Quote of the Day

Liam Byrne said a year ago

“There are dodgy employers out there who are trying to undercut their competitors and drive down British wages by employing people illegally, so we’ve come up with this new way of taking much faster on-the-spot action.  It’s quite clear that this new regime, which is part of a big shake-up of Britain’s border security, is already beginning to work.”

That Liam Byrne quote in full:

“There are dodgy employers out there who are trying to undercut their competitors and drive down British wages by employing people illegally, so we’ve come up with this new way of taking much faster on-the-spot action. It’s quite clear that this new regime, which is part of a big shake-up of Britain’s border security, is already beginning to work, every bit as well as all the other new legislation that we’ve brought in during the last twelve years.”

…”this new way of taking much faster on-the-spot action”…

So that’s about three years for quangos and committees, consultation with the whole of the poulation of SHuhnehorpe (well Google Maps say it’s an important place), inside leg measurements for ‘shortists’, and a huge report weighing about the same as Prescott’s Revenge Quadburger, with added pie-flavoured groivy…

Then they’ll lose it in the ‘Tony Blair’ Shredder…

Liam Byrne is like a puppet, his jaw flops open like its made of wood and flaps about spewing sawdust, his strings are pulled by his masters.
Like many Labour trolls he want to make a name for himself in the lowly ranks, but instead he comes across just as the No 6 comment made by Gordon Brown!

With the new much faster on-the-spot action, the Baroness ought to be £10,000 lighter by this time tomorrow.

    Erm … no bets?

Maybe if they really wanted to “decontaminate the Labour brand” with business people, they shouldn’t have totally buggered up the economy?

Just a thought.
