John Prezza replies to anon skint and still paying taxes :

If I can just say, in so far as I can, as it is my right, even, to say what i can say, let’s be clear on this one point of order. I had a mobile phone. That is a fact. Not an interesting one but a fact nonetheless. It was my right as a minister, and as a citizen, and as a member of the party, the Labour party. the labour party that has led this country to victory in two world cups and lifted children out of work more than any other country in world history. To clarify, i am outraged that my sex chat, which may or may not have taken place, lets not worry about old news now. Lets worry about new news. like when i asked the police to destroy those incriminating phone messages, or not, as they may or may not exist, did they actually do that.
I demand that the Met answer the question….if they can understand it.

The best interview today was Sir Paul McCartney’s laid back publicist. I was chuckling as the BBC PM interviewer was laying on the lard about how disgraceful phone tapping was and wasn’t he shocked?

The answer was no… Stewart Bell said he and Sir Paul had realised since the late 1990s that things were leaked and there was no other explanation other than their phones were being hacked. “We live in the Big Brother society and have been for years, get used to it and don’t say anything stupid over the phone”. BBC hackette looked stupid — it all looked so good on paper for them, the Guardian and Liebour this morning

If there’s something to it but the story was embelished a little then there really is no point doing anything – it will have disappeared in 48 hours and forgotten about by next week.

Hacking an analogue phone is possible, but not easy.

Hacking a 2G or 3G phone would require the assistance of the Carrier?

Slur or no slur? Mandelson is getting desperate. He is de-facto running our country.

While Wacko Jocko saves the World from overheating.

Well, he did save the World from Financial Meltdown.

      Didn’t he?

      • 64
        Steve Expat says:

Robin – The answerphone ‘hack’ relies on using the default passcode (as described by Guido yesterday), it’s not a hack as much as using the system as intended by the phone’s owner.

To actually hack into GSM or 3G phones is bloody difficult (signal is encrypted) and is probably something for MI5 and the phone company…

What a pity labour MP’s didn’t care enough for the very low paid workers, about 1.3 million of them according to the IFS,yesterday. These very low paid workers are paying the price so that every one else can only pay 20p. Labour had a chance to care yesterday but chose to ignore them.

I don’t seem to have heard john prescott at all yesterday when this was being debated but he seems to care today because he may have had his phone tapped, and that was probably when they found out about him and tracy. Come to that neither did I hear Gordon Brown; too busy agreeing that by 2050 we won’t let the worlds temperatures go up by 2 degrees. You really couldn’t make this up could you?

It really does show where liebours interests lie,
just in titter tatter gossip but DEFINITELY NOT IN REAL HARD WORKING LOW PAID WORKERS. REMEMBER IT WHEN YOU VOTE NEXT TIME.

      Minimum wage

      • 58
        Anonymous says:

immediatley taxed back at 20p instead of 10p. low paid workers now pay proportionately more tax than they did before. The wankers comment assumes of course that because they are piad the minimum wage they can of course afford to pay 20p tax. You see liebour give with one hand and take back with the other, especially with very low paid workers, normally the type of people who have always voted liebour. BUT NOT ANY MORE

Waiting for an economics professor to tell us how many jobs the minimum wage has cost this country. That is of course not including all the other social costs that liebour have heaped on businesses. Woolies is a prime example.

The CPS are fucking usless most of the time.
We had a guy working here who had his debit card nicked from his house along with his notification of PIN by a so called friend. The “friend” then went out on the piss and to the bookies to the tune of £1050.
Our colleague supplied all the evidence and the “friends” address to the Police and The CPS came back with no action due to a lack of evidence….. He took the case up with his bank and they gave him the bum’s rush. Our colleague is 71 years old lives by himself, is hard of hearing and has poor eyesight. Welcome to justice in the UK. We are now helping him through the ombudsman process.

You may already know this, but the ombudsman (whilst very helpful) will make you wait 10 weeks for the bank to decide what to do. In the meantime, you can count on the bank to intimidate you.

Remarkably I found that my bank (trying to deny security incompetence in respect of the fraudulent use of my card) proved to be shit-scared of the Finances and Lending Association – their own “Trade Association”. I don’t know why. Maybe they can’t trade if they fall foul of the FLA.

Pursue it with the FLA. They say they won’t help if you are also using the Ombudsman, but I ignored that and got a good result.

Good luck on behalf of the Old Man.

      • 108
        Allan@Aberdeen says:

I think that the CPS is actually a protective cloak for those of the ruling clique. If none of the authorities took action against a miscreant, such as one of the MPs who fraudulently claimed expenses, a member of the public could take up a private prosecution. This is when the CPS steps in because the CPS’s ‘investigations’ could declare insufficient evidence of wrong-doing, and the private prosecution is thereafter not allowed to proceed nor to re-commence.

Can anyone else confirm that this is the case?
