Elliott Morley Says He Will Stand Down

MorleyHe will not resign immediately, he still wants to keep claiming his salary and expenses. Claims it was all a mistake and there was no question of deliberate intent.  Well that will clearly be his defence.  Whether it will wash with a jury remains to be seen.

Can I please be given some guidance as to the correct use of the noun/adjective/verb ‘Hoon’ as it will, I trust, be included in the next edition of the OED. As for Morley, like his fraudulent colleagues, he should be sacked, beaten and then prosecuted.

Not if your Labour – you need to go through a 1000 committees and/or inquiries – first they have to meet to decide if they are going to drink bottled water or coffee – then they have to decide how to put together a committee that is going to bring in the least damaging result (remember Hutton?) – and after that it will take them ten years of meetings before they can come to a conclusion – and maybe not then!

Quite right Nell, NuLiebour know a thing or two about whitewash (am I allowed to say ‘whitewash’?). After 12 years of spin, lies, deceit and covering up (not to mention crass incompetence, which is why these skills were necessary in the first place) they have raised these black arts to a whole new level – which is why I think some rejoicing may be in order just after 4 June. If I never see another dawn, it will have been worthwhile to see McBust and his pygmies get the best kicking political in generations. After that it should all be downhill to total oblivion. Utter, unalloyed joy.

Closing in on Westminster's Benefit Cheats says:

This is the next stage in our struggle to ensure there are NO MORE REWARDS for ABJECT FAILURE. These parasites know that if they can limp on until the end of their term, they can stick two fingers up to the taxpayer and walk away with HUGELY disproportionate ‘entitlements’ which we (who else?) will be expected to pay for.

This is precisely why getting rid of this parasitic scum without further delay must be the utmost priority. They have RUINED this country; taken it to the cleaners for their own personal enrichment and lumbered us with generations of supertax and now they want to hang on in there and only ‘step down’ at the next election; thereby entitling themselves to HUGE sums in severance and resettlement allowances. It’s a f*cking obscenity the way they’ve re-written the rules to suit themselves. Don’t let these FILTHY crooks get away with it. INSIST THEY GO NOW!!!

I am sure those of us on here that have experience of enforcing the law are just as upset that the rule of law seems to being flouted and that arrests are not being made.

The normal methods of arrest are “On suspicion” under S 2 Criminal Law Act hey are not being adhered to here. Arrest, bail, investigate, interview, charge or bail for authority to charge is the normal way of doing things.

Here it seems to be Obtain an understanding of parliamentary procedure, perhaps take a statement if permitted to do so, apply for permission / warrant to obtain evidence, that warrant restricted to certain areas that are already known about, arrange for an interview, possibly at the home address or office (No 10 with our Bliar), then submit for decision to discontinue as not in the public interest…..seems to be the way the police are handling this one to 646 cases.

That is the underlying scandal that is occuring. That these MP’s are NOT being treated the same in ANY way shape or form.

I am, however, really pleased to see that local newspapers have filled the media gap and done a very decent job of investigating local MP’s/Lords abuses of the expenses scandal.

Manchester Evening News took Hazel Blears(LAB) to task for her excessive claims. Has DT reported this?

Redditch Standard asked why Kirkbride was put under the spotlight when they felt Jacqui(LAB) had committed a greater crime. Has DT reported this?

Wakefield Express and Pontefract & Castleford Express have highlighted Balls/Cooper(LAB) expenses. Cooper used her office expenses (taxpayers money) to print 30,000 calenders / advertising literature for Labour; bought a digital camera and other equipment. We have still to see a full breakdown of all their expenses over the last years. Their combned expenses are mega and indefensible. But because EdB is his closest ally Gordon is going to pull all the stops to protect Ed and Yvette. Has DT reported this?

Peter Hains(LAB) requested 2 mortgages at once . One for a £440,000 home bought with his 2nd wife and one for another home just 6 miles away. He told the Daily Mail on the 27/5/09 that he needed both in order to carry out his Parliamentary duties. Has DT reported this?

And finally, the Labour Lord Taylor of Burnley who has been shamed in the House of Lords.

This personal friend of Jack Straw has been suspended from the Labour Party and will most likely lose his “freedom of the borough” status with East Lancs .

And also Canatxx, who paid the said Lord Taylor £80,000 , has now said they have dispensed with his services.

Imagine a scenario in a bank – you’re found falsely claiming and pocketing several thousand pounds, and given the sack. Except that you decide they have to leave you where you are until the next shareholders’ meeting in a year’s time. You do b*g*er all work, natch, and just pocket the salary. And spend your luxuriously long notice period cosying up to your company’s clients and opponents, to get another job at the end of it. And then by some crazy ‘rule’ – your firm has some very strange ones – BECAUSE they’ve left you lounging around the office or indeed absenting yourself if that’s what you prefer, you collect a massive payoff and a massive pension.
But of course it all doesn’t matter because as an MP you have sod-all to do anyway, and the money will be coughed up by some poor devils out of their taxes.

As for Ian “no-one in my constituency supports fox hunting” Cawsey, questions remain unanswered, explain yourself or you’re next……….

    Eurolinks event.

A day long Eurolinks event was held at Hotel Bannatyne in Darlington on 15th March. It was attended by pupils from the town’s Polam Hall School to help them with their French, Spanish and German GCSEs.

The girls worked alongside professional business consultants to complete a series of multi-lingual business tasks.

Presentations were given by Cyndi Beaver, representing Stephen Hughes MEP and Kasia Fiderkiewicz of the RLN. Events such as Eurolinks are an exciting and innovative way to demonstrate to our younger language learners how important these skills are in the business world.
