The internet has become the effective opposition to the Government. It seems to me to be likely to continue in that role,whatever the composition of the government may be. I see a future in which the role of the official opposition will become very much secondary to the better sourced and better written blogs. I see the trend spreading to other countries, in some of which it will be fought mercilessly.

I see a day when one of my great grandchildren might brag to a pal,”my Great Granddad blogged on the original Guido Fawkes”!

Which government had most sleaze?

Conservative 22% (well how would you know? no bloggers back then only tame media).

Labour 55% (Can’t even run their own party finances).

Hoping or voting for the one that will not be as bad as the other assumes neither is fit for purpose.

Basically I prefer not to be robbed and/or shafted at all!

That site is not a million miles away from smeargate, 2 dinners should have been fingered too, lucky hoon?

Also, checked Osborne’s website and there isn’t a link to 2 dinners site. Typical Broon bully boy tactics, they are desperate to get Osborne aren’t they (I wonder who pushed and pushed and pushed the yachtgate coverage?).

So Tony Blair did a Jacqui Smith and involved the intelligence services, got them to trawl thru’McBrides’s e-mail and phone calls because it was reported that No. 10 had been savaged in a private meeting. Christ – this lot have abused the system from day 1.
I notice some papers are trying to portray Blair as a victim – won’t wash – he is aas guilty and evil as Brown.
