Punish Mainstream Politicians, Don’t Vote for Mainstream Parties
Guido has been campaigning for this reckoning for years and now we are at the point where the reality of the venality of the political class has been revealed, public anger is exploding. However the impotence of voting is exposed, because they are all at it. They treat voters like sheep to be fleeced.
There are calls for a demonstration – a “Rally of the Robbed”. That would achieve nothing, even if we burnt parliament to the ground. We face a kleptocratic class that has control of all the main parties. Cameron has so far taken the whip away from Bob Spink and Derek Conway. It remains to be seen what happens to Andrew MacKay, Julie Kirkbride and the long list of other Tory troughers. Nick Clegg says he will come down like “a ton of bricks” on expense fiddlers. So far a few small cheques have been written with no sign of a single brick lobbed. Gordon Brown sits in cabinet with James Purnell, Hazel Blears, Jacqui Smith and Geoff Hoon. Each of them has defrauded the taxpayer and milked the system to an extraordinary degree. As long as they sit around the table he presides over a cabinet of crooks.
Like most humans, politicians are motivated by fear and greed. Greed motivated the now revealed looting of the public purse. Fear is the only thing that will get politicians to change their ways, and what they fear most is losing their positions. The mainstream parties are putting up the bogeyman of the BNP as the beneficiary of the none of the above vote. Tebbit has smartly advocated voters voting for a minority party, there are palatable options available whatever your political leanings. No party is perfect, but if your sympathies are to the left, this election is the time to vote Green, if your sympathies are to the right, time to vote UKIP, if you are more centrist, perhaps Libertas deserves your vote. That would punish the major parties.

Attempt to treat the electorate like half-wits comes to nought. Sanity and, surely, a sign of things to come.
Can I please draw your attention to something written before Nulabour took over. It has had one or two comments added since but is still basically unchanged. It is still as relevant now as then, in fact more relevant if that is possible.

A very telling feature of the corruption is illustated by the following:-
Why do not all MPs have there real home in their constituency. They would then only need overnight accommodation when they attended the H o P.
They should all be very long term residents of that constituency before they are selected as prospectives. It should be pretty obvious that the people representing those constituent should be one of them (rather that “one-of-them” as most of them seem to be). How can a person not born and brought up in a constituency know anything about its real needs and be familiar with its outlook.
The answer, as we all know, is that these “imports” are self seeking, carpet bagging, loyal “yes persons” shoe horned in by the party mafia, and providing they toe the line and got through the “correct” lobby, they can do much as the wish and will eventually be suitably rewarded.
This is yet another proof, if another were needed, that the entire current system of suffrage and representation is as bent as a pig ring and should be totally destroyed ASAP.
Can I apologise for the absence in the above of any profanity, blasphemy and other modern literal stylism.
Voting for ANY political party is a vote for a corrupt system. We cannot trust ANY party, They are all corruptible.
The only sensible, democratic solution is to vote for independents.
GET RID OF ALL PARTIES, They are all a means to remove power from the many and keep it in the hands of a few. It is time to take responsibility for our democracy and the only way to do that is by removing political parties altogether.
If you vote for any party, you vote for your candidate to work for that party first and you second.
I am watching the Politics show and NONE of the major MP’s get it. NONE OF THEM.
We need an election so that WE THE PEOPLE can SACK THESE CROOKS!
The difference is that Nigel Farage and his accomplices trumpet the fact that they are troughing because the system allows them to. Gorbals Mick and his accomplices have fought tooth and nail to keep it secret, and keep it going.
It’s true that most of us are halfwits. I am one (or so Lady Waad says), many of the commenters here are, and I’m beginning to wonder about Guido when he tells us to vote for UKIP or the Greens. When Robert Peel was campaigning to extend the franchise to the majority of male adults in 18xx, Punch did a superb cartoon of him, handsome, upright, smiling, top-hatted, warmly shaking hands with an idiot in a farmhand’s smock, straw in his ears, the smile of the completely brainless wreathing his slack-jawed chops. “Sir,” Peel is saying “I have determined that you are the greatest booby in Britain, and must therefore have the vote.”
Report due to clear security services of 7/7 blunders:
“MI5 is known to have had Khan’s details 16 months before the bombings. However, those familiar with the ISC report say it concludes that it is unlikely more could have been done.”
Yeah, just like MPs expenses.
The public wants full transparency from these lying hoons.
256, Spot on.
Bearing in mind that most, if not all, elections held between General Elections (by-elections, council elections, Euro elections etc) have been used as an opportunity to ‘protest’ against the government of the day, then there is the likelihood that the results in June will be completely ignored by all parties and respective MPs (as usual). Nothing will change.
The public hand-wringing and contrite utterances will doubtless continue but does anyone really think that MPs will devise a system whereby their power/influence/opportunity to pilfer will be diminished?
Benevolent dictator? Would never happen.
PR? Given that a fifth of the electorate don’t vote in GEs then this may persuade them to do so. Every vote counts – would be interesting to see but power is never surrendered – it has to be seized.
The parliamentary system is a successful one and has served us well for a few centuries. The parliamentary model itself has been successfully exported all over the world, in the main to former colonial and commonwealth countries.
Let’s not throw it all away because the institution has been abused for over a decade, punish the abusers not the abused.
If this is the future, then it isn’t at all like Winchester as I knew it. Who’s that peeing in the bottle?
“Democracy means simply the bludgeoning of the people by the people for the people”.

The real problem is and will remain – the permanent civil servants who are the lapdogs of rich men and corporate interests…..
Peel off zanuliebore and paste up UKIP – behind the scenes remains unchanged.
‘The System’ has been hijacked by evil, selfish and ruthless “dark forces playing (deadly) games”.
Paste up UKIP by all means – then get to work to change ‘the system’ completely.
P.S.
“Following her humiliating third place, Ms Gould tried to heal wounds by throwing her support behind the winner, saying she supported her “100 per cent” and would campaign for her.”
Tsk, tsk. What’s wrong with 110% all of a sudden.
Ghoul will be claiming racism – yes really.
If your policies are failing – play the race card.
If you are being exposed as a creep – play the race card.
Surely it’s 1 million % after our esteemed INjustice Minister said this week – Malik the ultimate spiv!
Why an all-female shortlist of eight? Sex equality is meant to be a plank of New Labour. As a pissed-off voter who left Erith & Thamesmead before it slipped into the mire, this is an irritating situation. Erith deserves a strong candidate from the best people not just those selected for lack of a Y gene. Stinks.
Remember they still have the 19 year old candidate up their sleeve. Reminds one of the old footage of Hitler inspecting the child army which he expected to defend Berlin from the seasoned killing machine that was the Red Army.Desperate measures indeed.
tut tut Guido i liked you until now, itc cear you dont want to bring down the house you just want it to be full of people spouting your rightwing views! UKIP?! They are just as corrupt as any other party, as for Libertas read their policy on just about everything they are crap! Greens anti Nato fannies with a one track mind. What we need isnt new parties, its a new system! FPTP voting isnt working neither is two party politics we need a radical overhaul!
Well yes, democracy has worked and does work quite well. Maybe that is what we are seeing now? We can but hope, but watch those politicos of all colours wriggle their way out.
The real problem is that they have all absorbed Orwell’s 1984 so thoroughly. What an amazingly prescient book! Look what they do to us . . .
1. Constant scares; bird flu, swine flu, terrorist threats
2. Constant wars; Distant wars of dubious purpose to keep you patriotic.
3. Big Brother; Surveillance cameras, speed cameras, ID badges etc. etc
4. Thought Control; Political correctness, racial and homophobic “correct” thinking.
5. Even NewSpeak!
Your desperate for massive overhaul but it’s not what we need. The system works pretty well, all we need is transparancy.
I know that sounds like complete BS but once everything, and I do mean everything, is out for all to see then suddenly those who felt nice and secure screwing us all will think twice.
How any politician or servant of the people (aka civil servant) can think anything they do can he hidden from the people who pay for them is disturbing and a throwback to an era when it would not have been possible. With the advance of technology what is possible changes. We now have an oppertunity (small and short lived) to demand those who represent us do so in our full view.
No politician will cheat on his expenses no matter how easy it is if he knows that claim will be published for all to see. In that respect the expenses systemh has already been cleaned up. What we really need to do is find all the other rocks these scams are hidden under.
The only way we can deal with the present situation is to hope and pray for a hung parliament, then none of them would be able to entrench themselves and
have complete power. A good sprinkling of independents, greens, ukips, bnps, etc, would help to shake up the whole system, putting mps in real competition with each other. At the moment the system is a stitch up between the tories and nulabour. The candidates are all shoe-horned into the constituencies, so
democracy is just a mirage., and we, the mug punters, are under the illusion that
we live in a benign democracy. This is a complete figment of the imagination peddled about by our honorable members – politicians! The British people are slow to anger, but hopefully this time (remember the poll tax) they will insist
on COMPLETE change. The spokesmen who have been treating us to their
opinions all day are already back-peddling. I feel so angry.
I think you are barking up the wrong tree Guido with Libercrass, the green watermelons(green on the outside red on the inside) Jackanory team, UKRAP.
Check out this poll and you will see Guido that you are completely out of touch and looking more stupid by the day.

And the fact that the poll has been largely ignored by all except the B N P doesn’t tell you something?
Only 2943 votes on a poll that will have been virally sent to every single B N P member in the country? It was written by a B N P sympathiser for starters and the B N P are well known for “jumping on the bandwagon” and fixing online polls in their favour. What’s more telling from our perspective is this however:
Check the link given
“Sorry you have already voted in this poll”
Go away you B N P troll. Did you run out of pseudonyms and IP addresses? Just how many of those votes for the Bigoted Neutered Prats are all from you?

Well since the poll first appeared on this massivly popular pro Tory site that could dramatically influence the poll, a short while ago, the B N P have since over taken the Tories.
The poll is not on the B N P main site.
Looks like the public are making their voices heard for once and are demanding change.
LMFAO. You are so far off the fucking mark there.
I fucking hate Labour and everything they’ve ever stood for. I’ve never voted Labour in my entire life and never will.
On the other hand I’m not that keen on the Tories either, but I’ll have no problem voting Tory at the GE not because of the party but because of the candidate.
Now go back and play with your toys. Remember the B N P is the party that employs nail bombers and convicted psychotics.
( Alien8n ) “stick your dumb fucking head back your arse”.!!!
lol.
You can’t even insult me without showing yourself to be an illiterate ignorant twat.
May one suggest that you go back to school and learn how to read and write properly. I understand that many schools and colleges now provide adult learning services for the poor and disadvantaged in society. And believe me, if you actually think voting for a bunch of fascists will improve this country then you certainly need all the education you can get.

The Torys and Labour welcomed nail bombers into parliment and give them expenses, then released the remaining terrost murderers from Prison.
Yes they released people who blew up inocent babies and pregnant women.
The Tories, would that be the same party that backed an illegal war that blew up innocent women and children!
You back them huh!
Still don’t let that get in the way of the irelevant trite spoon fed to you by the communist extreme left who once had a very active supporter call Neilson, who had a habbit of murdering young men and boiling their heads!
Is that Labour policy, was that endorsed by Labour?
going by your logic you would think so!
Would you like me to continue listing all the phychos that have been members of the Lib Lab Contrick seeing as you think this is relevant rather than policy- may take about 100 pages however, or perhaps you would like to visit
`liars buggers and theives` website where you will get a real idea of just how criminal and evil the lib lab cons can be, or perhaps you may want to change you broken record of smears.
Some of it covered up and ignored by their parties as it happens.
Perhaps you may like to wonder why `dave` said he would not remove any of the totalitarian laws Labour have bought in.
Oh and lastly you will not be voting for the Tories, you will be voting to be ruled by the EUSSR and all it’s friendly non oppressive laws, ID cards anyone?
Do you actually believe if you repeat a lie often enough it becomes truth?
Or do you actually believe all the propaganda BS you’re spouting?
I’m better the former, you sound far too militant for the second.
And just so you know, it was Labour who released the terrorists, not the Tories. Something to do with a bit of paper signed by Tony Blair. The Good Friday Agreement I believe it was called.
And it was Labour who lied to Parliament in order to start an illegal war.
So keep it up, a few more lies and people might actually start believing you…

Who’s to Blame for the Collapse of the Financial Markets? By editor|May 17, 2009|10:27 PM
http://wallstreetpit.com/4350-whos-to-blame-for-the-collapse-of-the-financial-markets
British newspaper Sunday Times has published a very interesting article on the international insurer AIG.
From Sunday Times: “Why did no-one see it coming?” asked Queen [Elisabeth] last November, on a visit to the London School of Economics.
Well, they did, ma’am. Charles Bowsher, head of the US government’s General Accounting Office, testified as long ago as 1994 that “the sudden failure or abrupt withdrawal from trading” of large dealers in derivatives “could cause liquidity problems in the markets and could also pose risks to others, including… the financial system as a whole”. It took another 13 years, but that is exactly what happened……………………………………..
They should have noticed during the Long-Term Capital Management debacle.
News of the World:
They had already recommended rejecting the plan but Labour councillor Eric Firth – a part-time caseworker for Mr Malik-attended the committee meeting and argued passionately for it to be accepted.
The BNP run a poll and then say”We Won ”

Vote Screaming Lord Sutch
He’s dead, would have to go to the house of lords
In that case he can only claim his basic salary
Brown is dead ,so what’s the fucking difference?
So from 640 MP’s we have hundreds of them corrupt and on the take.
It made sure that hundreds of MP’s had no interest in politics or serving the people, but were there for a lavish millionaires lifestyle from public funds.
These corrupt MP’s have got rich very quickly.
The Telegraph has exposed that Parliament is rotten to the core.
Interesting that MP’s at the top of goverment were as corrupt as the waste of space average MP.
If parliament is established on sleaze and corruption then there is no cure.
It is at best a den of thieves.
The good thing about this, is that we have been jerked awake to the reality that hundreds of MP’s are simply low life. So we know exactly what they are.
It also shows that all of parliament knew about the scams for many years.
These scams have cost £billions of public money.
These are the opposite to honourable members.
there has never been any honourable members. We have known for years they are on the take. Whats disapointing is their work as consultants for companies is a conflict of interest, but we are not allowed to know which compaines or how many they are sleeping directors of.
A fair point, but at least if they are (genuinely) working for companies they are earning money rather than stealing it.
Send a message then. Vote Tory for the local council and UKIP for the EU. With a bit of luck Labour will get the message, dump Gorgon Brown and be forced to give us the election we all desperately need by the middle of October.
Exactly what I will be doing. And Tory for the GE.
If you want a good laugh, read this:
http://www.labourhome.org/story/2009/5/16/111354/721
How could they think it’s a positive thing that 5 out of approx 350 MPs are not troughing!
Love the comments :)
“There aren’t 645 Labour MPs, so the proportion of ‘good guy’ Labour MPs is a bit higher. But still shockingly low”
So at least 5 out of 350 Labour MPs are straight and not crooked whereas 100% of Respect MPs claim no expenses.
I have “respect” for George. Exchanged emails with him a few times.
Turned out at the time he was being fobbed off over a FOI request regarding a visit to his constituency by a Labour MP which he wasn’t told about. Every time he made the request he got the same answer, it would not be cost effective to tell him.
1 week later a Tory made the exact same request and was told straight away. Labour are using the FOI act to hinder the work of MPs that they don’t like.
So I emailed him about it and told him what was going on.
Would never vote for the guy, but there was a clear abuse of Democracy going on and it needed telling at the time.
350, wherever do you get your figure, the real figure is more like 640, that leaves 10 honest m.p.s in the country
Malpaso. The figure of 350 isn’t meant to be how many MPs there are, it’s how many Labour MPs there are. So the number of good Labour MPs is actually 5 in 350.
About one and a half percent.
Er- these numbers are very confusing you know – not my strongest suit, which is being a criminal in the Justice Ministry along with my deputy Malik.
So please, just use simple numbers from 1 to 10 so we in the cabinet can understand you all.
Yours
Jack Fraud Straw.
(Alien8n) I thought you had no ” respect ” for fascists.? So, was it emails exchanged,? or was it really body fluids.? “you tosser”

It does not know what the Baltic Dry Index is. Or Common Purpose.
It doesn’t do much in the way of popular culture, celeb stuff, yet. It is only the beginning.
Don’t know why the Baltic Dry Index isn’t there, but unlike Google you can ask them.
Voting UKIP has the added advantage of beating Labour into third place and humiliating Brown even further. I can’t wait.
Looking at the IoS poll today, error margins surely allow for the possibility of Labour actually coming fourth.
Incredibly, Labour are going to be smashed in the Euro elections without any of their opponents having to offer cuts against their exorbitant taxes.
Third of fourth, either way, Brown, who has positively evaded each opportunity he has had to be the subject of any electoral exposure, would see his supposed mandate and authority evaporate in an instant.
well presscott did lanch go forth
I think they will find that in the next elections they will ‘Come Fourth’…..
Hopefully they will come fifth and lose their beer money.
The problem of the protest vote is well known. There are never really enough votes cast to prove any more than a minor embarrassment to the main Parties.
The Cons/Lies/Libs will still win their comfy seats with a reduced majority.
However, this being Euro elections…who gives a shit?
Let’s vote UKIP in the Euros and when the Biggie comes along next year..well that’s another story.
you should not be allowed access to any electronic or computer or electric equipment , your an idiot.

So, I take it they’re not going to be covering Balls & Cooper, more of a cover up?
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/its-not-a-splash-its-balls-1686267.html
Injunction did it’s job.
The worst part about the scrounging Balls (and this too is being played down) is the fact that between them their basic salaries come to just under £300,000, yet they still feel it neccessary to charge the taxpayer with £600 of groceries a month!
This is pure greed and I wonder why the newspapers aren’t making more of a fuss. My sister brings up 3 kids relitavely comfortably on £35,000 a year, so why can’t the Balls manage with their 3 kids on just under £300,000??
This should be a huge story of great interest to a lot of people.
They’ve been exposed as flipping homes and both claiming for everything possible, they’ve even both claimed for the same item. It’s just not been made a headline story. I wonder why.
Jacqui Smith and Tessa Jowell have not yet received the Telegraph’s attention. I do hope they are scheduled for coming editions.
@38
Margy, agree completely.
The papers might care to note that £600 a month is about the same that a family with three kids and an income of about £15k would be getting in Tax Credits
to keep them out of poverty and destitution.
Perhaps the Balls-Coopers feel a bit miffed that they are not getting the same in Tax Credits so feel perfectly justified in “making up the difference”.
“why can’t the Balls manage with their 3 kids on just under £300,000??”
Because they are idiots?
£600 * 12 = £7 200 a year
Spot the inconsistency.
Crispin Blunt is told to stop claiming ACA on the home his children live in.
While
Balls n Cooper get a clean bill of health doing exactly the same.
Excellent find. And it goes some way to show why the Tories are coming out of this looking a lot cleaner. It’s because the Fees Office has an inbuilt bias towards the Labour troughers.
Maybe that’s the real reason Labour didn’t want the expenses to come out, they didn’t want the Tories to find out they were being stiffed by the system.
The Editor of the Telegraph is a friend of Balls – so he is going easy on him-rather than nailing him. See Iain Dale’s blog.
I can’t help feeling that the DT is holding back on the worst offender till last, so that they can end the series with a flourish. Perhaps the Balls & Cooper show is the one to end on.
I think that’s unlikely, though never say never. The Indy pointed out that the Telegraph editor is a personal friend of the Balls, and by not claiming 2 x the maximum ACA they have given themselves a veneer of hygeine. They would appear to have misbehaved (by normal, not Parliamentary standards) in calling their London home their second home, even though the whole of their family life is based in London, but claim to have paid CGT when they sold their previous London home. Not sure when they sold – if it was after 1.4.08 their CGT is not due till January 2010 and they get away with 18% (sh*tty idea removing taper relief for entrepreneurial start-ups and giving a break to property and other speculators, but that’s OT). If it was before, then CGT at 40% would almost certainly swamp the money they had made through their subterfuge, convicting a potential Chancellor of total ineptitude. Worth IR double checking their story, though.
BTW does anybody have any evidence for all these stories about injunctions? I just assumed the Liebourgraph were just being nice to their friends.
In any event if Gordo is half serious about his clear out, there will be a very thin Cabinet without Darling, Smith and McNulty just for starters.
Plato says:

I have the attention span of a goldfish and the intellect to match.
See 694 above.
One important but rarely noticed fact – that previous votes for UKIP in European Elections HAVE NOT CHANGED A SINGLE THING.
UKIP are a party of stasis.
This is why the media want you to vote for UKIP.
The last time the European Elections were held and UKIP were voted into seats on the basis of the Killroy Effect the presence of UKIP both in the European Parliament and in the UK with all the money they obained from the European Parliament changed nothing, neither there nor here.
A vote for UKIP is like a fart in the wind – it leaves a small stink in the parlour of the political establishment which rapidly dissipates.
This is why the political establishment are so desperate for people to vote for UKIP, as a vore for UKIP means nothing.
Nothing changes.
Nothing happens.
Therefore it is business as usual for the political pigs that run the country and who run the European Union.
A vote for UKIP is merely a way to ensure the olitical pigs, the political parties and the political system in Britain stays exactly the same as it is today.
Whilst the UKIP MEP’s plunder the EU cash mountain and do nothing to stop the EU, the political pigs in Troughminster are left to stay in power in the UK.
Farage knows this and in fact this is the role he has been given by the system.
He and his EU pigs gorge in the EU trough whilst the UK pigs gorge in Troughminster.
This is why Farage is on the BBC (AGAIN !) this week on Question Time.
The media, the BBC and the UK political parties are all desperate for the protest vote to go to UKIP again.
Since 2000 UKIP have spent over 8 million pounds.
Yet what have they done.
Nothing.
In local elections they have collapsed.
In the European Parliament they have done nothing but take the money and run.
25 % of the UKIP MEP’s voted into the European Parliament in the last European Election have been involved in corruption.
The others are waiting for the expenses of the EU to be published in total fear.
Whilst the political pigs in the Houses of Troughminster have been gorging on public money, the UKIP MEP pigs have been gorging in the EU cash trough.
Not voting merely ensures that the system stays as it is.
Voting UKIP merely ensures the system stays as it is.
Nigel Farage is a stooge of the system, who represents a safe safety valve for public discontent.
He and UKIP have proved this for everyone to see since 2000 when with the vast amount of money and donations they have been given by their rich backers and from the EU they have done nothing either at the British political level or in relation to the EU.
The 8 million pounds that has been squandered by Farage and his gaggle of supporters could have been used to create a cohesive nationalist movement in the UK which should have built up a political base and activist base which should have allowed UKIP to become a major player in British elections.
With their senior members being inside the poltiical establishment this should have ensured that the party went from being just a European Election protest vote to a real political alternative to the main parties – but what happened.
UKIP were like a cheap firework.
A lot of noise on the way up, a small puff of publicity when they were voted into the EU and then total collapse.
This is why the media are so desperate for people to now vote UKIP.
SIMPLY BECAUSE UKIP HAVE PROVED THAT THEY ARE INEPT.
The media know that with a new round of new UKIP idiots sitting in the European Parliament its business as usual back in the UK.
The voters of the UK had better wake up.
Look for another alternative as UKIP as a vote for UKIP is not just a wasted vote – it is the surest way to ensure that nothing in this country will change.
UKIP are not a protest vote, they are a wasted vote.
Try about 80% fewer words and I might read this.
Worst troughing to be released by DT at the end and to feature Balls/Cooper.
What planet are you on.
Lewis editor of DT and Balls/Cooper are as thick as thieves.
Balls/Cooper given the lightest of scrutiny.
Fuck the editor. Fuck Andrew Porter friend of Damien McBride
DT still a crap excuse of a right wing newsie.
True.
Everyone send an email to that fraud Balls commenting on his eating habits at our expense.
PUT THE PRESSURE ON THE SHIT
Apparently the friendship of the editor with the testicular one outweighed the importance of the political story.
If true this is disgraceful and seriously undermines the paper’s expose.
Nevertheless Brogan appeared to make clear on QT last Thurs they had 5 million pieces of paper to examine and their 25-strong team was still working its way through the expenses so we can expect much more.
It could go on for weeks and that would provide a clearer picture of how many in all parties are actually clean.
It is still too early, via the small sample exposed in the first week, to draw any proper conclusion.
And in answer to Ian Dale and others: no I’m not bored at all, not at all, keep going Teles we want every last horrifying detail. Only then will the Rotten Parliament be expunged.
I am a Conservative from Cirencester but, after hearing about his behaviour, I shall be snubbing my old friend Geoffrey and voting for UKIP after reading this on an earlier thread:
“Here’s another scumbag MP just exposed by the Telegraph. This time it’s Geoffrey Clifton-Brown Tory MP for the Cotswolds and a Shadow Minister:
“Geoffrey Clifton-Brown, the Shadow Minister for International Development, ‘flipped’ his second home designation from London to his new Gloucestershire home and claimed £66,800 over three years from 2005 to 2008 – the maximum amount allowed for a second home.
Two years after buying the Gloucestershire house, Mr Clifton-Brown sold it and raked in a profit of £208,000, the Telegraph reported. He then upgraded to a new house – a former rectory worth £2.7million.”

VOTE UKIP, teach ‘em a lesson, THIEVING SCUM.
UKIP thieving scum?
Telling people to vote for crooks, communist EU stooges and pure EU stooges!
Not really a man of the people are you Guido!
Is your sole purpose to undermine democracy – not crooks, but democracy itself?
Ignore him, he’s a hoon. (“Not Very Radical” that is. See his pro-fascist posts elsewhere under various names)
Talking of Geoffrey Clifton-Brown, you may like this from today’s News of the World:
“GEOFFREY CLIFTON-BROWN
Con, Cotswolds and Tewkesbury. Maj: 9,688
“Flipped” second home from London to Gloucs before buying £2.75 million property. Took £87 a month for laundry and dry cleaning. Says: “I simply moved address and continued to claim a very similar amount of interest on my new mortgage on my Additional Costs Allowance.”

I find it both funny and worrying how stupid people are. You’re not punishing the parties by voting for a minority party, but punishing yourself.
If you think a candidate from any minority party is going to be any better with expenses. you’re certainly wrong. They’ll try to get as much from the system as the can. Who were wouldn’t have taken advantage of the second home allowance? I doubt many could honestly say “I wouldn’t.”
So vote for a minority party, and you’ll get the same crooks, except they won’t represent any of your interests and have no idea how to conduct government business. Great idea, huh?
P.S. I think most Tories that are switching to UKIP have been wanting to do so for a reason, and being cowardly, have wanted a reason so they don’t look like they’re nut jobs.
Et tu Dave?
“except they won’t represent any of your interests and have no idea how to conduct government business.”
so what’s new?
yeah, yeah, yeah.
Considering the mainstream parties won’t punish offenders, we will have to punish them. End of.
Well we cannot vote for any mainstream parties as there is no such thing as a mainstream party. Not one party has more than 20% support from the entire electorate. They are ALL fringe parties now.
That said, if we voted for one of the three leading Westminster Parties, then they would see it as a positive endorsement for their thieving from and defrauding of the taxpayer. They will see it as a reward for their crookedness.
You say,
“So vote for a minority party, and you’ll get the same crooks, except they won’t represent any of your interests and have no idea how to conduct government business. Great idea, huh?”
Since when have ANY of the mainstream parties represented OUR interests? WHEN? And as for knowing how to conduct Government business? Well that is hardly rocket science, but it is still way beyond the capabilities of the current lot.
The “mainstream” parties (so-called) have utterly failed us and you want to reward them? Are you fucking nuts?
vote independent.
Personally, I dream of ‘Re-Open Nominations’ as an option provided by statute on every single ballot in every election, for those of us who can’t quite see past the slightly self-contradictory nature of e.g. voting UKIP as a reproach to low-quality politicians who fiddle expenses.
It would put fear into the major parties. Right-wingers are never going to vote Green, left-wingers are never going to vote UKIP, this is a compromise.
Bravo, encore, more!
And if we insisted that any candidate who scored fewer votes than either “Re-open nominations” or “None of these candidates deserves electing” had to resign all public offices for a minimum of the period of office for which they were intending to stand, this might create a sense of urgency into the major parties because they are the ones with the majority of former MP’s on pensions that would not get paid until there was a government who had passed a budget.
“A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty”.
“All the great things are simple, and many can be expressed in a single word: freedom, justice, honor, duty, mercy, hope”.
“A politician needs the ability to foretell what is going to happen tomorrow, next week, next month, and next year. And to have the ability afterwards to explain why it didn’t happen”.
“A prisoner of war is a man who tries to kill you and fails, and then asks you not to kill him…………………….”.
this one works for me … better than ‘none of the above’ more like ’surely we can do better than this …?’
what i want to know , is , nadine dorris, pays £22000 per year rent on a rented property, i want to know , and i dont know why i just never seem to get an answer to this question, who gets the £22000 rent, from nadine, is it someone she knows , a relative , a friend, does she have any relatonship with the person she pays this rent to, tell us nadine tell us.
Malpasso @663
This is why company accounts have to list transactions with related parties. So too should MP’s expenses. Mr. Malik’s rent might be interesting in this regard.
It is becoming clear that the British public are beginning to join the dots between the EU, the corruption of the UK parliament and the subject of value for money, what MPs are worth and the amount of legislation made in Brussels – equals the amount of national sovriegnty given away to the EU, whilst our parliamentarians till demand to be treated with importance and paid huge salaries for doing less and less.
This Euro election is the UK electorates last chance to say NO.
The Telegraph should try and get Euro sleaze too – it’s all very well public outrage being levelled at Westminster because we know who the gimps are but I wouldn’t know my MEP if their cock was up my arse and so we lose the recognition factor of ‘there walks a twat there’. Hmm – gotta be UKIP even if they’re just another sack of shite.
And what smelly fish do you think would be netted by an investigation of the EUro-expenses: UKIP perhaps? Their founder, Dr Alan Sked certainly thinks so.
Actually I think you’ll find an exposé on MEPs will find that pretty much everyone in Europe is at it. Forget the UK, the EU is 10 times more corrupt.
Add to this the fact that they want to put the biggest trougher of them all in as the new President of the EU (Tony Blair).
Look into how he bought his multi-million pound property empire.
He bought a property worth 4 million in London with public money. We paid for it through his ACA. But it was hidden from the public eye as we were actually paying the mortgage on his constituency home. A mortgage for over 200k on a property he paid 30k for. Expenses rules clearly state you can remortgage your house for the sole purpose of renovating it. You CANNOT remortgage and claim for the purpose of raising money to buy another property. Outside of the obvious frauds of claiming for non existent mortgages this is in my opinion the worst of them all.
I bet you would because your eyes would be watering.
Thanks for this Guido. Lets Purge the UK of these fuckers who no longer represent us- the people. We need a new political party to rally around. I hear the Queen is not amused with GB either
Why are you thanking guido, he’s reporting a story in the Indepndent about a poll in which 99.99999999% of people respoding will never have heard of him
Did guido put in the FOI request that started all this – no he didn’t, all he’s done is snipe from the sidelenes and basked in the admiration of small people like you
I’d never heard of Guido before I heard about him. Well done, Guido and a big thank you from me.
Quite logical.
Small people like me!! I take it you are some form of MP tosser to think like that or some wanker in London who doesn’t realise there is a country out there that cannot be reached via the tube. I read many varied sources and make conclusions based on what information is allowed to be published. As the national press and mainstream media have done fuck all until recently to expose our elected representatives as the cheats that they are, I have to look for people like Paul Staines to inform me about what the wankers in westminster are up to. I was thanking Guido for this post but not for exposing the entire charade of parliament. As for small people like me who have spent the last twenty years in the military serving our country (Or as I like to think of it ‘Wanker politicians adventures into the middle east to satisfy their American masters) I like to think that I know something about integrity and honour which is most definately lacking in westminster.
PS Twat
0.00000001% of 60 million equals about a set of toenails. I am sure more people than just me have heard of Guido.
Guido who?
Why are you wasting your precious time here?
Surely you have something useful you could be doing?
The Penguin.
The queen has done nothing and should resign. I don’t think jug ears should get in either. How about Hewitts son copper for king?
…where’s my knitting?…
She would increase her popularity if she made an announcement explaining that she shares the concern of the public, and dissolving parliament forthwith, general election to be held at the same time as the council and EU elections. In this time of economic stringency we should not waste money on separate elections, and the need is urgent so there should be no delay.
I think you’ll find that having the Queen saying she’s “concerned” is an understatement.
My understanding is that the Queen has the ability to make you feel as small as you can possibly be. You can bet that on Tuesday night Brown was getting a change of trousers after his meeting. When the Queen disapproves of you you start wondering how to get out of there as quickly as possible.
What’s she for then? Why do we pay useless people to do nothing?
The Queen acts as the ultimate ambassador for this country. She represents the country abroad and brings in a lot of tourists to this country.
Lets face it, without Buckingham Palace would you visit London?
She’ll dissolve it just the once. There will be a republic within a few elections, and that will be that.
The press reports ( leaks? ) are enough. She shares her people’s concern. She has no further role in this matter until she accepts Broons resignation. She keeps her position because she does not alienate the people. Smart cookie that woman. Where’s the clamour for Diana’s son William to get a paper round? Aristocrats plant oak trees. 200 years before you can harvest an oak tree.
The way it should be:
a. Betty calls in Brown and ‘suggests’, in that way of hers, that Her Subjects seem to have lost confidence in, and are contemptuous of, the current Parliament and that it ‘may be best for Parliament and the Country’ for this Parliament to be dissolved and a general Election be called to clear the air and start afresh.
b. During the intervening (extended – run up to and through the Summer Recess?) Campaigning period:
1) Local Constituency Parties ‘grow a pair’ and critically review their candidates’ records (not only on their Expenses…) and re- or de-select as appropriate; self-servers need not apply.
2) An Independent Body publishes a completely new set of Parliamentary allowances together with the rules applicable to the entitlement to those allowances. (Dare I suggest that those applicable to the Armed Forces would make an admirable template?).
3) Punishment for transgressions are codified and made public. Therefore, all prospective members of the new Parliament will know before polling day what their new Ts&Cs will be.
4) MP’s allowances are made taxable (If its good enough for Betty – its good enough for the Troughers).
5) MP’s allowances are made subject to Means Testing to ensure that the well heeled do not amass greater wealth at the expense of the taxpayer, but those of more limited means, wishing to serve the country, can be assisted to do so; this would obviate the accusation that Parliament could become the preserve of the wealthy.
6) Police Investigations commence immediately into potential cases of Fraud and Embezzlement with respect to MP’s allowances and Expenses.
c. At the ‘Queen’s Speech’ following the General Election, Betty announces that, “Henceforth, the House of Commons – having wilfully abused the term for many years and proven itself to be incapable of acting with Honour and Integrity – will not refer to Members as ‘Right Honourable’, but simply as ‘Members’ to clearly underline what Pricks you are.”
713, citizennotasubject, since when did the UK become a republic? I don’t know about you, but I would rather be a sovereign in a free country, than a citizen granted privileges which can be revoked instead of unalienable rights which cannot, under the rule of a republic.
In this country we can declare ourselves as sovereign. You needn’t be a subject, nor a citizen.
I believe technically she could force parliment to dissolve. If she exercised this power it would create constitutional tension between the commons, the lords and the monarch.
If she was to approach GB I guess it would be who’d blink first him or her.
Amazing isn’t it that people are actually seriously talking about the Queen stepping in to do something! There we’re a couple of guys in the pub chatting about this at the bar last night.
I very much doubt she’d act but it says a lot about the crisis that people are even considering it.
Time gentleman please.
Haven’t you got homes to go to?
I know some of you have got several.
if brenda dares to open her mouth and gives a point of view , on anything, then our system of so called government is over, our brenda better watch waht she says, as the country today is in the same mood as it was when her disregard , for diana , was shown in 97, plus the fact does anyone in this country really really , regard the view of some o.a.p. in her eighties, who has never done a days work in her life, does anyone raelly take her serious, honestly, you think the workers at corus in sHoonhorpe are intersted in , the opinion of brenda , when their jobs are on the line, and her barmy sons.
The constitution requires a head of state as the ultimate authority. If there were no monarch we’d need a President. You think they’re cheap?
The important point here is that the public will be on the Queen’s side (or the Queen on the public’s side).
In that case, how can the Commons (or Lords) claim to have any moral authority.
To sign the petition asking for the Queen to take into account the views of her loyal citizens, please visit
http://www.gopetition.co.uk/online/27778.html
648…one of her barmy sons fought in the Falklands conflict. Have you ever fought for this country? And one of her grandsons has been to Afghanistan.
I would rather have the Monarch than somone like Blair as president any day. And yes actually I do think that many people from Corus or any other industry are fond of the Monarch.
So you would be quite happy having a president would you? You truly believe that a president would save a lot of money to the British taxpayer do you? You truly think that an ‘elected’ president would represent the electorate?
Her other grandson has a thing for military uniform as well…
Why Balls’ thieving didn’t make the front page:

According to votematch I’m a Labour voter with Green a close second. So Green it is, despite the fact I’m a nuclear power supporter.
Don’t vote Green then!
Commiserations.
Is there any way Piers Morgan could get implicated in all of this? I hate the kunt.
Yeah, he is a real prick.
If piers morgan was hung I would forgive MPs everything.
Celia Walden is wonderful though!
Perhaps we could start a list. My nominations:
Peter Stringfellow
Russell Brand
Richard Curtis
Posh and Becks
Jordan
Naomi Campbell
Can Sue Barker be executed too please?
You’d have to ask Celia Walden about that, I don’t even want to think about it.
Poor girl.
I thought for a moment that someone good looking like her would have higher standards, then I remembered Kate Garraway…
..ma pauvre cherie…this poor old woman doesn’t discriminate, just bring him to me ….
… then I’ll let you try some of my nouveaux recipe black pudding….
….now, where’s my knitting?….
Jesus! Will somebody please give this woman her bloody knitting.
Here you are luv.
It’s dropped down behind these cushions in the snug.
Madonna has stated that she is deeply saddened by the break up of Katie and Peter, and could she have first call on the blind kid if nobody wants him!
I’ve just realised, all this nonsense (and it IS nonsense) is McBride’s revenge. McBride was close to the ToryGraph. McBride will have made it his business to know what scams MPs were pulling. And the whole thing is one long, stupid smear for the perennially indignant and the mathematically challenged (as Booker points out today, the morns cost us 4bn last week in bunny-hugging impractical CO2 reduction, 40time their combined salaries including perks).
Yup, gotta be McBride.
If this really is the revenge of McPoison, then I have to admire his indefatigability.
You are George Galloway and I claim my £5.
Charlton Club New Years Eve + Nadine Dorries expenses claim as Mr N Dorries = does Damian McBride know anything???
I hate him a little less now…
For services rendered, we should hang him last, you know hw deserves it
Vote green.
All very well…except that UKIP are just the same. Their choice of MEPs last time out worked out well didn’t they…Ashley Mote, Tom Wise, RKS!
I don’t think any political party is free of corruption…but UKIP are at least as bad as the Tories…which is a shame because I like some of their policies. No thanks.
Greens…haha, ahahahahhah, hahahaha. No thanks.
Libertas…reform of EU is not possible – they are a way for the mainstream parties to have a palatable pro-EU party available for us anti-EU people to vote for. No thanks.
Which leaves what?
Monster Raving Loony gets my vote – I’ve tried the rest already [well except Greenies but I'm saving them til last]
Ask and ye shall receive
Natural Law election broadcast and celebrity endorser
UKIP has a mission statement which I like. In any case, they deal with rogue members swiftly and I doubt there will be any more for some time as is unlikely for any other party ’till the the memory of today fades. I am voting UKIP because I wish for independent democracy and a UK based face to lay blame at if it fails in its integrity any way.
I think that there are 3 Chiltern Hundreds. Possibly not enough.
NOTW has a guide to the scumbags you should sack, inc. Balls/Cooper:
http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/news/310369/Names-claims-and-excuseslist-of-scandal-MPs-that-you-should-sack-at-next-election.html
The list includes the sainted Nadine Dorries. I’ve read her reply to the DT and haven’t laughed so much in ages, they must be quaking in their boots after being savaged by such a toothless sheep. We need ridiculous people like her in politics to give us all a laugh! What a stupid little woman
Tam Dayll on the list as well but has’t he retired or about to retire?
OT I thought Snotty was supposed to be on Andrew Marr’s Liebour show
They couldn’t get through to him, all the phones at Number Ten have been smashed.
The problem is that your suggestion leads us into proportional representation by the back door, and if you think our system of representation is corrupt look at the deals that politicians working under that system have to do.
Better still simple do not vote.
I love the way that people put down PR as “it doesn’t work”.
Get it into your heads, FPTP doesn’t work either. It’s fine when you have a 2 party state, but for 3 or more parties you have to go to PR.
Look at the mess FPTP has given us. 12 years of Labour, with the lowest vote for a majority party in over 100 years. How anyone can say that FPTP is better than PR for the UK is beyond me. At least with PR more people would have voted in 2005 and we would have had a hung parliament that could genuinely represent the people of this country instead of another 5 years of “we know best” and “but the people want ID Cards, we know because we asked our MPs what they wanted (after using the Whip on them)”
Neither system is great, but anything is better than what we have now, which is a Government with no mandate dictating to the people what it wishes. They can even bypass the Lords if they so wish, and that’s before you look at all the laws they’ve passed that don’t even get debated as they get passed into statute using HM’s Prerogative. Somehow I doubt the Queen even knows half the laws that have been put in place using her name.
Excellent points. Also, FPTP keeps small parties out. Starved of the oxygen of media attention, they are then dismissed as irrelevant and a vote for them ‘wasted’.
Works in Scotland. Works in Germany. Depends on the system used. The people get shortchanged in many forms, but we have a golden opportunity to get a fair system in place just this once. They are on the ropes. Punch harder.
#726
Refers to PRSTV working and not First Past the Post which gave us a Blair landslide sepite him getting a million votes less than the Conservatives got in 1992.
That was nearly nobbled by Labour as well, they were trying to push through a change to how people voted for the Scottish Parliament that would have been even more biased towards Labour than the current UK system is.
That’s a huge con as well. SMP or MP, not both. If you’re elected for both Parliaments you should choose which one to sit in and resign from the other. You cannot be an effective MP if you’re also an SMP as your time is split 4 ways, between 2 parliaments as well as 2 sets of constituents.
Guido I know you’re not keen on the Monarchy but why not call for a Rally to the Palace – similar to the Diana mass gatherings?
Thousands of people converging on Buckingham Palace calling for a statement from the Queen would soon have the spineless MPs shown up for what they are….???
Meanwhile the people could start by writing letters to her Majesty asking for her to put Brown in his place??
Why don’t you call a rally at the palace if you’re so concerned or do you want to hide behind someone else’s coattails
…where’s my knitting?
Ralliement Pour le Royaume-Uni
If Dave wants to win seats, then he MUST promise a referendum on Lisbon even if it has already been ratified.
Secondly, he must ban his MPs from having any other job.
Those two things might just do the job for him.
Instead of continuing to tell us which MPs have abused the system, why don’t we see how big, widespread and deep this problem really is, by having the Telegraph simply publish a list of the decent MPs who haven’t abused the system?
For me it’s not about MPs paying back the money they have wrongly spent; in any other profession or walk of life if someone had done this to their employer (regardless of the amount, no matter how big or small) they would be fired instantly. The biggest disgrace is that Cameron and Brown are making their party members pay back their expenses but they are not sacking many of them (only the worst culprits.) This is NOT GOOD ENOUGH!
Any MP who has been caught claiming for things that do not directly help them with their work as an MP should be sacked instantly.
You don’t say to a bank robber “oh well you’ve not stolen that much money and you’ve paid it back, therefore you can continue in your profession.” This is sending out a message that as long as they own up to it and pay the money back, they can continue to be MPs.
Sorry, but I will never ever trust a politician again. Don’t be fooled people, Cameron’s actions (although better than Brown’s) add up to little more than a SOP to the British people. It’s all just spin. If he was really tough and wanted to show he was serious about getting rid of real sleaze from his party, he would sack every single person who has made one dodgy claim on their expenses. Although, he appears tough, as I’ve said above, his actions almost show that he condones his members behaviour. You simply cannot allow anyone to continue being a member of your party or an MP when they have in effect stolen from the tax payer. Wake up people, it’s all a smoke screen! Or do you really believe it is ok for these people to carry on representing you as long as they have paid back what they owe?
I certainly don’t.
“Labour Home” has come up with FIVE MPs described as good guys. I can only agree about 3, including Robinson who quite rightly says that he is a millionaire therefore can pay for his own expenses. Dennis Skinner is only on their list because he fiddles less than the majority. Praise indeed.
Secondly, he must ban his MPs from having any other job.
So you would like us ruled by the likes of the Milibands & Ballses, would you?
Did I say that? Don’t be such a twat. You know exactly what I mean so stop trying to spin.
I can’t agree about the 2nd jobs tbh. Eliminates an awful lot of people who we might actually want as MPs. However, you could argue that any MP with a second job clearly can pay their own way and so doesn’t need expenses.
Yup, that’s a good point.
Also the second jobs thing is good for the Cabinet.
Little known but in order to be a Cabinet Minister the MP must first resign ALL external jobs. He is not allowed to have any external conflicts of interest as his 2nd job is deemed to be that of Cabinet Minister.
Under the Tories this means the only people in Cabinet are the ones genuinely making a financial sacrifice in order to serve the Government, or the ones who are independently wealthy enough to not care about the loss of 2nd jobs.
A lot better than Labour who see Cabinet posts as an extra trough to pig out on.
Also for left wingers there is No2EU, an alliance of the Rail, Maritime and Transport union with a number of small socialist parties and activists.
Fucking Trot public-money-troughing scum, in other words.
RMT= Hoons
It’s all well and good saying ‘vote for the small parties’, except for the fact that it assumes that the small parties are different. They are not. The will have the same sort of people in them. Look at the prosecutions of UKIP MEPs, or the way that SF has been hoovering up expenses in Westminster.
The expenses system (as chosen by MPs) appears to positively encourage this sort of thing to happen. It was a self-set trap, and many MPs have gone blundering into it. It’s incredible that, despite the well-known rumours of troughing and the FoI act, it was not cleaned up before this. And the blame for that has to fall squarely on the shoulders of the Government. They had the oppotunity and the majority.
The whole system needs a root-and-branch reform. We have to ask what parliament is for, and the best reason to achieve those aims. Now seems like the perfect time for such a discussion.
For my (admittedly rather ham-fisted) ideas on this, see http://walkerramblings.blogspot.com/2009/05/way-forward-for-politics-with-aside.html
Yes, yes we all know that when companys start donating to them they will become corrupt as well, but it will take a little time and while they are all new to the house maybe they might actually do something for the country before the white elephant building projects get passed and the lobbying groups and scam media firms sign them all up!
It matters only in that you get rid of the big parties. You won’t see any change at all in the UK by voting for anyone in Brussels. The impact will be at home. Its a message. And it deprives the parties of millions of pounds of EU subsidy if you keep them out of Brussels. Vote them back next time, but this time, get them out.
Don’t vote – it merely encourages them
Vote for Guido!
Sir Guido NOW!
For services to his over inflated sense of his own importance?
Don’t EMPs just turn up sign in to collect their attendance allowance and then fly home.
Do EMPs actually do any work at all. I don’t even know how many EMPs this country has but as we are supposed to vote for them soon I am sure to take a look. Hopefully we will have some smaller party that we can all vote for like the Greens or Monster raving loony party who I am sure could not fail to do any worse that what we have. If we have to put up with MPs / EMPs stealing from all of us at least I would like the person to be someone who has never had much money rather that those rich gits who have been fleecing us for decades.
EMP stands for electro-magnetic pulse, which is what you get when you explode an atomic weapon. Now there’s an idea.
Actually m’learned friend, you don’t need a nuc.
Can also be generated in a way that would not upset the Greens too much
Guido is starting to believe his own hype now.
Taking votes form the Tories will only help prolong the Scotch mafia’s hateful grip on England.
But of course if the Tories take an outright majority next year, Guido might have to find a part time job.
This is a Euro election.
So you want people to give them a bloody nose at the european elctions but re-elect them to westminster? Seems pointless to me
Just what are you after, do you even know?
…some of my nouveaux recipe black pudding is just what would perk you up…
…now, where’s my knitting?……
Cleggy has just called for Speaker Martin to step down immediately!
How long before Cameron says the same THEN Martin IS finished
Clegg grabs the initiative.
Clegg couldn’t grab anything if he tried
So voting Green or UKIP is going to make the world better?
Don’t make me laugh. All these parties have ‘policies’ built on sand. To give them credibility and power on the basis of this chip on your own shoulder – your own blinkered prejudice – is just dumb assed thick.
I will be voting Conservative to destroy labour party ignorance, prejudice and incompetence.
I note that your pomposity is taking second place to the ‘dead tree press’ exposures of the Daily Telegraph. Despite all your self serving claims to the opposite. I find it risible that despite all your sneers about the Independent you use its headline to front your asinine post.
Lets face it all you are is an anarchist – for what ever reason. You might serve a purpose – but you do not fool me and only an infantile fool would take your advice.
I shall vote UKIP in the EU election to express my disgust at our membership of the EUSSR and Conservative in the local (and eventual General) election as they are the least objectionable of the viable alternatives to Labour.
A vote for the tories will be seen as a reward for their corruption. It is NOT POSSIBLE to support any of these parties now without that being seen as tacit acceptance and approval of their fraud and corruption.
How can you POSSIBLY want, not only to condone their corruption, but to actively and willingly REWARD it with a vote?
And you claim to not reward them is infantile foolishness? You really are a first-class braindead hypno-clone slave zombie fuckwit aren’t you!
You are just as backward and out of touch as the MP’s. You really do not get it.
The mainstream parties are made up of an overwhelming majority of abusive crooks, fraudsters and criminals.
HOW CAN YOU EVEN THINK OF REWARDING THEM?
Agreed.
And what about Plaid Cymru and the SNP in Wales and Scotland? Don’t recall seeing too much about them…snouts in trough etc…yet, anyway!!
Shhh! 3 from 6 would be great. Don’t you rock it man.
Political scandal to end all scandals
Shock, Horror where will it end, a new scandal to end all scandals.
Libertas EU have threatened to stop the troughing and sleaze in Europe.
Libertas have threatened the whole of EU’s institutions, stating that they intend to bring Democracy, accountability and transparency to the EU.
Is this the end of politics as we know it?
Are their demands unreasonable?
How will Europe cope with real democracy?
Just how will the citizens of Europe react to a Europe that works for them.
find answers at http://www.libertas.eu
I recognise and understand Libertas’ desire to reform the EU and make it honest, open and democratic.
However, since I am fundamentally opposed to the WHOLE EU project in its entirety, I cannot support any party that is in favour of the EU as an institution existing.
I would be very comfortable with UKIP, English Democrats or any anti-EU independents doing very well out of the EU Parliamentary creche elections. After all, The EU parliament is without any power to set law itself, and so is a complete waste of time and money.
In the council elections I shall vote conservative as the councillors are not allowed to trough the system and it will send a very big message to labour that it is time for them to go. In the General election I shall vote independent, as I cannot reward ANY of the mainstream (so-called) party’s MPs with a vote.
Euro elections coming up.
Clegg is 100% give our sovereignty to Europe.
Brown reneges on the European referendum
So Cameron has a wide open goal to stick up for Britain. But does he heck!!!
It is now quite clear that all 3 major parties want us to become just another state of Europe.
UKIP it is then.
William Hague stated that we should treat the Euro elections as our referendum on the Lisbon Treaty. That would mean a vote for UKIP is in order then!
Euro elections = vote for UKIP
Council Elections = Vote Tory, I approve of their more for less plans.
General election = Vote independent. Parliament MUST be purged of filth and restored to order.
Quite agree
Concerning the Tories
What shocked me the most was the double dipping of Cameron’s “Senior Political aide” MACKAY in the H of C…Gof help us if his other “aides” are like this…
And stating up until the last minute that his expenses were “clean”..
I would have withdrawn the Tory Whjip immediately…
16 sheets the mind boggles
He must have a bloody big bed……or its part of a plan to knot them together and get out of jail.
Unbalanced as inflation down on the left nearside last week. Tried regular pumping but kept going down on me. Old bangers are a waste of time.
He was clearly renting the flat out FOR IMMORAL PURPOSES…!!!
Why not get rid of the whole processing of voting? Just have a lottery instead and pick 640 people from a hat.
I am doing the same, these bastard main stream politicals need a major shock, they don’t give a toss about the voters, they go to law when a policy they got in with doesn’t suit them, they are turning the country into a fascist state anyway,so I am going to follow the baying mob,but what I would say make sure you vote, vote for anybody but vote.
Who is this “Anybody” I voting for them!
59 :-), lot of people saying they are not going to vote,I tried that in 2005 and it didn’t work,so use your vote.

No what happened in 2005 is that the fucking leftie lot said they wouldn’t vote for Bliar because of Iraq, but being as most of them are on benefits or work for the state they voted in their own self interest and not their moral compass.
How anyone could vote for that corrupt lying fucking jock twat in 2005 is beyond me. And what did Bliar give us? Fucking Muslim suicide bombers on London.
I’m voting for “anybody” too. ;-)
And so will a lot more people!
spoil your ballot !
What says Greens, Libertas or UKIP will be any different. I have seen nothing to suggest they will.
GB says he is going to do something about this on Monday. 20 years late!
DC telling everybody he is doing something about it. I don’t see any one fired or in custody yet.
Get rid of all these corrupt MPs now. Remember to check the ones who tried to cover all of this up and make their thieving secret and within their rules! These are the only people in the country who can steal and get away with it.
The rules need to be changed tomorrow not next month / year and MPs arrested and sent down ASAP.
Nothing less will do GB and DC.
David Clelland who has strongly opposed freedom of information on expenses has paid his partner for her share of their London property. He admits the property was bought for profit and when his partner wanted more profit, she sold the other half to the tax payer. David Clelland’s partner has walked away with more that £80,000 (more than £20,000 profit!!) of tax payers cash. No wonder he didn’t want the tax payer or his constituents to find out. Greedy, robbing, dishonest, money grabbing bastard!! He has been an MP far too long and knows exactly how and where to trough!!
I intend to vote Conservative in the locals and UKIP in the Euro-elections.
However I expect the BNP to make a strong showing both at local and euro level as the Labour “core vote” has disintegrated completely
I don’t know about that. People talk of Labours core vote but the people they are talking about are a much diminished voting working class.
The working class barely exists anymore there’s the middles class, people who are transient between workinng and middle and a small number of working class and then the underclass who don’t vote anyway.
The other core is public sector workers who are very unlikely to come out for the BNP. They may just stay home.
We’ll see maybe I’ll be proved wrong.
UKIP as a party is pretty hopeless and if they get elected in any number to Europe it will still be like a form of block and tactical voting on the Eurovision song contest. The UK has no friends in Europe and the biggest enemy are the French followed by Germany.
The French have thumbed their collective noses at us by recently cutting booze and hospitality taxes from 19.5% to just 5% hey ho massive booze cruises this Summer, knowing full well it will stuff UK breweries, real ale, British Wines and so on.
Putting UKIP into Europe at the upcoming elections is also a brilliant move to drive Gordon Brown (convinced the man has had a mental breakdown – hence few personal appearances and the ones he does pitch up at are invited audiences only). I’m also convinced he steeles himself for PMQ’s, then goes into deep depression afterwards. The man has no social life and apparently spends very little (sone o’ the manse syndrome ) has to be forced to buy clothes and suits – does them by batches and you will remember for years he refused to wear formal evening dress. What was that all about?
But back to UKIP, elect them into Europe and they can be ‘the boil on the backside of Europe’, none of their votes will count anyway and they can be voted out at the next election. It puts the skids under Brown and perhaps most of his cronies will lose their collective deposits
The French will do absolutely nothing that is not in their direct national interest, and screw anyone who gets in the way. This is entirely admirable.
It’s time we did the same.
But of course
Sorry it took you so long to understand…
Says the Hungarian married to the Italian.
An argument for tax harmonisation if ever there was one.
Mr Fawkes
In all justice you should lift your ban on the ‘elephant in the room’.
How can a reasoned and FAIR debate take place when one minor party is refused mention by name.
You are behaving like Speaker Martin and half the politicians.
CENSORSHIP.
Lets have a real discussion of the minor parties, their policies and Yes, their flaws.
It won’t go away you know.
Its your heading – lets be open.
I’ve only been reading this blog since the Saturday morning that Draper/McBride story broke in the Telegraph.
I wasn’t aware that mention of a certain party was banned. If this truly the case, I’m suprised as it goes against most of the views held here and is censorship. I take it we’re talking about the “British” party as it were.
We are
I’ve read this blog for a few years now, past MacBride, LabourLists launch back to when Chico was number 1.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/It%27s_Chico_Time
I had no idea that the ‘Party that dare not speak its name’ was banned.
Guido, is this true? If so, is it as a precautionary measure to protect this blog from attack by leftist or because of personal beliefs?
It causes too much incoming crap – bit like bloke domestic violence on R5 phone-ins – all coordinated posting trollers.
Yup, just look at all the posts with links to a certain London paper claiming overwhelming support for fascism.
Remember, the core ideals of the “one who can’t be named” are no different to those of the Nazis in 1932. The core policy is to start a civil war in this country and then step in as the knights in shining armour.
Remember, the SS in Germany were the very terrorists that the Nazis were elected to combat.
642 and 740
I take the point about incoming crap and the 1932 angle is noted. It’s still censorship, and the people aren’t stupid. If you give this lot enough rope they’ll hang themselves. If you look at Draper on Labour list, his over use of censorship in the beginning was a contributing factor to him becoming a laughing stock. People were posting on there, getting censored, then posting on here saying
‘Draper, I know you’re reading this, why cant I say…….’ Just because you, me or others don’t agree with it, or find it offensive, does not mean it should be censored. The Unnamed would not be where they were in the polls if their thoughts and musings on all maters were more widely available.
censorship is doing them a favour.
PS – their rise started before the criminality tsunami by our MPs became news
There’s another good reason why they shouldn’t be allowed on here. Just look at all the crap they post elsewhere and you soon realise that they are totally unable to form a coherent argument. Their only angle is to attack everyone who disagrees with their lies. In the end all you’re left with is repeated attacks against posters instead of genuine debate.
At least Thick As Thieves can sometimes make a good point.
968 Alien8
‘that they are totally unable to form a coherent argument. Their only angle is to attack everyone who disagrees with their lies. In the end all you’re left with is repeated attacks against posters instead of genuine debate.’
now I’m confused, are we talking BNP or Labour?
lol, in that respect there’s not much difference…
The press are now complicit in putting it about that MPs have been suspended. NOT ONE MP HAS BEEN SUSPENDED FROM PARLIAMENT.
Ian Dales writes that heads have rolled. NOT ONE HEAD HAS ROLLED.
Itsa CON!!
……I’m still trying to tempt you with my delicious new recipe black pudding…..

PS I’m fast running out of wool!

So a nice ashtray, a comfortable speed, a pleasant empty road, a sunny day, – and the world is mine! (or for as long as the fuckers will let me!).

Nowhere, thank goodness. Sharing space with a smoker is like being trapped in a lift with someone who hasn’t showered for three months but farts all the time. Plus, they set fire to buldings and drop litter everywhere.
Go to:
http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/please-go/#detail
and petition Gordon Brown out!! If we get enough votes this might help the push towards a general election.
59,304 and counting…
Is it little wonder that all three major parties want us to remain part of the European POLITICAL Union? Brussels is afterall where failed Westminster politicians go to ride on the gravy train.
I agree with the advice on voting but think people do need to have the opportunity to display their anger – and if this isn’t by way of a peaceful but angry march, the anger will turn nasty.
That votematch.com is interesting. Looks like Libertas for me, particularly at the European level.
Time to move to the Swiss system of all major decisions by referendum. Politicians hate it, which is its finest endorsement.
And, like the Swiss, we need to arm the people. It keeps the politicos on their toes. Remind me who the President of Switzerland is? You don’t know, and nor do many Swiss, because it doesn’t matter.
It’s Sepp Blatter innit?
Yes, re Switzerland – interesting how one of the most peaceful and prosperous nations in the world is also the one where every adult male aged 19-31 serves in the militia and has a right to keep a gun at home.
Not a right, a duty: they are issued. My dippy mate in Luzern has a fucking great big Steyr assault rifle in his attic. No ammunition though, that is stored locally to be distributed in time of crisis. And no Swiss would be capable of even *thinking* of getting hold of *illegal* ammo so no Septic-style massacres.
They have to keep guns at home as part of the National Militia, but the authorities keep the ammo
Actually every citizen soldier is issued with 80 rounds to be kept with his assault rifle. As well as that, 7.5mm and 5.56mm ammunition is available at the rifle range which every Swiss village has. The Swiss aren’t thick, the point about having a citizen army is that every man is armed and can be mobilized without delay. No point issuing them all with rifles, and keeping the ammunition under lock and key at the quartermaster’s stores.
Actually no, not any longer:
“Every soldier equipped with the Sig 550 assault rifle is issued 50 rounds of ammunition in a sealed box, to be opened only upon alert. The ammunition is then loaded into the rifle magazine for use by the militiaman should any needs arise while he is en route to join his unit. Any other use than this, or even unsealing is strictly forbidden. Since summer 2007, no new boxes are issued, and the ones in private homes are collected.”
Wiki
Good post.
It would seem that the political classes in other countries will be looking at the UK nervously as this is bound to spill over into expenses claims made by Euro MPs.
They are already getting worried in France…….
If Europe is such a great place, why do they all vote against us in the Eurovision song contest? We aren’t the only country who put forward shite songs.
Good post Guido, we do need to use our votes wisely though.
A vote for the BNP could help labour in the long run http://www.aaaaargh.wordpress.com
Local elections don’t matter – vote for anyone.
EU Elections – kill the institution – fill it with racist facists (as close to gunpowder as we can get) and watch it blow.
well said aaargh – stand up and be proud of the Union Jack – use your vote wisely (Ve haf Vays of making you Wote)
Camoron didn’t take the whip off Bob Spink, he resigned from the Tories and joined UKIP months ago. Bob has, in fact, said that he has no dodgy expenses and has been voted best value MP.
What’s going to be different about the parties you suggest? Prominent ‘Greens’ will be taken on by the big energy companies as ‘Special Environmental Advisers’ – a huge trough. Something like this happened to ‘Greenpeace’ Grandees I believe. UKIP? I maybe wrong, but aren’t two of their people under investigation for possible fraud? No, Guido, I think its time for real change.
In Scotland, thank goodness, we have the option of the SNP if we want good governance and honesty
Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha !
You are being sarcastic, I take it?
The SNP have been a breath of fresh air although it may take some time yet to totally clear the stench of Labour.
I wonder if David Marshall will be getting investigated.
Any ideas, Someone from Scotland?
Like building a Scottish Parliament building how many millions over budget???????
Check back and see who commissioned the building.
I am Scots, but no leftie and no Nat.
That said, I’m impressed so far with SNP and their competence.
They have demonstrated their ability to govern AND they are the party of opposition in Scotland.
Their leader, Salmond, was a senior Economist (for RBS amongst others) who despairs at the lack of understanding of finance and economics by Chancellors such as Brown and Darling !
As Tories have little chance in most parts of Scotland, I’d certainly urge anyone who detests Labour to vote for their main opposition whoever that may be.
My English colleagues should agree that if the Labour vote is decimated in Scotland (by SNP) then that in itself almost guarantees no NuLabour government in UK.
I’m showing leadership. That’ll be no 31 I’ve fucked.
On Andrew Marr Show, Lord Falconer said that the investigation into MPs expenses will take a long time up to 18 months – WHY – Lord Falconer, you want it to take a long time thereby kicking the ball into the long grass…..it should be done as quickly as possible, before the summer recess!!
It really became the The House of Fraud eleven years ago – Tony Blair took a year to replace Sir Alastair Graham, Chair of Committe of Standards 2003 to 2007, who wanted reform.
Pretty please, get Tony Blairs expenses for his full term and publish abroad – any European newspaper …..
Funny how it didn’t take them 18 months to put together a dossier to invade Iraq.
Apparently an MP can “flip” a house a put in a claim in less than 45 minutes !
In 18 months many of these troughers will have gone; there’ll be a new government to blame and public attention will have moved on. It’s an insult.
It does not take 18 months to put the frauds in Court and condemn them to prison time.
A few weeks if the Met.CSP move their arses…
He said that assuming there were prosecutions, it would drag out for 18months – ie from charge to trial.
That’s why it would be so damaging to Parliament.
He’s Tony Blair’s old flatmate
COVER UP AND SPIN AND BALLS
Clegg was lucid and straightforward – Brown and Cameron must join this and Speaker Martin should make a statement to the House tomorrow
Guido to stand for Euro election please.
Guido for Euro PM.
Oh sod it. Get rid of the queen!
Guido for President.
Why not just bend over you yelping brown-nosed whore.
Someone may be able to confirm this but I think it is the policy of the unmentionable party.
Over here corruption is on an amateur scale.
It’s the ones in Brussels/Strasburg that know how do it as a profession.
The system in Europe is known as SISO Sign In Sod Off.
This is the system Brown wanted and pushed on YouTube.
NO
FIFO
FIRST IN FIRST OUT…
There is only the principle mission of UKIP I care about. Once this is achieved we can move forward and using democracy we get our house in order-order. That is the difference. They are the unlocked back room window we find when we’ve lost our house keys.
I keep going through phases of liking and hating the EU, I do like the appeals court in certain situations it has stopped our government from being corrupt and authoritarian…
However, just look at the Eurovision song contest for one moment and you’ll see how utterly gay europe is : (
Fuck it, for all people say about america they don’t produce fucking europap.
War vs Eurovision, i’ll take war please.
Incisive political comment. Thought of standing for public office?
Say No To Eurovision Party?
Step down, when did this old git ever step up?
Waste of space.
Taxi anyone?
On me.
We must ensure that those MPs who have been honest and not milked the system are given as much prominence as the crooks. But all the crooks need rooting out and deselecting. Activists be warned – the public will not put up with your cosy little rackets any more, you had better deliver decent honest people for selection and not just the incumbent.
Oh, and in regards to the MPs salaries – there are hundreds of good people that would do their jobs for the existing salary, they do not need more money! It is a complete fallacy that the more people are paid the better quality people we get. Usually we get money grubbers.
Sad news for you, but the electorate are, by and large, halfwits. Churchill once said that the best argument against a democracy is one 5 minute conversation with the average voter.
There needs to be huge change, not just to the expenses system, but the the whole house. When will we find out the expenses of senior civil servants? After all, we pay their wages as well, and I’m certain that many Whitehall mandarins are on the make too (They just aren’t in the public eye as much).
Labour, with a little help from its friends, the Opposition and the wholly-owned media, has achieved their long-shared goals of wrecking the economy, social cohesion and faith in our parliamentary and legal systems.
No wonder that Brown can’t stop himself from smiling “inappropriately” and that Question Times are such rollicking fun for all involved.
If you vote for any party except Guido’s and the Establishment’s official bogey man, remember to switch off the lights before bottling it to pastures new.
UKIP will be getting my vote, not just in the June elections but the big GE when the Clown grows some balls and calls it.
Have you ever tried to get 640 people into a hat?
Well maybe we could have a weally weally big hat.
I have a feeling one of the minority parties may be a little like ABBA. An awful lot of people listening to them like what thet hear but dont feel able to admit it to their friends.
How do you spell ABBA backwards?
ABBA?
Waterloo.
yeah, i remember ABAB – the blonde one – voted the pertest bum in the history of mankind.
Yeah but went all Garbo-esque and stopped showing it off.
Oi!, what’ve I done wrong?
Yes vote for this “Anyone” sounds great and can’t be any worse than the thieves we already have!
didn’t the telegraph have this info long before mcbride wen though?
Get the GB.
Get the queen out.
Guido for president
Gordon for next Queen?
We’d like you to click on more of those fucking adverts for a start.
Yep – UKIP for the Euros for me. Dave’s on probation for the GE – the abolition of CCHQ blow-ins, universal local re-selection and local primaries may earn him my GE vote. Maybe.
I wouldn’t worry about UKIP MEPs getting too comfortable there, or about their current probity. Once the Westminster storm gathers strength it will tear through Brussels like a hurricane.
hear hear Mr Dick – very eloquently put if I may say!
There is also Jury Team who are independents, so each sits differently cross the policial spectrum.

Jury Team – good idea in theory, although I do have more than a little problem with Paul Judge, the man behind them.
He was implicated in the 1993 Asil Nadir enquiry regarding dodgy donations to the Tories (he was their director-general at the time), and tried and failed to sue the Guardian over their story,
Madan Guillotine, I believe you give a very close shave
Vote green? they are the Tomato party, start of green then turn completely red as they come into the sunlight.
Guido you will have to do better than this shit!
Jury Team.Sorry, wasn’t very impressed with this lot either.A woman with PR experience, why do we need any more of them? Also some very dodgy sounding qualifications/experience.The usual leftie ‘I want to change the world’ blah blah.Yep so did I when I was 18.Actor,teacher,social worker, solicitors type.NO,NO a thousand times NO.That’s why we have ended up with Haze,Jacqui,Hattie et al.Where were all the wealth creators? We need hard-nosed business people who will stand up for us against the EU.Also people who have brilliant communication/debating skills. We need people with drive and energy and passion.
tut tut tut, read this slowly and understand it, you, might best take few moments to take it in, first, every perosn in this country, who knows the political system, and understands it, is in it for the money and filling their own pockets, i am at the moment listening andf wathcing william hague, on hardtalk on bbc 80, this is the little wiliie who earns over £750.000 a year outside his job of being an m.p. while at the same time telling andrew neil his allownaces from being an m.p. are minimal, well no wonder willie, while he tells him , being an m.p. is a full time job, he still manages the above and also to write books about historical , politicians, we willie , so honest, and honurable, always using the word resent. he resents , anyone saying m.p.s dont do a full days work, no one could find mr morley on thursday and friday, so where was he, can an m.p. just take days off his work , doesnt he need to telephone someone, like everyone else does to say they are off work , who does an m.p. phone to say he wont be at work , or does he just take a day off and is answerable to who, i am very sorry for making these claims for , bookcases, and widesecreen televisions, but well , well , you know the system allows it , raised eyebrows, really , i am more of a victim here than the ordinary taxpayer. you the tazpayer put this system up there for me to exploit, and as for me me me me i say it is not the system to blame , but dishonest m.p.s . lets be real here, if our m.p.s were not dishonest they would not be making such claims, and some of them like to mention they are not really that highly paid, well let me make this point, why is it that every m.p. who has been caught, and i use the word caught loosely, has been able to reach for their chequebooks, and write out amounts from 200 right up to 40000 pounds, and they feel they dont get paid enough, good god, how i lng for saddam huessin, in these times, you have been caught, out you go you and your family, against the wall, bang bang bang, soon cures the problem of corupption, questiuon time thursday evening margaret beckett, is taken aback, that anyone should have the cheek to ask her if she will pay back the money she has claimed, her reply is, we the people dont reallly understand, how complicated it is to have a grace and favour housing, mr smith and porn videos, for her husband, dry rot in southampton, long grass in wiltshire, and the thing that worries me most, mt hogg with a dirty moat, terrible terrible a member of parliament , with a dirty moat, that needs cleaning just how low can this country sink, allowing such a terrible thing to happen.
Anyone know anything about what Chas “Monkey Lugs” Clarke has been up to?
He quite busy as all MPs this weekend working on who they can blame and perfecting their “It was within the rules” and “I made a mistake” speech’s.
Oh and he doing his expenses as well.
You mean this Cat funt ??
http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/69519/
I think he’s been trying to decide whether to propose the motion for Martin to go.
I agree wholeheartedly. Not using a vote is simply wasting any clout you might have. It will do nothing to change the status quo. Use your vote and use it wisely! Use it to VOTE OUT the crooked incumbents even if you do not agree with the person you are voting for. It’s the only way to get rid of the crooks.
Well done.

Whatever happens vote or not, the main thing is not to vote for parties that tolerate “CROOKS THIEVES AND INCOMPETENTS within their ranks.
Most taxpayers I speak to seem very comfy with that course of action!
Agree totally. White wash at the Euro elections and white wash at the election. Great to see minor party take power. Remember get rid of Red, Orange and Blue MPs who have cheated us all.
The problem with that is what party states they are “GOING to tolerate” these crooks? And most stupid of all are those taxpayers that say they will not vote for anybody. Stupid why? Because that will leave the crooks in power as all their followers and hangers on will continue to vote for them. Wake up you fools who think by not voting you are going to change anything – you will simply leave in place the status quo.
‘And most stupid of all are those taxpayers that say they will not vote for anybody.’
Hello, I’m a stupid taxpayer. There is another way. Register your protest vote rather than abstain, spoil or vote for the fringe eedjits.
http://www.registeredprotest.com
Fine, vote on that site if you think it will matter. Unfortunately it won’t. You’ll just be wasting your real vote and allowing the snouts to continue by default as all their toadies will still vote them in.
Apparently Gordon was summond by Brenda for a very stern talking too. Could be the begining of an end.
Nick Clegg on LBC this morning openly saying the speaker should go, this is against normal protocol that dictates that party leaders keep stum on the subject of the speaker but as Clegg rightly said, these are NOT normal times.
Mick the Mouth is Gordo’s stooge and he has consistantly resisted any transparency. Time for him to Fuck off back to Scotland. As for the Deputy Speaker, he will be out by this time next week, fucking thief.
I am now of the opinion that UKIP is, despite past sin(s) the best bet to get us out of the EU trough and give all the troughers and control freaks in Brussels/Strasbourg or wherever they go, a good sound kick up the arse. They (UKIP) are in favour of trade ties but not political control and that in itself (restoring our Sovereignty) would probably give our troughers something to do in Parliament, rather than concentrate on enriching themselves. Other than them and Hannan it’s the MRLP or some Sutch choice.
UKIP have done B all for 10 years.
They are an establishment con trick, a trash can for harmlessly neutralising anti EU votes.
Sad to watch so many falling the the old con trick again.
The reason d’etre of UKIP vis a vis the EU is exactly the same as the SNP and the UK. Time to dump the disaster of the UK. Vote SNP for a proper voice for Scotland in or out of the EU. England can then freely vote for nutters like UKIP without harming us.
According to Bagehot in a Constitutional Monarchy – the Sovereign has the right to be consulted;the right to advise and the right to warn. Consider it that Brown has had the benefit of the last two.
It is theoretically possible I suppose after having taken advice from both the Prime Minister of the day;senior politicians(who are normally also Privy Councillors)the Sovereign could consider that their Coronation Oath to defend the Constitution has been compromised and could advise the Prime Minister to seek an Immediate Dissolution which would be granted to seek a new mandate but if the Prime Minister refused short of threatening to abdicate the Sovereign can do little else although the mere fact that a much loved and respected Monarch as QE2 would threaten to do so would precipitate a constitutional crisis of such magnitude not seen since the reign of Edward VII in 1910 that no serving Prime Minister could expect to survive particularly if all the Opposition Parties were against him.

Windfarms are a joke and a blight on the landscape. To have enough bird-slicers to power the UK there would have to be so many that with the first decent gale the country would take off like some bloody great sycamore seed coming to land again in Siberia.
The turbine a local councillor put up in her garden has now been taken down again after just 6 months — doesn’t work. Or she put it up to get the £7k government subsidy and having got that, she doesn’t need it any more — another £7k con with our money.
Did Dave’s turbine ever get put up again?
@167
£2.5k is the maximum you can get under the Low Carbon Building Programme grant scheme for a wind turbine.
You’re quite right about the Greens but not the UKIP. Two of their people were nicked but the UKIP promptly threw them out. The timing of the second arrest was a bit suspicious though.
Take a look at this – http://doverwatch.blogspot.com/2009/04/misapplied-misdirection.html
This is McBride’s pension pot.
Its worked quite well for the last few hundred years.
The greens? use to have one Co2-emitting garbage truck picking up one wheely bin.
Now have three Co2-emitting garbage trucks in a queue, one picking a bin full of papers, one a bin full of bottles and the other a bin full of chicken bones and they all end up in the same land-fill…..environmental codswallop.
The globe is cooling. More vans needed!
That’s what all those huge fans are for: they use the surplus cheap power from nuclear stations to provide cooling breezes. It’s official greenwibble policy.
Bring back Blair.
Don’t you mean B’ Liar?
War criminal should be in jail.
Zut alors mes enfants!
Leave not a head on any of their vile bodies.
Where’s my knitting?
War Criminal.
Good idea.
Then clap the twat in irons!
I’m a regular kinda guy……….I ripped ypu all off regularly.
I can attest to that.
Any your missus is on the take too. You are part of the problem B’liar so Foxtrot Oscar. We dont want you as EU President. In fact I dont want an EU President at all….I dont want to be part of the EU!
Excellent, Mr 23!
Excellent.
I particularly like their ‘Eurofit’ policy :
”The European Constitution which will be sorted out by going for a long Walk, as everyone knows that walking is good for the constitution.”
Presumably they mean a long walk in the woods.
Now, now Derek!
The politico’s are still using that time honoured stopper, time, they still haven’t heard that the sheeple are in a bad mood and they think time will shut the problem down and all they have to do is wait out the smellygraph news cycle and all will be well ,sadly they may be right.
“It is high time for Me to put an End to your Sitting in this Place, which you have dishonoured by your Contempt of all Virtue, and defiled by your Practice of every Vice;
Ye are a factious Crew and Enemies of all good Government; Ye are a Pack of mercenary Wretches and would, like Esau, Sell your Country for a Mess of Pottage; and like Judas, betray your God for a few Pieces of Money; Is there a single Virtue now remaining amongst you?
Is there one Vice that you do not possess? Ye have no more Religion than my horse! Gold is your God: Which of you have not bartered your Conscience for Bribes?
Is there a Man amongst you that has the least care for the Good of the Commonwealth?
Ye sordid prostitutes! Have you not defiled this Sacred Place, and turned the Lord’s Temple into a Den of Thieves by your immoral Principles and wicked Practices? Ye are grown intolerably odious to the whole Nation.
Your Country therefore calls upon me to cleanse the Augean Stable, by putting a final Period to your Iniquitous Proceedings in this House, and which by God’s Help, and the strength He has given Me, I now come to do.
I command ye, therefore, upon the Peril of your Lives, to depart immediately out of this Place;
Go! Get out! Make haste, ye Venal Slaves, begone!”
Oliver Cromwell 1653.
I’m going to have to disagree with a blanket rejection of a politician just because s/he belongs to a mainstream party. I have no doubt there are good, bad and indifferent politicians in all parties and that includes the minor one. What is wanted is more political engagement not less. It is easy to snipe from the sidelines, much less easy to play the game. People should try and find out more about candidates other than a party label before they vote. The first time I voted I went to the public meetings of all the candidates. I agree it was a little dispiriting on that occasion because they were all pretty unimpressive but it was better than blindly voting for one candidate out of some sense of tribal loyalty.
Where’s my knitting?
Making Shreddies?
Good post. And we now have sufficient information about all the MPs so we can now vote accordingly regardless of party. There are some honest MPs and it is a shame they are being tarred with the crooks.
If your incumbent MP is one of the devious crooks, no matter how small the amount in monetary terms – VOTE THEM OUT. If they are one of the good guys and you want to vote for them and the party then do so.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR CLOUT BY NOT VOTING AT ALL – this will simply leave the crooks in place!
I agree, my MEP is Dan Hannan and our prospective next MP is a Libertarian associated with Douglas Carswell. I shall be voting for both.
This just shows how these people aren’t competent. Anyone competent would, by definition, be abe to budget. Competent people cut their coat according to their cloth – they ‘manage’, in the true sense of the word, juggling priorities and making decisions according to their means.
This lot just bleat for more.
This time round the peasants revolt has to work better – We should force ALL constituent parties to choose completely new candidates.
Never mind voting UKIP or Green or anything else on the ‘fringe’ It’s not the Parties we need to change. They are irrelevant. It’s the idea that the same people can put themselves forward.
This time round try and decide who might be least ‘corrupt’ and use your vote
Anybody got a spare pitchfork?
…..I have a new recipe for making black pudding…..
where’s my knitting?
Bring back the Natural Law Party. They promised to make the trains run on time by the power of meditation. Also yogic flying (in the Lotus Posture) for all. I saw an interview with them on the telly, all these people with their legs tied in a reef-knot, heaving themselves into the air and then coming down again. The interviewer asked whether they were supposed to stay up — the guru, or whatever he was, said they’d got the first bit sorted (getting up there) and were working on the rest.
Wonderful stuff. Their manifesto ran to about 300,000 words of utter tosh. I’d vote for them in a heartbeat.
But surely it is also about confidence by a party, impetus, being on a roll; whatever you want to call it.
Not withstanding this expenses crisis and disillusion in the electorate there will still be many who will remain determined to get rid of Brown and New Labour and who accept the reality that a mainstream party, almost certainly the Tories, will form the next government. It is also reasonable to assume that the expenses/sleaze crisis is in the early stages of being dealt with and that in the future MPs will be forced to behave in an entirely different way.
Therefore it will be important for those who might have intended to do so to still vote Tory at the June elections so as to generate the momentum which may continue until the general election.
Ukip, the Greens and Libertas are unlikely to save us from Brown.
If you are think of voting Green then perhaps you’d like to watch the Green MEP in this youtube like. She’s classic.
Thank you so much for re-posting that link.
EVERYONE WATCH THIS VIDEO LINKED ABOVE.
If you thought the MPs expenses were bad the MEPs REALLY take the piss. This is the SISO (sign in, sod off) system that GB was desparate to introduce, Dan Hannan has some good stuff on his blog about how corrupt they all are…
Just don’t vote Labour or (i don’t suppose you would anyway) LibDum or Tory
I would just like to state that I will be returning the pizza wheel cutter to M&S.
Now fuck off.
Can you just use it on your wrists first please. Thieving fecker.
Guido,
better start pushing Brown to review receipt information going back 8 years!!
If memory serve me correctly, the challenge to gain access to this information started 4 years ago. The switched on MP’s cleaned up their act, good for us most didnt. I think there are more dark skeletons in them closets.
I would particulalrly like to know about Blairs receipts, and who authorised the shredding of his information……
Gotta go now, gonna force down the putrid bile I have in my throat will a good old english breakfast….
The so called “mistaken” shredding of Blair and Martins expense claims is taking the piss of the highest order.
And I should also add is clearest evidence yet of the total corruption in Westminster.
I am still waiting to hear there is more on Balls and Cooper – there must be – mustn’t there?
Please if you know it – tell it – it seems hopeless waiting for the Labourgraph to spill the full beans
Personally I take the long term view, I believe that our problems will not go away by preserving a broken system, continually switching from one bunch of nutters, crooks/incompetents to another.
I favour the “non-voting” at all brigades, because it is the system that is broken.
Non voting will lead to a constitution crisis which will not go away until only those that really believe they can make a difference by “ADMINISTERING” THE UK FOR THE PEOPLE OF THE UK” will be willing to do it in the sunlight of an open and transparent system. Fairly rewarded and respected.
I see little contrition at Westminster only a desire to maintain the Status Quo.
Far too many at Westminster think the majority are wrong and a small minority are have the right and take the people as fools Guido is right about that.
However if you must vote I agree with Guido, it won’t do any harm based on MP’s self serving performance so far.
Some prick on sky at the moment has just the funniest thing!
He is saying the public have trust in some MPs?
What planet does he come from! Idiot.
But I do trust MPs.
I trust them to be greedy, troughing, lying scum.
If he looked like Herbert from Family Guy it would have been Pound….Shilling.
1. She pays tax like us (probably more tax than us) and has done for some years.
2. She cannot comment on individual parties, MPs or take sides.
3. She’s registered her deep concern to Gordon Brown about the reputation of parliament, and apparently had a full and frank exchange of views with him on Wednesday… (that means a row).
4. It is only ‘convention’ which prevents her from taking direct action and Brown knows it.
He’s not called “Macavity” for nothing. You can depend on our “fearless” Prime Minister to “take to the hills at the first sound of gunfire and the whiff of cordite” whilst good ol’ “Charlie” Faulkener acts as decoy !
That chap who turfed Alan Ducan, nicked his sods and planted his dirt with a pound sign in flowers that looks like a UKIP logo…Is he a UKIP supporter ?
More like a Fulham supporter by the look of it.
9,688 majority?
Not after the next general election he fucking wont the thieving vermin, if Dave had any sense he would deselect any MP with his fingers in the till and bring in new uncorrupted blood BUT he wont of course!
The greedy troughing MPs rely on our apathy so they can continue shagging up the arse without even giving you a reach around. VOTE the condescending thieves out!
I think a surprising number of people will “give a shit” about the Euros given the background level of sleaze to which they have become well used concerning the gravy train that is the Euro parliament.
(It would be nice to think the DT will have some facts and figures to publish about MEP’s too in the coming days).
As such, a vote for UKIP probably deserves to be recognised as more than a mere protest.
Is this happening? Rally on Wednesday at PMQs?
http://www.liberalconspiracy.org/2009/05/16/shahid-malik-is-being-used-as-a-scapegoat/#more-4830
does them by batches and you will remember for years he refused to wear formal evening dress. What was that all about?
Inverted snobbery and the fact that he is a charmless hoon!
If to-day is Sunday – I must be “somewhere else” !
We need “none of the above” on our ballots then if that wins we rerun the vote and none of the previous chancers get to play.
Yep that will work. Once “None of the above” is voted in, those that lost have one month to get either their act together, or some one else to stand for election. A new vote is then taken. So on and so on untill someone gets the eletorate to back them and give them a chance in Gov.
Good thought – I always wondered how and when McPoison would get his revenge on Brown et al. for dropping him in the brownstuff and then disowning him.
Even if the Balls’ story didn’t make headlines it didn’t need to as we all know they are both fraudulent anyway.
Guido, I reckon the major parties are shitting bricks already.
Gordon would do well today to go down into his bunker today and say to himself. “What would Tony do?” who probably asked himself “What would Maggie do?” who probably asked herself “What would Churchill do?”
In Brown’s case it would probably be Chamberlain !
… who maybe asked himself “what would nannie do?”. :-)
I don’t think Nanny would have stood for what he has been up to!
He has been a very naughty PM
Not voting is the wrong “solution”… It merely multiplies the effect of the “party faithful” – who’d vote for a pig if it had the right colour rosette – and ensures that the big parties end up with the same share of the votes cast.
A protest vote is the right move.
zut alors!
….you really should try some of my new recipe black puuding instead….
…..where’s my knitting?…..
“The Beast” is STILL an amusing tosser though ! He’s like that old bloke in the corner of the pub who always sits in the same chair and cadges a pint off anyone daft enough to buy him one !
The greens are a bunch of real fascist bastards, marxist to the core they hate humanity like poison, most of the green MEPs are bent as nine bob notes and as corrupt as any nulab bastard.
The greens are a bunch of miserable hair shirt wearing arseholes, a vote for them is a vote for eco fascism.
Greens = Watermelons
Green on the outside , red at heart.
….where’s my knitting?….
Hitler killed 10 Million and was rightly labelled a monster.
According to the well documented words of the leaders of the green movement, Climate Alarmists (greens) want to kill BILLIONS and they are given the Nobel Peace prize.
The Greens are the most dangerous party on earth. At the highest level they are communists who want to sacrifice billions of people to their “goddess” Ghia.
They do not want clean energy, they do not want a clean earth as they fight against real clean technologies. They just want us dead.
They should practice what they preach and kill themselves.
Can we asume that you are not a green then? Don’t answer that.
I hope we get a chance to see what our local councillors have been fiddling from the Tax payer.
Like the other 4,000 holes in Blackburn Lancashire?
Why so little mention of the appalling BallsnCooper – nothing on Beeb or Sky news and virtually nothing in MSM – the FLIPPED three times for God’s sake
They’ll be claiming their child benefit too, no doubt. I’m all for suppporting kids, but I’ve never understood why it isn’t means tested above a certain threshold.
“On its world, the people are people. The leaders are lizards. The people hate the lizards and the lizards rule the people.”
“Odd,” said Arthur, “I thought you said it was a democracy.”
“I did,” said Ford. “It is.”
“So,” said Arthur, hoping he wasn’t sounding ridiculously obtuse, “why don’t people get rid of the lizards?”
“It honestly doesn’t occur to them,” said Ford. “They’ve all got the vote, so
they all pretty much assume that the government they’ve voted in more or
less approximates to the government they want.”
“You mean they actually vote for the lizards?”
“Oh yes,” said Ford with a shrug, “of course.”
“But,” said Arthur, going for the big one again, “why?”
“Because if they didn’t vote for a lizard,” said Ford, “the wrong lizard might get in. Got any gin?”
“Some people say that the lizards are the best thing that ever happened to them,” he said. “They’re completely wrong of course, completely and utterly wrong, but someone’s got to say it.”
“But that’s terrible,” said Arthur.
“Listen, bud,” said Ford, “if I had one Altairan dollar for every time I heard one bit of the Universe look at another bit of the Universe and say ‘That’s terrible’ I wouldn’t be sitting here like a lemon looking for a gin.”
UKIP is is then.
So there we have it the Tory’s rep on Adam Boulton when asked to vote if the speaker should resign refused to raise his arm and sided with Stephen Pound…There’s not a rollup paper between New Lab and New Con.
Of course not – Martin is the “fall-guy”,the one who you chuck overboard from the sinking lifeboat or off the sledge when being pursued by hungry wolves. You would expect that the majority of MPs will vote for his removal with relish – anything to save themselves after all it’s the “systems fault” and who is in nominal charge of the system ?
WHAT IS THE CONSERVATIVE PARTY UP TO ?
CLEAR FRAUD BY MACKAY AND KIRKBRIDE – STILL MPS WITH TORY WHIP
MANY OTHER CON MPS CAUGHT FRAUDING – NO WHIP WITHDRAWN
JUST A BUNCH OF CROOKS LIKE THE OTHERS ,
AND A CRIMINAL SPEAKER AND THE CONS DON’T CALL TO SACK ?HIM
CAMERON CLEARLY HAS NO COJONES
BUT IS SUPPOSE YOU CAN SEE THAT IN HIS WET FACE..
I AM AN EX TORY VOTER…
This commercial was brought to you as a public service. No animals were harmed during its making.
I believe Nadine has a house in his constituency already
Oh, come on Batko, where’s your sense of humour? It’ll be like shooting Red Fascists in a bathtub!
It’s an old trick. You don’t say No; just ‘yes’, ‘of course’, or ‘we must’. Then do fuck all.
If you must vote bear in mind the crooks/incompetents and theives will “just switch parties”
Question: How many ex Communists run the so called new Russia?
Answer: All or most.
Question: How many ex KGB run the country.
Answer: All or most!
Question: How much real say do the people have?
Answer: None!
Power and greed comes with any tag especially when the price is paid by somebody else!
No, you’re right and I agree completely. I should have included that.
Would that help the shortage of affordable homes?
I had missed last week’s HIGNFY when Alan Duncan appeared but caught up last night when the excellent Rolph Harris chaired and they showed a clip from Duncan’s performance, contrasting it with his terror some days later. His smug arrogance in reply to Ian Hislop’s questions was appalling.I do not know why Cameron has not sacked him.He is one of a number of liabilities within the Tory party and desperate times require desperate measures; these swine must go.Turning to the other parties, the same criteria must apply. The voters must have the final say but the politician’s leaders must show ,er, leadership
Let it also be remembered that he said that “Miss California should be murdered” for her “alleged” homophobic comments although he excused that as being said “in humour within the spirit of the programme” and likewise he’d no doubt use the same argument here
I don’t think that’s exactly what he said. If you’re going to quote it, it was:
“If you read that Miss California has been murdered you will know it was me, won’t you.”
And if anything happens to Barack Obama we also know where to look.
There is an unwritten and unsaid rule that you do not know about
Hands off gays otherwise you are HOMOPHOBIC..
They have all the rights you know..and more …!!
i thought that was the mozzies
I’m in a difficult position. I’d like to vote for Daniel Hannan (Tory) who put that one eyed KUNTE in his place the other week. Any man who stands up to McTwat deserves to be voted in. On the other hand having a large vote for UKIP would frighten the political elite.
If you’ve got a good MEP or councillor vote for them. You’ve come first in the MEP lottery of life, ours is some Labour bloke.
Well Hannan is my MEP.
If there’s one MEP we need to return to Brussles (and Strasbourg of course) it is Mr Hannan. I think he’s #2 on the Tories’ list so he’s all but guaranteed his seat.
I am still of the view that if as many as possible actually turn out and vote for someone, then Labour could be 4th or 5th in a lot of regions, and lose almost all their councils – THAT will tell Snotty how much shit he’s in…
I’m voting for him – he found his first Labour voter yesterday.
http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/daniel_hannan/blog/2009/05/16/i_finally_meet_a_labour_voter__but_her_party_faces_obliteration
He posted a great article on his blog a couple of days before saying that he’d give £10 to every Labour voter he came across – ‘you are Dan Hannan and I claim my £10′
Brilliant stuff.
Votin’ this way me hearties…
EU ~ Vote UKIP
GE ~ Tory
Give Nulab, cons a bloody nose. Dave better wake up or face a cat o nine tails.
Yes vote for the likes of Tom Wise MEP.
From the frying pan into the fire.
UKIP is just as bad – if not worse!
How the fuck can UKIP be as bad as Liebour? The fucking Scots have trashed out economy and Country.
Well said, sir.
Do you think there’s anybody in those little parties who could have planned, set, and sprung an ambush as well as Dan Hannan? Think what we’d have missed if there’s been some Green in his seat rather than him on that day.
230 you’re completely right – we need more Dan Hannans in the EU Parliament.
Much better to vote Tory here, show GB how much he is hated. I fear that the biggest party to gain from all this though will be the party no-one talks about..
230, Dan’s more of a libertarian. I doubt Dave was happy about Dan’s YouTube victory because Dan’s views are more popular than Dave’s.
All sitting MPs should be subject to reselection by local parties before the general election, so we can get rid of the dross
The EUSSR really hates Libertas, so Libertas will probably get my vote here in Ireland, as the Irish (pygmy) politicians are scared shitless of them, as they simply don’t understand them at all, they are that far out of touch with reality. If I am in UK I will vote UKIP. The greens are beneath contempt, a party for raging idiots with no self worth as far as I can make out.JD.
NO TO LISBON MEANS NO TO LISBON!
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=38059363467&ref=mf
@127 – you think it’s working well right now? What about the last 12 years – that been going well for you too?
Churchill also said that Democracy was the worst form of Government, except every other type that has been tried. And lets face it – he knew what he was talking about.
[...] the uproar that the last week of revelations has caused among the wider public, attention has understandably focussed on the worst excesses of the worst [...]
These MPs should all be deselected. Many of them will have put in their campaign literture at the last election that they lived in the constituency. Remember, some of these Labour MPs represent some of the poorest areas in the country.
They told the expenses office they lived somewhere else and that the home in the constituency was a second home. Then flipped againto lie to the taxman and avoid Capital Gains Tax when they sold the second home. Not forgetting the flipping to take more expenses for doing the place up prior to playing the property market. And have no doubt, some will have claimed their holiday home in the country as their main residence.
Liars, cheats & tax dodgers! They lied to the poor and stole from the poor. Rather than deselection, they should be kicked out of the Labour Party before going on trial for fraud.
Things can only get better!
mes enfants!
Spare a thought for this poor old woman!……Mamam knows best!
……I will soon need some more wool……now where’s my knitting?
Maman I am bring my stool and my knitting needles.
But first,
1) The Met should prosecute all those MP’s guilty of fraud. If they don’t the Taxpayers Alliance should pursue them through the courts – I for one will support that with a donation.
2) We need is a very public list of all the MP’s who have not made claims and I feel sure there are a few hundred of them. These should be allowed to stand again. In corrupted constituencies they need to choose new candidates who will pledge to be honest and open. Mr Malik, Ms Moran and their ilk must go.
3) We need the Speaker to go now. He has been shown to be as corrupt as any one of them. He should not be allowed to delay so that he can collect a £100,000 handout and a Lordship and then hand his Constituanecy over to his son. That is called nepotism. This is England. Go back to Scotland Gorbal Mick and live on your ill-gotten gains. Your constituancy needs honest aspiring MP’s and your son needs to get a ‘proper job’.
4) We need an election Now – it is said the Queen had a frank exchange of views with dear Gordon on Tuesday during ‘his audience’ about this matter – I hope she told him that she will, if he won’t, be calling an election very soon.
And fnally we musn’t forget the corruption in the Lords and especially the illustrious Baroness. The Met must do it’s job and clean out this mafia.
Madam
The SPEAKER HAS PERVERTED THE COURSE OF JUSTICE FOR YEARS NOW.
MOUNTAINS OF EVIDENCE TO PROVE IT.
WE WILL PROSECUTE HIM PERSONALLY
Your honourable Commissioner
Commissioner of the Met -
Good – I hope you will prosecute the Speaker amongst others in the Commons.
But to the Tax Payers Alliance if the Met doesn’t – I hope you will. These criminals must not be allowed to get away with defrauding the British public.
Balls/Cooper, Hoon, Blears, Morley, the Mackays, the Wintertons, Malik, Moran, Darling, Smith, etc etc need to know that they will be relentlessly pursued. Paying Back is not good enough. It wouldn’t work for other criminals, once they were found out, and it musn’t be allowed to work here either.
But Met.Police please also don’t forget about the Illustrious Baroness in the Lords – and others in that ‘other house’. that have attempted to defraud us. She is not the only Lord to be guilty of fraud. The Lords too needs a very close investigation. These dishonest people also must not escape justice.
Time to use the Law to put a stop to troughing. It really is time.
Madam
I wholeheartedly agree.
As you know, I have been inviting citizens to file criminal complaints with my Office on this blog (Guido can confirm that !) since before the Taxpayers Association and the Daily Mail cottoned on… The movement of now beginning to pick up steam..
There ie heavy work to do and we are always grateful for citizens support (even thoigh my men have made mistakes before.. I can assure you I personally had nothing to with the Damien Green fiasco)
I will do everything in my power and I believe we will successfully prosecute some of these blighters…
BUT KEEP SENDING IN THE CRIMINAL COMPLAINTS..
WE NEED A PILE AGAINST SPEAKER BROWN FOR FLAGRANT PERVENSION OF THE COURSE OF JUSTICE TO STRENGTHEN OUR HAND..
THE PUBLIC INTEREST IS AT STAKE AS YOU KNOW MADAM
Many thanks
Your honourable Commissioner
Hope you have a search warrant this time sassenach arse
Kill a sheep then and stop bleating!
Bring on the tumbril
Definitely a sign of things to come. Increased devolution to constituency parties (and hence constituents) is something to be encouraged and will go a long way towards cleaning things up.
god save the queen and her bolshevik regime
stupid wanker
I totally agree with your sentiment and logic…
The problem is that whilst those with centre/right politics will vote UKIP (sensibly) the centre/left will only ever vote labour or not at all.
The problem being that enough tory voters will vote UKIP but the Labour core will remain brainwashed loyal and Labour might end up looking better than they might.
What do you reckon?
……but you never considered this poor old woman……may I recommend my new recipe for black pudding?
….now where’s my knitting?
Keep your knees together ma cher Madame G. I can see your crochet.

the hoons in westminster still think it is their divine right to lord it over us.that will not change. all of them that have STOLEN should be prosecuted.anyone stealing in my local shop is prosecuted.no exceptions……..
as we are now hurtling headlong into a complete betrayal of the nation by sacrificing ourselves to europe i think it is important to note that at least we can still determine our own future by getting rid of uk mps………the eu accounts have not been signed off for over a decade!!!!!!
we will lose any say by further integration within the eussr and we really will be treated with contempt then………
finally re that disgusting thief michael martin: why not have an independant speaker? someone like saddam hussein could have done the job very well…not an mp who wants to line his own pockets but an outsider……..???
Caligula’s Horce for Speaker I tell you…
Cameron must kick out the Toxic Tory Grandees if he wants to clean up the Conservative party and restore trust in Government.
The Tory Grandees should kick out Toxic Cameron they want to clean up the Conservative party and restore trust in Government.
Totally agree – It’s what made the Conservatives unelectable for 12 years. That and some stupid old farts in the Party sounding off every 5 minutes on “re-capturing” the Thatcher so called ‘Glory Years’ !. Cameron is the best hope the Conservatives have – without him they’d have fuck all chance of winning ANY election !
Cameron is not a Conservative. He is just an alternative to Brown and a replacement for Blair. He is the saviour of the political classes. God forbid that a working class person such as Mrs Thatcher should ever become PM of this country ever again…She shook up the system from top to bottom and they did not like it. Far better to have Cameron who will not rock the politiucal class boat.
Totally agree. Get the grandees out. I heard one telling me how he hadn’t done anything wrong and that this must be terribly confusing for the public. Condscending old fart!!
New Labour, Blue Labour; two cheeks of the same arse, with the Lib Dems as the hole between them.
You are so vulgar Odin you sound like my friend PREZZA..

So their lawyer and accountant mates can earn massive fees at taxpayers expenses
It only takes three sheets to the wind…
The others go to the M&S refund counter
If the all parties used the 3 month summer recess (three months for goodness sake !!) to run reselection meetings in all, and I mean all, constituencies then perhaps it could go some way in restoring some sort of confidence in Westminster. Then again…..
Libertas are EU frontmen, Greens are just fucking socialists who want to control every aspect of our lives and love the EU for its ‘European wide role in tacking (pass the sick bag) climate change. they want more fucking green taxes on energy and tax cars off theroad as well so they can fuck off back to their yurts and their organic mung beans.
UKIP it is.
Umm, well done for understanding Guido’s post.
Libertas are Pro EU (just a different version) and their whole reason for existing is to split the ANTI-EU vote. The Greens support global depopulation of the sort that make Hitler look like a damn amateur. Hitler is labelled a monster for killing 10 million people. The climate alarmists want to reduce global population by BILLIONS. UKIP are just as corrupt as the tories.

“That would punish the major parties.”
The Parties are not their MPs. This pathetic argument is ridiculous. If someone commits murder, you don’t punish their family. The answer is to make every MP be put up for re-selection and their behaviour scrutinised by their party members. If you want a say, get off your arse and join a party. Most of this shit is brought about by the apathy and ignorance of the electorate. A Parliament of minor parties and their minor MPs, might be better than Labour ,but only marginally.
UKIP are as fraudulant, scheeming bastards…
apart from the chaps in Gaol, they don’t play fair:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Libertas_United_Kingdom
Libertas UK (abbr. unknown: LUK?) is the name of a political party that is registered to field candidates in England[12] for the 2009 Euroelections.
On 19 December 2008[12] former newspaper editor Bridget Rowe, a friend of Nigel Farage[5] of UKIP registered Libertas UK with the United Kingdom Electoral Commission,[5] making it unclear whether Ganley’s Libertas Party Limited could field candidates in the UK under that name.
Not cricket!
It won’t make any difference in the rotten burghs. Our Government is changed by a handfull of voters in marginal constituencies. When you are MP for a safe Liebour or Tory seat you can essentially do what you like.
In these coming Euro elections the voters have to vote against the big 3 because they will be firing a warning shot across their boughs. The European parliament brings party finance, and all 3 parties need money to fight elections. There may be a brief window then when they are willing to listen to us.
We need some fundamental changes.
We need a PR system for elections, with people able to choose from a slate of people from the same party. That will allow those who don’t believe Ms Gould or Mr Martin’s son should be foisted on the country by virtue of heredity, to select a candidate they prefer.
We could do with far fewer of the b’stards. The French have much the same population as we have, and 577 deputies in their lower house. 10% fewer would be a start.
The recall idea that has been bandied about sounds like a damned good idea. If 10% of the registered voters in a constituency want their MP dismissed, then a referendum should be held.
And referenda are a good idea anyway. In Switzerland people get to decide contentious issues. If most folks in the UK wants us to hang murderers ( I don’t myself, but its a whole other issue ), then why the hell should their wishes not be carried? And Lisbon Treaty votes get to be our right, not the gift of some unelected halfwit pretending to be saviour of the world.
But don’t for a minute think that in places like Glasgow, a rogue will be turfed out when he’s found out. They vote for whoever they are given.
Malpaso. If you are going to write at such length and want people to read what you write, please use elementary punctuation including paragraphs. It would also be a great help if you learnt to spell.
Excellent start from Cameron over Brown on the MP Expenses Issue. However, essential that Cameron does not leave it there. It will heal the damage caused by Tory trousering if he publicly boots culprits out of the party.
It appears that “trouser presses” figure prominently in some expense claims
I have nothing catchy and comic for you today, Guido – only that the government has lost its legitimacy.
What it means for each and every one of us to live under illegitimate governance, and where our civic responsibilities and duty to the states now lies, is difficult to say.
dont belive in the crap you are told about how great the eussr is!
£40 million a day !!!!
lots of europeans want OUT!!!!!!

Why don’t you check out what your MP has stolen?
Here is what the Watford one has.
OK lets take a close look and where we can make some saving!
Ward, Claire LAB Watford
2nd home 23,083
Claire Lives just 16 miles from London and Watford has a mainline station into Euston and is on the underground map on th e Metropolitan line. Therefore no need for a second home.
Saving £23,083
Office 15,796
Claire could work from home and use the local council offices to hold her clinics.
Saving £15,796
Staff 94,755
Staffing available at any job center for £6 an hour. Even if they worked full time unlike her lets say 10k to 15k per year. Thats 6 – 9 staff! Why! Or is she paying family and friends?
2 members of staff should be sufficient.
Saving at least £50,000
Stationary 663
Seems a lot to spend on stationary to me. Perhaps its in gold leaf?
Stationary and postage 1,130
Hasn’t she heard of email?
Saving £1,130
IT provision 1,335
Seems a lot for a PC. Dell available for around £300.
Saving £1,000
Communication 7,987
Why isn’t she using a contract mobile with unlimited calls for around £40 a month.
Why isn’t she using MSN or Skype which is totally free.
Costs should be around £500.
Saving around £7,400
Travel 2,451
Probably a season ticket so why is she claiming for a second home.
Reasonable expenses around = £50,000
Total = 147,200
So that’s around £100,00 she stole from the public which was with “their rules”.
She should be investigated and should resign immediately.
The main parties do not want me voting for them. Norman Tebbit doesn’t either. Nor does Guido or Conhome.
Can you guess who i’m voting for?
Miss Whiplash?
I commend the OMRLP (Official Monster Raving loony Party) to readers of this blog

16/05/09 No truer word
“It is high time for me to put an end to your sitting in this place, which you have dishonoured by your contempt for all virtue, and defiled by your practice of every vice;
ye are a factious crew, and enemies to all good government;
ye are a pack of mercenary wretches, and would like Esau sell your country for a mess of pottage…
Is there a single virtue now remaining amongst you?
Is there one vice you do not possess?
Ye have no more religion than my horse; gold is your god; which of you have not bartered your conscience for bribes?…
Ye are grown intolerably odious to the whole nation; ye were deputed here by the people to get grievances redress’d, and are yourselves gone…
In the name of God, go!”

14/05/09 Candidates for June elections
We now have a list of the candidates for the forthcoming elections. We’re a bit thin on the ground but still here:
Howling “Laud” Hope :- Fleet Parish.
Sheikh Mihand :- Sittingbourne-Kent County Council.
Mad Mike Young :- Isle of Sheppey-Kent County Council.
Lord Toby Jug :- St Ives-Cambridge County Council.
Compulsory Voting – unless we all vote it means nothing. We need referenda. We need MP researchers getting out into constituencies to find out what we the voters feel and think about issues.
The party system is undemocratic and bizarre. The country has too choose its parliamentary representatives sponsored by two tiny organisations with a combined membership of less than 400,000. This is the true minority that is running country.
And like any clique mutual hatred is put aside for common objective. That is why the like PR, EU, anything that keeps the status quo going….
I am interested to know how many Wode-wearing ZanuLabour MP’s are left footers?
God. Sir Michael Shite spouting more leftist bollocks on Sky News.
If you vote for any mainstream party in either the local or Euro elections, this time round, let’s be clear, you are saying that you don’t really mind MPs carrying on doing what they have been doing.
They will only learn when you don’t vote for them. Make no mistake.
Broken manifesto committments, like not having a vote on Europe, increasing tax to 50%, all add to voter mistrust and a complete distrust of goverment. In addition, you must also know that the policy of unfetterd mass immigration foisted on this country will have a very big say in how people vote AND SO IT SHOULD. I’ll leave the many reasons why for whenever Guido decides to have an intelligent debate on the subject.
You can really slay that bloated EU dragon too. You must remember that our Parliament is still supreme. Any Parliament can still legisate to undo what the previous Parliament has done. So vote for parties to take out us out of Europe. Do you really believe that this country will collapse if we pull out. So Switzerland and Norway are third world countries are they? Be independent and dont vote for the mainstream parties.
So all in all, you have an opportunity to really punish the mainstream parties.
You will have no right to complain after, if you continue to support the status quo. Go for the nuclear option and blast them all away.
Or maybe you could vote for a party campaigning for the rights of 50 million people who are currently denied their own national legislature?
The English Democrats.
The unmentionables also support an English parliament and a federal system of government.
Who are the unmentionables?
BloomiNg Politicians
Are you 14 yet?
Couldn’t agree more Guido.
Better than blowing the place up.
Just herd the swine out.
Jack
Guido and that traitor on Doverwatch are wrong about the THEM. They are a serious threat and it’s not just them. The Greens have links to eco-terrorism and radical animal rights groups.
A vote for THEM or Green is a vote for Fascism. A vote for UKIP or Libertas is just wasted.
fuck, you just can’t trust anyone these days
too fucking right!
McCann, I’ve wanted to tell you this for quite a while.
Your chips are RUBBISH.
Better chips down the back of our sofa.
Let’s not lose sight of Blair’s £43,000 shredded expenses in all this. That should be investigated.
Also, the MPS who have suddenly discovered how bad their accounting is, has anyone asked how they are suddenly able to find thousands of pounds to make these repayments. That’s a lot of spare cash to have in the bank.
If you are paid £65,000 or thereabouts per annum and most of your living costs are covered by untaxed expenses (as it would seem that some MP’s have assumed), you will accumulate a fair pot of readies over several years.
There must be quite a few “hard-working families” wishing they enjoyed a similar financial position. No wonder they’re peeved.
…along with U*ddin’s marble palace in Bangla desh and her social housing in Tottering Hamlets.
Where are societies leaders?
These politicos go from SU bar to researcher to MP selection list to the House.
Anyone in need of light of light entertainment I have compiled the Top Ten Daily Politics YouTube videos, starting of course with Stephen Crabb asking Gordon Brown about workplace bullying. I’ve seen in ten or twenty times and I’m still laughing. 11,000 + views and counting.
The first seven all have over a thousand views: Top Ten Daily Politics YouTube Videos.
You bastard. You’ve claimed for two lights when you only needed to use one.
Pay it back immediately.
As I’ve argued on my blog at http://www.actuary21c.com/?p=101, the worst 5 or 10 offending MPs need to go, and it is also time for the use of the phrases “The Honourable member for X”, “The Right Honourable member for Y” to stop. If MPs continue using them, it will be a constant and laughable reminder of the expense scandal.
For Brutus is an Honourable man….
WS did satire over 400 years ago
Guido
You’re being entirely inconsistent. And living in the past…
You plot the downfall of the UK political parties – but are content to leave us at the mercy of the EU Parliament.
A modern guy fawkes would be blowing up the EU Parliament FIRST.
Westminster MPs may be bastards, but they are at least our bastards.
Damaging them, but leaving the EU Parliament as it is is worse that the current position.
We can’t destroy it with gunpowder in the basement. But we can destroy it by filling it with racist fascists.
If Westminster was blown up – what do you think would happen next? I’ll tell you – the EU WOULD STEP IN and we would be the first directly ruled state of the EUSSR…
We must destroy the EU Parliament fisrt – fill it with racist facists, and only the italians and a few central european republics will want any thing to do with it…
Anybody else noticed another little scam which appears to be prevelant. That is the reclaiming of hotel bills for stays all over the country. I only say this after reading Nadine Dorries’ denial on her website http://blog.dorries.org/blog.aspx.
It appears she tried to submit a hotel stay bill in the name of Mr N Dorries though claims she did not stay there. I think we have a scam here whereby people stay in hotels under MP names and then get the bill reimbursed via the MP.
Surely this is fraud and needs looking into by the police.
She signed the claim – it is her responsibility.
However, on this I can believe that someone would trust an assistant and sign with out checking every line.
So Nadine has been tricked, she should call in plod – any failure to do so and she takes the wrap.
This one only came to light because it was disallowed (as the commons weren’t sitting) how many just went through on her and other mps expenses…
I think Damian McBride has the answer to this………….
It was all the fault of the PA who did not know the difference between a Mr and a Mrs!
All cats are grey in the dark!
GENERAL ELECTION NOW!
NOBODY HAS CONFIDENCE IN PARLIAMENT THEREFORE TO RESTORE CONFIDENCE WE NEED FRESH MANDATES.
IT IS THE ONLY WAY TO START AFRESH. OTHERWISE THE ROT WILL MAKE MATTERS WORSE.
Also sitting in Brown’s Cabinet is Alistair Darling. The man who makes you pay your taxes.
Manifesto Reminder:
Darling must Go.

I am going to vote UKIP. I think it’s the clearest and simplest way of saying I hate the EU. All the other fringe parties muddle the message a bit more. Cyclops will have a breakdown if UKIP beat him.
I’ve seen posters say UKIP is like ABBA etc – can’t admit to friends lol… well when they criticise me I like to point out what their “mainstream” parties have done – war, complicity in torture, dna database, detention without trial, reading our email, £40m a day to EU, arresting peaceful protesters etc – good way make them think ;)
Oy -= what about my reciprocal health service rights?
Wouldn’t it be nice to have before and after MP picture competition?
Before – a pic of the house they lived in before becoming an MP
After – a pic of the house they live in now.
Especially interesting with Labour.
Politicians used to be weighed before they entered office and after they left, to make sure that they had not become fat at the citizens expense. (Presumably if they were overweight, they had bit cut off).
The modern equivalent would be a declaration of assets. It would however all end up with the assets in the name of the wife, husband, civil partner, son, daughter, cat etc.
My solution is that our politicians declare their assets when entering and leaving politics, and need to be far more honest than the rest of us, not far less. It should be made clear to them that they will be thrown out of Parliament and spend six months in prison for lying. An inordinate increase in assets would be confiscated.
Now wouldn’t that change things!
I want my pound of flesh.
I could volunteer.
Hitchens the Soberer on the Fatty Boulton show appears to be in complete agreement with Guido on this issue.
The Greens are pretty much verging on far-left, their Manifesto for a Sustainable Society is insane and would be economic suicide.
Nothing says to me “Vote QPR” like being told “Don’t vote QPR”
Don’t jump off a bridge, is my advice to you.
No, I think your confusing politics with football there.
The political, parties are as rotten as Parliament because they are all so intertwined.
Suggestion.
The Taxpayer’s Alliance sponsors Independent Candidates for Parliament.
In return for sponsorship the Independents agree to be bound by a code of conduct regarding expenses, and a set of general principles regarding Public expenditure and taxation. The Tax Payer’s Alliance avoids becoming a political party and the MPs remain Independent and unwhipped.
It is important that the candidates are honest with the electorate in declaring their views and principles before election, so that everyone knows where they are.
It would actually be a refreshing change to have MPs with principles and a step on the road towards eliminating political correctness.
If I was standing I would for example declare that I was not homophobic but that I was opposed to adoption of children by gay couples because it breached the rights of the children concerned. The electorate could then decide whether it agreed with me or not. (This is not my only principled opinion, it’s just an example.)
The result would be a truly representative Parliament, with a mandate for low taxation and efficient public services. (Or private services for the public, depending on electoral wishes).
Couldn’t agree more.
There should be one TA candidate per trougher’s constituency, if the Trougher remains in place and isn’t deselected, I’m sure people would willingly contribute to their deposits (is it still £500?).
Although in my constituency, I have an honest MP who’s consistently voted against the amendment to exempt MPs from the FOI. If anyone else is wondering about their MP, look up their voting record… it’s a good pointer.
Great idea. Have you suggested it to them?
All quiet on the porker Baroness Uddin front. Anybody know why?

I am one seriously confused voter and the clock is ticking!
I’m sure Guido is just being even-handed (not FFS “balanced” – every weasels’ favourite) in his suggestions, but anyone voting Green is going to get Red. There are two dangers in this. First, it gives the hat-tip to plain nasty euro-watermelon types like Dani Cohn-Bandit (sic), whose latest antics include the disgusting EU-flag-ragging episode in the Czech president’s office. Second, it is likely to continue to foist us with Scotch mafiosi – merely recall that while the people of Manchester rejected congestion charging by a ratio of 4 to 1, it was rejected in Edinburgh by a mere hair’s breadth. Voters would be merely exchanging the bleatings of self-styled victim culture for the hegelian acrobatic twaddle favoured by administrator types. Right now, any fule can see through the “it was all with the rules” and “it was the system (that done it)” excuses. The last thing people could stand is a lot of porcine bladders arguing the toss over angels on pinheads (imagine Straw x 10 x 646).
Really, what is needed is more hands-on democracy. For example, I want local councils to prepare several budgets for next year: 2009 expenditure, 2009 + 10%, 2009 – 10% (but why stop at 10%?) and let the people vote. The items for cuts and the increases should of course be part of the deal – people need to understand that they are voting for cuts in dustbin inspectors say, rather than finding out too late that the scum have axed essential services for the aged, like checking regularly that they are still alive.
Guido, can I suggest that instead of voting everyone should stop paying taxes and send me a mere £5 per annum . That way ieven though I get fabulously wealthy beyond my wildest dreams I will cost the electorate a good deal less and the fact that I will do absulutely fuck all in return means I cause less harm to society than these interfering hoons.
Everybodys a winner.
I’d send you a fiver… But I don’t know who / where you are.
Damn, forgot. Here it is:
The Chancellor of the Exchequer

London

I see that prick Jim Kerr is on Adam Bolton
Everyone is assuming that the expenses dilemma is just a single issue, and sooner or later will be corrected.
But, the sad fact is the whole system of government is at fault.
We are born into this system of democracy: the laws are established; taxation rules defined; even the method candidates are selected
for election. No one give us the opportunity to say we support this. But, we allow it to continue, because it does not oppress us.
If someone questions the system, the old cry the hospitals and schools will close, and we will descend into anarchic chaos. This is not the case. If there is a need for something, people are quite capable of servicing that need amongst themselves.
But, ask yourself, why is ‘contempt of court’, ‘non payment of fines’, and ‘tax evasion’ so severely punished? Single mothers used to be sent to jail for non-payment of a TV licence. To fear the government, perhaps.
The system has been allowed to become corrupt. Take the public sector for example. Here we have some dedicated employees trying to work efficiently. But, we have an even greater number not doing anything of real value, and impeding the efficient. Endless paperwork and ticking of boxes. The cynical would say to ensure no single person can be accountable., or to provide statistics to be manipulated by the government in power.
In 1900, there were 50,000 public sector workers including local government (HL Deb 07 May 1980 vol 408 cc1655-98). These people ran the country and the empire. But, these workers did not have computers to make them more efficient – they had an efficient system. The examination to become a civil servant was horrendously difficult. About a quarter of workers are now employed by the government.
The financial crisis has been blamed on international banking. This is only one of a series of crises to come. The government has known for a long time that the post war baby-boomers would soon be retiring. No provision for pensions has been made. The public sector and state pensions mostly come out of taxation. The private sector from pension schemes. If any part the private sector fails, it ceases to exist and provide jobs and taxation. This pension bubble will soon burst. You cannot take more from less.
The public sector thinks that their pensions are index linked – just wait and see what happens. They can give you the pension, but they can also give you a heavy tax demand with it.
In June, we all have the chance to vote. Use your vote.
The clear message should be ‘We revoke your right to govern us’.
Simply excellent post. To which I would add:
We simply cannot afford this public sector – and the golden goose that it relied upon has been killed.
For last 10 years we have lived in a divided society – where PS has gained at the expense of the rest.
The Labour party used to uphold the values of the Working Class – now they uphold the values of the NON working class.
The “new” middle classes are the Working Class.
There is no middle class any longer.
Just Working Class and Underclass.
The Conservatives support the ethos of the working class far more closely than NuLabour.
The public sector thinks that their pensions are index linked – just wait and see what happens. They can give you the pension, but they can also give you a heavy tax demand with it.
EXACTLY.
I hear Jon Bercow MP is about to be exposed in the next few days.
I’ll vote for that!
Ill vote UKIP for the euros then
Pounds.
They are all fucking Hoons, what we need are independently minded people not party hacks
I may just stand somewhere(If Im not too pissed)
Why not just lean up against the wall.
No point in stressing yourself.
Where’s Gordon?
His latest communiqué has been made available by the News of the World.

Another bunch of Hoons
The pinks leader has just asked the speaker to resign.
He shouldn’t resign!
He should be fired along with all those MPs and Peers who stole from us.
And as for GB and DC handling of this crisis, they are both pathetic. They have know for decades what has been going on behind the publics backs and if they didn’t they should both resign anyway before we get the chance next year to throw them both out along with all the other stealing B’stards.
Brown sits in his bunker, just waiting for all to this to blow over. He who was born to be Prime Minister, but never ever ELECTED TO IT, neither by his party nor the public, and frightened to call one even though he would have won it.
Tories want to keep the staus quo so they can still afford to get their moats maintained while Labour want to keep it so they can ASPIRE to have a moat, and all paid for by yours truly. Every one has a right to money these days, no one ever talks about earning it. Labour and the Unions have seen to that.
If you don’t vote, you are voting for the status quo; you reap what you sow.
I never was that keen on status quo any way.
Vote non mainstream, but VOTE. Who you vote for in terms of non-mainstream is of course your call.
I like Staus Quo; they made some good songs!
I’m quite up for invading Poland, what party do you recommend?
You’re welcome to it, we’ve moved on.
I’m voting UKIP. I want shot of the whole stinking Euro project, Common Purpose, New World Order and all. At least Muslims are honest in wanting a one-world caliphate.
If you think our MPs are bad, just imagine the porking that goes on in the EU with all those MEPs swanning around away from home. The hotel bills (inclusive of “premium content” movies), the blow-out meals, the air fares, the entertaining… Jaquboot’s bath plug would look humble by comparison.
Guido, can you get hold of Kinnock’s expense sheet?
should that bed Wayne?
Or Juan?
What colour is an orange?, Vote orange
It’s all lies, I tell you.
UKIP aren’t perfect because human beings aren’t perfect but they are the only way to go at the euro elections . The greens are just red in disguise.
The cosy cabal at Westminster (including the Lords and lazy so called investigative reporters) need a severe shake up.We have had enough of being treated with contempt. A wipe out of the so called mainstream parties next month should make them think hard about the general election.
Guido- what the hell is going on with Balls and Cooper- the silence is deafening
Very disappointed by this.
I’d pay good money to watch them hauled over the coals.
Cannot believe they are squeaky clean.
Cover up!
Despie our song being an appaling piece of shite , we still got 5th place and thats something we should be proud of.
Yeah, but Norway put forward a really shite song and it won.
Why don’t we put forward an unemployed MP for next years contest.
At we can bet on them winning and get some money back off them!
Well I liked it.
But then again – I’m voting Monster Loony Party next time.
We won. The Norwegian song was in English.
Like we win the Champions league with foreign players.
Yep, but just before he went he splashed 18k of our money on bookcases because “I didn’t want cheap ones”…
If Dave has judged the mood of the country correctly then we are gonna see some sackings next week or at least a referral to local party for re/de selection.
Brenda is not amused that her Parliament has been discredited and this on NewLiars New Flipper/Flappers watch.
Could be what was good for our colonial cousins may just be the right thing here. She should dissolve it just before the summer recess after the wipeout of NewLiars at the Euro’s and Locals thus sending a clear message that a) Royalty has a place in UK society -Champions of the people as well as a tourist attraction b)that Parliament belongs to US for them to serve and we will be listened to and c) Dont fuck with the Establishment.
Dave could then unveil his manifesto without the NewLiars filtching the policies as theirs.
Time for the peoples protest and revolt to begin……..Led by Brenda!!!
Wishful thinking……
Yes this sounds excellent.
We’ll probably have the Americans drooling in envy and wishing they could have dissolved Bush. The Obamas would thoroughly approve, Michelle really took to Her Maj, so no problems there. Brown ought to note that what’s been going on is called ‘racketeering’ over the pond.
I am quite sure Mamm’s putting the ducks in the row.
I would so love Brenda to show why we have a monarchy. She has to tread carefully – can you imagine what the sacking of Parliament would do to Britain’s reputation around the world?
Can anyone think of something she could do to prove that socialism is shit?
I know. HMQ could have the Rolls and Her Sikorsky painted a purple sort of colour similar to the UKIP shade.
Thieving MPs getting confronted by their angry constituents:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1183464/Go-meet-voters-Not-today-thank-say-MPs.html
Guido, since you are an Irish citizen, this has got fuck all to do with you.
perhaps it takes a view from outside to see the wood from the trees, keep up the good work Guido
Please don’t tell which party to vote for. Labour have do a lot of good for this country over the years.
The less jobs\money you have to spend on things, the longer the remaining resources will last for the new comers.
what planet are you on, liebour have presided over the biggest unaffordable tax borrow and spend binge this country has ever seen hence the sorry mess we are in. The global boom/bust timing just made the self inflicted uk boom and bust even more extreme.
Thats your eyes view. There are millions of newcomers who are doing very well thanks to Labour kind generous policies. We have build a new life here, a kind of life we could never hope for in our home land. You have had it to good for to long. Now its our turns now.
mr amazed, it looks like he’s on planet,” fuck you,” to be honest.
think you missed your morning dose.
Oh do fuck off. You’re the sort that make the B N P look rational. So it’s great for this country that we should pay millions in benefits to scroungers from foreign countries? That we should be grateful when businesses are told they’re only allowed to use foreign labour?
The British and the governments have oppressed the world for hundreds of years. All over the globe people have died because of your establishments in history and the people turned a blind eyes. I’m glad its all crashing around you. I’m glad your so called wealth is being taken from you and given away to others. Maybe when its spred around all over you will see all humans are equal. Most of your country is now the property of people you have oppressed in the past. your roads, your power stations etc haha.
I think you’ll find that after leaving several colonies they’ve actually proven they were better off under the British.
How many Zimbabweans are now wishing they were still under colonial rule? And I’m not talking white farmers here, I’m talking about the people being left to starve as Mugabe has raped the country. Zimbabwe was once one of the richest countries in Africa. Now it’s the poorest.
“That we should be grateful when businesses are told they’re only allowed to use foreign labour”
That because we are not slow, lazy are and work hard, long hours in every day no drugs, no sex on the streets on saturday nights, no fights. We are great full to Mr Tony Blair, Mr Gordon Brown for helping to create a better life here with human rights. Mr Brown says on TV in houses of parliment that he wants to create jobs for ALL people. Mr Brown is a true, honest man like his Father. He work and pray his whole life to be a prime minister for the good people.
I went to Grenada.
There was a little old lady in a shop who clasped my hand as I went out and gave me a little sown bag… I went to pay for it, but she said it was so nice to see an English person again, that it was free. Told me how the island used to celebrate Governor’s Day and that life was immeasurably better as a British Colony compared to now.
You are talking bullshit.
We’ve (as a nation)
got an entire country hooked on opium so that we could run a cartel.
Used despotic tyrants when convenient as a means of controlling a “colony”.
Been responsible for mass killings (think india).
Run a globalised slave trade, amassing a vast proportion of our “wealth” out of it.
There have been worse empires, but the British certainly was really just a vast excuse for theft – the “justifications” i.e. installing “shahs, raj, who in turn ruled with an iron fist whilst we did what we wanted with resources.
Also given that we arbitrarily carved up africa in to “nations” built out of several tribes who had completely different languages, cultures, and no history of “joint governance” -we are indirectly responsible for a lot of the subsequent carnage in previous colonies.
Basically, as a nation, we excell in believing that we represent “good” whilst mindfully ignoring the millions of deaths and injusticies inflicted across a good proportion of the world during our brief period of power.
The fact is, I think the irony is not that anyone is “sponging” off us at all – I think most migrants work a fuck lot harder than most of the fat lazy natives (who need a good scapegoat as usual) – the irony is that we are utterly dependant (in nearly every industry and certainly the NHS, manufacturing, steel) etc on foreign developing countries – they are the growth areas, representing a scale of industrialisation that makes britain at any point past or present look like a newt by comparison.
I think it might be time to learn some humility – britain excels at many things – high technology, pharmaceuticals, latterly banking – all of the things we do well as a nation are the result of real innovators and intelligent people – very few are the result of the whinging misers who continually seek an external excuse for their own shortcomings, we have it fucking easy here, our real downfall is actually something most people would never admit, complacency.
Get over your empire boner.
Over The Top:
For once someone to actually talk some sense and actually put forward a coherent argument.
I do have to say I agree with you. And Britain’s Empire building didn’t just stop in the 1950’s and 60’s. Even in the 1970’s we weren’t above supporting “regime change” in order to get what we wanted. Look up the history of Indonesia and East Timor. The UK has indirectly (along with the USA) got almost a million deaths on our hands. Even worse, we even provided the warships to escort the condemned to their new island homes where they were murdered by the military junta that took over Indonesia.
Overnight we took one of the richest Pacific nations and turned it into a 3rd world economy, all because the Democratically elected (albeit Communist) party told the UK and USA to fuck off when we wanted to rape the country’s natural resources.
335 So Zimbabwe is your model economy, is it? They are using almost nothing, so there will be plenty left for new comers (whatever they are). Come to think of it, that does seem to be the direction we are going in under GB.
What is happening to the Baroness Uddin investigation? Is it now sub-judice I wonder – fat chance!
Cant be sub judice until someone is charged.
Keep an eye on the cow, her marble palace in Bangla and her 64000 quid BMW are all suspect….
In the general election vote for Cameron or run the risk of five more years of Brown.
It’s the only choice on offer.
Motivated by fear and greed. Listen to yourself pontificating yet again. POLITICIANS ARE SOCIOPATHS. End of story. Why do you think the go into politics? FOR POWER. Why is it that a police investigation into alleged paedophiles within the Labour cabinet was apparently stopped? You people need to wake up fast. You are dealing with more than crooks. These people are evil. They are Satanists. They despise you. They have NO conscience. They lie in the same way that you breathe.
well said
Your argument is just a tad overegged my friend.
ComradesIt is quite simple really. You take the Piggies one by oneYou put a placard around their neck saying “I am a Piggie”Each Piggie then has to CONFESS his crimes in the Town Hall of his constituency…He will then be stripped down to his Y FRONTS (or she to her little PANTIES)and exhibted for pubmic scorn in the old STOCKS (which we no longer thought necessary)Your friend Chairman Mao
pubic scorn?
Need to be stripped naked for that surely?
I was strongly hoping that the undergarments would be diaphanous.
I agree with not voting, although perhaps I should have clarified I agree with “spoiling my ballot paper” as indeed I have done over the past three elections.
The problem is you only get to meaningfully protest this particular way every 4/5 years and if only the “thinking” few spoil their ballot paper then it gets ignored.
It’s the threat of it happening that concentrates MP’s tiny minds, as they are afraid of their gravy train becoming derailed.
BNP also scares them witless hence the not too transparent smear campaign underway at the moment.
You will do as you see fit but please don’t vote for much of the same, better do nothing at all.
Aye, – wa’ hae’, – an’ wa’ ginnae sta’

So it's no good whining, bleating, and carrying on.
We've got the power!
We're gonna hang on to it!
And when this all dies down - as it will, - we can get on with completely fucking up the country, and havin' it all our own way.
'Cos we're afraid of NOTHING!
And nothing is our fault!]
Has anyone seen the expense claims put in by those MPs who were planning on standing down before all this blew up? I wonder if they are Kauvvmanning (toilet bowl by IKEA) by getting theri bookcases and other requiremetns in early? Any comment from Oaten MP Winchester??
Just listened to muppet Miliband – the smaller muppet – when asked about repaying his dodgy expenses, duck the question by deferring to Brown’s committee. Effectively, he’s just told us that he personally does not have the integrity to distinguish right from wrong and needs someone else to make that decision for him. But I guess we all knew that already.
Grrr, there’s never enough Paxo around when someone needs stuffing.
One benefit of being in the EU is that our citizens can freely move to occupy those houses in Spain and Eire that are empty due to the house building boom and bust. Perhaps our housing associations might be encouraged to take advantage of the situation, and taxpayer money could be saved by placing people in such properties rather than in e.g. expensive town houses in Kensington.
I am breaking ranks again…
Not normal times
I AM FILING A COMPLAINT AGAINST THE SPEAKER FOR PERVERSION OF THE COURSE OF JUSTICE FOR THE EXPENSES COVER UP..
MINIMUM 5 YEAR JAIL SENTENCE REQUESTED
Please send your criminal compliants to support mine to the Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police
Many thanks and Vote Dib Lempika (even though we trough quite a lot also !)
David Miliband refused to tell Jon Sopel Politics Show(despite repeated questioning)that he had absolute confidence in Speaker. “It’s important that the government shouldn’t tell MPs what to do or not do in regard to this matter. I have my peronal view and if and when the occasion arises I will express it !”
Goodbye – Mick – Thanks for everything ! Can you shut the door on the way out ? Thanks ! Safe trip back to Glasgow !
Guido for Mayor of London. Get rid of that Blue stealing twat.
Yeah, the kunt appropriated my fucking wine cellar.
Oh hallo my friends
I have been away
I was at the Gay Pride demo in Paris yesterday…
It was super fun…
We were all baying like Caligula’s Horse for more RIGHTS of course…,
I notices that the roof is falling in on my Mock Tudoir Labour Party which I built so carefully to be a modern and gay party…It turns out that it was a crook’s paradise…nothing to do with me of course
And even my mate Gould’s girl has been thrown out on her arse…shame that…will have to send the gay patrol down to sort that out…
and BTW
I AM NOT AN AGGRESSIVE HETEROPHOBE EVEN THOUGH MY FRIENDS IN PARIS YESTERDAY ACTED LIKE IT..anyone who says I am a heterophobe is a HOMOPHOBE..
SO there..
Your little Miss Mandy
PS You should have seen my drag outfit yesterday…so cute…
I intend to vote tactically on every occasion, for every tick. Even if I do not like the party, if it sends a message to the one I would have liked to vote for, then so be it. I cannot see any other way of telling parties, I like some of your policies but not keen on others.
That’s about as transparent as an MP’s expenses claim.
Well done Guido
Spot on again..
We are revolted like you
Nu Labour is a lost cause as you know…
But even Cameron has badly misjudged all of this…
It is not a PR EXERCISE we need..
But ROOT AND BRANCH REFORM…
Cameron still does not see that sadly..
Have a good picknick…
You deserve some R and R
Your devoted informer and spy..
Am I being thick here…… or isn’t voting UKIP in the Euro election pretty pointless. What are they going to do as MEPs to affect the UKs membership status?
Now, voting in 350 UKIP MPs at Westminster would cause havoc at the EU, but that’s never going to happen is it.
Let’s have a sytem whereby more than one candiddate per party can be put up. We vote for the party first and our preferred nominee of that party second.
Result….no person is guaranteed re-relection no matter how safely their party holds the seat, and a local population can vote on whether they think parachuted candidates are the way ahead.
That’s a really good idea actually.
Is it ‘cos I is Asian?
No it’s not.
It’s a fucking brilliant idea.
In case this hasn’t already been posted – MPs are in hiding
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1183464/Go-meet-voters-Not-today-thank-say-MPs.html
This is my local MP:
- David Ruffley, the shadow Home Office minister, “flipped” his second home from a London flat to his Bury St Edmunds constituency before spending thousands of pounds on furniture and fittings. He successfully claimed for a £1,674 sofa – but was refused the full amount when he claimed for a £2,175 46-inch Sony widescreen HD television from Harrods. An attempt to claim £6,765 for the purchase of several bedroom items was reduced by £4,748.
He managed to be absent or abstain on ALL OF THE VOTES in Parliament concerning Transparency for MP’s expenses.
He is also the one that complained about police moonlighting with more than one job while having three others himself.
(Solicitor by trade, troughing is their “holier than thou” speciality, says it all really).
Oink Oink!
Most solicitors are greedy crooks. Once on the MPs gravy train, they are like pigs in shit. That’s why so many lawyers go into Politics.
BTW Did you know that for head of population we have at least four times more lawyers than any other country in Europe?
No wonder the UK is such a spivs paradise.
If the 1997 protection against harassment act applied to lawyers, it would be the end of the ’stiff’ letter (ie threatening something that can’t happen) and the end of ‘fishing’ expeditions for rich, venal clients and the end of their fat car ‘profession’.
They would be reduced to notaries, which is all they’re good for.
As I said before any profession which depends on Sophistry is beneath contempt.
Lawyers are paid to argue that black is white if it meets their clients objectives. So they feel really at home in HoC.
BTW has anyone seen my client – he’s a little black and white chap – allegedly.
Just an idea but, has anyone checked out if all these MPs have TV licenses for all these TVs.
Next door constituency… thank god it’s not mine.
His excuse was “he didn’t vote against because he believed in privacy”. Well for himself, maybe.
Purge the bad eggs. Merge the guilty’s with that of a neighbour. Gets rid of the dirt and reduces the overall bill to the taxpayer. Simples.
When we get bored with the MPs can someone do the BBC.
Seems to me that they were very reluctant to report this and now their coverage is very limited.
Glasshouses?
There’s a revolution going on on their Gardening message boards atm. No-one likes the new Gardeners’ World and they’re closing threads left right and centre to stop people dissing it.
This is why I loath this government, they’ve infected every area of public life with their filth.
I’m not voting UKIP. The way they have troughed like pigs in the Euro Parliament makes them as bad as the worst of the crooks in this country.
Given one of today’s polls, putting Labour and UKIP neck and neck for third place, how prescient of the Labour Party to have called their blog “Go Fourth”…..
Of all the parties standing in the European elections, UKIP has the worst record on expenses of any party. Of course it’s on a much smaller scale because they’re smaller; and it’s European expenses rather than Westminster expenses. Vote UKIP if you want to, but not because they’re a protest against fingers in the till: their fingers have been as deep as any.
Hopefully they are just repatriating as much of our money as they can.
Pehaps we should consider the swedish model?
After holding talks with leaders of the various party groups in the Riksdag, the Speaker of the Riksdag nominates a Prime Minister. To form a government, the Prime Minister designate must then present a list of Cabinet Ministers and have it approved by Parliament. Parliament can cast a vote of no confidence against any single member of the government, thus forcing a resignation. If a vote of no confidence is cast against the Prime Minister (Sw. Statsminister), this means the entire government is rejected, and the procedure of finding a government starts afresh.
Two things to consider – the speaker is a well respected, impartial person (could be a problem finding one)
They operate proportional representation,so no party has ever got more tham 50% of the seats and they need to cooperate to govern.
The good news is that votes for the minor parties are not necessarily a waste of time,as they might hold the balance of power.
Also changes to the constitution must be approved twice by Parliament with a general election in between.
This would avoid many of the problems with the current system we use.
Yep I’m all for Sweedish Models.
I’m looking for husband no.5.
[...] Hat tip to Guido Excellent advice over at Guido Fawkes click here [...]
Guido – it is unfair to tar all ‘mainstream’ politicians with the same brush. Lots of mainstream politicians are honest and hard working. I am a Councillor – I am scrupulous about declaring my interests etc. I work hard. I also do loads of voluntary work (which also costs me in petrol, stamps etc). I look around the Council Chamber and see Councillors from all the mainstream parties who have given thousands of unpaid hours to their communities – (long) before and after being elected. Indeed many got into politics through their voluntary work. When I cease to be a Councillor I will continue my voluntary work as long as I am able.
It is also naive to imply that the non-mainstream politicians are ‘pure’. The UKIP MEPs have a less than distinguished record – one in jail, one under investigation and Robert Kilroy Silk – well say no more. Moreover although adept at hoovering up their allowances, their performance in Europe has been lamentable. The Justice party was founded by Paul Judge – who appears to have been less than honest with his wife and the tax man to say the least. Many of the BNP activists have criminal records (GBH, racial crimes, rape, fraud etc).
Did n’t Tony Blair promise a party and government free from corruption? Did n’t people believe Conservative = all bad; Labour = all good in 1997? Were not all Conservatives considered guilty then no matter how individually blameless? Much good it did the country having a rump opposition for 10 years.
Many Germans voted NAZI as a ‘protest’ against the corrupt mainstream parties.
Let us reform the system, AND PUNISH THE GUILTY. But stringing up the innocent is short sighted mob rule. If people feel strongly they should get involved in the local mainstream party – membership of the Conservative party for 3 months qualifies you to attend meetings to deselect candidates and select candidates more to your liking! Indeed I believe a major problem in politics now is the lack of mass involvement. In the 1950s membership of the Conservative Party was 3m, it is now 300,000. So cliques etc can easily form locally.

She alone could destroy Nu Labour for ever…
And she is capable of doing so out of spite…

They have a much tighter allowances system:
http://www.parliament.uk/commons/lib/research/briefings/snpc-05050.pdf
and only get 42K a year in salary.
And with Proportional Representation following the democratic election the undemocratic stich up process between parties begins behind closed doors.
The arguments about being in a political Europen Union are Shite.
Free movement..So have the Aussies, Yanks, Japanese etc.
Trade with Europe.. so do the Aussies, Yanks, Japanese etc.
Share police Intel..so do the Aussies, Yanks, Japanese etc.
Mass immigration..not so the Aussies, Yanks, Japanese etc.
Finance Brussels Gravy train..Not so the Aussies, Yanks, Japanese etc.
Well put
As is the Human rights act, the way these lawyer fuckers talk you’d think that Britain was openly operating Nazi death camps before this act came into Law. It has brought no real protection to the ordinary citizen that wasnt there before and just provides a gravy train for Cherie Blair and her sleazy chambers mates to make millions on ! Labours introduction of this act under Tony Blair was perhaps the biggest example of vested interests in our history, certainly since feudal times.
Where did you go Straf von Stauffenberg?
A nation turns its loser eyes to you.
yep
Simple answer would be for everyone to refuse to pay their taxes until we are happy the system has been reformed to OUR satisfaction
As EVERY party is involved in this scandal – I am blocking the whole mess out of my mind and I am going to vote for the party I was going to vote for all along – as the economy to my mind is far more important.
Hmm…..you are anonymous and you don’t mention the party you intend to vote for.
What’s your point?

Bravo, encore, more!!!
Great to listen and keep this window open.
At least we will all the get the chance to vote GB out as we never got one to vote him in!
At the same time we can get rid of the corrupt cons and libdums as well.
Can’t wait for the new MPs to shake things up.
Good idea
I don’t give a shit about UKIP’s policies but I shall be voting for them in the euro elections to see Brown humiliated into 3rd or 4th place. Chortle.
Vote for the Fahkin’ Kahnt Party.
You know it makes Fahkin’ sense.
Revenge & retribution on these thieves cannot come too soon.
12 months jankers, castrated (is that the right word?) in an open prison, like Aitken & Archer is too good for these low lifes.
Dress them in an orange jump suit, shackle their feet and transport them in a tumbril round the streets for pot hole filling duty.
To be honest, I’m up for a bit of pot hole filling.
Gordon Brown dies and goes to hell. Having screwed us all over, he is promised an eternity of horror so bad, that the person getting the treatment now will have to give up his place. The Devil takes him to a closed room where, on the floor lies Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
Over the demented Iranian is Imelda Marcos playing a tune(ahem)on his parts. Oh well, thinks Gordon. It’s not good but it could be a lot worse….”OK Devil” he says, “I am ready for eternity”.
“Okay” says the Devil “if you are sure….Imelda, you can go now”
Imelda Blair surely?
Just caught Anne Widow-Maker on Sky news, frantically pushing the story that the vast majority (hundreds, she said) of MP’s were, amazingly, not corrupt. There was a whiff of suppressed panic about her. She was pleading with us all to react rationally, vote on the issues and DON’T LET THE EXTREMISTS IN (ie anything outside the big 3). Sorry, Anne, your comfortable parliamentary club has been busted. You seem like a nice woman – albeit with an appalling dress sense – but you and your lot are pretty much discredited. And as for NuLiebour, they’re even worse.
How very dare you use the word ‘pretty’ and ‘Widdecombe’ in the same sentence?
I am truly sorry Mr Fuckweed, literacy does not appear to be my strong suit. However, I can assure you it will not happen again. I have drenched the keyboard with bleach (old CSI technique) and, on completing this abject apology will terminate the monitor with extreme prejudice (McMental technique, apprently). Doesn’t the ‘appalling’ count as a mitigating factor?
Dear Mr Fuckwit, on re-reading my initial posting I see that literacy may not be your strongest suit either. Nowhere do I include ‘Widdicombe’ and ‘pretty’ in the same sentence. Even if I had attempted this I feel confident that my Vista SP1 sanity checker would have prevented such obvious nonsense.
One of my favourite oxymorons is ‘Widdecombe Fair’.
Along with ‘mature student’ and ’standard deviation’.
Guido, MEPs of the small parties have been shown to be fiddling their expenses too.
Don’t forget that video of MEPs signing on for their daily allowance of c £1000 at 7 amish, then beggering off home.
The Green party MEP’s response to the camera team who caught her red handed: “What impudence!”
Greens are spawned in the same fettered pool as ZaNuLabour and all pseudo-socialists. The middle classes need a good kicking………
It is going to be great seeing the toffs loose power at last.
Will they all have to pay back all their “donations” for their votes and consultancy services when they all get fired next year?
What will company’s do now? They can’t bribe, I mean donate to every candidate or party!
They won’t be able to donate only to Red or Blue as neither has any chance of getting back into power.
It’s going to be interesting in the house.
What will they do now to ensure they get there lucrative contracts or runways built now?
Do you mean New Labour toffs or Tory toffs?
I think he’s got it, not Tory or Labour toffs, but both.
Should watch “The Distinguished Gentleman” with Eddie Murphy in it. It’s meant to be a comedy, but our MPs seem to have been using it as a guidebook on government.
The only thing that surprises me about this whole saga is that so many people are surprised by it. I thought that we had already established – via the banking excesses – that human beings are largely motivated by self-interest. The House of Commons is looking much like the population at large: a few principled idealists, a few total scoundrels and an overwhelming number of turkeys in between. So I would say: get real, people. Vote for the party you think most likely to undo the horrendous damage done to this country by the present government. Any other motivation is irrelevant and short-sighted. In my view. And I may be wrong. I usually am. Or so my grandchildren tell me.
You forgot the Monster Raving Loony Party and BNP/NF.
Whether we like it or not, the EXPERTISE in government still lies with the troughers.
We already know that UKIP, Libertas and the like feed mightily at the EU trough.
We are buggered if we do and buggered if we don’t.
It is obvious that the expenses are regarded as part of income. Until this is corrected, we will have a succession of “fiddlers” and Swinegate will continue.
Its all about smashing the System to pieces. Guido is a libertarian and our current control program has monopolies, that need to be broken up.
The Gangsters need to be destroyed, wherever they are found.
This battle is a never ending story.
There will always be a Guido.
It really is like V for vendetta, freedom is like a weed.
You are right
Guido is doing what I did 250 years ago…
And it gave me a worldwide reputation…

Councils, parliament , big banking, there is hardly an institution in the country that is devoid of corruption.
Punishing the main political parties is like an elastoplast on a chainsaw amputation.
I feel a Summer of Civil Disobedience coming on.
Please ensure you carry out a full Risk Assessment first.
Get rid of the Queen.
She is useless and hasn’t done anything to sort these crooks out.
How can she sit in that palace we’re all paying for and do FA about?
DO YOUR JOB
Fire these crooks and have them arrested.
Or is it that there all bloody free masons you can’t?
You must get your news from the Brown Broadcasting Corp, who have failed to notice the headlines in the Mail and Express. Maybe she’ll have to put the Audience on Youtube where it would get more hits than the King of Spain telling Chavez to shut it.
The Queen hasn’t any real power. In theory she can’t do much than tell Gordo she is displeased. I say in theory. If Philip was our head of state (or his late uncle) Gordon would have had his arse kicked.
Remember further that the Palace has suffered a lot under NuLabour. Remember when Princess Diana was killed. You could feel Labour stoking republicanism. I think they realised by destroying the power of the monarchy yet keeping it in place served them better.
You must remember that HMQ though healthy for age is an old lady.
It is a shame our defence chiefs haven’t got more about them.
In theory the Queen can prorogue Parliament anytime she chooses. In practice, she chooses to be much more subtle, realising that it is almost always sufficient to encourage, warn and advise, and leave matters to be sorted at the next election. It is unprecedented in her reign to allow a courtier to comment on her “candid exchange of views” with Brown on Tuesday. Be sure that if Brown does not understand the shot across his bows, Brenda will fix it, Jimmy.
Now who has that nice picture of a rocking horse?
Military coup?
Andy McNabb for PM.
Mind, if there was a military coup we’d probably end up with Mark Thatcher. He has some experience of those…
This is following on from the greedy pig thread yesterday.I understand that there are 19 SUBSIDISED BARS AND RESTAURANTS at the HOC.A Mr Allan Williams requested FOI last July about how much said premises were subsidised by us and how much the greedy pigs had to pay for meals.Given that they claim £100 per week for food and remembering that they don’t spent their whole week at Westminster why do they need £100?I imagine that if the true cost of feeding the troughers, plus salaries for catering staff etc was published we would all be rather more upset than we are now.
I think I worked out the subsidy was worth £64 per MP per sitting day. Truffles at the Savoy, anyone?
For once Timmy over on CONhome has called it wrong-just how wrong he and the CONS will find out on June 4th.Tebbit has called it correctly.
How do I stand for Monster raving loony party? Anyone know?
We have to put up some candidates to bring the current corrupt system down.
When we get in we’ll actually do FA like everybody else!
Fuck All would make a pleasant change.
Voting UKIP to combat expence scandals is liking screwing for virginity. Ashley Mote or Tom Wise anyone?
comments system all fucked up ???!!!???
yeah, i don’t like all these un-numbered comments, it’s fucking weird.
the whole expenses saga is like the scene in Blue Velvet where the camera zooms into the grass and you see all the insects swarming in darkness below the surface…
Actually Mr Lynch, I think it reminds me more of this…….
Totally agree – at least for the Euro elections.
But for the GE, this simply will not work. The priority there is to erase from existence this shit-awful, thieving government-by-clan.
Splitting the vote will only serve to give them totally undeserved succour. (I hope Guido doesn’t secretly and perversely want that).
I for one will not risk another five years of Labour just for the sake of – who are they, Libertarse? No way.
http://denverthen.blogspot.com/2009/05/rage-of-parliament-picts.html
I’m voting the Jury Team – As to who runs it I don’t give a shite. – why because there’ll be no party whip which of course means their MEP’s can vote according to THEIR conscience & not as they are told to do – it’s also agreed that they will take the absolute minimum needed to do their job
U KIP if you want to but the Jury Team is wide awake and ready to represent the British people.
Jury Team all the way!
So are we to vote for socialists posing as greens or for UKIP, whose MEPs last time were shown to be fraudulent over their expenses claims there? None of the minor parties appear less contaminated thabn the three mainstream parties.

the Lying thIeving BarstEward Rogues haTe You.
Or the Libertian Party, if they’re still around anymore?
The age of the political party on both sides of the Atlantic seems to be on the way out. It may take another generation, but clearly those parties already suffering from small memberships and such great distrust are not going to get up from this without major changes.
The predictions for the next election suddenly do not look very accurate, if the parties around now do not exist in the current form by 2010.
You can’t trust anybody these days.

Did you enjoy your swim?

Moring all..
I am Farmer Giles, a Pig Farmer near Devizes where I rent a few acres..I have a story to tell (without names of course)
I have two jobs :
1) My wife and I (along with the Vicar and his wife) are the minders/gofers for his Lord and Ladyships who are my landlords. Lovely people really…They have a huge Castle in their/our village. On Saturdays we are called in just before the deliveries from
a) HARRODS – FOIE GRAS (he likes it “mi-cuit” (half cooked for you peasants) as the “Boss” says….. like his women)… CHATEAU MARGO (cases of the stuff) and TRUFFLES (from Italy – much rarer but better than the French stuff)
b) ASPREYS – we always get a delivery of CHANDELIERS for Saturday nights..along with some little goodies for the womenfolk…
c) the RASTA MAN – he delivers a tonne of CANNABIS and tells me he has plantations of the stuff in St Kitts and Nevis…only the best….and RASTA MAN serves another purpose for the womenfolk -once in the sack never back as the Boss says…I hear the screams of pleasure so I should know…
Then we clear the decks for our Saturday evening SPORT -as the Boss says)
Last night after a couple of hours of laughs they starting swinging from the CHANDELIERS- they think they are ZORRO -the womenfolk get a diamond broach if they catch someone else’s husband falling off the chandelier…so they are “very attentive”… the Boss says they should always be like that…and BAREFOOT……
Bloody mess this morning…groaning heaving bodies all over the shop…and the cannabis smoke is so bad even my piggies are dansing…
Kaaaariiiiist
2) SECOND JOB = PIG FARMER
I make tons of money with my lovely pigs…But I am WORRIED
Someone tells me there is a pig farm in Lodnon which breeds (GE or something – not General Election Genetic Engineering) male pigs without cojones (if you see what I mean) and sows with cojones (if you see what I mean)
Is there no future for my piggies ? Will they all be cross dressers and infertile…and dansing in their cannabis fumes…
I want the POSTERIORTY of my piggies guaranteed…
Must go and lie down now…I am still HIGH
Cheers you lovely people and keep up the good work
THAT WAS THE WEEK THAT WAS
(plus redacted)
bip bip
The BBC has done a great job. All the money they get and yet not one story from them about corruption here or in Bruxelles. What are they investigating, we can all read newspapers what is the BBC for ? I can cut and paste other peoples stories can I join the NUJ ?
Hey boys
Keep their expenses for Gods sake…
Otherwise my plantations will fall into ruin…
They are in Nevis like Guido’s blog…
Guido, in your crusading zeal against the mainstream parties, you forget the fundamental law PEOPLE = STUPID. I believe that the electorate, like a dog, will eventually return to its vomit. They will soon, perhaps even as early as June 4th, be voting for the same old politicians again. But even your recommendation to vote for UKIP, the Greens, or Libertas savours of mainstream politics. Don’t vote for parties such as the BNP or the Socialist Workers, who really make mainstream politicians shudder with horror, no, vote for ‘nice’ non-mainstream parties, such as UKIP, who if they ever attained political power would receive a friendly call from Brussels to come and talk about ‘reform’ of the EU, as a preliminary to being taken for a ride.
@Anonymous. For the first time since I started reading these comments your comments are mis-placed.
You making it very plain I doubt you have ever had to solve a single problem in your life. You continue to state that the system needs changing, (something we already know) yet never say what system you would put in it’s place.
At least Guido gives a route forward, you may not agree with it, but it’s a dam more literal and real than anything you have submitted.
There has only ever been one language politicians understand and that’s votes. That’s why Blears repaid the money, votes to her are more important than money. Those who keep the money, are those who know their game is up. It’s just that Blears is so fucking stupid she hasn’t worked out her numbers up.
Guido is right, but perhaps should not have advised the particular parties, when the reality is any other party other than the usual three will do.
Great article Guido, love it!
Now Lord Ahmed’s MP calls for the Speaker to go:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2009/may/17/michaelmartin-mps-expenses
A nice piece Guido , politics and parliment has become un productive , unworthy and self serving , and you have done a good job in starting and running this blogg, it all lookes ugly at the moment but that is because the very people who lord it eveyone else , have degenerated into venal zombies and not reflect what people want. The Lisbon treaty was a farce , it is the constitutuion by another name , but did labour think OH we had better see what people think about the treaty before we get it ratified , no .
So we were treated to David Milliband , as he tried to throw everthing but the kitchen sink into his interview , i was reminded how little he believes in anything , is he full on EU or not , does he regret not giving people a proper vote .I tease alittle as he was the one at the dispatch box doing all the conveluted PR ramming. Now hes erm scared suddenly polit breau politicks is as much use as lighted match detecing a gas leak . labour have consistantly denied that goverment is democratic organ and not a dark arts communist set up.
Milliband says we need constitutional change , but never explains why , its though we are to vote on the mans ego yet wants us to think he is a saint .
he gives no case for EU subsidarity , except that it is what he and only he thinks is needed .
Aster 12 years of this sort of treatment of the public and the now all to obvious trickery by labour , politcians find they tour the streets and angry people asking them “what on earth have you been doing all these years” .
They worry now that the whole notion of the civilised society and democracy may be under threat , as if that sheep like bleat, solves the problem .
people think if you cant do it right , why not start getting rid of you , the begginings of which we can see . We are broke as a country with many years ahead to put it right , we dont need excuses , why should they even be mumbling about a unity government when the results are so plain to see that labour dont care what you think or want .
But as was pointed out in QT , it isnt so much the system , its the way it has been corrupted , and the remedy for this corruption is the shift to the right, i dont see how a shift to the left has any answer anymore .
labour have made a strategic error in not calling a general election , as they have hot housed the corruption , there vote is getting fed to the smaller parties . The troubles for michael martin are a reflection that sitting on hands is no longer acceptable , it is an unprecidented step to call for the speaker to stand down , but he is patronage speaker gifted the job in more gracious economic times , he doesnt want his reputation smeared by having to admitt that he let all these claims through , oh no sweep it under the carpet , polish the chair , brush down the garments , nothing wrong here !.
The problem with scoialism is that it always was a one trick pony , it has told the likes of me for as long as i can remember , “what we need is somthing new ” harking back to the themes of revolution . we never did need anything much new , just somthing that served us , was honest , debated and desemminated the problems , and dint run a national ponzi sheme to set the scene for a communist state run by the EU without consultation.
The cure isnt pleasant , but the waffle is at an end , David Cameron took a brave stand on flipping , he is respectful to democracy , its a promising start , but we are in a rotten mess , anymore politicians not wanting to don the gloves and graps the broom and shovell to clean up there own excretia are finished , anyone promising sunny days for ever and ever and no more boom and bust are liars , dont vote for them .
I can’t help but feel that your remedy doesn’t really fit the malaise Guido, for a number of reasons:
1. Though I do not deny that some MEPs have also been guilty of abusing the expenses system, your suggested punishment of mainstream politicians (it is the MPs who are surely the principle offenders to be punished) doesn’t present itself as hugely effective given that it will be MEPs and Councillors we’ll be voting in come 4 June.
2. Even if this were not so, what makes you believe that UKIP/Libertas/Green politicians are any more honourable than politicians from mainstream parties? Just because far fewer of them have been in a position to abuse the expenses system, it does not automatically follow that they would not abuse it were they in a position to do so.
3. It is surely rather short-sighted to vote for a party, with whose policies you may not agree, as a means by which to “punish mainstream politicians” for the way they have abused the expenses system. The politicians you vote for are then in power for the next 4-5 years, implementing (or trying to) policies with which you disagree for the duration. This is just to punish yourself in the long-run… Surely.
You forgot to mention McNulty. These guys are in Cabinet. Smith, Blears, McNulty, Hoon, Darling, Purnell – leading porkers all of them! Call a General Election now!
Dear Beckett
as a uk taxpayer can you please let me know if I am an unbenown part-owner of your caravan.
thinking of having it for the first two weeks in August.
reply soonest. need to put this in the diary.
So, the answer to corrupt parties is, er, vote for other parties? Can’t you see that it’s the party system with it’s greasy pole of promotion that inevitably leads to corrupt politicians? As for UKIP, how many is that they’ve had up before the beaks now?
Vote Green? Why? Every party ran to adopt green policies and now all the Greens have left are the extreme ones.
Think for yourself for once. Vote for an Independent. I notice there’s been damn all Independents getting fingered by the Telegraph. There’s a reason for that.
Yes – there aren’t any
Guido for Prime Minister!
Come on, Guido, put on your V for Vendetta get up and start a revolution :)

DO SINE IN
Lack of Balls here………………James Purnell, Hazel Blears, Jacqui Smith and Geoff Hoon.
MP’s casting around for somebody to blame hoping a few sacrificial heads will restore the Status Qu, its america, its the speaker, its bad advice, its Tories/NuLab/LibDems, its teletubbies its ANYBODY BUT ME!!
Utter scum, even those that took nothing but said nothing.
All dysfunctional every one.
Nobody has said it, MP’s through their seedy actions have compromised the Monarcy who are not so lily white themselves.
The days of wine and roses are over, it really will NEVER BE THE SAME.
I shall vote UKIP in the European Elections, but Conservative in the local elections and in the General Election when it comes. It is no good voting for the minor parties in those elections, since we need a governing party with developed policies. But Cameron needs to be encouraged to go ahead with the blood letting in his own Party to weed out the worst troughers and get them deselected as candidates before the General Election is called.
I have been extremely impressed by Cameron thus far in this expenses scandal – he has shown true leadership.
but he does need to do more.
Oh to be listening in to Broon & Sarah’s conversations, no doubt she will be twittering to Paris Hilton
They keep warning us of a B N P ‘threat’ but don’t tell us what it is – just
‘don’t vote for the B N P.’
Will the B N P send our troops to fight in illegal wars?
Will the B N P bring the country’s economy to the brink of collapse?
Will the B N P trash our education system?
Will the B N P surrender our sovereignty to unelected foreigners in a foreign
land?
Will the B N P turn our streets into a surveillance society?
Will the B N P make false claims on their expenses?
Will the B N P trash the NHS?
Will the B N P pass legislation which legally allows discrimination against
White, Christian, heterosexual males in the workplace in their own country?
Come on – give the buffet a swerve just for today and tell us what
the threat is.
The way I see it, the threat is to the troughers and their scams.
The BN P are bastards, Fascists thru and thru.
They’ll make the 3rd Reich look like an old ladys teaparty.
No thanks. I’ve seen enough Blackshirts from Nulabour.
Brown is a National Socialist if ever I saw one. Operation Valkyrie now!
And your proof is…………………………….
Guido, your numbering system is fucked up, plus I want my gravatar back.
Sort it squire.
Get a grip Guido, you are in danger of vanishing up your own bumhole with this plastic anarchy. The parties you suggest are a bunch of fringe loonies, however many seats they get in the useless Euro elections. Cameron has done a good job of sticking it up McBust over this, he gets my vote.
You don’t need to vote for the Silly Party. Just don’t vote for any party whose local MP has been caught troughing. Conversely, vote for the party whose local MP has been conspicuously honest. Tell canvassers that you think it’s really, really important. Does anyone know an easy way to check if your local MP has had his/her hand in the till? Theyworkforyou.com doesn’t seem to do this.
Don’t mock the Silly Party.
The late and great Jez, lead singer of Harry Helmet and the Large Portions, stood as a parliamentary candidate in Dover for The Silly Party with one manifesto item – to get more votes than the BNP candidate.
And he did.
Spot on Guido. My wife tells me that she will vote UKIP but I am afraid that I will vote BNP. You have no doubt heard about greed and fear being what moves the markets. As far as the House of Whores is concerned we have had the greed. Now for the fear. They must be shit-scared and I propose to add just a tiny amount to that even if it means voting for the lunatic scum known as the BNP.
The electrate must have some politicians who they can trust.
In the long run it is no use not voting or giving a protest vote to the BNP or Greens or UKIP if you don’t agee with their long term aims.
We have only the main steam parties who can get Britain out of the mess we are in.
Gordon Brown and Labour has created an atmosphere in British politics where every politician is a crook. I don’t believe this to be true, there are some good MPs in all three main parties who do good work for their constituents. The criticism of these is that not one of the Labour backbenchers have had the guts to speak out until recently.
In my mind Labour has created the economic mess and can not be trusted.
Lib/Dems want us to be more intigrated with Europe.
The Conservatives, in my working life have been the only party to pull Britain through bad times which were created by previous Labour government’s policies.
A line has to be drawn under this sorry expenses fiasco and a start made by all MP’s to owst Gordon Brown and his mate the Speaker and get Britain moving again.
Anyone seen
PREZZA IN PUBLIC
OR GORBALS
OR BROWN
OR MANDELSON
THIS WEEKEND ??
BRITAIN IS IN THE MIDDLE OF ITS WORST CONSTITUTIONAL CRSIS FOR CENTURIES
WHERE ARE YOU ?
Come out of your holes YOU RATS………
Good points – it seems we are seeing a collective nervous breakdown in the Labour Party. Long may it continue!
Thats not good M15, loosing track of the countrys leading terrorists, please try harder theres a good chap.
Perhaps they share Brown’s well known “Courage”?
The Penguin.
Are they really too afraid of showing themselves now ?
I thought they loved photo ops and press attention
Or are they being quletly lynched by their constituents ??
quite right, their skulking in the reichstag bunker.one can only dream and imagine them being cremated in the garden after topping themselves when they realise the game is up.
ps: if martin announces he’s retiring after the GE tomorrow that means he’ll be
off to the Lords with trough intact which means nothing will have changed. The pressure needs to be kept up to clean the pig sty.
We are no longer in a real democracy when we cannot
CRITICISE GAYS without being HOMOPHOBIC
JEWS without being ANTI SEMITIC
WOMEN without being MYSOGENIST
MUSLIMS without being RACIST
ETC
But “they” cannot attack any white straight caucasian Christaon (or non-Christian) male or female in the most vile way and think it is normal and acceptable…
The DISCRIMINATORY HYPOCRISY of all this iis OBSCENE
Look at some of libors leading donors and it’s obvious why.
Seems like a nice boy?
PS: Anyone seen Mandy?
I’m hiding in Gordon’s bunker.
Why did you leave BLACKS off your list? Are you racist by any chance?
What we need is a proper Fascist dictatorship – at least the trains will run on time.
They have good marching songs too!
Vote for the National Socialist Movement
jawohl
I will have a pint of my finest piss to throw over any labour candidate who has the nerve to knock on my door .Then when he has wiped his eyes my forehead will impacted his snout so hard he won’t be able to sniff for a long time.
Dissolve Parliament.
In acid.
Good evening
I’m back with a short report for you
1) Had a meeting with the Chief od the General Staff..We agreed that if there is any popular violence we will not intervene to protect this “Government”.. The current “Governmenté and Speaker are acting ourside of the Constitution. Frad theft and pervesions of the course of justice on a massive scale..
2) I’m meeting the CPS tomorrow..I will tell trhe CPS that WE MUST PROSECUTE AT LEAST OF THESE CRIMES. Mayor BORIS agrees of course.
3) The militaryn and the Association of Chief Constables have sent a message to HM the Queen stating we will remain loyal to her whatever happens..
4) I am worried that the 3 main political parties are not “cleaning up their acts” as they should.
Dangerous waters ahead citizens
Your honourable Commissioner
The political party with no name.
I’ll play it like the liar Blair ” if you knew what I know”.
If you want to live in a society where you can stand next to the biggest cheating murdering liar, legally drinking and then watch as a young 7 year old black girl gets picked up by the scruff of her neck and the seat of her pants, and thrown out, and I mean head first, of a shop for being black, then carrying on moaning at Guido.
I’ll play it like swinster. You don’t know what your fucking talking about. I do. I was raised in it.
Keep em off Guido and good on you
I may be a complete scumbag locked up in a secure unit, but thanks to that nice Mr Clegg and Gordon McMental I will soon have the vote.
Im more LibDem than Labour, they both have good policies on the issues of sodomy and other perversions, however, I am an orange booker to my core.
So THUMBS UP Nick
The Lib Dems get my vote .
I have a new tune coming out next month, its called
Little Bummer Boy and I have dedicated it To Lord (ahahahh) Fondlebum
“Libertas centralist” in Mussolini’s Italy perhaps!
O/T but I do love it when Lefties reveal their true colours. I have often suspected that the hard left have more in common with National Socialism – Nazis – than the rosey, caring-sharing, looking-after-the-workers brigade that they like portray themselves as.
For an example of canting hypocrisy, and sheer nasty bile spewing bollocks, the example highlighted by Minette Marrin is hard to beat: Yet another public school educated leftie waging class war on..yes you guessed it…privately educated kids. Read it and pray for the day this nasty lot are wiped off the face of the electoral map.

That Zoe Williams is toxic. She is a vicious, sarcastic, spiteful witch who deserves nothing less than she advocates for others. See how she would cope being on the receiving end of the vitriol that she spews with nauseating regularly.

Update on Balls / Cooper from Iain Dale.
http://iaindale.blogspot.com/2009/05/did-telegraph-go-soft-on-ed-balls.html – read the end for statement from Balls to Yorkshire Evening Post
Good thinking Guido
I’m voting UKIP for the Euro elections
Tory for the local elections (the local guys are clean in my country)
And God knows what for the General Election…
It’s going to be very difficult if Cameron does not take any serious action…rather then PR window-dressing…
Once the Cameroons get a sniff of UKIPs coming success they will s**t themselves.
And may, (just may) get some kind of act together, especially with theiving MPs.
In May 2007 Tony McNulty: Voted strongly against a transparent Parliament.
(Just one of 98 MPs who voted against the FOI being applied to them)
It’s very odd why he should do such a thing. I wonder why?
I suspect it’s ‘cos he’s a thieving kunt.

“Call me Bob”
Hey Gudio
I think your server is all f’cked up..
My blogs appear where they shouldn’…
Are you high again ?
Just call me Bob
I think Guido’s more or less right. I suggested on CiF a couple of months back voting for the Party that must now be Named – as a protest against the whole fucking shower, secure in the knowledge that the EP is a pointless talking shop so they could do no harm there. Got a lot of grief for my suggestion…
Voting UKIP, Green, Trot won’t have *quite* the same impact, across the mainstream. If the B N P got six seats, eight seats even, the mainstream would shit. It might provide the change event for something like PR to come around, for Westminster. You see, that isnt’ going to happen until we get a sizeable wodge in each party prepared to put the greater good above party advantage AND a media push for PR too. Simply voting UKIP etc won’t start that wave. At least, I dont’ think it will. We shall see. But 15 or 20% voting B N P would. FPTP will lose its glister, if it looks like Griffin will gain advantage from it.
I know that sounds counter-intuitive; vote for neo fascists to stop our mainstream slide to fascism – but they need to be fuckign SCARED. The halfway decent people int he Big Three parties need to be *desperate*. They need to understand that they either give us the change we want, or the whole temple is going to come crashing down.
BTW that jury team thing – a crock of shit IMO. I was going to stand, but read what I had to sign up to – independent my arse. You need to support the whole diversity crock, including promising not to “discriminate on t grounds of belief”. Belief? Why the fuck not|? I absolutely would never sign up to a nasty little clause like that.
Hello Porkie Pies

Your Aunty “call me salt of the earth” Mabel
if you won’t vote for any party (& why should you ? ) then turn up & spoil your ballot paper.
There is a myth that this is the same as staying at home – IT IS NOT
it IS a vote for ‘none of the above’ – the spoilt ballots are counted & reported. a large percentage of spoilt ballots removes ANY claim of the winning party having a mandate; consider if the ‘winner’ polled 20% of the vote with 21% SPOILT ballots. The election is effectively null & void
& just think what would happen on a national basis if everyone who used to stay at home turned up & spoilt their ballots.
Don’t you dare stay at home; either vote for some one OR spoli your ballot.
(Guido; you surprise me by failing to work this one out; far better spoil a ballot than vote for someone you don’t want)
I’m going to be exercising the only real option for civil disobedience that I have available to me on June 4th.
I intend to vote BNP.
For a multitude of reasons, not the least of which being that I loathe the way that the ‘establishment’ are all now lining up together and saying,
‘OK, we know that you all now hate us thieving, lying, greedy bastards so we’ve drawn up a list of “acceptable” alternatives for you to choose from in order to register your protest.
No chance. I defy you. I vote BNP
I,d vote for satan before labour.
BBC reporting that Speaker to make statement to Parliament tomorrow
Here is David Maclean MP, a thieving bastard who fought tooth and nail to exempt MPs from the freedom of information act so we would never find out how much they were stealing from us:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/mps-expenses/5336359/David-Maclean-expense-claims-of-MP-who-led-fight-to-keep-payouts-secret.html
> Punish Mainstream Politicians, Don’t Vote for Mainstream Parties
No, Guido.
Punish Mainstream Politicians, Don’t Vote for Any of Them. Period.
Voting for these lizards, any of them, is just a way of legitimizing them.
Imagine if nobody voted in any election. What legitimacy would any of these mafiosoid creeps then have for taxing and regulating the rest of us into propping up the lifestyles of themselves and their friends?
Absolutely none. They would wither and die. And good riddance.
The civil service bureaucracy uses political parties and democratic voting as a fig-leaf for making its tax serfs (i.e. the rest of us) feel like we have some kind of control over our masters.
We must be fools for believing this. There is just one political party. Sometimes its leaders wear red jumpers, sometimes its leaders wear blue jumpers, and conceivably in the future they might wear a mixture of gold or green jumpers. But it makes no real difference which member of the Mafia family we elect. As long as we participate in these Mafia elections, it’s always someone from the Mafia who gets in, and by voting for them, we agree to their rapine and pillage. Why do you think the Soviets and people like Saddam Hussein were so keen to get voters to turn out for them in their sham elections?
And what makes you think that our elections are any less sham?
All politicians are thieves. They are also all immoral, believing that other people can be robbed to the benefit of other people, with the politicians taking a healthy cut of the action. And none of these rats deserve our support. We would all be better off without any of these parasites feeding upon our lives, even the Prince of Light, Daniel Hannan.
Democracy is a God that has failed. The sooner we are rid of it, the better.
But then, as an anarchist, you would expect me to say that! :-)
like I’ve been saying in my blog recently the public is utterly disgusted by the abuses and we want those people who are guilty to be punished and imprisoned. This regardless of who they are or what party they are from.
this anger should not mean that we don’t vote as many people in the street are saying. If we don’t vote the corrupt win. We all need to vote. Vote for the honest politician, if you can find one, or vote for the minority group that either believes what you believe in, or is not tally beyond the pale, this being a personal decision.
however, I would hope that no one votes BNP as they are scum. Obviously they are a legal party but there are a lot of other options out there. My fear is that the BNP have been talked up so much by labour as a way to frighten people into voting labour that people are going to vote BNP to punish them.
regardless we should vote minority to fire a shot across the brows of the corrupt political elite.
We need to list these MPs and their thieving in order of seriousness:
1. Those MPs who blatantly criminally defrauded the taxpayer by claiming for mortgages that had been paid already eg Chaytor and Morley
2. Those MPs who flipped property and claimed expenses to spend on renovating property and then selling it at a profit eg Hoon, Darling, Blears
3. Those who flipped propert in order to maximise their expense claims eg too many to mention
4. Those who claimed for ridiculously expensive and luxury items eg Kaufman and many others
Any other ideas?
Does anyone know if the Telegraph is going to publish the Speaker’s expenses?
Victor Wet Blankety Blank resigning from Lloyds.
What a banker.
Prime Mentalist will be sending him a white feather for his cowardice in the face of Guido’s goon’s hooiganism.
What next Mucky Mick heading back to Gorbals.
It’s time to remind Britain what’s good for it.
Will the police have to report to corrupt MPs before they make their findings public?
Will those findings be doctored first before we know them?
This has happened before!
Will the police have to report to corrupt MPs before they make their findings public?
Will those findings be doctored first before we know them?
This has happened before!
Is there a prison in the GORBALS ?
Or is the GORBALS a Prison ?
I’m an Englishman……
Gorbals was an area of Glasgow that consisted of tenement slums. There was great poverty and deprivation.
Martin is incensed that he has been named ‘Gorbals Mick’ because he came from Steventon, another area in Glasgow that was even worse than teh Gorbals.
However as the name was more well known it stuck.
The prison is Barlinnie.
Most white collar criminals such as these Hoons may end up in Ford Open.
Thank you Sir
Valuable information..
BTW
Gorbals Mick must have been troughing for years up in Scotland befoire he pillaged the Westminster Parliament…
Any details on that ?
Oh yes!
But-you WONT get any details from “Scottish papers” oh no! (They dont “DO” troughers like liebour!!) (Shit scared of the glasgow mafia)
Is Glasgow like Palermo now ?
Really ?
Thugs, killers etc ?
Just to know…
Wasn’t Galsgow the culture capital of the EU some time ago!
Nope, but Glasgow was.
Voting for “Anyone else but this lot..” is very tempting, but it does pass the baton to who knows who ??
Apparently “None of the above” is a specifically banned name under electoral law and as such cannot appear on a ballot paper.
But If you have a look on the electoral commissions website you will see that NOTA has been registered as a party.
If you like the idea follow the website http://www.nota.org.uk
I see ConservativeHome thinks Guido’s stance is wrong. It is also deleting many comments straying too far from the Tory line. I posted an argument, reasonable in tone, criticizing the three main parties. And it got deleted.
If they carry on like that, people will desert ConservativeHome the way they deserted the Telegraph.

Brown’s premiership is turning out just as disastrously as I predicted in my book “Boom and Bust” written before he became PM. Contact me on nigel_bowker_917@hotmail.com for a free electronic copy.
The accidental shreddingof the Blair file takes him off the radar for now but what about the dodgy donations which the Party treasurer knew nothing about at the time the cash was received? Did the Party accept the responsibility for repaying the loan elements of the donations without auditing the cash used for the general election? Any audit details might provide a clue concerning the remarkable confidence shown by Blair shortly after that time when he bought the house in Connaught Square
How did Ruffley manage to spend £219 on a duvet – would this be an orgy-sized duvet stuffed with the softest down plucked by the light of a Beltane moon by virgins from the breasts of sacred eider duck?
Who are the most serious sleaze merchants so far?
I reckon: Chaytor and Morley for criminal claims for mortgages that didn’t exist, followed by Hoon, Darling, and Blears for using taxpayers money to renovate and furnish houses which they then sold at a massive profit to build up property portfolios.
Any more Car Crashes today boys ?
And where are the leaders of this Country ?

Mr Slicker says MPs have their very own tax office, Public Department 1 in Cardiff, which deals with sensitive tax files. The word among accountants is that the inspectors there know better than to raise too many questions.
What on earth could they mean by that?
This whole thing is very upsetting, I’m going for a lie down.

What I’m struggling with here is, is that the DT a month ago was been lambasted as a labour mouth piece and in Number 10’s pocket. Does a leopard change it spots in less than a month I don’t think so.
All this expenses stuff was coming out in July anyway, and I just get the feeling that Brown will be sitting in his bunker saying, well no fuckers going to vote for me, why should they vote for anyone else. Releases the expenses story early, destroy all MP’s credibility, and no one will vote for anyone and the Labour whitewash isn’t a bad as first predicted.
Hopefully this isn’t the case and Labour do come forth behind UKIP.
Just one question where are they going to find an MP who hasn’t abused the system to replace the speaker who has?
In the constituency in which I live, there seems to be a real risk of the BNP making significant gains from protest voting in the immediate future. Is there time to put an independent MEP candidate up – with a view to giving people more choice for their protest X, and certainly not expecting to win – and, if so, what should the independent call his/her party? I am no good at coming up with catchy names. What’s the deposit nowadays?
The Leach-Free party?
The Anyone But Them party?
I do have one, ahem, policy … everyone over the age of 10 must learn to make or grow and sell stuff ‘cos it is not “service industries” that will get us out of the current severe economic mess.
So essentially the message is ‘vote for one of the most corrupt parties in the UK or a party with no clear central structure or policy’ as opposed to any other party?
Are you being paid by UKIP or slung a few backhanders by the revolting Kilroy-Silk? What makes you think that ANY politician has morality and can you actively demonstrate that?
Don’t vote at all, it only encourages the bastards and the trouble with voting is that the corrupt wankers always get in, regardless of the party or viewpoint that they claim to represent.
Nicely put, Mr Cattleprod.
The Queen wades in (http://tiny.cc/NGDvP) with a rather cheeky attack on MPs. How dare she lecture MPs (elected) when the Royal Family (not) is equally troughing and has been for years?
I am daily surprised that nobody higher up is speaking out against the public picking up the bill for personal bodyguards of minor Royals on gap years / helicopter trips to girlfriends / pissed up antics in expensive night clubs.
“It’s political correctness gone mad”.
Is Gorbals still a good sheet metal worker? Sure he still has union mates who will employ him.
No matter, his son is taking over his seat?….! ..?
There is an element of panic by the public. Keep some kind of prospective regarding your MP, be fair and check your own MP out, see if they have been reasonable with their expenses. I for one would not give a precious vote to a party like UKIP or the BNP as they are too radical. Remember the lady who threw herself in front of the King”s horse at the Derby to secure her vote. It is your democratic right to vote for the person who will represent you in Parliament. If you abstain, don’t complain! There are six hundred odd MP’s how many have milked the system, do your sums folks!
Ha ha ha….I embezzled loadsa your money and scarpered….and where’s the evidence? Shredded that’s where..ha ha ha haha………they’re gonna make me the European President next up and I’m gonna help myself again…..this time on an industrial scale…,.Hahahahah……ha ha.

Do you people have anything better to do than moan ?
What a bunch of tossers you all are.
Go out on the streets and canvass……
Ever thought of that, or is it too much for you all to stomach ?

Correct in principle, but the misanthropic Greens are even less deserving of votes than the main troughers.

INDEPENDENT ENQUIRY
One of the current buzz-words much in favour with our beloved and honourable members is ‘independent”. They scatter this word through their conversation and statements like it was a great new discovery, a panacea for the political ills with which we are cursed. In reality, there are already many ‘independen’t bodies in existence to lubricate political process. I offer a couple of examples, though you could, no doubt, come up with many more.
There is the Electoral Commission which effectively arrived at the peculiarly Scottish verdict of ‘not proven’ after deliberation of Wendy Alexander’s ‘unintentional’ financial misdemeanours despite public admissions by various officials involved. Just one more strange conclusion in a long, long list emanating from this ‘independent’ body.
The parliamentary standards commissioner, John Lyon, is another of these ‘independent’ bodies . Perhaps best-known among his many perplexing decisions is that concerning the Speaker’s wife, where he determined it to be right and proper that the taxpayer should fund her supermarket shopping trips.
I draw attention to this because we currently have the Committee on Standards in Public Life appointed to review the pay and expenses of honourable members. This troubles me on several counts. First, because our honourable members describe it as ‘independent. Second because it’s one of Gordon Brown’s appointments – he has appointed such notables as Crosby, Moreno, Hoon, Smith, McNulty, etc. Third, because the committee is largely made up of establishment figures.

We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to call a general election immediately.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The last two local elections have shown that the people are no longer prepared to tolerate Nu-Labour without a mandate. Gordon Brown is a spent force and MUST now immediately go to the country – anything less will be be outright political fraud and maintenance of their expensive troughing lifestyles at all cost.

Things are still getting worse for Labour and Brown
The Drapergate saga followed by the Expensesgate shambles. Are we seeing the end of Labour?
I hope we are seeing the end of politics as we have known it. Surely all Parties are going to have to work at a cleaner image.
Hopefully most of the corrupt MP’s will be prosecuted and stand down and others will come forward knowing they are not joining a gravy train. As Guido said there are always lots of applicants for all parties, for every seat – so losing the corrupt one’s especially Blears,Hoon, Balls,Cooper, Mackays, Wintertons,Beckett, Smith and Martin is going to be no loss at all. (Let’s not forget Uddin,Watson,Hope etc))
Time for something better.
i have had enough of reading expenses of the scotch bonnets, maybe you should eat some steak and kidney pudding, a small glass of fizzy tonic water and listen to a Jim Reeves on the ipod, who funds Time Team? they never find anything and that Tony Blears is a right little left shit
The problem with voting for the other parties is that they are all much worse that the three mainstream ones; their only redeeming feature is that so far they have not been found out.
The BNP are self confessed “Old Labour” with a bit of race hate thrown in; they also seem singularly lacking in brain cells;
The Greens are environmental fascists who want to control your very thought process. They would impose the most domineering bureaucracy in history if they had the chance;
UKIP have their heart in the right place but can’t run a booze up in a brewery. The only person they have who can string more than three coherent words together is Nigel Farrage. Their party organisation is abysmal and so would their presence in any numbers in Brussels be.
No. The only sensible solution is for the Tory party’s local activists to deselect those of their MPs who have had their hand in the till and this should be done as quickly as possible. The electorate can then vote Tory on the European Elections on the 4 June to give Gordon Brown the thrashing ho so richly deserves.
If you get rid of those who have had their fingers in the till there will be no fucker left you pratt

Ian McCartney claimed for champagne flutes and £700 table and chairs: MPs expenses
Ian McCartney, the former Labour Party chairman, spent £16,000 furnishing and decorating his designated second home but paid the money back two years later.
He paid this back in 2006 after the High Court Decision was made. What would he have done if the decision went the other way????

I would love to vote UKIP, being to the right of centre myself, but I would also like to retire to somewhere warm and mediterranean in the next decade. If we could somehow semi-extract ourselves from the EU, by losing the requirement to change our laws and pay them tribute for the privilege, but retain the right to settle in one of the EU countries, that would suit me just fine.

Infected cases of Swine flu in the British Isles has hit 100 tonight. Infected cases of the Kleptomania virus in Parliament is running at approx 200 cases.
Obviously Kleptomania is the greater danger at the moment. The public should be aware that Kleptomania is characterised by repeated failed attempts to stop stealing and that people with this virus usually exhibit guilt after the theft.
No vaccine is available, so deselection and imprisonment are the only means to counteract this devastating plague and these should be used ruthlessly.

As regards General Wrangel, Policy of HM Government to obsefve strict neutrality. No action for the evacuation of refugees other than those of British nationality should be undertaken by British authorities. Admiralty have instructed C-in-C Mediterranean to this effect.
Urgent – Foreign Office
Sir:
With reference to previous correspondence regarding the evacuation of refugees from South Russia, I am directed by Lord Curzon of Kedleston to point out that, as a result of General Wrangel’s retreat, there may be a further exodus of refugees from Southern Russia.
Lord Curzon is anxious that no more refugees should become a charge on HM’s Government, already overburdened in this respect, and he would therefore be glad if instructions would be issued to the Commander in Chief Mediterranean, to the effect that no assistance should henceforth be lent by British ships to Russians attempting to leave South Russia. The guaranties given to General Denikin by Sir Halford McKinder on Jan. 10 last was fulfilled on the collapse of the Volunteer Army at the end of March last, and HM’s Government have no further obligations towards the Russians at present in the territory occupied by general Wrangel, their efforts to protect whom at an earlier stage were indeed frustrated by the action of General Wrangel himself.
I am Sir etc.

Sorry can’t agree the Scottish regiments have a long and brave history – go look at WW1/WW2 – please don’t lump them in with this rubbish grasping load of scots polticians(brown, martin, darling etc) who are not worth a spoonful of nightsoil.
The Scottish Regiments and their long illustrious and courageous histories are worth their weight in gold and then some.
Is it just me or does the listing seem to be getting slightly out of order? I believe some of the ironical comments are losing their impact by ending up out of context, Guido, please sort..
The entire political system is a complete fraud. There is no democracy in a Parliament where the Members are required to follow a whip and not what their constituents ask. This little row has simply exposed the sham that is Whitehall/Westminster, of course MP’s have their snouts in the trough, the only reason its now become apparent is that somewhere in the Civil Service someone has decided to expose it. The question is, who and why? And secondly, with what intent.
Churchill was right, five minutes with your average voter and you know democracy can’t work – except, as Churchill also remarked, “Democracy is the worst of all systems, except for all the others.”
We have to change the system and we have to change it so that the MP’s are answerable directly to the voters in their constituency and not just at the occassional election called at the whim of whoever is currently in Number 10. Perhaps it is time to look at a system that allows the voters to elect not just a Member, but to also vote on which elemenst of their manifesto you are prepared to support – and which not. If any decision is to be made that is not a part of that agenda, it should then go to a full pelbicite which, unlike the Irish Lisbon Treaty vote should be buinding for all parties and all time.
Then we must remove all “professional” policticians. The US system for Presidents looks like a good model – two terms and that’s it.

TWO HITS AND YER OUT OF THE CRACKHOUSE M8*
MALFEASANCE IN PUBLIC OFFICE – The offence is misconduct in public office, which has been defined as:-
“Where a public officer is guilty of misbehaviour in office by neglecting a duty imposed upon him either at common law or by statute, he commits a misdemeanour and is liable to indictment unless another remedy is substituted by statute. The liability exists whether he is a common law or a statutory officer; and a person holding an office of important trust and of consequence to the public, under letters patent or derivatively from such authority, is liable to indictment for not faithfully discharging the office.”
“Their opposition hits the system from without, and is therefore not deflected by the system; it is an elementary force which violates the rules of the game and, in doing so, reveals it as a rigged game…The fact that they start refusing to play the game may be the beginning of the end of a period.”
Herbert Marcuse, One-Dimensional Man, Boston: Beacon Press, 1964.
Marcuse, a marxist, seems to have summed up the feelings of the Electorate at this time.
How dare the political classes and the media preach to the electorate as to who they should vote for as a protest against them.
They still have not realised that nobody, apart from themselves and the braindead/brainwashed, believes a word they say any more.
All that guff about tightening belts and making do in a time of economic adversity, do they lead by example – do they hell!
“Do as I say not as I do”, doesn’t wash.
My message to the political elite – you are a busted flush, no-one likes you, no-one trusts you. How much clearer does the electorate have to be?
I’ll vote for who I choose and as you have lied to me for years now, I’ll probably choose to vote for those you tell me not to vote for. They are bad are they? So where are Saddam’s WMDs? You were certain about those too, weren’t you?
By the way that was me.
Vote for the Communist Party of Great Britain I say…

ANCIENT CHINESE PHILOSOPHERS SAY THAT THE GREAT ALWAYS INCLUDES THE SMALL
AND
THE SMALL ALWAYS INCLUDES THE GEATE
AND THE SMORL ALWAYS INQKLUDES THE GRATE
Some years ago The Sunday Times did an article on Hobsbawn Macauley Public relations firm. It stated that any museum which wanted funds from the National Lottery “had to” employ Hobsbawn Macauley.
The article said that Gordon Brown was very helpful to Sarah Macauley part owner of the the firm and the future Mrs Brown.
Anyone else remember this article? It practically accused Gordon Brown of sleaze but no one was listening at the time. The media should have another look at this episode as the Hobsbawn Macauley PR company’s profits went from a few thousand to a few million with a little help from a friend.
Gordon says “it’s not my fault
I am always innocent”
Hers was ONE of the public relations firms (used a conduit for bribes) (there were others…see Guardian article on Mr Mendelson) used by the Criminal Labour Party…all flourished originally under Blair…Tony’ Cronies…
Just like Gordon Brown having a bunch of thugs like McBride criminally demfaming anyone in their way…

John Sopel asked him about a chair he’d claimed for and Minibrains response was that he could have either replaced it or repaired it so he had it repaired…
The fact that he then charged the taxpayer 400 sovs to have it fixed just didnt seem to register with the thick spazzer.
So over a week on and STILL theyre not “GETTING IT”.
The on C4 news they had John Denham- what a fucking cock. Another one who simply does not realise what the problem is.
And Andrew Neil had Billy Bob Hague on “Straight Talk”.
Turns out that willy wanker Hague is going to give us a referendum on the lesbion treaty…… *IF!* its not been ratified by Ireland who told the EU to go fuck themselves ( Way to go Paddys!) but he wouldnt say if we’ll get our say if the Irish say “Si!” to it next time around.
So, Traitors the fucking lot of them.
Nice one Wlliam Vague, you just haemmoraged another vote to UKip.
You Lying, Doubletalking, treacherous, Venal Scum!
I appreciate Guido’s work but I feel it would be prudent, cough, to take a look at all these silly salaries for people in public office i.e. people in councils etc.
Here is my expenses proposals for MPs.
Keep the system as it (i.e. the same base salary) with the following things:
1. Keep salaries as they are.
2. All claims are placed online. This negates the possibility of frivolity due to trial by Daily Mail and means the HoC fees office (an impotent regulator) is relieved of duties.
3. Housing expenses means tested. This will relax the bleeding heart liberals who moan about the working class not being able to seek public office due to low pay.
4. Travel expenses are based on a map of Britain which is zoned. I.e. people in North of Scotland get more.
5. Pensions are cut by half.
6. Penalties for lack of commons attendance.
There, all the problems are sorted!
Another triumph for Labour, S NP and their media allies has been to drive a wedge between the Scots and English. Divide and rule.
Plenty of evidence here of how well they have succeeded – lots of petty bickering and name-calling that does no one any credit.
The most successful tie-up in history between two nations destroyed by a bunch of socialists on the make. Tragic.
Guido is comment threading busted?
Not with you one this.
I think: Guido Fawkes is wrong here.
Just shifting your vote to a no-hoper party is lazy and ineffective. If you really care, get up and do something.

Good idea Guido, except that the Euro elections are about sending people to the land of milk and honey for those that put troughing at the top of their agenda. In the toy parliament there is no receipts for expenses requirement, the EU troughing pigs merely fill in their expense claims without the need for supporting documentation.
Do those fringe parties have people of integrity and honour in such manners?

Better still, Vote ENGLISH DEMOCRATS PARTY.
The vote on June 4 is all about Sovereignty. Vote LibLabConGreenLibertas if you want the EU police state. Vote UKIP if you want Britain to retain the ability to run its own affairs and heal itself. Obviously the election is a sham whatever the result but if UKIP get a substantial vote our lunatic PM might be forced to call a referendum on the LisbonCon Treaty or even a GE. I live in HOPE !
The main parties may be corrupt but please save us from the Green Party (who have their own lying agenda – like global warming etc), UKIP, BNP etc. As 996 Dave S said it is the MPs who are corrupt, not the system.
However, the public don’t really want to know the truth about how this country is run, and let’s face it the media hype at the moment is hysterical (even orgasmic). The media don’t care what’s really happening to the country, all they want to do sell is newspapers. Swine flu was hyped up, MPs’ expenses are being hyped up – what will be the next story?
As a Glaswegian I am thoroughly ashamed of Gorbals Mick – he really doesn’t reflect who my fellow-countrymen are. I originally came from a working-class background but through sheer hard work I’ve raised myself to be what I would call middle class and without lying, cheating or stealing. This man has raised himself to one of the most powerful positions in the land (and once one of the most respected) but all he can do is trough, lie, cheat and scheme and do it all with two permanent chips on his shoulder. He is the one who must go – not the parliamentary system otherwise we would have anarchy.
Remember if you vote in the European elections for a minority party it is they who will be running this country anyway – not Gordon Brown’s bunch of thieving b******s.
Can we get one thing straight…
UKIP are NOT corrupt like the 3 main parties, a point many people seem to be making.
They milk their EU expenses yes, and they make no secret of it! Why? To show just how dodgy and corrupt the whole damned thing is.
Two members were also found guilty of being fraudgelent, however, the important point to note is that they were both without delay EXPELLED from the Party! Compare that to the fraudgelent honourable members of Lib, Lab, Con.. Who at worst have been asked to ‘pay back’ some money, or step down from ministerial positions. Anyone with half a brain can see then that UKIP if anything have Integrity, not a common attribute amongst political parties these days.
….. Who will I be voting for? UKIP.
Amongst all the rage and talk of Protest Votes on June 4th, the BNP has had far too much coverage in the media as if they alone are the party for England. They are not. On the right and left there are other Minority Parties which exactly fit the fashion of the English Flag flying more and more from our homes and businesses, and on our cars and lorries and their registration plates. They are brand new to politics so cannot be within any MP, local council or MEP expenses scandals now or to come. The media ignore them altogether, as they speak exactly as all blogs, forums, letters to newspapers, and people in the street who are English or integrated into English culture. My hobby website earns me nothing but is something to do in retirement. Completely off topic to the content I have put a new page named Revolution (of sorts) in which are links to these English Minority Parties who would be ideal in European and in Local Government. My website is about a remote part of Greece long fallen off the tourist map:

Totally agree.
Bring back Official Monster Raving Loony Party. NOW.
Vote Monster.
The old con trick? would that be the old conservative con trick? i.e. we are agin it but can’t say it? besides it’s worth it to line our pockets.
I saw Margaret Moran MP chased out of Luton Sainsbury’s last week by a furious mob of screaming housewives and old people. She was arrogant and tried to shout them down at first but when more joined in and started screaming at her, she shit herself and ran for it in tears.
Be careful voting Monster. Might get one. Oh, that’s a point…..we already have…
She’ll have to go back to home deliveries by Waitrose from the £600 “food allowance” that she claims every month.
She’ll have to go back to home deliveries by Waitrose from the £600 “food allowance” that she claims every month.
were they doing BOGOF on Dry Rot Repairs?
Looks to me the fat kunt has been eating her full £600 a month food allowance, her nose even looks like a snout.
Should have egged her for all her crimes.
Damn shame that’s not up on You Tube.
This is the sort of thing we want to hear more of.
MPs are very ‘tough’ and all mouth when they are in a large gang, but they aren’t quite so brave on their own.
It rather reminds one of a gang of yobs – quite happy to stab innocent individuals when they are in a big loud group, but snivelling little cowards when confronted on their own.
Ihope thats true
Surely she should have been at Tesco’s instead of Sainsbury’s – after all;
EVERY LITTLE CLAIM HELPS……..
If that’s correct, you’ve just made my week !!!!
Power to the People; let the Troughers very, very worried !
And U didn’t record it on your mobile? That would’ve got lotsa hits on U-Tube.
Only £600 per month. Doesn’t Moran realise she’s depriving herself? Ming Campbell claims £800 every month for food.
Don’t we get more than 1 vote or is that the Postal system?
Ukip have hardly any councillors and when standing in a general election get derisory votes.
However when the EURO elections come round the ESTABLISHMENT media – which under any other circumstances most of you see for what it is – suddenly dicover this establishment trash can and promote it with 5 million quids worth of free publicity.
If you want to see political corruption take a look at Tom Wise UKIP MEP.
He makes many at Westminster look like amateurs.
UKIP have sat on the gravy train for 10 years doing F all.
So the suckers will fall for it all again.
Christ some idiots never learn.
No wonder this country is in the state it is when some folk are prepared to be fooled not once, not twice but three times.
God help us.
Short of forming a new party who the fuck do we vote for then to get out of the EU Troughing Superstate?
God won’t help because we are in such a midden, but we can as the party of purity honour justice uprightedness and all things English(Chicken Balti, Kebabs, rubber, gold , silver, – (err and other things wot we nicked from around the Empire) stand up and be counted Yeomen of England (women should stay behind their sinks) In turn we will only claim for reasonable expenses £22K p.a should just about do it)
UKIP are just a bunch of bent monomaniacs hyped by the MSM to split the conservative vote.
Vote Monster Raving please.
The one anti EU vote that is going to scare the Establishment out of their blatant disregard for law, morality, arrogance and greed, is for the unmentionables.
Why do you think that the same establishment is busting a gut denying them any public voice, denigrating them with no right to reply, and trying to convince you that they are Satan incarnate.
They are scared of them.
OK I agree the leader is crap but there are a lot of excellent candidates if you take a look and one leader does not a party make.
Not only are you voting anti EU, you vote for a new constitutional federal Britain with equal rights of self determination for English people, you vote for anti global sanity and you really vote for British jobs for British people. Not to mention secure national borders. They also oppose our illegal wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
If you do not agree with the above then you have three main parties and all the other minor parties to choose from.
If you want to make an impact and scare the establishment into real change, hold your nose if need be, but go ruin the day of every bit of establishment dross that is destroying this once great nation.
spoil your ballot
It’s better than wasting our votes by not voting at all and it’s the ultimate insult to all the crooks we have had to put up with over the years. All have prevoiusly said they would “clean the system up”. Shouldn’t that have been they would “do all they can to cover it up”?
I’m voting Monster to piss off Blues, Reds, Pinks and that new kit kat party.
and WTF do these pople do with their SALARIES…??????????????
why is he so thin then
AND BANKS HIS SALARY !!
THESE PEOPLE ARE MAD…
ON A DIFFERENT PLANET..
IT’s ALL FRAUD ON THE TAXPAYER
“I’m voting Monster to piss off Blues, Reds, Pinks and that new kit kat party.”
Great, go ahead but it won’t make the slightest difference. It’s a bit like a child stamping a foot in a tantrum.
I’m not voting UKIP. The way they have troughed like pigs in the Euro Parliament makes them as bad as the worst of the crooks in this country.
There’s only one minor party that scares the shit out of the big three, but we’re not allowed to mantion them on here.
We will see. Won’t we.
The public want blood and there going to get it.
I wonder how many party’s will be door knocking for votes.
If they tried in our town they would need armed guards and plenty of ambulances!
According to the Mail:
“Although the Queen’s role in Parliament is now largely ceremonial, it is the Monarch who dissolves Parliament, and it is only convention that dictates that she should do so only on the advice of the Prime Minister.
She also retains a key role in the passage of legislation. The Crown is expected to act with ‘the advice and consent’ of the Commons and Lords, but again, it is only convention which states that she will give Royal assent to Bills passed by the two Houses.”
This is true. She could throw a constitutional spanner in the works.
It would make Labour forever anti-monarchy.
Without the oppositions backing I doubt Gordon could resist. She’d have popular opnion on her side and the Lords too.
Very good analysis
If the Queen did threaten to abdicate Brown would give way I’m sure…He never had any cojones (why surround your self with obscene attack dogs like McBride if you have any courage ??)
She could also guarantee the solidity of the position of the House of Windsor for another generation of she forced Brown to “DO THE RIGHT THING”??? even though Charlie Big Ears is not up to much I would agree !!
Yes and take all your useless MP’s with you
So how will you cope without our English money? What about national security? Are the Scots going to have their own MI5/6? What about defence? How about all those Scottish service personnel serving in the Royal Navy? The RAF? Non-Scottish army regiments like the Paras? SNP have a great supporter called Sir Sean Connery. So if the Scots get independence then will he dump the ‘Sir’. Will he actually live in Scotland?
From an English point of view, SNP are just another EU supporting leftist party. I work with Scots (in England) who wouldnt vote SNP if they lived in Scotland.
Scotland is a third world backwater. You’d be fucked outside the UK.
Get real!
Keep Miss Whiplash in business, I imagine.
save them….thats why the bill us for their mortgage, tv, food…..every fucking thing…..thats why they are all millionaires,
600 quid a month for fucking food…..! what are they eating..thats 150 quid a week on food !!!!!
greedy troughing bastards and bitches
Salary……. now I know I get one but can’t remember for the life of me what I do with it! Comrade to be honest I’ve just enjoyed a double portion of filet mignon and lager from my £600 monthly food allowance and bloody nice it was too. It’s a whole Sarah Lee Black Forest Gateau for afters….. yum yum!
Labour have always been anti-monarchy and anti-Britain (especially the English.)
Their creed is one of envy and contempt. Envy of those above and contempt for those below.
They have spent the last 10 years dismantling our society and our culture. Trying to make us apologists. While at the same time we are forced to accept other cultures as better or moral. And we are accused of gross stupidity if we question.
There have been mixed reports on those that have made it on local elections, I read somwere weeks ago that they were doing well at local level as councillors, A few weeks later there were reports to the contrary once they posed a serious threat in the euro elections.
Mantioning is two dollar extra mister perv.
http://www.plaidcymru.org/
I keep hearing this – didn’t they chuck out their member who did this? Or have I got it wrong?
I’m almost certain I’ll vote UKIP to upset McMental and the BBC but really want to know more about the troughing – wiki says he was thrown out… :S
All MEPs trough like pigs. So I guess you won’t be voting at all.
sorry posted in wrong place – was meant to be in response to someone claiming ukip meps are as corrupt as labour, conservative and libdem ones…
They are!

My partner rather likes the look of Sarah Brown. She just can’t understand how she could have married that weird man.
I can’t understand how you could marry any man.
So how will you cope without our English money

You are very special.
Bless.
Quite. Precisely what I intend to do.
Women often fall for sad cases you know…
They think they can help them…
But Death Wish Brown is far beyond helping..
Even though I hate the bugger I am worried that we are attacking a MAN WHO IS SERIOUSLY MENTALLY SICK…
God help Britain…
Brown forces his wife to wear hired dresses cos he is so mean.
The Brown’s marriage is a business arangement. Gordon Brown was told he would have to marry if he was to take over from Blair so he made this arrangement with a professional PR person.
She knew he was gay before they married but went through with it as a very lucrative career move.
Lesbians. Pop round to my place and ill cure you.
What he said.
…et cum spiritu Touhig.
Forces his WHAT?!
Come now Sir, -
But does he also share her makeup?
Forgot to mention I was poking your wife for all those years as well dear chap
Go and see him and tell him. He lives in a £3million manor house just outside Cirencester…..you helped to pay for it LOL
Ah – but does she like chocolate starfish, too?
So who filled the turkey baster? someone with dodgier genes than gordon or was it syringed out of mandelsons butt?
Some years ago The Sunday Times did an article on Hobsbawn Macauley Public relations firm. It stated that any museum which wanted funds from the National Lottery “had to” employ Hobsbawn Macauley.
The article said that Gordon Brown was very helpful to Sarah Macauley part owner of the the firm and the future Mrs Brown.
Anyone else remember this article?
You very funny guy! :)
So Scotland is a third world backwater because why, exactly?
Mmm, let me see now!
Why don’t you just let us go and we’ll call it quits.
Have a nice day.
I hear that Speaker Martin’s expenses are to be revealed in the Telegraph within 2 or 3 days, and that they are going to be dynamite.
Please go, and take all your expats, inc all these fucking Labour politicians, with you.
Because it’s full of half-witted ginger wife-beaters and drug addicts who are so fucking stupid they keep voting tribal Labour even though the politicians are so obviously getting fat and rich at their expense. All the clever Scottish folk emigrated years ago.
The Penguin.
It’s well known in this part of Liverpool that the local Labour MP has a profitable sideline in selling everything from brand new plasma TV’s and Hi-fi’s to sides of lamb, joints of beef, and whole salmon.
Now we know how he gets hold of it all.
Is it the one whose daughter used to get roasted by Liverpool footballers?
Names please…
Freedom of speech…
No that’s Steve Gerards wife who used to get if from the local mob boss.
Peter Kilfoyle’s daughter used to be ‘popular’ with Liverpool footballers according to what I read in the Liverpool Echo a few years ago.
She was a hell of a goer by all accounts.
I don’t believe a word of that.
Can we please know why Balls and the husband have not been featured anywhere?
Why has the Uddin story gone quiet?
Why isn’t Vaz hanging from a lamppost?
Up in the desolate northern wilderness a labour MP could burn their houses down rape their first born and dance on Robert Burns grave and still they would vote him back in.
If all the Scottish scum fucked off home the north would sink into the sea and the south would rise into the sky.Known as the seesaw effect.
BUTT
ASS
ASS WHOLE
y du u knot keep yore ammerykan mind above your navel
Independence within Europe ?
I live in the West-midlands euro region. You live in the Western euro region.
The poor bloody people of Kent are not even in an English euro region. Their capital is Lille. Trans-march I think they call it.
You can not leave Britian you idiots….. You are the British, ask the Cornish the Bretons or non-irish Jocks. Muppet.
P.s The Romans have gone home now.
To the welsh nats.
Ed Balls and Yvette Cooper have not been exposed because they haven’t done anything wrong you Tory fuckwits.
Geddit!!!!
You’ve obviously never been to Liverpool, soft lad.
1) Because they know the D Tel editor too well.
2) Don’t know – maybe she’s been charged and it’s all sub-judice ? Sorry, this is Britain isn’t it – we’ll be waiting for all the facts to change before anyone starts thinking about charging her. Why hasn’t Brown just sacked her to start with ? It would have been clearly deserved and give an impression of action, all at zero-impact since no-one knows what Uddin does anyway.
3) Vaz, Vaz, Vaz — what can one say? Is he really still an MP?
It beggars belief.
Lets’ hope Martin goes tomorrow – there should be no hanging around for pay-offs and pensions etc. If there’s any messing about like that he will have won the MP’s lottery at our expense.
They were exposed in Friday’s Telegraph but were overshadowed by Malik, you soft fucker.
Geddit?!!!
Hhahahaha get fooked balls and his homunculus are guilty as the rest….truth will out.
twat.
“Ed Balls and Yvette Cooper have not been exposed because they haven’t done anything wrong you Tory fuckwits.
Geddit!!!!”
They’re guilty of being unbearably smug, sanctimonious, grasping, NuLiebore scum.
Against the wall. Vaz & Thick Mick too.
Yes they have you labour pucker fucker.
300k a year EACH troughed from the public, treble flipped their second residences, 600 quid each a month on food- skanky vette needs a good sausage not that chippolata of eds….he’s all balls ya know.
Now fuck off back to labourlost and suck dollys dick some more.
The fat hoon is going to hang on until the next GE in order to get his £100k golden parachute-just watch.
I look forward to it, the fat ignorant b’stard.
I thought Guido bought the dynamite!
If all the Scots went home there’d be nae fookin British army, we’ve been your cannon fodder for centuries
Welsh nats who threw their lot in with Labour at the last election? I think that by putting their kiddie reins into mother Labour’s hands they have shown themselves as unfit to govern by themselves.
Rumour has it that is exactly why Charles hasn’t been promoted…
..that and he talks to his plants.
Yes-they are a primitive people!
Correct.
Voting Labour up here is a communicable disease passed down through generations. A bit like Aids in Africa it destroys communities, destroys pride and self-esteem, ruins education, creates desolation and poverty, induces a sense of hopelessness and causes premature death.
Parts of the country generally unaffected by the virus usually prosper. Local ZaNU Labour party workers siphon relief money into their own pockets. Periodically at election times, witchdoctors called ‘Trots’ fly up from London and spread the virus around with new virulent strains to keep the aid money flowing in.
I live in one of those constituencies.
You are bang on !
How come the media, including the BBC are hyping up UKIP so much at the moment? Even Guido is doing it.
Why does everyone want us to vote UKIP all of a sudden? Is it just becasue of the Euro elections?
So true. I remember my first exposure to politics during the Miners’ Strike. How the agitators would appear in the local working men’s club and whip up support.
I was reminded of this when I started studying Northern Ireland. Watching demo’s on the news etc. you would see the shadowy men in leather jackets standing on the sides in the background……….
Yes, spot on – my family was infected. I am the first generation to have broken free from this disease.
Fat Labour dwarf and sex pest Ian McCartney MP pays back 14 grand after he realises it’s going to be made public:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/mps-expenses/5339908/Ian-McCartney-claimed-for-champagne-flutes-and-700-table-and-chairs-MPs-expenses.html
UKIP are the establishment approved safety valve
There shit scared of the BNP.
“How come the media, including the BBC are hyping up UKIP so much …?”
Easy – they want to split the conservative vote.
Judging by comments here, Common Purpose can claim misson accomplished.
Even BBC staffers have families and children to think the future of.
In my view, one might forgive Kilfoyle a lot for being a fierce critic of the invasion of Iraq and for having been the person who passed onto a US Democrat details of former President Bush’s insane plan to bomb the Al-Jazeera broadcasting station. Cf Liverpool Daily Post, 2 May 2007.
You could be replaced by a Gurkha. At least they don’t whine and wear skirts.
They are fat, they are round, their double chins are on the ground. Are all Liebour MPs spawn from some queen like that seen in Alien, they all look the same.
Sorry cannot have that – we might have to offer them permanent residence in the UK afterwards and the Black Cardi – UKIP alliance cannot have that!
AD ABSURDUM
