‘underdog.’
The are beneath contempt.
Leave out the GP’s ??? Those cheating gangsters have benefited more then anyone during the Labour years of ruin.
stealing the airwaves from the Tory conference . The Tories observed conventions and remained quiet during the Labour conference except for a short comment on the sun changing sides.
Labour are truly beyond contempt
We really are watching a bunch of shysters aren’t we. This is the politics of dodgy roofers
Ah. This will be the insurgency, the? God help us. Just wait until they stage a revolutiom…
Ah. This will be the insurgency, then?
The incumbent Government with a built in majority of 46 seats at the next election!!!
Some underdog!
Shows how shite they are that they are the incumbent and have a massive built-in majority based on an equal number of votes.
If we had a fair voting system, labour would probably end up third. The tories will need almost a million votes more than labour to get a hung parliament. Labour can win an overall majority with half a million fewer votes.
As for the liberals, they need twice as many votes to get the same number of seats.
I am NOT calling for PR, just highlighting that there is NO WAY that labour are the underdogs in this election.
They are just Huhnes!
Are we coming up to a pay round negotiation perhaps?
Cue for the ‘accidental’ loss of government data, laptops found on trains then handed in by ‘concerned’ commuters to ‘news media’, and bundles of papers describing ministerial failings and incompetence.
oh I really hope so
I love it when a plan comes to-gether!
They are cornered and spitting venom. The British Public really hate this sort of
stuff. They will see right through it! The Incidence of ‘leaks’ will increase as the
Quangocrats, Clip Board Meisters, and Waste Bin Monitors realise that they have
also been duped by their erstwhile sponsors.
Helen Clark and the Labour party of NZ tried exactly the same tactics just recently. LANDSLIDE to the Tories!!!!
)
Oh I’d love to go up to some quangoid nazi jobsworth and rub it in. ‘You will be out of a job soon enough you parasite’. Or words to that effect without running the risk of being tazered by the Brown Gestapo in the meantime.
Darling has taken the sting out of tory announcements tomorrow, though he probably meant to pre-empt it.
Bloody hell – Liebor must be desperate !!
Mr Darling has obviously done some work since his visit to Brighton last week
Does he really think making announcements during the Tory conference will impress the Nation?
What complete and utter tossers
It will impress all those Labour voters who have just found out there will be no payrise forthcoming. Labour ineptitude in action,
Maybe he is trying to help the Tories by diverting attention from the big split on Europe.
would that be the big split that is manifest in all the BBC reporter’s imaginations? From what I hear from friends in and around conference, nobody is talking about Europe. They are all relaxed that by the time the election comes round, there will be a policy the country can vote on.
For my part, if it puts our Sovereign Parliament in a superior legal position to the EU regarding laws and statutes and statutory instruments, than I can vote for that.
Civil Liberties is a big thing for me. Scrapping the police state, ID cards, numerous databases and setting our Parliament as the superior court in our laws, and re-enforcing democratic accountability via a new constitution and bill of rights. These are the FUNDEMENTALS that need to be done. Everything else is just politics.
This is just a hint of how underhand the NuSlime party is going to be. The marxists think they have nothing to lose now – well let’s face it they are right, their reputation is already shit – so they will simply play dirty. But the public despise them enough not to give a rat’s arse and will vote them out anyway, possibly even as a punishmenht vote for being so nasty. And their PR department – pravda – had better watch out, the public are growing increasingly tired of them too. Strictly come dancing? You’ll need more than that to save your skins after the next GE.
I wonder if this was what the Tories were going to announce tomorrow and the Nuscumbag party got wind of it.
Just a thought.
Strictly Come Savage Cuts
Strictly Privatised.
Well, strictly by subscription, not extortion.
The rest is details.
I would not describe my opinion of the BBC as “becoming tired”
I am enraged and seriously pissed off with those marxist fuckwits at the BBC.
The sooner ANY party can rip them apart, sell them off and end their arrogant, sanctimonious, dumbed down, propaganda for fuckwits, the better!!!
What a strange world?
We now have Labour in a battle with the Conservatives over who can cut back public spending more!!!
I guess Maggie would love to just be a part of this debate but sadly she has had to hand the baton over.
SHE WAS RIGHT AND HISTORY HAS PROVEN HER RIGHT.
I don’t think the senior civil service job union rep on Sky is doing his members any favours moaning about a pay freeze for those who are ‘only’ paid ‘an average’ of seventy-five grand.
Perhaps politically Labour having to react to Conservative proposals has a beneficial effect.
After all Darling attempting to seize the initiative only shows Labour’s failures up starkly. Thereby getting them negative vibes in the electorate.
sieze – I before E except after C
Sorry but I am a product of 1950′s education where we were actually expected to leaern – OR ELSE!
Bollocks typo! LEARN!
Hate to mention this, DS, but seize is an exception to the i before e rule.
Looks like my job is safe for the time being, unlike Comrade Jonathan Baume’s. I’m trying to remember whether he was a member of IS (forerunner of the SWP) or IMG when he was at Oxford University.
Sorry Dack for the sake of clarity Jonathan Baume is the civil servant who was interviewed on Sky.
Ta. Didn’t catch his name.
DS off to bed, school tomorrow and boy do you need it!
Exceptions – A weird thought seized Sheila by the weir……Cheirio
It’s not a science, is it?
If we don’t pay them them market rate they’ll all emigrate and take their bureaucratic brains with them.
Ooooooo good idea!
Please, let it be so!.
I’d sponsor them to emigrate.
Much like the BBC saying they pay the going rate for so called top talent or top managers.
I would wager a kings Ransom that if most of this lot were put into the labour market that they would take at least a 50% wage cut or considerably more.
Not that a high wage means you know what the fuck you’re doing in either sector. Having worked in both private and public many of the best paid were the most inept.
Except when negotiating terms of employment, obviously.
Even then, if you’re negotiating with an even more inept Govt.
The torys should go much further, and get rid of a large percentage of management, and lower their wages not just freeze themj.
Are you going to auction that on Ebay? It would make a lovely Christmas present for someone!
Or an excellent prize for this Fridays caption contest.
As noted above it is clearly ZNL’s intention to fanfare a new faux “policy” daily during the tory conference as a spoiler tactic. Each day’s nonsense no doubt to be as pretend “right wing” or otherwise inflammatory as possible for maximum spanner in the works effect.
On this basis I fully anticipate that by Thursday we shall see the return of the death sentence and or an immediate referendum on Europe coupled with National Service for all 16 year olds not in employment or training.
McDoom in NI is unfortunately (but entirely predictably) not having a “hand of history on the shoulder day” but I guess withing a few hours he will be in Afghanistan instead pictured in front of a row of helicopters.
I will keep my fingers crossed that this charade by an ever more desperate ZNL and their BBC minders is duly spotted by the electorate and assists in their eagerly anticipated demise.
Or is Mr and Mrs Brit thicker than I give credit for?
Mr and Mrs Brit voted Labour 3 times consecutively. Never forget Barnum’s Rule.
I know, I know; except that on the third occasion it was only Mr and Mrs Scotland and Wales, Mr and Mrs England actually gave ZNL the boot in numerical terms. Mr and Mrs Scotland have since well fallen out with the lying two-faced ZNL hoons which leaves Mr and Mrs Wales plus the block votes (via the Royal Mail, assuming they are not on strike) of the likes of Blackburn, and then only if the latter are not that day contemplating what went wrong in Iraq or Afghanistan. It’s a complicated world so we are fortunate that the BBC lay things out so succinctly for us. The liars.
Nope, ONLY 22% of the electorate voted labour last time, hardly a strong endorsement.
Darlings announcement has just knocked the Tories off every news channel including the great speeches today at the conference. BBC will run with this and newsnight will be all about Darling and the so called splits over the EU will be the only thing mentioned.
Nice huh what a bunch of absolute cnuts. When will we be rid of these evil sneaky lying Labour twats
Amazing isn’t it. Eithr Darling simply forgot to mention this is his speech last week, or he has dreamt it up since. Or perhaps Labour are planning to try to undermine every day of the conference. What’s next?
Brown resigns!
Brown in Afghanistan, I trust that a suitable Chinook will be found – one of those that is way over servicing date, flown by a veteran kamakazi crew.
Or a radio controlled helicopter…
I’m hoping for that cure for cancer by Thursday.
Yes, but the unions aren’t very pleased are they? Hopefully might turn round and bite newlabour. Remember they’re inept at everything including dirty trix.
I suspect that’s why he didn’t say it last week. He would have been booed off stage and they might have had to arrest some trade unionists under prevention of terrorism legislation.
Q: What will the first new item be posted on eBay, the morning after the election?
A: The BBC
Who would bid?
Jonathon Woss. He’s the only person who can afford to.
I’d buy an old Dalek kicking around for spare parts.
Cameron he was a ” supporter of the licence fee”.
He said: “The BBC is an important national institution. I want to see it prosper and succeed and be a fantastic cultural asset.”
but of course he’s fine with lying to the public to please a few hystericals
‘BelatedlyBroadcastingCameron
Labour have woken up to the fact that the Party is coming to an end.
That is the crap fiscal tomfoolery that they have presided over, and the likely end of the Labour Party itself.
They have no one to represent. They stole the Tories clothes in 1997, and now the Tories are nicking them back.
The fisasco of the dual wars in Iraq and then Afghanistan will be their Nemesis.
The crass way that they have avoided supplying the Forces with the right equipment, and a clear strategy is going to come and bite them hard.
You Gov today.
CON 40% (-1) LAB 27% (-2) LD 20%(+3)
Apologies if already posted.
BTW, Labour are doomed.
27% what else does Zanulabour have to do or fuck up to change their minds
If they stopped employing them in their useless State funded non jobs it might just change their minds, otherwise these Turkeys will not vote for Xmas
More like cancer won’t vote to outlaw metastasis.
Excellent, AC1
The Irish turkeys voted for christmas though. All it took was for the EU to tell them, don’t worry Ireland, we’ll have chicken this year.
They are looking forward to their massive Turkey feast next year though.
Winston Churchill said during a previous European unity attempt….
“An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last.”
All Dave needs to do is state ‘Public Sector non-job Workers’ (You know who you are) will not pay any income tax working for us – after we are elected.’ – Simple.
In other words- You won’t have a job. A bit like ‘vote for us in 2005 and don’t worry about europe because we will have a referendum on it later.
More ZNL Policy announcements, hot off the press:
Tuesday: Harriet Harperson will ban the draconian law of speaking on a mobile phone whilst driving, also will make it voluntary to report any accident.
Wednesday: Baroness Scotland will applaud the Business Secretary’s decision to waive income tax and national insurance payments on all new employees for the first two years of their employment (backdated to July).
Thursday: Gordon Brown is expected to announce far reaching new legislation on the constitution but instead falls arse over tit trying to get off the plane from Northern Ireland, scowls at ground staff and shakes the hand of a luggage trolley.
Well you can’t stage manage every fooking ZaNuLab disaster can you?
Pravda have also announced that 2/3 of people who say they will vote Tory are “protest voters”. Now, when we were at our nadir (“truly fucked” for those with a Labour education), the vote share never dropped below 30%. Therefore, by the Beeb’s own calculations, the Tories are on course for a vote share of 50%. Do you think that someone has blundered?
This is a very hard sum.
If 30% represented the core vote and now an additional 2/3 are going to vote Tory in protest that would mean that 1/3 was the 30% and the additional 2/3 would be another 60%, making 90% voting Tory in total.
This seems a bit high even given that ZanuLabor is not so well respected now.
Oh dear…
The polls say fairly consistently that the Tory share of the vote is about 40%.
Grumpy Old Man says that even at worst, the Tory share of the vote was about 30%.
Pravda say 2/3 of 40% are ‘protest voters’, i.e. about 26% of the electorate.
It is quite clear that someone hasn’t quite got their figures right.
Time for Pravda to come up with ‘Strictly Mathematics’, or ‘Strickly Maff’ as they would doubtless call it.
Probably wouldn’t be many staff participants
Q: If one obnoxious ballroom dancer calls his partner a racist name, and precedent would demand a sacking, how many ballroom dancers remain employed?
A: One – his name’s not Carol Thatcher.
And only 22% of the electorate gave labour a 66 seat majority in 2005!!!
5 years later, when 60% of the electorate hate ALL of the above? Someone at the BBC cannot count.
Forget the sums the trick is to change the parameters (goal posts), protest votes hitherto have been understood as being votes for parties other than the two main parties, Al beeboid have decided to alter the rules again to fit in with a poll they don’t like the look of.
Maybe they’re intending to move the goal posts during the election.
They certainly don’t seem to be worried by the sound of Norman’s chainsaw revving up.
There is no great change because the protest vote has always been significant.
Maybe we should be allowed two votes, one for the candidate we like most, and one for the candidate we detest most, with an option to cast only a negative vote.
At the count, negatives cancel out positives. The highest positive count wins.
An alternative option would be either vote positively or negatively, but not both.
Combine that with local elections and proportional representation for the Scottish and Welsh parliaments, and the Westminster elections, and the voting instructions for Wales and Scotland would end up as clear as the wording in the Lisbon Treaty.
I thought a bit about this.
If there were x candidates and you were given x-1 vote-against slips then the least un-hated person might win.
It would probably end the party system.
I can’t get my head round the concept of the “least unhated person winning”.
I think I’ll have a drink.
Add to that instructions in Welsh and Gaelic, and the ballot paper would have to be printed on rolls of wallpaper.
Ballot scrolls – now that would be a new trend.
That’s brilliant! You could just shove it up a vacume pipe instead of a ballot box
Another new Tory Policy announced to help the unemployed.
After 6 months unemployment free Notting Hill set cocaine
after 12 Months free NHS Heroin
After 2 years free Zyclon B in the basement of you’re local Job Centre Plus.
The final underclass solution.
This policy is only for labour troughers and redundant labour mp’s after next year’s GE.
It would have been for tone too, but he’s since found new employment so he can affrd his own.
Tone’s desire to become European President pretty damned quickly is to make sure that he evades responsibility for the Iraq war.
We couldn’t have the President of Europe charged with War Crimes could we?
Imagine an Iraq inquiry steered by an incoming Conservative Government.
I can imagine that, in fact, I still don’t see a good enough reason why there shouldn’t be an ‘unbiassed’ study into everything Zanu’s been up to over the last twelve years.
Heads should roll if (when) it is proven the electorate were lied to.
I think that Channel 4 drama ‘The Trial of Tony Blair’ scared the pants off him. He probably picked up a few tips from Berlusconi on his hols.
Pravda is living in denial…all those handwringing marxists who work for it simply cannot envisage a life without the daily kow-towing to Zanulabour.
The party is over, guys and gals. And all the biased reporting won’t change a thing…except the degree to which your budgets and jobs are cut after the GE.
The BBC should have its budget cut by at least 2/3rds and be restricted solely to a public broadcasting role with purely unbiased and factually accurate output
and costume drama!
Got my stopwatch ready for the BBC ten o clock news tonight – just a reminder; last week on Monday night they gave the labour conference the first eight minutes, entirely uncritical, no opposition, no challenge, every labour word accepted as fact ,then a couple of news stories, then the last seven minutes.
Let’s see if they provide BALANCE tonight eh?
Lord Tebbit will be watching, oiling his chainsaw, ready to make the marxist piggies squeal after the election
Gauniad bbc are incapable of achieving any balance, other than their own.
Just as Gordom has his compass, so they have their balance scales, only problem is one side is missing.
Oh I just can’t be arsed writing about it. They’re such shits. Nothing that wasn’t critical, or fabricated, or skipped. Shit BBC.
Shoot them all.
Is that too harsh? Hmmm. No. Shoot ‘em.
Even if you couldn’t face it, I was ready with the stopwatch – and the green ink.
Not a mention of Hague.
BBC R4 World at Ten
22.00.00 First item – Darling Pay Freeze announcement.
22.00.30 – 22.00.43 – waffle over ‘Europe split’. followed by general waffle.
22.01.00 – 22.02.41 more on pay freeze – with brief mention of Pension age proposals ‘to be announced in G.O.’s speech.
22.02.41 – 22.03.08 mention of conference – incapacity benefit/tax breaks for new business. Ending with mention of ‘Europe issue’.
22.03.08 – 22.07.29- World News. GB in Ireland, MI5 file on Union Chief.
22.07.29 – 22.09.22 Ms Shah from ‘The Conference – ‘savings and cuts’ mentioned. Conservative proposals for pension age change – stressing adverse effect on women.
22.09.22 – 22.10.38 – Civil Servants Pay Freeze (with one line about ‘Conservative reaction’).
22.10.38 – 22.13.04 – Random mention of ‘ready for change’ slogan then straight into ‘Europe’ topic – with minimal extracts from DC and health speeches.
22.13.04 – 22.22.51 – Europe – Quote from Boris, Interview with Mark Francois, interview with Specialist in EU Law/Swedish rep, Ken Clarke, Bruges Group – even mentioned Maastricht! FFS
22.22.51 – 22.23.05 – Closing remarks ‘from Conference’ re. G.O tomorrow.
No mention of one of the best conference speeches of the decade… Mr William Hague.
The BBC ommission merely confirms my opinion that it was devastating to Labour.
Thought I’d dropped into the Monday caption competition. BBC better get their act together or rather drop the act, 6 ‘o’ clock news spun as Tories cutting benefits for jobseekers, not true it was about looking at people on incapacity benefit who may be able to work, followed by toenails and this big split over Europe (?) suddenly the Nation must be guaranteed a referendum (but never any mention of the Nulab pledge ever), no coverage of Haig speech, little coverage of Cameron speech, Boris given more airtime (try to portray him as a clown), seems the BBC agenda for coverage has been written or approved by Alastair Campbell as usual, the spin is to fool people into thinking we are in this mess because of the Tories??????, unbelievable. They have gone from bias to blatant pro-Government propaganda, and we know why… Here comes a candle to light you to bed and here comes a chopper to chop off YOUR HEAD.
What’s the big split over Europe?
Dying labour want bliar as president and mrs postbox as first lady and the tories will oppose their presidency.
Toenails portraying it as a big split over Europe, I meant.

Hague makes tractor stats look sexy!!!!
Gordon eat your heart out.
yet nothing about the catastrophic war based on lies
But Hague was pretty sharp in the debate about an Iraq enquiry a few months back.
Yeah but one in three of the British electorate think this is doing ok mate, innit.
But then of course they can’t read now !
good post
are you making the case that ID cards can be corrupted ??? the photo is not the same without the hat
** STANDING OVATION **
THANKS FOR THE ABBREVIATED VERSION OF LIEBOUR’S ‘ACHIEVEMENTS’
Think you missed another one, selling army housing 1.8 billion in 97,they are now valued at 3 billion or more,we rent them off the new owners and paid 1.8 billion in rents, as per Theo Sparks blog and a newspaper I can’t remember which? one.
Not worth a mention.. but Strictly contestant voted off IS (Gordon thought Flora MCDonald was very good and very nice even if she does spread very easily).
I’ve just watched Hague, Boris and Cameron – I thought the latter sounded a bit wet and apologetic in comparison. A good idea to start with a couple of personalities, but they overshadowed him I thought. Maybe he’ll pull it out of the bag for the big one.
Doesn’t sound so bad when you put it like that.
Don’t forget Hague said: Mandelson gives a new meaning to the word CHUMP, Ha Ha Ha.
Hague. He’ll make a great Foreign Secretary and hopefully restore some respect to Britain that the tenures of Beckett and Militwit have so terribly eroded.
Like Churchill he is a great speaker.
Sophie Rhys Jones once described William Hague as “deformed.” Did she mean physically or mentally?
physically , he’s hung like a bull giraffe
William Hague compared to Churchill . . . Hahaahahahaahahahaha
Gordon Brown compared to a human . . . Hahaahahahaahahahaha
We won’t have a Foreign Secretary under Lisbon. Sorry to be ever so pedantic.
you will – Mandelson
“Aah-ahhh! You have a woman’s hand, milord! I’ll wager these dainty pinkies never weighed anchor in a storm”
Do not speak the words of Tom Baker(PBUH) in jest!
Nah-that’s Hannan talk. – Sailoring
How can it be
When the photo is on the left?
bravo sir…
OMG here we go back to the sixties and seventies. Movers and shakers get taxed to eyeballs and political wasters get state hand outs.
Story of the last 12 years.
OMG!! Please let us get back to tory days.
gordon has been the most depressing influence on economics and social mobility in Britain ever!!!
..since Judge Jeffreys indeed
Top news spot for Darling on Sky this being announced by a reporter outside the Manchester conference centre with a letter given by treasury. An offical announcement will be made just before Osborns speech tomorrow so thats convention right out the window.
Hahahaha the union saying they are unhappy and saying they thought their 3 year plan previously agreed with the government would be honured by Brown hahahahahahahahahaah. Referendum anyone? DONT THEY EVER LEARN?
ROTFLMAO
Fuckwit!
They’re all dooomed !
Link?
TV sky news Nell every 30 mins
As soon as the ruin made his non annoucement conference its centerpiece , Darling was going to be chutneyed , he shoved it all onto his office and made the dither a treasury issue .
As for protocol during conference side show bob and postman vlad were in Afghanistan , how remarkably similar to last year .
The ruin and his robbers must go its been one big lie
Well I guess the Tories will have to pull something seriously controversial out of the bag to get any coverage tomorrow. The BBC even gave more time to the lib-dems than they have to the tories and what time they have given to the tories has been filled with their reporter’s delusions and fantasies, NOT what has actually happened at the conference, OR the fringe.
Even by the BBC’s lamentable standards, this is dire.
Try BBC Parliament — just the conference and nothing but the conference. My only gripe is that they cut off any enthusiastic applause and there’s nothing on the fringe meetings.
I’m going to OD on the good sense coming from these people this week, it’s been so long since I heard any.
Double standards from the BBC sacking Thatcher’s daughter, but promoting Mrs Draper’s friend “Du Beke” after he is outed as a racist.
That’s confirmed then..Labour Party in terminal meltdown of panic.
This can be the only reason to explain Darlings announcement on public service pay freezes.
It ‘s simply impossible to believe that this was not ready for announcement at the Labour Conference.
Just dirty tricks from a dirty government.
Thats the photo that you use for internet dating?
Sort of Widow Twanky meets Rudolph Hess.
How the fuck you got past the Police line is beyond me(as are many things)
Sorry Beast. But I think the description of “Widow Twanky meets Rudolf Hess” is the absolute perfect description of gordon!!!!!!!
He would make a great pantomime Dame
McMental as the ugly sister to Beautiful Tony Spinderella
Bitter Gordon McMental

Alladin ? you have to rub it really hard , its magic honest , thats right really hard and i will grant you two wishes .
only two wishes i thought it was three ?
noooo the extra wish is mine all mine
widow twankey meets rudolph hess , LOL
No true Irishman would have a straight nose like dat.
They only go bulbous with age.
I thought it was from the old tax laws the English imposed on the Irish?
If you couldn’t pay the tax, the tax collectors would split the debtors nose which would heal and widen.
There were repeat offenders I am led to believe.
Which part of the Irish anatomy will the EU demand as payment?
I don’t know how the rest of you feel in respect of Darlings announcement re a pay freeze but I believe I would have to be restrained by friends to stop me permanently punching his lights out !
If they were my true friends they would however let me do it – even closer friends would be expected to hold him whilst I did it!
………… the evil-nasty- feccer !!!
I don’t think the B&P would stoop so low – would they?
Relax – IF that is what Darling is going to say then better that Labour say it and actually attack the “sacred cow” of public sector pay and perks than the Conservatives. The more trouble Labour have with public sector unions and unions in general in the run up to a general election the better although we can’t hope for a re-run of 1978/79 again although some union leaders are daft enough to give media like “the Sun the ammunition. It’s obvious that there will be tough decisions required after the election and one of the prime targets for “cuts” HAS to be the bloated public sector which has ballooned under Labour AND if Darling has to endorse that fact – good
Oh dear, I have been waiting 12 long years to get rid of Labour and have been looking forward to helping to vote them out – The Conservatives will not get my vote if there is no promise of a referendum.
Brown betrayed the trust of the voters on this issue and that wrong needs to be put right. If Cameron will not do that then he too holds the british public in contempt.
Must I/we vote UKIP?
Absolutely you must.
There you have it, directly from Troll Central: vote UKIP! Ever heard of divide and conquer? Save your UKIP vote for MEP elections, where they can do more damage!
Or get another Labour government (sic).
Come on, answer this question:
WHAT IS THE POINT OF A CAMERON GOVERNMENT IF WE ARE RULED BY DICTATOR BLAIR???
I will happily vote UKIP if that is the ONLY way to defeat the federal EU dictatorship from running this country.
Because it will make NO FUCKING DIFFERENCE if Brown or Cameron wins if ALL our laws are dictated from Brussels and our Foreign policy is whatever Blair tells us it is and our Military is seconded to swear allegiance to Blair instead of the Queen etc etc.
So come on? why the fuck should I vote for Cameron IF I am going to end up being ruled by Blair?
because he’s the only chance you’ve got of not being ruled by Blair
Only IF Cameron grows a pair and pulls us out of the EU! If Cameron meekly tries to renegotiate the Lisbon Treaty, then we will have an unelected dictator (probably Blair). and Cameron will be the most pointless Prime Minister in Europe AND in our entire history.
Unless Cameron grows a pair, there will be no point in voting conservative.
Whereas Cameron has the opportunity before the next election yo kill off UKIP and the B EN P and guarentee himself a massive landslide majority.
You gotta ask, WHY WON’T HE?
I will vote UKIP and donate to them next week unless Dave promisses a referendum by then. I also have no problem with UKIP adopting good, workable ideas off of the Conservatives this week if they choose to.
well best of luck.
60% of a poll today (sorry I forget which one) say they want a referendum even if the treaty has been ratified.
I hope dave’s putting his mind around this one.
Are you James I of England or James VI of Scotland, either way I consider the adjective Britiish should be spelt with a capital B, Sir.
and without the extra i too, I may say.
O James the Second, seller of weird broken stuff and odds ‘n’ ends?
Yes vote UKIP.
Dave is a jelly
Vote Ukip get Brown
Vote yellow get Brown
Up to you
IF the tories do NOT do the right thing on the EU, then your false assertion needs to be ammended as follows:
Vote Brown, get Blair,
Vote Tory, get Blair,
Vote Clegg, get Blair,
Vote UKIP tell Blair to fuck himself.
WHAT IS THE POINT OF A CAMERON LED GOVERNMENT IF WE ARE UNDER THE RULE OF DICTATOR BLAIR???
why’s the onus on the Tories?
Labour’s in power why aren’t you asking them ? They can call a referendum tomorrow – perhaps your fraid of Tony and Mandy ?
what’s UKIP doing about it ? Bugger all.
Answer the question resurgemus.
WHAT IS THE POINT OF A CAMERON LED GOVERNMENT IF WE ARE UNDER THE RULE OF DICTATOR BLAIR???
Labour has let us all down and become traitors. There is no point deluding ourselves that putting any pressure on them will get them to hold a referndum on a treaty THAT THEY HAVE ALREADY RATIFIED!
The tories are in pole position to win the next election so the onus IS on them to say HOW they are going to defend and protect our sovereignty and remain as a relevant Governing Party, should they actually win. IF they are going to give in to the EU, then what is the point of voting for them if we will end up with nulabour being imposed from the EU?
UKIP are PROMISING to defend that sovereignty in a way that the tories have not.
THAT is what UKIP is doing?
What else would you have them do?
IF you are so against UKIP, then guess what? CAMERON HAS THE OPPORTUNITY TO KILL THEM OFF!
That’s right, you needn’t slag off UKIP supporters here, just ask Cameron make UKIP irrelevant. He could do that soooooo easily and at a stroke.
WHY WON’T HE? It is not the UKIP supporters that are threatening a labour victory. It is Cameron’s refusal to give a simple answer.
so answer the question WHAT IS THE POINT OF A CAMERON LED GOVERNMENT IF WE ARE UNDER THE RULE OF DICTATOR BLAIR???
see previous post – he’s the only realistic chance you’ve got of avoiding president Blair.
Frankly I think Cameron would be mad to declare his hand now since so much can change in 9 months and Labour plus Eurocrats will be trying to trip him up.
Policy is for a manifesto.
If you have a frustration on the current situation take it out on the the Govt. who welched rather than the people trying to change it.
What else would I have UKIP do ?
Stand down candidates in Nulab marginal consituencies and tell the Tories to stand down in areas they can’t win but you can.
Vote UKIP and Blair will come in his pants……
He’s not allowed to. In the event of an ‘accidental discharge’, the holy jizz must be collected by the Halliscutters and despatched by NWO Gulfstream to the central vivarium in New Mexico for analysis and storage. RiBruChe has so decreed.
Go ahead – vote UKIP – split the Conservative vote and get Labour or another Lib/Lab Pact for 5 yearsand speaking as someone who has lived through the 70′s and the LAST Lib/Lab Pact that is pretty frightening
Cameron may have problems honouring his referendum committment if Lisbon is ratified by all states prior to him becoming PM – that’s a risk but one things for sure Labour and/or LibDems definitely won’t do anything bout Lisbon ortrying to re-negotiate.
If you want shot of Labour the ONLY realistic vote is for Cameron and the Conservatives.
If the treaty is passed into law – a referendum on it is totally pointless. The only option left is to try and re-negotiate some of the terms which is what I believe will be Conservative policy if the Poles and Czechs ratify before the election.Cameron can’t say it because the people who have done their utmost to keep the party out of office for 12 years over Europe would rather keep banging on about a referendum than trying to turf out Labour. An Opposition is completely powerless. For anything to happen the Conservatives need to be in power otherwise you’re stuffed – UKIP is a damp squib it’s a “one trick pony” and in a General Election it’s never going to get enough MPs elected. If it’s lucky it might get 3 MPS and ensure that some Labour MPs who would have lost their seats don’t.
Not at all. The only way UKIP supporters will ever have their voices heard is by electing a government committed to electoral reform.
Vote Labour. Deep down you know I’m right.
Because Labour have done so much to protect our sovereignty
And their economic achievements are leg-end-ary.
Woooo! Spooky Neuro Linguistic Programming! Look into my eye, truuusssstt in meeee….
Fuck off James you… you… client of Harriet!
Vote Labour?
Someone else who is not on painkiller medication.
Labour are not committed to electoral reform. Well, not that will aid democracy…
Vote UKIP if you live in an area where the UKIP did well in the local elections, don’t worry as the Labour vote is haemorrhaging to the B&P.
while U kip Mandelson sells your country
UKIP did well where they had candidates. Where they didn’t (Council) people couldn’t vote for them. Also; back on June 4th the Lisbon situation wasn’t so pressing. One can tell from reading newspaper comments, letters to the editor, blog comments, etc, that europe will be the main issue.
Dave will have to listen, else the blame will be upon him not UKIP voters who vote with hope and integrity.
The economy is the main issue for voters.
If you look at the recent YouGov analysis on Political Betting, Europe is rnked about number 10 or 11.
OK. So UKIP are good to go. Thanks.
“UKIP did well where they had candidates. Where they didn’t (Council) people couldn’t vote for them. ”
You’re obviously an expert. Did other parties experience a similar pattern?
You must do what your conscience dictate.
As Tebbit once said, no-one with a conscience votes tory.
no one with half a brain cell remaining working would vote labour
Right ! So dear alastair is telling the IMF and the G7 in a posh hotel in Istanbul that he is going to cut! cut! cut!
And he couldn’t have outlined details of those cuts last week at the Labour Conference?
Presumably he thought if he opened his mouth last week the Unions would slaughter him.
This labour crew are such cowards!!
Dear Alistair is going to have to do a lot more cutting in the weeks and months ahead to keep the creditors from the door. His boss is throwing everything short of the kitchen sink (let alone the Nokias) at slowing deflation and producing the illusion of stability for one reason alone…to avoid total vaporisation at the coming GE.
And on to Europe. Pravda says “new question were being asked about the party’s unity on Europe.” They are even putting words in Boris’ mouth he didn’t say.
So shabby of Labour to do this during the Conservative conference. Further proof of how rattled they are.
Too Little, Too Late.
That will be the epithet engraved on the tombstone of Nu Labour.
George Osborne is a hero troll of the interwebz using the close but not cigar meme on Labour.
The Ministry of Defence was left embarrassed tonight after its internal guide to preventing leaks appeared on the internet. The Defence Manual of Security sets out tactics for preventing Chinese and Russian intelligence services from using blackmail or hi-tech gadgets to obtain sensitive information. It also describes methods of countering the threat from ‘subversive or terrorist organisations’ and investigative journalists.
Well I guess it beats the 5.20 stopping service (buffet facilities not avaiable on this train) from Waterloo

Its only difficult to get a pass if you are a Tory!
Did Mandy get one?. He has form with difficulties getting into conferrence halls
Let’s not forget mandy struggled to get access to the labour conference last week because security refused to accept his accreditation.
Security were eventually over-ridden. I think that was the wrong decision.
nell you remind me of my mummy
That’s good.
Trust me. Mum always knows best!!!!
you’re not my mummy old vinegar tits
I don’t know why the chump did not slip in the back entrance.
His passage was eventually cleared and a report was sent immediately
What do the Conservatives have to say about the increasing doubts regarding man made global warming?
This is what the Spectator had to say, and its worth reading.
http://www.spectator.co.uk/melaniephillips/5389461/the-great-global-warming-scam-ctd.thtml
Moley, please be aware that it been has called “climate change” these last ten years. Ever since the climate has been getting cooler, in fact.
Sorry.
It’s so easy to forget that cooling is a sign of warming.
Global warming ? Yes.
Man-made ? – Possibly Not!
We need to look at a much longer timescale, and take into account the cyclical activity of the sun, to understand what happens to our planet.
Very big money and many well-paid jobs depend on the carbon dioxide scare. They won’t give up easily. I expect the AGW brigade to operate in the same way as the tobacco industry and, before them, the people who put lead tetraethyl in petrol. There will be a long rearguard action, using money, power, PR, dirty tricks and privilege, to defend the scare and the cash that goes with it for as long as possible.
Now all we need is for the Ice cores to be debunked publically.
Just as a hint can I suggest that ICE melts when it is warm. It is like asking politicians to record their sleaze, in the years of high corruption, arrogance and unemployment, history is rewritten, in the years of real growth and prosperity no one has time or need to rewrite history. So it would be easily proved that sleaze was worst in times of real growth.
The evidence of the warm years MELTED. So they never existed.
(NO, there is not a distinct line for each year in the ice cores)
People were also pointing to glaciers getting lower as a hinted sign of AGW, however glaciers shrink when it doesn’t snow, and it doesn’t snow when it gets too cold…
Yes – there is a distinct line for each year in ice cores – you get the annual fluctuations in oxygen isotopes in the water.
Pain in the arse to analyse, but that’s how it works.
And your melting theory is just silly, sorry.
There’s ample evidence for periodic climate change, but only weak correlations for man-made climate change based on dodgy temperature measurements and a coincidental rise in temperature matching CO2 concentration.
No – I’m not a climate change scientist, but I do know how to do all the lab work and the stats ;o)
Have you been to see the last 10 years, or so, of results. They are all discounted as the ICE is unreliable. Why should our 10 years be unreliable when so much reliance is placed on ICE much much older.
“This causes deep and old layers to be stretched and thinned, so direct counting of layers eventually becomes impossible. Where layers are no longer detectable, mathematical models that describe the physics of ice flow can usually estimate the age.”
“It is in
this region that records extending back
over hundreds of thousands of years can
be found, although the dating is necessarily
less precise.”
Look up “firn gas transport” and see how the search for other hockey sticks is impossible. No changes that fast would ever register properly in the ice. So there is no proof that they never happen. As I said it is like rewriting history.
I’m sorry I just looked at your site. The world is full of people that can help you. You do not have to believe that it is all over. Do not believe the fear propaganda. They are all based on small truths, but the distortion for political gain is huge.
The real truth of humanity destroying the planet is hidden behind these lies. There is little time left, but to spend it on CO2 issues is nuts. Every environmental disaster that has occurred to date is a LOCAL issue. There is no global malaise other than the greed of local humans.
If the climate was not changing, then I might get worried.
We must pay attention to the warning signs: Just before a rush of warm weather and climate we will experience a sudden cold snap whereby heat retreats away and then returns suddenly. Studies in New Malden of tsunami wave motions confirm this catagorically.
Aljabeeba leads with Alistair Darling’s announcement on freezing pay rises for those government ‘workers’ struggling on £75k and more
Oh who’s going to suffer in Alastair’s purge? Failed labour MP’s (most will be gone at the next election) – Backroom/Incompetent/Useless Senior Government and NHS Manager’s – aintbustinaguts right hand men/smear and spin merchants – the MOD’s Press Officers in Helmand who only tell us what gordon wants us to hear (listen instead to Michaelyon) –
Truth is Alastair’s words are just dross on the wind.
As if that is going to make the slightest bit of fucking difference to the gargantuan public deficit. Any decent economist (i.e ones that DO NOT appear on Aljabeeba) would same the same. Whoever is incharge is going to hae to cut, in effect, the entire defence budget AND half the education budget.
It’s like a gnat on a whole field of bullshit.
Quick precis of the BBC 10 o clock news written as it was broadcast
BBC news at 10 leads with Alistar Darling
Tories are competing with the government about cuts apparently to Toe nails not government competing with the opposition. Subtle difference.
BBC admits no coincidence in timing of announcement but turned it saying the Tories were hoping that they would be the ones being honest (subtle difference ie Labour are honest Tories try to be)
Tories reported cutting benefits
Timing of intervention mentioned again and toe nails just making excuses as to why the announcement made now.
Now striaght onto Europe and Boris talking about EU. BBC stating that this is effectively something they wanted to keep quiet. Boris getting a good showing again. Still going on about Boris. Now how Boris has put pressure on Cameron .
I make that about 6 to 7 mins and nothing about Hague again whatsoever or his speech in fact anyone not on line would probably not think he actually made a speech today
BBC Bias at its best
Warm up the chainsaw Norman !
The tories should be completely disinterested in BBC News. At best only 30% of the British License payers listen to BBC News.
At Best!! 30%!!
They are hardly mainstream!!
Dave needs to seriously consider why government allows a license fee for this canker at the heart of democracy.
It is time for change and the BBC needs to be privatised. Auctioned off in bits to the rest of the world.
Because we sure as hell don’t want it!!
So when can we exepect Dave to announce he’s privatising the BBC ?
Round about the same time he announces he’s pulling the troops out of Afghanistan ?
David Cameron – ”supporter of the licence fee”.
David Cameron – “The BBC is an important national institution. I want to see it prosper and succeed and be a fantastic cultural asset.”
It is truly sad how wet Dave is.
He’s a bit like Chamberlain to Boris’s Chruchill.
David Cameron – “The BBC is an important national institution. I want to see it prosper and succeed and be a fantastic cultural asset.”
That statement doesn’t actually exclude the possibility of a few “ammendments”.
No wonder the Socialists aren’t worried about losing the Sun when they still have the BBC to bring forth their message to the population. If we get five more years of Labour, Pravda will be to blame.
Labour on public sector pay. (Source; Sky)
“Three-year pay deals for non-senior civil servants will be respected, but those without agreements face rises in line with the private sector – ranging between 0% and 1%.”
That’s a 0% rise for the majority of civil servants.
“I’m voting Labour, they are giving us a 0% rise; those bastard Tories would give us nothing!
Gordom the maths genius invented the 0% rise.
Another fine Liebor achievement for the benefit of all .
Maybe I missunderstood the original announcement but within 30 mins they are already backtracking. It was first reported as a complete freeze on pay but now its changed already to those who have pay deals agreed. Well that would be correct because I don’t think those can be changed (or maybe they can??)
Either way within 30 mins the announcement is already falling apart and not what it originally seemed to be when first made. By the morning the big announcement will probably actually cover afew hundred people.
Now where have we seen that before???????
I say to you all now
That just because I have this fist sporting a £ 150, 000 watch inserted deep into my colon as its owner tells me what to say and do
I AM IN CHARGE
Making tough decisions
First Comedy about Obama.
Obama = Brown with an Autocue.
Iz it coz I’s Brown?
no its because u is a cnut
Just a thought. Gordon out of the Country. Any possibility that Alistair has done this off his own bat? Won’t do Labour any good – just confirmation that the UK is in deep trouble.
Where’s Gondom off to now ?
Maybe it’s time to get revolting !
Broon’s in the land of Erin, saving the peace process.
Sectarian riots in 3…2…1…
or maybe Jonah doing yet another runner as always when bad news happens and the shit hits the fan.
Actually I think this is good news but Labour will never carry it through.
Grandma, people who serve in a Brown cabinet are beyond redemption. They are simply not capable of doing anything off their own bat.
Newsnight opening lead Darlings announcement. Tories knocked right out of the picture.
Now following on with Tories with the idea about the pension years was Labour policy and idea and Tories are bringing it forward.
Paxo now having a go at Teresa May ” do you support this?” what can she say she has not seen the details and now being attacked for not saying she would support it. FFS what is actually going on here!!!!
paxo is a cnut!! His face constantly raising eyebrows and looking incredulous as if to say to viewer what a load of crap
Going on now about the poorest will be most affected. Now he states that the Tories will hurt the poorest and JESUS H FUCKING CHRIST just got the ‘nasty party’ jibe in
WHAT THE FUCK???????
BASTARD
nicked from Trasker above, Dave Cameron says ‘The BBC is an important national institution. I want to see it prosper and succeed and be a fantastic cultural asset’
What would the BBC actually have to do, to get Dave pissed off.
We need Boris ! not this endless wetness !
As long as the person went to Eton that will do for me. Huzzah.
Revenge is best served cold.
Aljabeeba know it. It’s shit or bust for them. And they’ll throw as much shit as they possibly can for the next 8 months.
Get used to it.
Hes right though.
As ever, the voters choose between labour incompetence or tory corruption. Either way the British people get shafted. Or they could let brussels dictate every tiny detail of our life by voting libdem.
Whadda choice.
Paxo just asked Boris what he should do in the event of ratification. Boris tried to state lets have a referendum now as Labour promised and Paxo shouted him down. Boris then said I think your viewers need to know this point and get cut off again and Paxo refused to let him speak.
Paxo just dismissed the Labour stance as inconsequential
Someone get this on utube or something as this was absolutely outrageous.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
http://www.michaelyon-online.com/
Dave/Liam . Do not forget our troops in Afghanistan.
Gordon, aintbustinagut, kevan, Ldffoulkes have , smeared, abused and abandoned them.
And we can look forward to 5 more years of bloodshed
So everything will be just peachy
Let’s not forget the troops we are putting out there. OK?
Just keep reading and listening to Michael Yon .
Ignore what gordon’s government is saying to us because that is just a load of lies.
Listen to Michael Yon!!!!!!!
http://www.michaelyon-online.com/
Nell On Sky Earlier : Bob Ainsworth On His Visit To Afghanistan Was Confronted By A Bomb Disposal Expert Who Had A Go At Him Over Lack Of Troops On The Ground !
Give That Man A Medal
This Labour crew should hang!!!!
They have put our lads through hell – exposed them to war without enough troops, proper kit, armaments that work in afghanistan, helicopters, bomb disposal support, medical support………………………
Here we go Newsnight pulling out all the stops on the Referendum and playing it staright down the Labour side. Really seriously bigging this up big style. There is no one being interviewed that is saying any thing else than we want a referedum.
I am sick of these bbc bastards. I don’t remember one question off hand to Labour about the stealing of our vote by labour. That Michael Crick inventing stories now stoill nothing on anything else. What a slimy toad.
Paxo
We should have a bingo card on this guy
He has now got Bullingdon club, Champagne mentioned had the nasty party mentioned earlier.
Paxo is a bully and a total disgrace
Paxo looking like a complete Hoon against Boris…!
fer christs sake! what a bunch of whining pussies
big bad Paxo is asking BoJo leading questions. lawks a mercy! I do declare!
perhaps you missed the part where unlike 95% of politicians Boris got away with it and came across well because he’s likeable, smart and doesn’t fall into a quivering heap at the mere mention of the BBC or Paxo
unlike the wimps here he’s a big boy and can handle the media without being reduced to tearful hysterics
go fuck yourself twat…when Labour get the same grilling then fair enough. Your time is coming and rapidly now.
These People In Politics Who Would Do Anything To Get Infront Of A Camera Are At Fault They Should Know What They Are Talking About Or Shut The Fuck Up And Dont Go On The Show !
Uh oh! Boris is onto the Bullingdon club now
Easy there Boris
Boris – brilliant. He out-paxo’d paxo. The head-tilt moment was fantastic!!
Still no mention of the Hague speech
BBC have tried to obfuscate it like they did with the Dan Hanan one
Hope it gets the utube off-air hits it deserves
Why does every household have to fund a public broadcasting service that is clearly so biased?
Mandy gives a mediocre speech last week, the BBC has a collective orgasm.
Hague gives one of the best speeches in recent political history, the BBC has collective amnesia.
Any links to his speech at all?
These people in this Newsnight polling room – no helping them is there?
The lad with a full facial birthmark wears his shoulder-chip with pride doesn’t he. Brainwashed numpty. Oh and Osborne didn’t go to Eton!
Great randomly selected “focus group” wasn’t it…..!
Bunch of northern trogs, probably all from the local sink estate. “Duh, Labour has wrecked this country and done nothing for the working man but I dun like Tories so I’ll vote Labour”
The Tories Will Raise The State Pension Age To 66 From 2116
Under The Last tory Government My Pensions Were Growing At 26% Per Ann
Then Brown Fucking Wrecked Them
I Should Have Been Able To Retire At 50
Now Knackered And Still Working At 52
I Will Have To Work Till I Am 65
Now Dickhead Dave Just Moved It To 66
Youve Lost My Vote On The First Day Keep Talking Dave
Brown Will Be Ahead In The Poles By Friday !
We’re all going to pay for 13 years of profligacy and incompetence. You aren’t the only one suffering.
Trouble is eng: In 1979 I got 4 discs knocked out of my spine and i knew i couldn’t go on till 65 so we put every thing in to it Not had a day out of work since i left school at 15 only time i ever had off work was when i fell off a roof and broke 5 ribs (2 of them front and back) and i had 6 days off work
People on Incapacity benefit ! i’ve shit em !
I sympathise with you seriously I really do and of course this should never need to be the position but I do have to ask one thing did you ever vote labour in the last 12 years?
I had 3 pensions and they are all destroyed as good as nothing left and I have been paying then since I was seventeen. I most likely would have to work beyond 66 anyway as a result and all because of these totally incompetent bastards called Labour who have done this for the second time in my lifetime.
No i Did Not, But I Will Admit That I Did Feel The Tories Had Run Out Of Steam In 97 And Was glad Of The Change But Within Months I Could See That Lie-Bore Were A Disaster And Wanted Rid Of Them ! I Think I Voted UK Independence At The Time
And To Make It Worse I Had PEP’s And Tessa’s Which Paid Less Than I Put In And My Endowlment Has Just Finished And I Owe Them £8,000 And I Had £10,000 In RBS Shares
Life Is A Bitch Under Lie-Bore !
I Will Never Vote Lie-Bore And I cant See How Anybody Can Unless You Are On Benefits Or Have Lots Of Money Because If Your Loaded There Must Be Some Sorts Of Fiddle For Them To Support This Shower Of Shit ?
And under 5 more years of Brown you will be working until you are 70……
12 years new Labour followed by 20 years hard Labour and Tony’s laughing all the way to the bank
What do you expect from a Socialist?
Everyone is equal but some are more equal tha others – look at Mandy.
Well heeled, Tax payer funded..
The Tories have had a good day. I’m glad.
But now I want to hear what they are going to do to actively support our troops, that this labour government has abandoned, in Afghanistan.
I hope Dave is going to listen to the troops on the front line.
http://www.arrse.co.uk
Thanks Nell. Straight away I see their Lisbon Poll. 90% against. Wouldn’t it be nice if Their Commander In Chief saw that?
Do they call him “Paxo” because he ought to be stuffed?
Bloody hell, that looks more like ME than like you. At least for the last ten years.
Ha hal… that’s a very, very old photo!
