I’d be interested in a piece by yourself on why you wouldn’t give up control of this site.

Clearly if Ashcroft wanted a good return on his money he would have put it in a real investment – if Ashcroft wanted to help political blogging he could have *given* the money to the sites – the only reason to buy a majority slice is for editorial/political control… (OK, no emails, faxes or anything traceable in writing, but everyone will be ‘aware’of what is required of them… nudge, nudge, wink, wink…).

A site like this needs only an owner/moderator and the public – what can a ‘money man’or anyone else add?

He’s an embarrassment to any serious Party because of his blatant tax avoidance and shameless politics of the chequebook.

You think Mandy is a disgusting corporate parasite ? Ashcroft is cut from the same cloth and would sell the Tories to the highest bidder every time. If he is still doing this when Cameron is in power expect a scandal or two within months.
