There was an interesting suggestion on Brillo’s Daily Politics on Monday that the BBC should be included in Cameron’s new ‘Bonfire of the Quangos’. Expect some pragmatic ‘rebalancing’ of their news output.

It reminds me of the film [Hotel Sahara, 1951, fact fans] in which Peter Ustinov frantically changes the framed political portraits with every shift of fortune in the war in North Africa. Shifty, unprincipled trough-rats.
