Actually, the correct statement is : The energy saved by switching off a phone charger for ONE DAY is the same as the energy used by driving a car for ONE SECOND.
(Switching TVs and stereos and DVD players off is a different matter, and much more worthwhile doing.)

I notice that one of their board members is in charge of fundraising for the American Democratic Party. I don’t think the British people will be very impressed. I haven’t read all the comments here, but I can’t be the only one who hates these little think tanks/groups. 38 degrees? MoveOn? Fuck off more like!
