Major : I Complained to Cabinet Secretary About McBride
Guido’s co-conspirator with his eye on the Tory girls was at an event last night held by the Conservative Women’s Organisation. John Major told the ladies that last year he had put in a complaint to the Cabinet Secretary, Gus O’Donnell, about Damian McBride’s activities. It was of course to no avail.
The truth is that Gus O’Donnell is seen by many senior Tories as an integral part of Team Brown. They no longer have any respect for him as an impartial civil servant and he is unlikely to survive the coming regime change.
Ironic that he first came to prominence under John Major.

There needs to be a thorough purge of the politicised Common Purpose civil servants.
Starting with John Scarlett.
Fuck you!
Scarlet is a disgrace
o’donnell is gordon’s favourite rimmer and there is a reason for that.
it’s because o’donnell really sticks his tongue as far as he can up gordon’s arsehole. o’donnell just loves the taste of gordon’s anus and licks it and licks it until gordon screams out in pleasure.
the only c’unt who can out-rim o’donnell is, of course, nick ‘I am down’s syndrome but everyone is very kind and doesn’t mention it’robinson.
nick rims like a dirty crackhead bitch begging for her next hit.
robinson is a filthy propagandist anal linking Huhne but if I had to decide who was the worst between them, then I would say that o’donnell is the most dishonest and filthy fucking rimmer of gordon’s sphincter.
note to o’donnell: you dirty fucking war criminal Huhne.
you are on the list.
No.
You hang on to the ‘damaged goods’until you need to dump a whole load of shite.
Then you get rid of them, and they carry the can.
That’s Lab/Commie thinking alright.
A cull is what we need
As the handle says, here I am in Frogatia. I can lay my hands on a nice second handd guillotine and a couple of refurbished tumbrils. Free if put to good use; ie topping McBastard!
New government first task – fire 50% of civil service and make the rest resit much tougher Civil Service Entrance Exams, then hire only the top 1% who pass those. Outsource all other work.
Savings: 10billion pounds.
Problem with this is that the outsourcee just hires the civil servants who were sacked and you end up as badly off – and it costs more.
indeed. the civil service needs to be cut up now.
Do you mean outsource all the work just like Ed Balls did with the exam marking?
All senior civil servants promoted by New Labour should be investigated for complicity with the scum.
What total bollocks. When Major tried outsourcing bits of the Budget in the 1990′s in was a total disaster, the work was shoddy and it was far more expensive than just doing it in-house.
By all means outsource the lot, but just don’t expect it to be (a) any more efficient and (b) any cheaper.
And no I’m not a civil servant. But I know that public sector government is not the same as private sector business.
you moron we are a trillion in hock
i piss 10 billion
And N Burdett
I maybe two steps short of a full pandemic, but this does not mean I cannot find global solutions to global problems.
PS. It’s the right thing to do under the circumstances.
Did you ‘appen to ask the Tory ladies why they were not good enough to make it in to Dave’s cabinet?
Perhaps they just weren’t good enough or interested enough. Oh! perish the thought! sorry, Harriet.
the get lads tits would for their not out
And Common Purpose Police officers(Cressida Dick being one alongside many others, Michael Banks Asst Chief Constable Durham being another *see my blog for details) and Council officers (Barry Keel CEO of Plymouth)…………..
And its not about communism its about control freakery.
Gordon Brown is a prime example of this
Anyone notice according to Johnson’s figures the population is now up to 66 million
soon be down to 60 mil if swine flu’s virulence in Mexico is genuine. Don’t panic !!
Thats the posty, sorting the postal votes for the election
Fuck off Brown, you pierdonleniec.
The film that is.
http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/Read.aspx?GUID=803097BD-3D3E-472C-B07C-3BD7FA2FD3E8
No chance, besides they are being scape goated. They don’t hold any power. Scarlett is a tosser but most of them couldn’t take a crap without clearing it with Brown. Lets not forget 5 years ago the sun shone out of the Blair/Brown arse, all this was going on then. It’s the penalty for Britain voting with it’s house price. Remember, the devil plays when good men see and just check up on what their house is worth. Maybe in the future people will remember something they should not have foprgotten. There is no free lunch, not with nu lablour not with anyone. There is always a bill. It’s the politicos that are the real problem, they are the ones who have given the unelected and unaccountable civil servants the whole field to play and all the money they wanted. Take away the money and every single civil servant will vanish into obscurity, where they belong
I believe there is a huge problem with unimpartial civil servants and a lot of them will need to be ‘weeded out’upon regime change.
Agreed, agreed, agreed!
An even greater evil is the recommendation to use EVEN MORE consultants in the public sector.
This arrangement has been around in laissez-faire mode for years and has now been formalised using the Audit Commission as a smoke screen to sanction so-called “democratic open & transparent” local authority planning procedures to advance the interests of the party in power to whom the bung has already been paid.
http://www.audit-commission.gov.uk/Products/NATIONAL-REPORT/EFF8A0E9-4071-4fc9-8099-77FDFBD3D7CB/Myths_FINAL_web.pdf
Check myth 6 of this link to see the truth: Now private firms of non-elected “independent” experts are empowered to operate outside the law & well above the roles excluded under law to democratically elected councillors. A very convenitent nu-lab scam. Who was the architect of this project?
Quote “Councils that use the private sector for development control work stress the need to be aware of potential conflict of interest but have experienced no problems in this area.” No problems my veritable posterior!
Indeed, the corrupt and politicised civil service needs cutting right back.
former ARCHITECT of the nublab project Phil (Lord) Gould comes a top favourite given his PR consultancy Lobbying role for a certain big supermarket we’re not allowed to mention of the BBC websites, not that Lucy Neville-Rolfe or David North (ex cabinet mandarin & Bliar’s foirmer private secretary would have been of any use, I’m sure!) when they transferred out of government
bxxxt click prrrr…. is your mail being monitored too?
Hoon
Quite a few civil servants are very critical of labour, and hate the whole SPAD/politicised rubbish that is the current situation, by the way…….
John Major as in John Major? You can’t fucking ignore complaints by ex PM’s however much of a Hoon you think they are. Gus O’Donnell – stoooooge. Should do what they do in the US and change civil servants with administration.
That’s effectively what New Labour did in 97 with their massive importation of SpAds.
The difference being that the SpAds were in the main the unelectable side of socialism, not experts in any field.
GOM-
McBride was a career civil servant at HMT who became Brown’s familiar and transmogrified into a SpAd.
There’s no easy solution to this.
Just to add-
There appears to have been a solution to McBride. The wider problem will take some sorting.
That really is appalling partisanship from Sir Gus.
I’m speechless.
Really, Plato? You mean you haven’t got it yet?
The WHOLE establishment is politiciised. How many more times.
G O’D went native long ago.
Major – is that the one I shagged? I really can’t remember.
No, it was a Minor…Arthur Scargill, I believe.
No, it was the egg industry
What about the civil servants who lied to the police to get Damien Green arrested? Surely they should be fired and prosecuted?
Jacqui will make sure they don’t.
Especially ones who won an election.
I was there last night…it was a great speach but of course when does any of it ever solve anything?
Being able to freely express an idea means the truth usually comes out. And that filters down to the electorate.
In Russia there is little such freedom and the people think Putin is God, even though they’re still syanding in bread queues.
Couldn’t agree more but what’s syanding?
Unbeliever – I am still in charge, not Putin – who needs a surveillance database. PS will you stop trashing my place. It used to be quite nice.
If only Noah had not rescused a couple of politicians things would be fine.
One of the most disgusting things about Labour is their politicization of the civil service and the outrageous hubris behind the claim that they are the party/government of the people. Hoons the lot of them and any civil servants getting the boot at the next election only have themselves to blame. Any found involved in party political activity should be sacked without pensions.
BLOG SEX
Those comments are LOL!!! ROTFLOL!!! GYTO!!! PIUTB!!!
Do you think it will be ok to have a ‘peoples lamp post’to hang them from?
SwissBob – I agree wholeheartedly that the CS must be depoliticised, but have to point out the uncomfortable fact that the rot started with the blessed Margaret. At the same time, let’s clear out all these party hacks paid for by us: the SpAds, press secs, researchers etc etc.
Thatcher’s question of civil servants was: ‘Is he one of us?’. She could not abide questioning of her dogma by the people she depended on to carry her policies through. Consequently, anyone who was not ‘one of us’got moved on PDQ.
Having witnessed the mess we got into under pragmatists like Wilson and Callaghan, both of whose horizons extended only as far as the following day’s headlines, as well as the mess we got into under conviction politicians like Thatcher and Bliar/Brown, it seems to me that the former is the less bad. (‘Less bad’is the best we can hope for from our current political class.)
I just hope that the Tories are reading the Northcote-Trevelyan rules. Victorian they may be, but absolutely clear on the relationship between politicos and public servants and the distinction between their duties.
Yes, let’s clear the lot of them out.
But let’s do a better job than Purnell hey?
Wrong. Remember that when Big Gus finished his spinning job for Major he returned to the Treasury. And with whom did Big Gus work closely when he got there? None other than Lamont’s right hand man on Black Wednesday, the one-and-only David Cameron. The best of relationships often come from working together in a maelstrom ……. and this was no different.
Black Wednesday thats when we lost about 4 billion right? Oh for those days again compared to now.
Now we have the ‘Brown Decade’and losing trillions.
Four billion? Pah. A rounding error under this regime of idiocy. 4×52=210bn. Now, thanks to this crucible of imbecility, every Wednesday is ‘Black Wednesday’.
There should be an FOI request which demands to see any e-mails Gus O’Donnell sent in relation to the complaint from John Major.
Top call! Any volunteers?
easy peasy do it yourself on liebour’s foi website..
FOI Request has been submitted…………..
Good stuff Mr Swiss, it’s a bit like a hanging thread – it’s just too good not to pull it.
Awesome idea. Keep us up-to-date
Cameroncould do no worse but to have a McCarthy type panel who, in public, question every one of the civil servants of Executive Officer and above.
Anyone who supports Labour or who has attended a Common Purpose course must be dismissed.
People just do not get the danger to our National Life that this invidious organisation (allegedly a Charity) is. Its tentacles spread throughout ALL our public services including the Police and Military -anyone doubting that should watch the robot from the Ministry of Defence defending the disgraceful change of policy denying the Gurkha’s a right to live here!
BUT when the Conservative Party – at the very top- is infiltrated with Common Purpose trained disciples what chance have we got? MAUDE has a lot of explaining to do and CAMERON must make a solemn pledge on the bible that he has not attended a common purpose course.
Believe me this organisation is a danger to us all.
It could be like the South African Truth and Reconciliation hearings… well, without the Reconciliation bit obviously
More like ‘one settler, one bullet’?
…and without much truth emerging.
Gus (or GOD as known in the civil service) is up to his neck in it. He is a Brown man through and through and would be the first to go.
We now have a US system where the civil service gets cleared out on a change of Govt. No bad thing, we might get some people who have actually done something in the real world! Incentivise to cut the headcount and away we go!
C’mon Guido. Where are the photos?
O’Donnell is very much part of the problem.
Kind souls have tended to describe him as hopelessly innefectual and as putty in the hands of Brown et al; which he is of course.
However, there is an emerging body of thought held by activists of all the parties who see him as actively conspiring with Labour to advance Labour’s agenda. Not innefectual at all but a longstanding and deeply politicised Labour supporter who uses his position as head of the civil service to advance the interests of the party which he affects to be neutral about.
This little over paid shit should be shot – and his entire family and cat! Why are we paying taxes to feed utter scumbag closet stalinists. The civil service needs to be culled dramatically. At the height of the Empire the foreign office employed just 150 people. today under the control of the Polish foreskin flicker, there are thousands of tossers bleeding the system dry. Shoot them all!!!!
“Anyone who supports Labour or who has attended a Common Purpose course must be dismissed.”
ABSOLUTLEY! Get rid of those communist enemies of the state!
Problem is, many pro EU tories have been recruited too! They want their communist new world order.
I’m not sure that Mr O’Donnell is too coy about where his allegiances lie. Have a look at his speeches on the Cabinet Office website, amongsth them:
‘Working to a common purpose’
Speech to the LGA/LSE conference – the future is local, given by Sir Gus O’Donnell, 14 September 2005
Hah, just reading the above speech, he came out with this classic:
Globalisation provides us with the opportunity of providing services using global inputs. But a product or service produced using global inputs doesn’t have to be the same everywhere to everybody. The challenge lies in exploiting the benefits of globalisation to deliver better services locally.
Is there any wonder we are in the shit if the people at the top are capable of such management-speak bollocks.
Cameron needs to form a Citizens’Task Force to sort public spending. I’ll do a a day a week for no pay, just the sheer satisfaction of rolling back the years to a public sector half the size it is today.
The ‘clear-out’must be carefully planned and intelligently phased – not only politicised civil servants but even the DEFRA scientists that have bent science to accommodate the current regime’s ideology
Prepare THE LIST now!
I agree – TOP DOWN
GOD (Gus O’Donnell) first
Gus O’Donnell is just another in a long list – Michael Martin, John Lyon, Electoral Commission, etc. – of unprincipled individuals that Labour have engineered into strategic positions.
Shouldn’t the Tories boldly select its Speaker now – and go back to choosing one of the Opposotion – May I suggest FRANK FIELD for a ‘sartre’
Interesting? Eh?
Yes. Might be a good idea.
But Field is, let’s just say, not the complete picnic.
Sadly the one person who would have been hilarious in that position but now can’t be was Boris. It would have least have livened up the place no end and I believe he would have been fair to both sides I’ll give him that..
Labour got out of phase by appointing Gorbals Mick. It’s time for someone honest and competent- which virtually excludes Labour. Time for a Tory, or possibly a Lib Dem, say Cable, as they will still be in opposition.
I think you’ll find that the list of potential Speakers becomes much shorter once the MPs’expense fiddles are exposed to the public in July.
The tinkering around that Blair and McBroon have done with the consititutional affairs in this country has led to Parliament being side stepped for propaganda on Radio 4 and policy declarations to the MSM.
Labour always get into financial disorder, but now they have got into administrative failure with a civil service that is no longer neutral, and we are subject to clouds of meaningless policy chaff.
The money has run out and so have the policies. It took 10 years of monetarism to repair the Healey and Callaghan mess. All that experience has conveniently been forgotten:the latest IMF and IFS are projecting 22 years to fix this one!
No wonder sales of piano wire are resisting recession.
Seems to be a “slight problem” with No10 website server re e-petitions – is it being overwhelmed or is there something more sinister ? Count at 10.04am before “crash” 21216 sigs – if it reduces we know the answer
It’s still overwhelmed – very amusing that they are having trouble coping with the thumbs down for Dear Gordon.
Do they weed obviously faked names?
Great way to spike a petition, though. Flood it with names like “Gordon Brown is a wibble-wibble idiot” and then have the petition pulled.
Stuck at 21,374 for about 30 minutes.
There are hardly any comedy names on the list over the last couple of days so guess they are bricking it.
From experience with out of control lobbying – you can’t fix it/pull it without turning it into a fire-storm.
How sad
What do expect.. it’s probably hooked up with a 28K dial-up modem now!
23132 as of now
Restitution should start with confiscation of all the assets and pension rights of all Labour politicians and their civil service and quango stooges, and their offshore trusts etc. Those MP’s who troughed extra houses etc should be executed.
Why not use Justine Greening’s idea on Any Questions last Friday. Unless it is an expense wholly, necessarily and exclusively for the job as a member of parliament, then it should be subject to tax, and have the Revenue go back six years. That will hurt Gorbals Mick where it hurts: in the wallet. But obviously And while we are at it, let’s hve the Revenue check that the home that was used to claim the second home allowance is subject to CGT when the ratbags sell it. Let the political class suffer the same rules as the little people anbd see how they like it.
Interesting to hear (Today, 8.35) Mark Fisher (Lab) and Stuart Bell (Lab) carefully pointing out, then underlining, how badly the Prime Minister has been advised by ‘young men in Downing St’over the expenses farce.
Makes one wonder who’s in charge. For sure, Brown never is when things go wrong.
Feeble – for a decade Brown was our Chancellor for pity’s sake, and if he knew anything at all it was his way around the system (if only to facilitate his plotting and scheming). To suggest that he was badly advised is utter bullshit. If he genuinely didn’t appreciate the relationship between Parliament and the executive then he’s an even bigger prat than we gave him credit for. His attempt to ‘grab the initiative’was all his and, as usual, shows what poor judgement he has.
“Nowhere to hide, nowhere to run to…..”
O’Donnell was a lecturer in Glasgow at the same time as Brown. He also co-wrote a book with Balls.
Too tight to buy a pen then?
The double entendre lives
It must have been a ball point pen.
MinTru up to no good again…

maybe so but hubby’s PC is going to have a lot of x rated sites advertised.
Yes – extremely worrying confirmation of our worst fears.
Thanks, interesting reading.
and this is accordinging to Aljabeeba so the truth must be even worse.
But if you select Frank Field as speaker do you not then deprive people of an honest representative in the HoC?
He can’t do both , represent his constituency and be speaker.
Guido , for your information,
my initials represent no-one remotely linked to psychotherapy or the labour party.Neither am I a racist nor do I take kindly to being moderated on behalf of another rabid poster.Never in my life have I voted for the Labour Party , either New or Old!
And I still dislike David Starkey
But that would be true whoever was Speaker?
Of course, this was all solved generations ago – the Speaker is helped with his constituency work. Nobody loses out. If Field was Speaker he could actually help his constituents more, through the wise use of the power of his office.
Why not? lets face Michael Martian does speaker and also represents the labour party
Martins wife is also helped out with her shopping.
He needs to be helped out of public life.
Meanwhile The Great Leader is showing off his break-dancing skills at Auschwitz.
The Penguin
Can’t find it
ok …..was looking for another video
Presumably he made this complaint via a letter
Surely under freedom of information Guido can discover this little gem?
Then you can discover if Gus actually replied, and if so what he said to not placate Mr Major
Is our PM the Mysteron otherwise known as Captain Brown?
Oor Richard is know as the Wrysteron!
Already mentioned above but the No.10 Petitions site is slow to impossible this morning. Plenty of MSM coverage last night/today is probably the cause. The McBroon has nothing sinister left to play with after last night other than to release another scary You Tube vid or call your mother names from behind his desk. I reckon Guido has finished him off…
I do wonder if there is a maximum rate at which signing is accepted for a particular petition (to try to prevent anything becoming as popular as the anti road charging/vehicle tracking petition). It really does look as though the throttle is at an unbelievably low level. Given the publicity in the MSM, you’d expect a big surge in signings over yesterday’s rate.
Over the past half hour, signings have increased from 21216 to 21374 – just 158, which is the slowest it has been in a long while during normal daytime hours. It really does look as though this is being interfered with.
Mmmm…yep, I can get onto the site now but virtually no activity on the petition. Meanwhile over at the “Carry On PM” petition a certain Mr Brown Wouldeathisownbaby has given the PM his full support. Ho,ho.
The Times has pointed out that the comments section has been dropped from the Downing Street web site as there were too many party political comments being made on a ‘Government web site’; according to civil servants. Further these comments were taking a lot of time to moderate wasting civil servants’time (aka most posters were telling Labour what a total arse they were making of things and they should go!)
What next? Will Brown have chicken fancier web sites closed because there are too many comments related to chickens on these sites?
The mind boggles at the lengths of this man’s control freakery will run too.
Brown welcomed by troops
http://subrosa-blonde.blogspot.com/
was it just me or did Broon look especially haggard during his troops visit yesterday? and did anyone notice how they had surrounded him with female soldiers?
Yes, the men are all out on patrol getting shot at
How did Broon manage to whip up the swineflu pandemic just at the right time to push all his e-mail related woes off the front page? I hear he’s giving a reception tonight. The canapes include ‘pigs in blankets’
Well I would, wouldn’t I?
I just Googled for Gordon Brown Resign petition and got 399,000 results.
Pity it’s NOT signatures!!!!
Well sign up then!

The civil service are crapping themselves. Humphrey knows full well he’s going to be slaughtered under the Tories. Cameron has stated get rid of the bureaucracy. Its going to be a blood bath and the obviously New Labour ones will get trashed first. Cant wait.
Can’t wait to see that last long drive for Brown to “the Palace” – it’ll make the past 12 years all worth it!!!!!!!
Hurrah!
We are fooked…
Prime Mentalist is chairing an emergency COBRA meeting on the Scottish Swine Flu FIASCO
The Glorious Leader has just arrived for the meeting Here.
Let the government do something useful. Use them all in medical experiments.
I wish he was having a meeting about leaky subs on the Clyde and the Gareloch.
Utterly horrified by the news of radio active leaks about which the MoD seem NOT to care.I suspect that radio activity leaked so near to the largest population in Scotland might just have a greater effect than some trumped up virus that will probably do the same as bird flu in our well fed population.
GO SEE THESE INSULTS HEAPED UPON THE TWERP BROWN ON HIS OWN WEBSITE AT NUMBER 10.
Yes, I know I’m shouting because it may not be there that long!!
SO BE QUICK!!!!

Build a wall like in the film ‘Doomsday’– let them govern themselves
But first lets rationalise the civil service by getting rid of all the departments set up in Scotland to service English requirements and bring those job back down to England.
Anyone seen any more news regarding what happened at the meeting of the PLP yesterday?
I looked at Sky late on , thinking there might be something on it. Dixon ( what’s that all about?) said, ” Joining me to review the papers are The Daily Mirror’s Kevin Maguire and the Labour MP Stephen Pound.” I made my excuses and retired, muttering something about Hoons in balance.
Apparently Sky called it ‘very acrimonious’.
Lovely!:)

Indeed.
But what are we going to do about the thousands of politicised Police Officers who have been hired under dubious interview criteria under Labour?
By the fact that they made it through the interview & assessment stages tells me all I need to know about them & their loyalties- they are the Paramilitary Wing of Neo Labour to give them.
Look at the way Neo Labours Met Police thugs stamped on the peaceful Countryside Alliance marchers – then contrast & compare they way they treat Islamofascists & the Climate Change Taliban to name a few.
Operation Deep Cleanse will have to be enacted.
Agreed. Very close parallels with what happened to the German police in the 1930′s. The political ideology led first to inconsistency in policing as response was gradually predicated on politics. Did the civil police respond when Jewish windows were smashed? Finally the police were suborned as an arm of the Nazi state and pursued its ideologies almost exclusively. The same is happening here. Get burgled and if you are lucky they will record the crime over the telephone for insurance purposes. Go out in your garden and shout something rude out loud about New Labour’s “victim client groups” and expect a SWAT team in short order and an arrest for “hate speech”.
“Hate speech” is wrong but police response should be proportionate and reasonable. Arrest and deprivation of liberty for such misdemeanours is state sponsored oppression – overkill. Peel’s policing principles are clear on this and on no politics. Police are being given secret political targets by this disgusting Neo-Nazi regime in the interests of social engineering. The lobbying wing of the New Labour police, ACPO, and senior Common Purpose officers are colluding in this conspiracy to create Political State Police. All part of New Labour (cloaked communists) and Common Purpose (cloaked communists) single party state con.
Judging by the comments on Reid’s surveillance-state propaganda at CiF even the Lefties are waking up to the dangers posed by New Labour and their police chums.
This is what happened to a relative of mine:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/comment/personal-view/3613174/The-policeman-found-my-penknife.-Youre-going-down-mate-he-said.html
In context it was the day after Bush’s re-election and a week after the CA “Keep Hunting” demo where so many were beaten up by the Met. When they stopped Nick’s car it was all quite amicable until they saw his ‘Keep Hunting’sticker on the rear window… Hmmm.
That is truly horrific.
I weep for Britain.
It’s certainly not Great any more
I read the article and he is spot on about the lack of leadership in the police. The behaviour of the arresting PC was shocking and the incident demonstrates how asinine the law is and how even more asinine are the idiots enforcing it. Complete waste of time and taxpayers money.
And if you really want to make yourself sick, read the comments from the idiots on this PCSO forum:-
http://www.policecommunitysupportofficer.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=784
Seems these days that provocation and backchat are grounds for arrest and assault.
Seconded.
And that was back in 04…. theres been plenty of time for it to get much much worse since. Now they can kill members of the public with impunity.
Whats more regrettable is that not a single line from the reporters’account of what happened surprises me. That kind of behaviour is fucking scandalous.
Labour MP Kelvin Hopkins welcomed the proposed 50p tax rate and condemned the “pathetic and contemptible” criticism of it by the “mega rich”.
He said: “If a handful of ageing pop stars and money-grubbing bankers leave the country as a result, I say good riddance.
“My concerns are about the jobless and the poor who will really suffer from this recession.”
The logic that labour use really is sick, and their stupidity is beyond belief.
They don’t just want to tax the rich to the point where they decide not to be productive anymore or to generate any new jobs, they actually want anyone who’s intelligent or talented to leave the country.
It hasn’t occurred to them that if you have no intelligent or talented people left in the country then there are no jobs at all and there is no money to pay the unemployed.
I say we set aside the Isle of Wight for labour, and let all their supporters/MPs live there, well away from rational people, and give them their own parliament, and just leave them to fester in their own self-inflicted shit.
Obviously the left of the Party learnt nothing from the 1970′s or their time in the wilderness. Tax the rich grabs the headlines with the “core vote” but it has two effects – one the wealthy and entrepreneurs leave and the aspiring Midlle Classes think – hang on if I manage to get on by my own endeavours the government will penalise me. So the very people that they need to encourage to get us out the present mess – bugger off elsewhere or people think why should I bother to better myself I’ll just get penalised for it.
In the meantime that exponent of the “sisterhood” Harman thinks the middle of the worst recession in two generations is the ideal time to saddle business with more red tape AND to think that some some in the Labour Party actually think she’s leadership material ? It beggars belief!!!!!!!
Just seen this on LabourHome – hilarious class war.

Labour is a mental disease disqualifying people from holding responsible positions.
Agree with the general sentiment, but what have you got against the Isle of Wight?
I did the IoW Coastal Path over five days a couple of years ago and found delightful, quiet, calm villages and towns peopled by kind and helpful folk, set among lovely countryside. The only bad experience was the B&B at Brighstone Tea Rooms (see TripAdvisor review).
If we are to corral these swine anywhere, let’s surround one of their socialist paradises with razor wire and stick them inside. I nominate Glasgow’s council estates, or Liverpool’s. No parliament – let them develop their own society based on socialist principles. I predict a Stalinist Lord of the Flies set-up within weeks. That’ll teach ‘em.
Those who repent will be allowed back among us, but only after the most rigorous examination and on ten-year parole.
(A boy can dream….)
Exterminate…exterminate!
What’s the Isle of Wight done wrong?
What have you got against the Isle of Wight?
I’ve got nothing against the Isle of Wight; I was just trying to think of a physical place that we could put them all, and a small island with no bridge/tunnel to connect it to the rest of us seemed the best place.
You could relocate people who currently live on the Isle of Wight somewhere else.
In fact, the vast majority of labour supporters who have any power/say over the party and who’ve been driving it since 1997 are champagne socialists with nice houses, you could simply move those champagne socialists out of their plush houses, put them on the Isle of Wight, and then move the original Isle of Wight residents to the plush houses that the champagne socialists left behind.
It’d be a nice idea to use Mugabe tactics like that against the people who have been using Mugabe tactics against us anyway.
Believe me, you’ve picked the wrong place to put all Labour supporters! At the last election, the biggest swing to the Tories came on the Isle of Wight. Turner has as big a majority as any Tory MP.
Try Tower Hamlets, Newham, Bradford, Oldham, Balckburn. They seem to love all the immo’s so they should quite like living with them.
In Newham a red rosette on a monkey is all thats needed for election! Hang on, we’ve allready done that
We did it first
The Island of Foula seems far more appropriate – it’s off the Scottish coast, called the “Edge of the World” and has a name that sums the whole useless lot up. The Shetland guide also describes the “fierce, piratical” skuas … no need for the lamp-posts and piano wire, then!! I apologise to the 30 people who live there, but the greater good etc….
Rockall suggests itself as an appropriately isolated dumping ground for socialists. However, in a time of austerity we should avoid wasting resources. Kill them all and use their corpses as compost!
Isle of Sheppey – Next to the Queenborough nick where they deserve to be.
What’s the name of that Scottish Island that is still infected with anthrax?
Isle of Fettes?
Gruinard, is the island.
I believe a few hardy sheep have been put on it to see if they can survive. Actually that was a few years ago and I have’nt heard whether they have survived or not.
Either way good choice!Only drawback is a good swimmer would have no bother escaping!Need some great whites or , salt water crocs to persuade them not to try>
Bit unfair what have you got against anthrax then?
Thats a tad unfair on the Isle Of Wight, innit? What have they done to deserve that? Isnt Parkhurst prison punishment enough??
Even when we think we see the truth, all that is visible to us are tips of icebergs, the one first spot that presages a massive infection, and the single hole that warns of a warren of death watch beetle within.

Yes, I can see why a cull of New Labour civil servants is long over-due.

Great comment in the Times re disabling comments on You Tube:
“Is he going to disable the public from expressing their opinions at the ballot box as well? Do you think it will be the recession, flu pandemic or a war with Pakistan that he will use as an excuse for a declaration of martial law and banning elections? This man is hated and must be removed!”
O/T but I was intrigued by the Thamesmead shenanigans and googled a bit. I well remembered the judges ‘banana republic’case but was surprised – ok, I should know better – by just how much of it went on. I’m wondering if any of our prat MPs are validly elected
Most I found were Labour but cons and lib dums are not exactly innocents. sample list

How can you question O’Donnell’s integrity? He did take his time following the start of smear gate prior to his decision that no further inquiry was necessary. O’Donnell had ample time to check all the email traffic bewteen McBride and Balls, just to name one contact of McBride. Balls, it was reported in The Times, could send up to 20 emails a day to McBride, and O’Donnell certainly had time to check all of McBride’s emails in that day or so he needed to say the buck stops with McBride. In, addition, the fact that O’Donnell moved from the Treasury to Nr 10 should not derogate at all his authority in this matter. He knew both McBride and Balls well from his Treasury days, so was perfectly capable to take a well-informend and unbiased decision.
Re “upcoming regime change”: I wouldn’t be so confident about it. I changed my name, a process Elton also went throughby the way, to the above out of great fear that postal votes will become what lousy ballotpapers in 2000 were in Florida. We all know it is going to happen. I don’t necessarily mind it happening. I’m out of the UK and will just sell more sterling short once labour has stolen the election with postal votes.
Guido
Do you have a view on the report in today’s Times regarding Den Dover. It is reported that he is appealing a decision made by the European Parliament that he should pay back £500,000 after being found guilty of abusing the expense system. Do your investigations extend to Europe or just the UK?
Guido wrote the first report I read of Dover’s disgusting troughing habits.
Which civil servant was responsible for Gordo’s ‘Youtubular Balls’?
He should be awarded a medal not the sack for projecting the Mentalist as he really is!!
Reuters Breaking news — 30 mins ago
New Zealand and Israel confirmed cases of swine flu on Tuesday, the latest countries hit by a new strain that has killed up to 149 people in Mexico and which threatens to become a pandemic. The World Health Organisation has raised its alert level to phase 4, indicating a significantly increased risk of pandemic.

On another site it was reported that 40 people a year are killed by pigs in the USA. So far this disease is just another media scare story.
Number Ten have removed most of the ‘Carry On’petition comments
I posted the list here, but it’s awaiting GF’s moderation
Perhaps Noki Aitonthehead was the final straw.
They missed this one
Mr N.O. McMandate
Waiting for Mr Pierdenliec.
Arthur Brown Penis signed up too….
The petition has now reached 21877, adding less than 2,000 signatures since midnight last night. Given that it has now had publicity in several newspapers this morning, and that around 10,000 signatures were added yesterday, it seems that every attempt is being made to throttle it. Perhaps someone with suitable IT savvy can frame an FOI request to establish the truth or otherwise of this proposition.
Did you really think it would be allowed to reach a substantial figure?
Suspect you are right. Dark forces at work.
They may throttle it but it will still have hit the point,we might not find out how many people voted on it but they will and that’s the important thing, brown underkecks all around.
Start more petitions asking for things like repayment of MP’s expenses, punishment of troughing MP’s, resignation of the Speaker, Brown to be declared mentally incapacitated – and anything else that will annoy them.
Never trust an O’Donnell….
Why stop at O’Donnell? All Civil Servants now in post above Grade 7 are Labourite Placemen. The only way to get our nation back is to sack the lot and restructure the entire Civil Service under new rules that preclude the appointment of anyone who is not conversant – and by that I mean someone who has actually done the jobs within the function they purport to manage – with the technical side of the department they are to run.
This would mean getting rid of the 2% who between them cost the taxpayer almost 10% of the wages budget for Whitehall. Think how many schools and hospitals could be built with a saving like that!
O’Donnell is damaged goods, too partisan and unfit for purpose. He will naturally be replaced as soon as Labour are voted out at the next election.
Don’t rely on it.
Perhaps you should start a petition on your site Guido. It would not be tampered with, would carry more respect and therefore be believed.
I know Gorn Bust Brewn would ignore it but we would all feel better.
The truth is that Gus O’Donnell is seen by many senior Tories as an integral part of Team Brown.
And not only by them. I actually thought he was part of the Cabinet, as opposed to the Cabinet Office.
The cabinet office. The office where the police stated the Damian Green complaint originated before changing their tune within 30 mins and stating it came from another government department but definetly absolutely definetly not the cabinet 0ffice.
Lying hoons I saw and watched the original announcement
But aren’t they all damaged goods?
This is a flawed regime, fuelled by self interest and corruption.
An example of power in the hands of the few for the benefit of the few and not the many.
They have the police in their pockets by giving them the ‘powers they want’; the Civil service by giving them power and performance money when they are not performing anything other than Labour party policy; local government and health by the same methods.
These ‘Augean’stables have long needed cleansing but this lot are incapable of doing anything other than line their own pockets.
They have to go.
Its a catch 22 situation with politicians. Anyone with the desire to become an MP is unsuitable. Anyone suitable will not want to become one.
O’Donnell is a public servant in that he is paid by the public and is serving his own best interests, which at the moment means entoadying himself to Brown.
Come the day when Brown gets the heave ho, our Gus will continue to be a public servant in that he will be paid by the public and serve his revised best interests, which will be to secure a gong and an enhanced pension.
If there were no gongs, and no enhanced pensions and early retirements, then there might be fewer toads.
Limited terms for senior civil servants? Say, 2 years and you’re out!
Do it the Oracle way, every 2 years a hiring freeze with 10% staff reductions as a way to try and shake out the dead wood.
I have an aunt who tells all the conavassers who call “I don’t think so. My party doesn’t have candidate here”.
On being asked why she won’t vote for Liberal/Labour/Conservative she tells them that they are not honest enough. “Because they either have the snouts in the trough or they are monster raving loonies but won’t admit it. either way, they are not honest enough for my vote so Bugger Off!!!”
And she has being saying this for years. Mind you back in the 1960′s I remember my grandmother telling a local councillor who was up for re-election “Och Dick, you politicians are like bananas. You start of green and end up yellow and bent”
Gus must be subject to an employment review as soon as conservatives get in. If his failure to uphold the office on an impartial basis can be demonstrated he should be subject to disciplinary action. If his failure has been grossly negligent he can be fired. This will save a fortune and remind civil servants that they have responsibilities not merely to follow their political masters wishes
Civil servants should be obliged to reveal all failures and misdeeds. They should serve the public interest not their political bosses. There should be a special office to receive and publish the information. It is not fair that Green, the politician who received the information is regarded as a hero, but the civil servant who revealed it got fired.
The office should investigate who else knew, and punish all who covered up and failed in their duty of public disclosure; especially the Home Secretary and her toadies. They should also review all senior promotions made by New Labour, and special consultants and punish them if they were political or wasteful.
Watched the re-run of HIGNF and wet myself at the Govan clip:
the BAE / Vosper media man running away from Brown waving his hands in a ‘wisnae’me gesture and Brown’s ace Stalinist double speak – “I take full responsibility for the E-mail farrago and have sacked the person responsible”.
So why are you still here Broon, U tube?
Don’t use llong (anag)
Why not? llong is Welsh for ship.
I am a civil servant…very very junior and of no importance.Even I have noticed that the service’s communications (in my department) have been overtaken with ZaNuLabour speel. I even had a posting from the Times on our civil service intranet (internal internet) from James Purnell (can’t stand the fellow)spitting his vile speel about the Tories…..
Check out the video of Sir Gus on the civil service gateway recruitment…about as impartial as a……….words begger believe.
Butterfly, do you have a link
I think he means this:
http://www.civilservice.gov.uk/index.aspx
If not partial, it’s hardly impartial.
Also, taxpayers’money is to be spent on a 3 day jamboree for civil servants at Olympia in July. According to Sir Gus there is space for up to 3,000 each day and they will be addressed by Alastair Campbell and lots of ministers. What a waste!
It’s not impartial by any stretch of the imagination!! I have an idea for his “Lion’s Lair” crap: Get rid of their final salary pensions, and start making them compete for their jobs like the rest of us.
I truly believe that the vast majority of the public see the civil service as a necessary evil; but not necessarily worth the money they are presently paid – paid for their votes – by the present government.
The O’Donnel Civil Service video is like a Labour PPB. What on earth was he thinking? My view has changed – I now reccommend all Civil Servants paid over about £100k pa should be redunderated at election time. Clean sweep needed. Job Done.
As a civil servant he can be reallocated: toilet duty, no its contracted out but there must be something menial which hasn’t.
OMG – “It was the right thing to do” he said and “difficult economic times”
He’s a fully paid up member of the NuLabour club isn’t he?
‘Beaker’Timms looks such a twat on TV at the moment – he can hardly speak
He can certainly not forecast and/or is not allowed to forecast properly!
And unfortunately he is also way too optimistic to put the extra funding requirement of government pensions at 14 billion over the next 5 years.
First thing Cameron should do is dismiss O’Donnell. He is merely a New Labour clone.
O’Donnell will probabaly try and stay in place for a while after Brown’s exit (“in order to manage a smooth transition, blah, blah, blah…”), then slide into a Directorship somewhere. There is (or was) an RBS director called Robson who was an ex-Treasury superstar and generally though of as the mastermind(!) behind PFI and friend of Tory Chancellor pre-1997. After the ’97 election he became a friend of the new chancellor (yes, him), and stayed on for several years PFI-ing away before sliding across to RBS. That’s how the revolving door works, and how the great and the good look after each other at our expense.
Absolutely right. It’s a pound to a pinch of snuff that O’Donnell will be taken on after he leaves the Civil Service by Price Waterhouse Coopers.
Members of the Nazi party were a bit thin on the ground in Germany just after Hitler kindly topped himself. I suspect that there won’t be too many owning up to being members of ZaNuLab following the next general election. Perhaps they may have the wit and wisdom to take avoiding action well before that auspicious day. I wonder how bright McTwat’s buddie O’Donnell is…
Yes indeed, there are some housetrained civil servants, particularly at senior levels in and around the larger core departments but on the whole most have dodged politicisation. I suspect the former are already planning exit strategies anyway, so no need for culling.
Trust me, im a civil servant…..
Hey Guido
Have you sent the the word hoon for inclusion in the OED yet?
“John Major told the ladies that last year he had put in a complaint to the Cabinet Secretary, Gus O’Donnell, about Damian McBride’s activities. It was of course to no avail.”
Would never have happened in his day. On a completely unrelated topic, how is Jonathan Aitken doing these days?
…koff.
Remember TB promising a government that would be ‘purer than pure’before 1997? Even though he was maybe only referring to the first parliament, it was very popular to expect that Labour would be ‘purer than pure’indefinitely. I never expected so myself, depsite being only a teen. Now such (then unpopular) scepticism has been vindicated, the right should have more fun telling the public, and the left in particular, that they had told them so.
