All this after Mandelson spent a good minute talking about how the stigma of going to the IMF was being reduced and it wouldn’t be embarrassing to go to them now. He even used examples of other countries, Mexico, that were considering using the special drawdown facility. We are being primed. Pure and simple. Just as we were for low interest rates and QE.
Apparently Mandelson said “We are destigmatising going to the IMF”. Anyone got the video?

The ’smoozing’ that our Dear Leader recieved from President Obama at the Number 10 Pre-G20 conference made Broone look like a virginal schoolboy at his first end of term school Prom. His already over-stroked ego will now be justifying him to ’soldier on’ in his role as Dear Leader, and to continue to ’save the world’. ‘More of the Same’ Labour crud is more like it.
Meanwhile, little does he know that the ‘long knives’ will be out again if Labour crashes badly in the up and coming Local elections in May (and the EU elections on 4th of June).
We are always hopedful that this G20 Conference will come up with some concrete proposals that can be turned into real policies that will be effective. But Labour will shilly-shally and gibber and moan about what can and cannot be done, so will loose any ‘window of opportunity’. They will become bogged down in their own propaganda and bulldroppings.
One sometimes wonders if Brown and Pals will ever try and pull the ultimate stunt by posponing any elections to save themselves from what they already know. Maybe on some spurious grounds of ‘National Emergency’ – but I don’t think that they would be that stupid — or are they?

- Borrow from the rest of the world to finance our consumption of the rest of the world’s production, offering only our debt in compensation
- give even more of our money to largely unaccountable globalist organisations like the IMF that are useless anyway, or corrupt, or both.
- further regulate complex financial markets and products that politicians can barely spell let alone understand, and have never encountered before given their very little experience in dealing with them
- attempt to shut down tax havens which politicians themselves use. Warn against protectionism yet deliberately hinder international capital flows
- completely and utterly ignore the role of monetary policy and central banks in the formation of stock and property market booms and busts
- and in a somewhat duplicitous maneuver, link recession tackling plans to the climate change agenda and thus use taxpayers money to further undermine the public’s economic liberty
