We can certainly do better than 1000,000, however, that might be enough!

Have you seen some articles say "Please go" started last October, rather than last week? They seem to think all Number 10 petitions are 12 months, but I set this up as 6 months.

Mr Brown is looking rough, so I think he wants to go really. :)

It is a nonsense to use the phrase "unelected prime minister." Brown is an elected MP. British prime Ministers are not elected thank God; we have a head of state (HM The Queen). We do not need a president - regardless of whichever awful party he or she belongs to.

-rant on

The problem here is that although we will all greatly enjoy sitting up on election night to see half of these tax eaters tossed out, and the other half returned to opposition, none of them will pay for the mess they have created, not personally, not with cash.

The half thrown out, will get fantastic severance payments, and an unbelievable pension, then start again on Monday as 'special advisors' or 'union reps' drawing some kind of coerced or tax-eater salary.

The half that return to opposition will continue getting a fantastic wage+unbelievable expenses, for doing largely bugger all, plus a great pension.

Even if the prime mentalist loses his seat, he still gets that multi-million pension, plus a job on Monday in the EU/IMF/World Bank, tax free, paying more than he gets as PM.

This is the real moral hazard of politics. None of the buggers ever pays for their robbery, thuggery, or plain old incompetence. Just ask Portillo. Out of office for over a decade and probably making more money from politics now than he ever did when working in government.

-rant off

Still, it'll be nice for that fleeting moment when the Returning Officer says 'Gordon, you're fired!' - Can we get Alan Sugar to do it?
