You just don’t get it do you? There IS NO MORE DEMOCRATIC EU on offer! The people who run the show (not the MEPS) are unelected – and could not be less interested in democracy. When the Lisbon Treaty is finally ratified, they will be able to BAN political parties which advocate withdrawal – indeed which even criticise the goal of ‘ever greater union’ in any way! WAKE UP!

The question of how to reclaim the power successive parliaments have ceded to Brussels is too important to allwo little questions of party to merit consideration. If the two main parties hadn’t sold the pass to the EU – against what they know is the wish of the British people (certainly the English) Tebbitt wouldn’t feel constrained to speak out, It’s almost too late now – but if enough people do speak out – and act – disaster may be averted, and we may still have a nation state and a parliament worh the name.

And I’m not some little Englander – I’ve lived and farmed in three countries in Europe – Spain France and Italy . They play by different rules, and we would be far better off in every way leaving them to it, and running our own fishing policy, agricultural policy, energy policy, waste policy, and above all our own immigration policy.

Don’t waste your votes by voting UKIP, B.N.P. Libertas or any of the 3 main parties.
There is only one real alternative party and that is the Jury Team.
Neither Libertas or UKIP can make any real difference and the other lot are way too extreme but by supporting the Jury Team in the Euro elections and in the next general election, you have a real chance to change the system.
As for the European debate itself, the quicker we withdraw from Europe the better. The British have been lied to and conned from start to finish, as far as the E.U./common market is concerned. It’s about time that the public were given a say on the matter. Nobody under 50 years of age has ever been given an opportunity to vote on the E.U. I wonder why that is?
( Btw, for our little conspiracy theorist, have you never read about the 4th Reich? Check it out fella, it’ll make you go w00t! )

Wrong, wrong, wrong, EITF.

It hasn’t been “poorly implemented” at all. It’s been damn-near perfectly implemented. This corrupt, undemocratic, supranational leviathan is exactly what was intended from the very start.

You may see the EU as a failing, corrupt, attempt to create a democratic United States of Europe, much like the USA. And you would be dead wrong. The intention always was much closer to a United State of Europe, singular, and democracy was emphatically not to be a part of it. It was an idea born out of the Age of Dictators, and the most charitable interpretation is that it was an attempt to create a benign “dictatorship of the Commission”. The parliament, or “assembly”, was always intended to be what it is: a toothless sop to public opinion.

That’s why Britain “walked out” of the Messina conference. It’s why, along with other northern European countries, we set up EFTA, which has no ambitions towards political union. Those ambitions, and the deliberate suppression of national democracy, have been absolutely central to the pan-European movement since at least the 1920s.

You ain’t about to “reform” them now.

Why vote Libertas? More pro-EU bullshittery. Lib/Lab/Con/Libertas, no difference. The choice is EU or not-EU, and I say, balls to the EU.

Reform? Its unreformable, and besides, Charlie I, Louis, Napoleon, Kaiser Bill, the Fuhrer – you don’t ‘reform’ tyrants, you get rid of them.

The role of a backbench MP is not much more than that of a less qualified CAB employee. They should be paid accordingly. They should get more for the legislative and standing Committees that they sit on. These should be appointed by the House, according to electoral balance and not by the Whips.

In other words, remove the gifts of the leadership and pay them so that the more they work the more they get paid.
