“cut lower priority budgets” Who decides upon the prioities? what is more important? Renewing the nuclear detterrent or keeping Glasgow sweet with a couple of aircraft carriers? Is it a greater priority to pay down Gordon’s QE debt or keep failed Banks like Northern Rock going to provide a semblance of employment in Labour heartlands. Will we finally see the end of the ridiculous ID card? Will the unloved, unwanted and entirely ineffective regional government end in an unmarked grave? Bullshit Brown is still in power and has more than enough time to cause more havoc.

Difficult to know who to hold in greater contempt – the speaker or the audience.

From “Tory cuts and Labour investments” to “Cut, cut, cut and CUT”

The one I particularly love is “cut unnecessary programmes”. If they are unnecessary programmes, why do they even exist in the first place? No commentator has yet, to my knowledge, speared this truly fatuous comment and brandished it in the face of the government.
