Newsnight’s Politics Pen

Tim Montgomerie and Iain Dale have got quite worked up about the Newsnight line-up for its Politics Pen experiment. Essentially the charge is they had four Labour insider / cronies vetoing public expenditure control policies from wonks (and a comedian).
The political Dragon’s Den / Politics Pen types were Lord Digby Jones (former Labour Minister), Deborah Mattinson (Gordon Brown’s pollster), Matthew Taylor (Blair’s Head of Policy) and Greg Dyke (former Labour donor and luvvie of the nineties).
Not being known as one to miss a chance to bash the BBC you might be surprised to hear Guido thinks the Newsnight editor Peter Rippon has a point. He can balance this panel in another show with a panel of right-of-centre panelists giving the thumbs up or thumbs down to advocates for quangos and big spending departments.
The next panel could listen to those making the case for spending just as the previous panel listened to those making the case for expenditure control… they will do that, right?

Oh yes, they’ll do that.
Right after the next election…
Dale can get stuffed, preening queen.
Quite funny though. Handbags at dawn me thinks.
Homophobe!
I’m gay as the day is long!!
Do you guys think I mention the fact that I’m GAY enough? I think I could emphasise it a bit more. Emphasising the differences = diversity
Yipeeeee!!!!!
I’m gay gay gay gay gay!!! And I love telling everyone that I’m gay!!!!!
Gay !!
That’s what I am!! Gay!!!
This is my favourite song:
I’m gay!!
C’est la vie!
I think this is a serious case of stuffing Labour propaganda into almost a quarter of a prime news slot by our public broadcaster.
Below is a summary of the facts of the blatant Labour/Socialist biasedness in BBC’s Newsnight’s “Polirtics Pen”:
———————-
Background
———————-
The “Politics Pen” on Newsnight runs every Tuesday and borrows the format and set of the BBC’s popular Dragons Den. It differes from Dragon’s Den by using a panel of “political experts” to decide on a range of political proposals which are presented by various prominent proposers from business, politics, the public sector and even from show business. It lasts for about 13 minutes out of Newsnight’s entire length of about 48 minutes.
———————-
Bias 1
———————-
The entire panel is staffed by people who support or have donated significant time and funds to the Labour Party:
Matthew Taylor
Previous and current roles: Labour Party member, Labour parliamentary candidate, Labour Party’s assistant general secretary, Senior political adviser to Tony Blair. Son of left wing broadcaster Laurie Taylor.
http://www.davidrowan.com/2003/09/observer-matthew-taylor-profiled.html
Digby Jones
Labour government’s minister for Trade (2007 – 2008)
http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/news/article.html?in_article_id=421842&in_page_id=2
Greg Dyke
Labour activist and candidate, donated £55,000 to the Labour Party.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/talking_point/378018.stm
Deborah Mattinson
Employed by the Labour party. Provides free pro Gordon Brown polls.

http://order-order.com/tag/deborah-mattinson/
———————-
Bias No. 2
———————-
The panel approves the majority of left wing proposals and rejects the majority of right wing proposals.
On 23rd June three right of centre policies were proposed, only one approved.
Last Week:
Gillian Tett – Quash the quangos –
DECLINED
Andrew Haldenby – End universal benefit –
DECLINED
Frederick Forsyth – End ID cards –
APPROVED
On 30th June, three left wing policies were proposed, all approved
Patrick Cordingley
Weaken Britain’s nuclear capability
APPROVED
Tim Horton, Research Director at left of centre Fabian Society (ex-Treasury civil servant)
Increase tax on people’s houses
APPROVED
Danny Sriskandarajah, Director, Royal Commonwealth Society
Migrant Amnesty, allow more immigration
DECLINED
———————-
Bias No. 3
———————-
Each judge has a chance to talk to camera at length where they describe the mostly left wing reasoning in each judgment they make.
———————-
Bias No. 4
———————-
This very long item is broadcast in the middle of Newsnight, one of the BBC’s prime news programmes and supoosedly poilitically unbiased. There was no equivalent 13 minute slot for a right of centre propaganda piece.
Homophobe!!! I’m Iaaiin Dale and I’ll say whatever the frick I want coz I’m a gay! I’m pink!! Yipppeeeeeee!!
I love being gay
and I love my big hunk of a civil partner! He’s swell!
Gay gay gay gay gay!! I’m gay!!
Did I mention that I’m gay?!
Piss off!
I like Mr Dale’s remarks and analyses on his web-log. They’re not immensely deep in learning or intrigue, but most are pertinent to the affairs of the day, clever, accurate and sometimes he manages to uncover a secret in Westminster others have overlooked or ignored.
Didn’t even know (or care, still don’t) about his private sensual relations until it was the subject of sarcasm on Guido’s blog (by an anonymous observer).
You left us somewhat concerned about your mental condition tho’ !

Be Matthew Taylor a batty boy?!?!?
*********************
*********************
Dales a joke and his judgement has been verging on the lunatic since he grovelled humiliatingly in support of his bonkers fag hag Madine.
Iaaaaaaain Dale in your various guises you are Damian McBride peddling your filth and I claim my £5.
not flash just newsnight I suspect
Peter Luff is in a huff. Oh dear, perhaps he shouldn’t have claimed all those expenses?
Isn’t he the MP from Evesham who used the taxpayers to finance his shopping addiction?
Newsnight just went big on the continuing phone tapping scandal now involving scores of journalists tapping thousands of phones under Cameron’s spin doctor Andy Coulsons regime.
Panels are useless. They are a roundtable format which merely allows Newsnight to pretend to step outside overt Party lines claiming to get “independent” opinions while everyone else knows the panelists always have a dog in the Political fight.
Straight reporting and less of this lifestyle chatty roundtable guff please.
Just to clarify that’s Newsnight I’m talking about who should drop some of these nutty Media twonk ideas and get back to in-depth reporting.
Hear here! Newsnight used to be a flagship jornalistic programme, often leading with something different to the main news of the day, in order to present a 15 minute in-depth story which would start a debate on a pertinent issue of the day – in the same way as the Sunday broadsheets do.
Now it has become as overtly politicised as the rest of the Beeb, just towing the (Labour) party line like the rest of their ‘news’ output…
They can’t even get ‘straight reporting’ right half the time: did anyone else wonder what the hell the ‘Basil Treaty’ is on one of their useless graphics tonight (Wed. 8th.)? Shades of Fawty Towers; I bet they meant the ‘Basel Treaty’ – but there were two of those, so which one?
The only way we can stimulate business, improve performance and skills and get out of this recession is by increasing spending which Brown is right to do. Everything else is dreg. Britain is now a much better place than it was in 1997, so jeez just give the ranting a rest and open your eyes!
What the fuck are you talking about you knob?
I can’t fucking move in my own country for fucking stinking immigrants everywhere I fucking turn. I’m fed up of scrounging fuckers. Many are here to earn an honest living and are quite happy to integrate. Great, good on them. But there are hundreds of thousands of cheating, ungreatful manipulative shits out there ruining our country as we speak. Time we stood up and were counted before it’s too late.
By the way, Dale is an attention-seeking freak, regardless of his sexuality which he so annoyingly feels compelled to highlight every time he types or opens his cock-sucking gob.
Yeah right, Softwidge.
As if I’d take criticism seriously from a fuckiing lightweight who thinks parrotting the same limpdick ineffectual talking point from a doomed Brown camp hopelessly lost under the weight of their own clearly failing spin.
Take a look at the polls moron. I know you are a narcissistic delusional nutjob but sooner or later it’s going to sink in that the cuts V’s spending spin isn’t working and can’t work because the public doesn’t BELIEVE Brown. He isn’t trusted.
And if you were actually keeping up with the Politics instead of parroting talking points you would know that cuts V’s spending is going to be quietly dropped as the Election nears as there is no way Brown can maintain the lie that he won’t be cutting public spending anymore than Cameron or Clegg will.
I’ll do you a favour and tell you what the new talking point is, since you hilariously have to be informed of current Labour thinking despite being one of their mindless drones. Labour will try and fight the Election on a who do you trust to cut the least from Public services, while highlighting the NHS.
Of course it won’t work either as it still relies on the public trusting Brown which they don’t but it has a slightly better chance of working when he is likely replaced with Milliboy or Johnson in the coming months.
But it’s still a feeble attackdog strategy that has zero chance of turning their dire polling around sufficiently to win in a crippling recession.
Simple minded namecalling and badmouthing the other guys will not save Labour or Brown and you are delusional if you think it ever could.
The only way we can stimulate our business, improve performance and skills and get out of this recession is by using magic beans which Brown is planning to do. He threw them into the garden of No 10 tonight.. In the morning an enourmous beanstalk will have arisen and Jack Straw can climb up and steal some golden eggs..
La-la-la-di-i-la-la
Fishponds-seatbelts-financial masterbaiter – tr la – etc.
Shan’t be rahnd tomorrer. The donkey ate the strawberries.
Fol di dee.
Primark sales up 20% this year
Just what does GB or any of his Party know about ‘stimulating the economy’ a collection of gesture politicians lining their own pockets and those of their friends. They have stimulated the HoL,I grant you, more peerages etc since the days of King Charlie!
Unless it is to create a mound of non-public Service jobs As for the better place since 1997, that is really a come on, not even GB believes that titbit!!
I’ll stimulate your economy, big boy.
Ya geddit? Ya geddit?
Ya will if ya cum round my place, big boy.
Ya geddit? Ya geddit?
Only gay in the blog, I am etc etc…
What a sensible and profitable idea.
After all, it is a health issue and not a criminal one.
It would pump atleast five billion pounds into the economy every year.
LEGALISE IT AND REGULATE IT PROPERLY.
Tell that to the marines! CH
Phone tapping scandal? The phones were unsecured which is the equivalent of leaving the door wide open and being surprised when the neighbours take a peek at your hall carpet.
Absolutely correct on that score Ryan,it is akin to posting confidential information in a transparent envelope. What should be excercising the public is how many members of the public are actively tapped at any one time, the most recent figure was one in four hundred adults arrived at by division of adult population by RIBA requests granted in ONE year
Slapper Maitlis going on to Darling about those evil bankers. Funny that the whole tripartite regime which was set up by….. yep the one eyed jock gay boy has been erased from the collective memory of the BBC.
Darlings spouting unbelievable guff.
He’s stalling and clearly doesn’t have a clue how to repair his own failed broken tripartate banking and regulatory system.
And now they’ve got that bloke from ‘pensions’ on, Angela Eagle. Aaaaargh
Spoooooooooookie!
She really is looking more and more like a cheap slapper every day – which would be fine if she know what the fuck she was talking about.
Darling was running rings around her in that interview and she was asking only soft questions, with no real challenge to the policies he had just announced.
What do we pay BBC journalists for again?
On the contrary I think Emily Mantis has a good interviewing technique. She tends to go very soft almost flirting to give the person she is interviewing false confidence and make them think she fancies them, and then often they get confused and depart from the preordered script and slip up.
his only works with red blooded males (ie as an interview with Lord Archer proved a few months ago)
However with the likes of Mandleson and no doubt Brown she is the wrong sex to attract them.
As for her interview with Darling I don’t quite know except if you watched her she clearly showed her contempt at the dishonest answers he gave her.
If I was a floating voter, following that interview I would think ‘That man is not fit to be Chancellor of the Exchequer@
Be fair. Darling wanted to dump the FSA overboard but its creator told him no way. A Brown decision is a permanent decision and must remain until it is far, far too late to gain any benefit by changing tack.
Then he U-Turns.
“Emily Mattress”, please. Accord the lady her proper title.
The BBC is institutionally biased against the Tories. Cameron is keeping a note of all examples of bias and will use this as evidence to sort out the BBC after the next election.
Yentob, Toenails, Marr, Sopel, Pienaar, and all the other Labour shills will get their cards.
Your not seriously suggesting the BBC is nothing more than a quango who’s function is to act as the mouth piece for Government propaganda interspersed with populist shite are you?
propanda-R-us
They’re all the left overs from the grand battle that was waged against Thatcher. Out of place, out of time, their political orientation is awry. Let’s have some balance BBC, less political correctness, less obfuscation, tell us the truth for a change!
Rubbish, they’ll just toe the Cons line a bit – all for ‘balance’. Fuck them.
I’m gonna bug all your phones and rule the world.Watch your lip or i’ll send Rebekah round. She’s abit handy, just ask Ross.
She wasn’t quite so handy when she hilariously turned down the expenses disk because the ex SAS middle man was asking what she thought was too much cash for it.
Ross Kemp On Violent Women.
She gave Kemp a hiding because she came back from Elton’s Birthday to her Battersea pad and found himself in bed with Guy Black of the press complaints commission.
Went nuts and laid into him…..spent the night in Lavender Hill nick.
Funny how that wasn’t reported in the press….
Can I make a complaint!!
Alistair Darling needs some top brains to supervise his Banking Reforms. I’ve got in mind two great blokes who would have arguably done a far better job during those critical years 2002-2006
http://www.thechucklebrothersontour.co.uk/
You can be so naive sometimes, young man!
So how did they work out which one the comedian was ?
Speaking of Newsnight, did anyone see those pricks talking about pensions? They had Lucy, a “senior researcher” from reform talking shit about wanting to work past 65. She isn’t doing a real fucking job to start with. And she was 25 at most?!
And in their report about it, some arse from Demos was trying to spin that people “wanted to work past 65″
These fuckers are totally unbelievable. My dad has just reached retirement. He has worked as an engineer for over 30 years. Some fucker who talks shit for a living wants to work past 65? Try doing a real, hard, manual job for that time.
Sorry if this is sounding like a rant, its just this is really getting my fucking goat. I’m only waiting for The Wire to start to.
Looks like we’ll be working until death once the pound crashes.Unless youve got a pension like Yentobs.
yes
it’s actually in the small print of the latest Finance Bill, which also includes the notion that no one will get government help in the form of benefits until they are dead.
watch this space……….
‘By 2050 there will only be 2 workers to every shirker’ and all they can talk about is for people to save harder. WTF , how about fuck harder more like. We need more people for fucks sake.
Encourage marriage perhaps, cap house price rises so a single wage earner can maintain a mortgage.
Lefty bastards, I will be 83 in 2050 and have to wipe me own bumhole. No fucking minimum wage care assistant for me.
They’ll rob savers through inflation, means testing and tax.
Fuck that, I’m not working past 55 – other bastards can work if they want to.
Hows a hard manual labour job or construction worker going to work on when they’re pratically on deaths door by 50 they’re bodies are past it after years of hard graft. I don’t seen grandads lugging around 50kg beams and 10kg tool kits somehow.
But the government gain if we work ’til we drop. So that’s what they’re planning for. Got to get enough money in the kitty so that they can live in the comfortable style they’ve become accustomed to. Only the best for our rulers. Puts one in mind of Henry 8th and his incredible extravagances.
As the old saying goes “the only differance between a socialist state and a totalitarian state is time” it is becoming obvious the hell these bastards have been busy planning for us through all the legislation snuck in under the guise of compassion down the decades, what next a carreer guidance facilitator urging the fresh out of school to remove any danger of unemployment by playing with a revolver.face it ,the international left hate people, they will not say it is so but to them hell is other people and it is always mankinds selfishness in reproducing that is to blame. But they never offer to depart prematurely themselves!
Stash as much gold and silver as you can.See you all at Newark.
I’m not working past 9.15……am
and it’s holidays soon yippee
82 days you know
yippee
It’s already being spun in the MSM that working into old age is a healthy thing to do. Helps prevent dementia etc.
just watched the newsnight interview with Alistair Darling and have had about enough of the Scottish twats that are in charge of the UK, had to listen to him saying with glee that RBOS is the largest bank in the world(how does this happen, when a piss pot little bank formed in a piss pot little country ends up as the largest in the world it means we the English people have been shafted by a bunch of communist sweaty socks). Then the BBC has the audacity to report that we cant afford retirement anymore and that it is consigned to history and we need to realise that sitting back and doing nothing whilst being handed money from the state is not acceptable anymore, does this apply to all the scottish scaghead single mothers or just the poor bastard english workers, of course the dumb fuck token women on the programme then start talking about womens issues and how everything will be OK when new regulations that the scottish twats in charge have thought up come into effect in 2012. To all scots i say this, FUCK ALL SWEATY SOCKS, Its time to kick them all out of england, close the border to their movement and then start a new anglo-scottish war.
bet you can not say that again.
Remember when this country had the best pensions provision in the whole of Europe ?
I soon sorted that out, did n’t I ???
Bring it on Dickhead! You probably voted for the fucks!
You think i might have ever voted for Labour, hehe you must be illiterate, you scotish twat!

Where’s my gun would have sufficed the second time around, but I’m not knocking the sentiment.
HSBC is the largest bank in the world i thought and is so big and profitable it didn’t even need bailed out
Apologies the repeat was not intentional
A twatty little bigot AND a parrot. Impressive!
I’m sure you strike fear into the hearts of all those who constantly laugh at you every day.
You forgot cattle trucks and “resettlement in the east” .
Hoon !
No, i did not suggest this as i only hate the fucking Scottish like you, such people who can only reply by inferring i am a Nazi, no they were left wing national socialists like you, you Prick. I am right wing in my views, go get some history lessons. I bet i am a better shot than you and would gladly put it to the test if given half the chance. Keep pushing and i hope you get your deepest wish and go form a union with the Germans and the rest of the real fascists that run Europe, the Scottish fascists that are currently in charge of england will be out on their ear soon enough why don’t you go join them and FUCK OFF. Dirty fucking sweaty socks! POLLY WANT A CRACKER!
And just in case you didn’t notice unlike the Nazis i want you to be Armed with weapons too, you fucking ignorant communist.
Doesn’t take much for delicate Dale the media whore to get worked up. Bless!
And they called Basel II ‘Basil II’. Ignorant twats
Ijits! The BBC catches up with the blog news about 6 months late.
That’s a fair point Guido – give them the opportunity to balance things out next time. If they don’t, well I expect you’ll kick them where it hurts.
I’m not going to expect a balanced approach, so I hope you’ll be be getting a pair of steel toe-caps boots ready.
Who gives a fuck? They’ll do just what the damned hell they want to, and get away with it.
You tossers are small fry to the machine.
Al-BBC is extortion funded, so of course it will be biased towards authoritarian socialists.
Only subscription will make it listen.
It’ll never happen unless a massive group of people hold back the fee and the papers report on it and other people then get bold enough to do it.
At the moment the Beeb can pick off the odd stragglers that do it one by one but they’d have a hard time prosecuting 100 people.
For the first time ever I resent paying my BBC ‘subscription’. The programmes ( with one or two tiny exceptions) are biased and poor. Repeats without number. Strange contributors like tony blair, blunkett, A. campbell, etc etc, . Far too pro establishment, and old fashioned in a politically correct careful sort of way. In other words not keeping up with the times. I still blame alistair campbell! Radio 4 used to be the tops, but now has deteriorated, popularised, and gone down market. Like everything else I suppose, with newlabour .
Does all life in England revolve around “telly”?
Yes.
Haven’t seen What The Fuck… yet.
As it did in the glorious 70s, eh Telly?
BGT? BigBro? Dragon’s Den? WTF?! this is a post about a TV program, or did you not bother reading it?
Check this piece of collaborative action between Labour (Harriet Harman) and the BBC (David Dimbleby) on Question Time. Ian Duncan-Smith is making a point about how social breakdown is driving public expenditure and HH signals to DD that IDS should be stopped. DD waves her away somewhat embarrassedly as he is aware that cameras are rolling – but then he does as she instructs. And they demand that we pay for this shit?
http://biased-bbc.blogspot.com/2009/07/brown-broadcasting-corporation.html
Since a lad I have watched Question Time and it has always had a loaded audience. If you put the rolling Ceefax comments on, Wow what a different story.
99% are up in arms at most of the left wing bullshit.
does ceefax still exist lol i aint seen it in years.
Indeed it does. I would kid myself I was online and surf the pages of Ceefax. But now I have a real ‘Computermibob’ and can do the real thing.
So to all you pensioners and tight wads who still aint online go fuck yourself.
The news stories on ceefax are exactly the same as the ones on the bbc website, so all those millions of quids the bbc spends on its web presence and it ends up with ceefax + some photos
It’s not just that it’s left wing/right wing. It’s that people aren’t really allowed to say what they think. David Dimbleby literally squints if the tiniest bit of honesty breaks through. Last week h. harman was under the illusion that she was running the show and Dimbleby partly confirmed this. They allowed one maverick in to the team , – (what a concession), he wasn’t a ‘party speak’ tribal politician for a change. What a predictable set up ?time is! I could answer all the ?s myself when I see who’s on the panel. Dimbleby, for god’s sake break out of your lethargy, and let people say what they really think, just for a change!
The Dimbel-Bies have founded the family fortune by succession, as I speak Dimbelby Junior is being taught his BBC’s in readiness for the Question Time throne.
I can remember my father years ago complaining about Richard Dimbleby being
on the BBC too much. He would say often,
‘That man Dimbleby’s on breakfast supper and tea’.
yes, i saw that and was appalled, the best thing that the Tories could do after the next general election in order to promote honesty and integrity and a new trust in our MP’s is scrap the BBC!
You’ll never see this on newsnight or on the BBC;
http://www.islam4uk.com/current-affairs/uk-news/46-uk/304-review-of-birmingham-islamic-roadshow
watch the min long video
Nice to know the National Lottery fund money is going to a good causes.
You might not have noticed after the NoW shenanigans but the Times has a little furore of its own. Pursuing a relentlessly green agenda under the new editor its sponsored a Global warming thingy at Oxford starring Al Gore: who referred to opponents to his pseudo sientific quackery as Nazis. This was reported by the Scotsman and the Daily Mail and even initially by the Times on Times Online: but they soon took that down and replaced it with the more anodyne Blitz spirit etc.
You can find the original cached on Google et al.
Moreover the Times has also closed its blog to all comments about this.
So the parts of the blogosphere concerned with Global warming are starting to buzz.
Music to the ears at Murdoch towers you imagine? especially when the Times the previous day published a ludicrously hyped article about the dangers to the Great Barrier Reef, gone in 20 years, loss of jobs, 2 billion in aussie money at risk et, just that the time when the Rudd government finds its cap and trade bill is in real trouble.
The blogosphere has its own views about that too.
What was it about this mighty Murdoch? the man who can make or break democratic governments?
In my opinion the Panel in Newsnight couldn’t run a welk stall on Blackpool Beach. There combined ability is as the fool of a Prime Minister said of increased spending 0%
Chose a panel of achievers. People who have started from nothing and created businesses that employ people.
To help these type of people create businesses and create employment is the only true way forward for this country. Real people creating real jobs.
To help them we need to reduce taxes. To reduce taxes we need to slash state spending.
Lets have a real panel look at the ideas and you would have sensible debate from people who had had to work efficienly mostly on shoestrings to suceed.
This country can become a great nation again but Govenment spending needs to be cut by 75%. It would meen great jobs losses amongst state workers. Some would be unemployable because they have no real abilities, but through time the majority would find real jobs and contribute to the wealth and future of this country.
It would for a short time increase unemployment, but would be cheaper for the country to pay unemployment benifit than the inflated wages and immorally high pension costs, but within time (and I suspect very quickly) because of the massive benefits due to the tax cuts that would be made possible the unemployment figures will reduce to the smallest ever.
ive the public money and they will spend it quickly.
Unfortunatly I don’t see any political party would take such a brave step.
Come back Margaret Thatcher!
The Sniper is coming for You!
Guido this site is very quiet, as the shit it the fan.
ZZZZZZZ
Its twats like you who lick the arse of the establishment is why the country is in the shit, I don’t give a fuck who you support.
I would imagine guido has any positions covered , is hardwidge at the G8 ??
The rich man’s in his castle,
The poor man at his G8 (geddit?).
Andrew neil makes few salient points in the times on Andy Coulson NOTW days , Kelvin Mckenzie made and interesting point on Djangoly and pointed out the political dimensions of Coulson loss in court no wonder they were waiting for mcbride, draper and wheelan to cock up .
meanwhile in L Aquilla , the great leader takes some comfort he is visiting a place that suffered a terrible earthquake and sad loss of life in april , noting that it had been pre jonahed . Yet back at home as Harriet wore her flame resistant suit only for Vince Cable to remind her about how wonk legislation can be in natural urges .
As the Han dynasty contemplates how non Hans can die nastily ,CW hopes that the wonk socialists will retire to there toilet cubicle and systems control porn pravda , to tug on the unatural idaological organ that gave rise to the planet death and cultural diversity loss scenario that anyone who sees a river delta in china, india, africa ,europe or america can smell, touch and see .
G8 could well be another helping of pork scratchings .Broon may yet have to explain how his genius gave us the double dip that gave us the most clapped out economy or for that matter the most despotic governement, long time since a British primie minister has pulled off that hat trick. U turns in a back drop of U bends yet all the time the labour mind bends are at work .
torchwood anyone !! male kissing with tongues might save the planet , now heres my sonic probe .
Salient Point!!! are you fucking mad ? There are several hundred crooks and their henchmen fucking the people of this country all ways and you think it is all down to one party; I really do despair.
you havent read the article then Oh dear !!
I think you need to lie down in a dark room.
If I was to appear on the Newsnight’s Politics Pen I would be suggesting that ALL public money is cut from the BBC. So the BBC in al forms (TV, Radio, Web, Education etc…) would have to become subscription channels on Sky or some place else.
So no more TV licence/tax fee
Yep, kill the BBC. As a matter of fact they’re on the way out anyway. The telly tax is unsustainable, so the BBC want to tax all broadband connections and pipe their shite to the sheeple that way. Trouble is, the network won’t take it; neither will the ISPs (BT are already complaining about the bandwidth hogging of iPlayer); and, more to the point, neither will business nor the hundreds of thousands of the TV-free, such as me.
Thompson and his droogs, parasites that they are, must find some other way to suck the nation’s blood.
The bbc and the rest of the msm are the principal mechanism by which to influence the perceptions and opinions of the people. If the license fee is dismantled what will happen is probably, as Thompson suggested, that the fee will be included on the council tax bill making it impossible to have the choice not to subsidise the state propoganda machine. There is, I’m afraid, no escape.
everybody is keeping very quiet about all the tory troughers in the news these last few days.
Allah will fuck your piquet fence
Oh Bollocks, i’ve just painted the bastard as well.
A well-known politician once said:
“As we know, there are known knowns.
There are things we know we know.
We also know there are known unknowns.
That is to say we know there are some things we do not know.
But there are also unknown unknowns, the ones we don’t know – we don’t know.
We know that the BBC will spend your money defending the New Labour Government.
The Bank of England is set to pump an extra £25 billion into the recession-blighted UK economy.
Quantitative easing programme – effectively printing more money.
It’s all funny money anyhow.
And so it snows tiddly pom.”
It’s all ‘funny’ money. The government creates bonds out of thin air and the the bank of England creates that money at the stroke of a pen, which it then loans back to the government at interest secured on the promise of tax receipts. Fractional reserve banking, ie all banking is effectively a fraud.
If the government can create bonds out of thin air why can’t it create pound notes without the interest burden liable to the bank of England and eliminate the growing national debt to the banks.
because printing more money be it the old fashioned way or the new electronic way devalues the pound notes that you may already hold in your pocket and this causes people in other countries to sell any pound notes they may hold as investments which devalues the pound and makes imports much more expensive and as we don’t really manufacture anything in this country any more this makes nearly everything more expensive,so in conclusion the only thing that printing money(either way) does is give the moron brown more money to spend with his grand announcements whilst at the same time making things MORE EXPENSIVE!!! believe all the Quantitative Easing bullshit spouted by the BBC recently all you like all that will happen is that things will get much more expensive much quicker.

Has anybody told Dismal McEeyore that somebody has pissed on and killed that thistle patch he was saving for his birthday?
No leaks about Andy Coulson, eh?
Funny that, innit.
Hardwidge, there is no need to stimulate business, we just need to reduce the number of benefit thieves poncing off the productive
By that I assume you include the billions being lost on corporate tax dodging by the great and the good. Those numbers dwarf the pennies to support te lack of employment for the masses.
Keep believing the bullshit – if you point at those at the bottom, you’re not looking at the real troughers and swindlers at the top.
Good point Guido. The BBC are not that stupid as to load a panel of pro Labour “experts”. You can be sure that there will be another programme which will have “the other view”. As for Coulson…not sure he is safe yet as this story has legs and he may have to go. If Gordon Taylor got a £700,000
pay out and there are 100′s of people who have been illegally recorded then the chances of a group action against Murdoch’s publications is very real. Then you can start thinking in terms of many millions.
That ‘panel’ is totally bogus! Jobs for the boys (and one girl) springs to mind. M Taylor thinks he’s suave, and he just looks sinister. The woman thinks shes Polly toynbee (god forbid), the once business man now turned newlabour grandee now turned business man pontificates, and G. Dyke (bless him), he’s just there to pick up the pay cheque! Watched it once, that’s enough, another rubbish programme on tv.
We celebrate Guy Fawkes Failure…… (not our current host)
…maybe it is time to right this wrong and take control of Parliament during their 82 days of holiday as I am sure we could not make a worse job then the current encumbents!
Who do you vote for otherwise? We have had over 16 years of apathy from our leaders with 3 parties all vying for the same middle ground till Brown took us on his excursion of Orwell’s cyber socialism creating a Soviet Britain that he can preside over like a Starlinistic Manikin. We need more Dennis Skinners and Norman (now Lord) Tebbits to define party policy! Could you ever imagine Heath being assumed heir apparent to Wilson as Cameron is content to be over Blair!
The current state of parliament with all it’s Ministries of Incompitence will leave a bad taste in everyone’s mouth for years to come, but beware who ever takes over is not given a mandate of arrogance as we have experienced after the local elections!
This panel is hideously white.
“Deborah Mattinson is employed by the Labour party – but her contributions to the Pen are not from a party political point of view – she is a pollster telling us what the likely public reaction would be to the ideas proposed.”
as just a case study in Rippon’s nonsense…
Is this why she supported abolishing parliament but decline abolishing regional assemblies.
