August is the time for hols, after all. It’s only sad people (like myself) who have nowhere else to go, who stick around.

V good Guido, but to go O/T for a moment – Evan Davis is roughing up a creepy little lightweight on Toady, otherwise known as our Foreign Secretary. A clear win for ED I think.

God, these odious bastards are truly awful. You can always tell when they are lying – their lips are moving.

It was a great interview wasn’t it? Good old Evan, slipped a word in edgeways despite lackyband’s protestations. HJ, …how could you see his lips moving, he was on the radio! or am I missing out on the latest ?technology?!)

A very commendable performance. What would be extremely interesting is a set of comparison figures with other prominent blogs, including that pompous old White fellow.

I spent August here in London, but didn’t look at the site as often as usual, mainly due to the weapons-grade arseholes who ran amok through most of the threads in your absence.

Please will tell Cameron to stop castigating Brown over Lockerbie. Opposing for the sake of opposing is a total turn off for the electorate.

Sqwawketc, agree, why doesn’t he get off the subject and start talking positively about the terrible state of the country. The electorate don’t understand what’s going on vis a vis Megrahi, SNP, the gorgon etc, and probably don’t care. Tories are going to go down the drain if they don’t pull their socks up and start telling the electorate what their principles are. Difficult to go down the drain when you’re up against a party of incompetence, corruption, authoritarianism, and lack of leadership, like newlabour.

I found it curious (or then again, maybe not) that AljaBEEBa overnight were covering the Libyan celebrations of Gaddafi’s 40th anniversary of his ‘coming to power’ via COUP – (Orwellian speak: never forget it was a C O U P!) Of course they had the nominal ‘insider’ vox pop telling us how awful life in Libya really is – which, from other accounts puts him in the minority.

IMO, Libya, like Iran, doesn’t appear to be being systematically destroyed from within.

My stats stayed the same for August but then I wasn’t in foreign lands sunning myself and enjoying the local hospitality. No I’m not jealous, definitely not. No I’m not …

with the prospect of a general election it should be easy enough to hit the 20 million pageviews mark over the next 12 months, innit.

What I love about this blog is that politicians and people who are employed by news media companies and maybe journalists also read the comments.

I really hope that the corrupt thieving bastards have a bit of soft skin somewhere about their person so that the message that they are despised gets through.

This is what happens when you leave the country Guido. I’ll try and make up for my absence last month by paying Paolo The peasant piecework money to keep bashing the f5/refresh key here.

  21. 44

It started in America, of course. When are you bastards going to grasp that?
