According to James Graham, Nick Clegg and Vince Cable have followed Lynne Featherstone and quit the PoliticsHome Insider panel following Lord Ashcroft’s purchase. Lynne was however happy to speak at a Total Politics (proprietors M. Ashcroft and I. Dale) LibDem conference fringe meeting.
Does this mean that rival politicians are going to boycott ventures owned by Tories? If so LabourList could be in difficulties, it is hosted online by Tangent Labs, the same people who handle all the Labour Party’s online business. Teldar Paper has 33 different vice presidents each earning over 200 thousand dollars a year.
Now, I have spent the last two months analyzing what all these guys do, and I still can’t figure it out. One thing I do know is that our paper company lost 110 million dollars last year, and I’ll bet that half of that was spent in all the paperwork going back and forth between all these vice presidents.

the EU constitution cannot be applicable to Britain until there has been a referendum upon it.
the constitutional reason for that is because the British Parliament, which includes our Queen, is the Supreme Power in the country.
it is not within politicians and governments gift or power to trade that Supremacy away. MPs, and indeed civil servants, are no more than tenanats. they have no rights or power to authorise such diminishment of the powers of Parliament.
so that means constitutionally the only way the EU constitution can be imposed upon the British Parliament is if the British People, who own the sovereignty of Parliament, vote in favour of their rights being given away to a foreign power.

Over here in Ireland there have been several adverts on the TV urging people to vote for the Lisbon Treaty. None from the No camp.Same in the newspapers. Agreed completely. But it could be all undone IF the Irish vote yes in the referendum. If Lisbon is finally implemented, then we lose all. Labour will have thrown away any option to alter or reform the EU and we will be tied into a fascist, anti-democratic system with no hope of peaceful democratic reform.
Parliament will then cease to be our highest court, and maker and enabler of our laws and the place in which all of our collective sovereignty is expressed on our behalf. It will then become a place where quangocracy is the sole order of the day and will be a place where the EU diktats are rubber stamped and enforced upon the regions. No debates, no votes of any real meaning.

Dissolve parliament, break up the political parties and have the electorate vote for local people who have the interests of the local population at the top of the agenda.

A parliament of independants wouldn’t happen at one election,but be a gradual process,as is the way of things. An independant house would coalese into a consesus,choosing the right man or woman to take the office of Prime Minister. We wouldn’t be stuck with a dead duck leader that cannot be removed due to his drones vested self interest in keeping him there. Their constituents would ensure that. I cannot accept that a parliament of honest,representative members are unable to work for the national interest,as opposed to the party’s interest.
nonvoters.org will have the candidates for each constituency before the next election. (it doesn’t yet) and in each constituency there will be an online vote for which non-mainstream candidate is preferred in that constituency. Hopefully this will give the majority of the electorate a way in which to agree, constituency by constituency, which candidate to back in order to sack the incumbent mainstream candidate.
I say mainstream, but when you take into account the 55%+ who are very reluctant to vote at all and hate all three “mainstream parties” and add them back to the official polls (as the mainstream polling organisations refuse to do), then the “mainstream” parties are not anywhere near as popular as the “mainstream” media would mislead you to believe.
The real figures show that labour are currently down at about 12%, Liberals abour 8% and tories about 20%. others get about 5% and the remaining 55% are excluded from the figures because they tell the pollsters that they will probably not vote as they have been cynically mislead and lied to by the mainstream media into believing that only labour or the tories can win.
IF all these people actually voted, then they would wipe out the mainstream parties almost entirely.
They need to be told and awakened. They are the biggest power block by far and could crush the establishment at a stroke. I am sure that they would love to, given the chance.

I’ve had enough. How about a tax return strike? I can’t withhold my income tax as it is deducted at source. All I can do is make their lives more difficult when it comes to reconciling what I owe from other sources.
I haven’t filled out a return in 3 years despite being requested to. I am being fined but don’t pay that either. I refuse to make the bloated bureaucrats lives easy and fund idiots to whom I owe nothing. I am sure it will catch up with me eventually but it is a great game played slowly.
If everyone did this too the system would grind to a halt and government would have to take notice. There would be too many of us to prosecute.
