Random Spot Check on a Political Piggy

Guido will be going through MP’s expenses at random today, amazingly Tom Watson’s expenses are the first randomly selected for detailed examination. Fancy that, him looking just like a piggy and all…

Lord Lamont told ITV News…
“I think the PM is just human and Ed Balls is a pretty irritating person”

Quick look at McSnot:
April to June 2007, claims £99 for “[Blanked Out] TV”
I’d guess it originally read: “Shirley the TV”, anyone know different?
R56
Timney’s TV ?
Might I clarify the word “TV” /
Do I understand it to refer to television as opposed to transvestite ??
My mind is running riot, please help ??
I think, you would benefit from examining your world view and self image
before getting too certain about that. Certainly, this statement can be
considered arrogant and grossly insensitive. Unreal. La-la.
You fXXXXX cXXXXXX bXXXXXX cXXXXX mXXXXXXX-fXXXXXXX.
(Redacted version)
Probably his subscription to Sky TV.
So weak
The missing words are “bestial pornography on”.
Or possibly “repairing damage done by flying stapler to”
Redacted: “Subscription to Red Hot…”
One word TRANSPARENCY!!!!
to rodger a TV ?
There’ll obviously be no ‘porkie pies’ involved, will there ?
I deplore your cynicism. Why can’t we look for the good in people? If things don’t improve round here I’m going to flounce off, like I did on Labour List.
Shape up or I ship out, the choice is yours.
Adieu.
Im looking …. hmmmm…. can’t find anything here ….. what’s this?…..agh, nothing, just an old piece of paper with Bliar’s expenses on it…..rubbish ….
BYE ! BYE !
I’ve randomly selected my own MP for detailed analyis – Emily Thornberry. Even her signature has been redacted for some God-known reason. Difficult to know what’s going on when there is more black on the page than white.
The Telegraph will be publishing a ‘supplement’ on Saturday apparently…..I suspect that could be a mighty and interesting tome.
Great! looking forward. Thanks DT.
I can understand the signature being blacked out. Wouldn’t want people forging it, after all.
But I take your point about more black than white on the page. What gets me is that on my MP’s expenses, “expenditure category” is blanked out. WTF???
the identity fraudster would probably cost us less than MP
My MPs signature is blacked out in some places but not in others! Was he pissed some of the time and couldn’t write his signature properly in the blacked out spots?
someone signed for him?
Some sleazy Soho club perhaps
I wish I’d bought shares in Print&Prosper given the amount of black ink used.
Petrol up 5 p last month. Highest rise ever in one month. If inflation takes off the interest rates will rise. Home owners with large mortgages will weep. Spending will collapse. The danger is coming out of recession not going into it.
Gordon keeps on telling us that enegry and food prices are falling. Which world does he live in? It’s certainly not ours!
Perhaps Gordon’s claiming more so his shopping bills are continuously going down ?
How I dislike the term “going down”.
Cannot we all be more polite around here?
Is there ANY WAY AT ALL of removing a mentally unstable PM from office? I presume that’s what Lord Scandalson of Sleazebum is working on right now – and giving the odd thought to how he can replace the said sad shell of a man, even though it be he’s docked in the dear old Lords right now.
The unreceipted £400 a month one
Wot?
Bring it on. Saver’s revenge.
You’ve got it and it is only going to get worse. Once interest rates start to rise and no doubt taxes too then the r word will not be recovery but recession again and maybe worse the d word. God help us and our children with this lot in power. Still Hardwinger will be happy, bless him.
The gorgon’s got to get the money in somehow. He bankrupted us, remember?
Ming Campbell had a receipt for £150 which only showed his name. Everything else was blacked out.
Transparency, my arse!
Its Billy Bunter! Yaroo! Beasts!
If only we could Remove these Fat Owls.
Got excited the, thought you said ‘breasts’.
Mummy, I want you.
Michael Fallon in 2007 claimed £150 every month for food = entitlement claim, not real claim.
Tony Blair’s expense details are all blanked out – no transparency in publication there.
He has the most to hide where there is greatest silence.
My Lord, on that basis what the hell do trappists get up to?
The French say that he who shouts loudest about the smell of the fart is the bastard who did it.
I see we bought Tom a MacBook Pro… nothing but the best then.
Indeed – if he wanted to have a macbook, a decent MP would go for the cheaper non pro version. Not like he’s doing anything beyond writing letters and picking up emails, so why does he need the top of the range one that’s intended for music/video/graphics?
More to the point, given that he only needs it for the above mentioned usage, why couldn’t he opt for a nice cheap £300 dell (or other similar manufacturer) laptop.
Everyone knows that Apple’s products are far more expensive than their competitors. As you say Guido, he’s a pig, and in far more than just his looks. In fact, sorry – that’s insulting to pigs, as they are quite nice and decent creatures. Watson’s just a thieving piece of shit.
Pigs prefer Apples to (Pentland) Dells?
Oh Dear ! As own goals go, blacking out all the flipping details before release, really would be hard to beat. Totally destroyed any remaining chance that the public would accept honerable members’ plea for self regulation.
Even those razor sharp investegative journalists at the brown broadcasting corp were moved to remark that it was a teeny bit unfortunate.
Why should they worry? They have another year before the election, during which time they can squeeze even more money out of us. They know they won’t get the new expenses regulations through before then.
Another fat fuck who has no respect for himself, his health or his looks. So why should anyone expect him to have respect for any of us…
It dismays me to read such unnecessary crudities.
It puts me off my crudités.
Totally random then…
Will Hoon be randomly selected next?
As adresses are blacked out we can’t tell who is (or isn’t) flipping. The Telegraph does tell us however, so what is the point of publishing this? Perhaps some concerned MP can come up with an answer here.
I’ve made a totally non-random for my own analysis, namely my own MP, Siobhain McDonagh.
The very first thing I saw was a claim for services from the Barnad Braggins Partnership, who apparently are consultants in political campaigning. I’ve often received mailshots from Ms McDonagh which are decidedly party political in nature, and always wondered whether this is paid for by Labour Party funds or by me.
Now I know. Isn’t it against the rules to claim for party political campaigning activities on expenses?
As an aside, I notice that many of the invoices make reference to “overdue accounts”, “breach of contract” and the like, which doesn’t really speak well to her status as an “honourable member”, does it? Plus I’ve had to pay her extra charges for late payment.
Oh, and given that the limit on unreceipted petty cash claims is £250, isn’t it an astonishing coincidence that all her petty cash claims just happen to come to exactly £250?
MPs are not stupid you know!
Indeed not. I thought the chap from the Telegraph when interviewed on BBC News this morning made a very good point: if MPs had applied as much ingenuity to solving the problems of the country as they had done to their own expenses claims, we’d all be in a much better place.
I’ve come across a £700 a year computer service contract in my MP’s expenses from palace computing, http://www.palacecomputing.co.uk/. Seems a bit steep really
surely not that steep if either you, or they, live in a palace?
Seven hundred a year – hell you’d get a new laptop every year for that much!
Or, is it for someone to come around and erase all the porn every month or so??
The comma after “or” is utterly superfluous and ruins the rhythm of the sentence.
I despair.
Bugger off, Guido
Have you nothing better to do than spoil my day.
Won’t be able to enjoy my two dinners this morning, you miserable git.
How bad must lying, bullying, inadequate Brown’s halitosis and flatulence funk actually be if this nomark had to crawl from the bunker?
In your worst nightmare remember McDoom licking Carla Bruni’s face, the poor lady.
Maybe Tom just couldn’t stomach having to cuddle his master when he got frightened, the fucking stench would turn anyone’s guts.
Thanks for for being the bum boy in Brown’s putsch against Blair, Tom. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
The SKYE journalist this morning is giving the MPs expenses story laldy.
With all the “redaction” aka censorship they would have hidden their flipping theft and Ming Campbell has blocked out every fuckin detail on one expense recipt for £250.
Harperson slipped this exemption in at the last minute to protect MPs personal privacy and the UK’s security.
Next for the abbatoir Harpie???
Sorry to say it Guido, but the facile cartoons are the crappy end of a great blog.
Thats not a cartoon you pillock, thats the watson family photograph.
What a cretin that Jukes is!
It’s called having a sense of humour – maybe you should try it sometime.
Had a little run through our own food shopping receipts to compare them to Alister Darlings, and what a suprise at no point do any of the ammounts come out at a completely even amount (Darling always hits a round 200 – 250 mark) now either he eats out of pound land or puts one hell of an effort to making his purchases tally out to even ammounts . Oh and there appears not to be any form for his living costs for christmas period 2004, though his food did go up £50 in the november form. errm ho hum.
He must be giving the food to the poor.
Has to be for “Gay TV”. Best anal on Satellite I hear. I wonder if he sat and watched it with Mandy?
Robert Goodwill MP (GoodValueTory, Whitby and Scarborough!) claiming full food exes in Parliamentary recess.
Our Local Mp in Bury South Ivan Lewis is making it known to all that will listen
that he has nothing to fear from disclosure. His receipts are above board. Yet it has cost the taxpayer a fortune in black ink for blanking out. Why bother if yo’ve nothing to hide?
FRed Goodwin
Today’s spoiler story from Pravda Central
He’s been forced, otherwise he will be sued.
OK but
Timing is everything Contessa, n’est ce pas?
The fat fuck! Quite incredible he should come up first!!
Ruane is another claiming for his tax returns £511.13, I do hope he’s paying it back
£300:00 for Elector Data from Liebour Party, I’m really surprised at that as I’d assumed it would be freely available to the troughers.
What you imberciles fail to grasp is that details of an MPs brand of condom could well lead a clever agent of some foreign power straight to the clitris of his loved one.
How would you like it if you came home and found Osama fucking the arse off Cynthia?
Should be clitoris, of course.
I got excited thinking about it.
You don’t have to be a BNP supporter to have an issue with MPs stealing and then trying to cover it up – I do, and as someone who the BNP would probably stick in a concentration camp if they got and kept power (I’m Jewish, but not Zionist before you start bleating on about Israel – I think their behaviour is a disgrace too!), I think that’s a pretty low comment to make.
MPs who respect the public need not fear, and should be allowed to go about their business untroubled, ones who don’t have to go, regardless of whether they’re Lib, Lab or Con. You’re a fucking hoon if you think that the people that post here think the Blues should be given any kind of immunity.
Looks like your new here and ‘labouring’ under the delusion that this is a ‘Right-Wing’ site, it is not.
Please take sometime to familiarise yourself with the treasure trove of diverse opinions contained within.
Sorry re: 69′s comment.
i have gone colour blind !lie bores whiter than white government seems to have gone blacker than black !
Has anyone checked that the money continually paid to the Labour Party for “Office Rent” was a fair rent and not some means of channelling public funds to party purposes….not that a Minster would ever do that of course.
