Back to Basics

Guido has enjoyed baiting Draper over the last few months.   However all good things must come to an end and it is time to get back to the real business of the blog.  Exposing the mis-deeds of politicians of all colours.

Normal service resumes tomorrow…

Yes and no. Dolly has been a distraction, but I need some closure in that I’m:

      1. Still awaiting the promised doc.
      2. Still awaiting full expose video of Dolly’s qualification. Or lack thereof.

Has Guido been scared off? Has Dolly got all legalistic? Surely not.

Yes, closure please! Damien McBride memo? And how did he get an MA from an institution he was expelled from? This is eating me up now Guido…please tell.

        Woman on a Raft says:

This is Gordon’s “Peter Foster” moment. Dolly is a scammer in the same way, ruthlessly battening on to vulnerable people to present himself as something he is not. After all, the ugly and not very convincing Foster managed to get both Sam Fox and Carole Caplin running after him. He even took in Cherie Blair, and she’s supposed to have some experience of dodgy characters.

Mandy has to ditch him now – it’s just surprising that Campbell didn’t make him do it earlier.

Well done GF. Dolly embodies all that is wrong about the NuLab Project. It is only under such a degraded regime that a creature like Dolly could achieve prominence.

In further reviewing my pathetically lame excuses for not giving full coverage to the Hannan speech in which he lambasted the Glorious and Beloved Leader, the Great Helmsman who, even as we speak is still meeting with that other World Leader, Comrade Chav, to learn how we can work closer together and get cheap petrol for Government and AlJaBeeba Limos, I can only say that I was at a succession of Dinner Parties with other Progressive and Cross-Cutting Shampagne Show-slist Sheeple in Islington, the Centre of the Intellectual Universe.

We, as trained coprophiliacs, are only drawn to ordure from the Beloved and Glorious Leader and his comrade apparatchiks, and therefore anything that has even the slightest tinge of plain speaking or criticism of our Leader is anathema to us.

It follows therefore that any record of a person known as ‘Guido’ will be expunged from our files, and all staff concerned therewith will attend retraining and re-education.

Furthermore, the Great and Glorious Leader of Our Party, the Joy of The World, will return to these shores to the Rose Throwing Acclamations of Millions of Grateful Sheeple, who, once they have attended their three-hour (including coffee break) anti-terrorist education session will wave suitable flags and sing the Party Song.

Draper is an arrogant pillock. His performance this lunchtime was an embarrassment. He’s an hysterical loon – with the mental dexterity of a block of wood – which no amount of bohemian makeovery (tousled hair, Che Guevara beard and outrageously expensive spex) can alter.

    Guido,

Loved the Berkeley T-shirt – great joke for the in-crowd. Made me laugh, anyway.

HOWEVER, I was a bit disappointed and, on thinking it over, believe that the blog ought to speak for you. You gain nothing via personal appearances but stand to lose something, IMHO. Not because you are weak, but because the blog is so exceptionally strong, perhaps the strongest in any field.

If you really can’t resist the lure of the telly, please think about:-

    1. Never accepting censorship: your exposure of Dolly’s past was your strong suit, yet you gave it away;

    2. Wearing a suit with pale blue shirt and dark red tie (simple pattern – beware strobing). It loses the Berkeley joke, but you look more credible;

    3. Telling the producer where you will sit – never at the periphery (as you did), rather than accepting their placings;

    4. Selecting your programme: this was no discussion, but a bear-pit. Only the likes of G Galloway win in those forums. Today or Newsnight might be better;

    5. Never addressing your adversary but speaking to the Chair. The Chair will feel more in control and appreciate it and perhaps reward you. Speaking to the adversary lends him credence.

All that said, I know I would not have done as well as you did.

Guido, you are better unseen. Your physical being destroys the illusion.
Beowulff feels you should only manifest your self on the ‘Wireless’.

With respect to the odious and obnoxious Berkeley One, I think your campaign has served its purpose. An unfortunate side effect was to help build a stature that the insignificant twit could never have managed on his own.

I suggest you steel yourself never to mention or refer him again, ever. By so doing you will deny him the publicity he needs to justify his miserable existence.

Hopefully mortified by this isolation he may well go into meltdown and show the Great Debtfesterer the Way

      • 310
        Ruth Kelly's plaything says:

Plato, not sure where you read the ref to Guido’s build, but it wasn’t on my post. I made no comment on it. What I WAS concerned with was that my hero should put his case across as well as possible. Sure, he’s not a politico, and thank heaven for it.

My (undeclared) assumption was that he would wish to come across as well as possible to the TV audience. It is a well-established fact that a suit etc creates a greater impression of gravity, character, credibility and integrity than do leisure clothes. You and I may not like it, but that is how it is. I for one would prefer us to judge each other by words and deeds alone, but human interaction just doesn’t work like that.

If that doesn’t matter to Guido, fine. It’s his business.

Time for me to investigate these media with which you seem so familiar – OK and Hello, weren’t they?

  31. 36

Jesus, the left media are smug bastards. They are making a big mistake in their complacency.

Hannan’s got the right idea: attack mercilessly the lying nulab goons with polished rhetoric – and the truth.

    • 83

      To right.

A Labour voting mate of mine has had the Hannan video emailed to him by friends in the US. They love it. Without Youtube the BBC would never had let us know about it, instead they are trying to down play the reaction.

But, and its a big but, he’s right about your comments pages, they do tend to be peppered with the kind of lazy hate filled writing that gives the right a bad name. I understand that the amount of traffic and laudable notions of freedom of expression have created something of a quandry; however we all get judged by the company we keep and there is a risk of your ‘fans’ undermining the work you do.

Until that day though, keep it up, in a world of stodgy news media its refreshing to have a good old fashioned attack dog to keep the politicians in check.

Prime Minister Gordon Brown and David Cameron today held a 100-metre sprint race to determine which of the two would make the best Prime Minister to lead us out of the current financial crisis. Gordon Brown performed extremely well, taking the silver medal position. However, the same cannot be said of David Cameron, who finished second-from-last.

Beowulff believes that if you stop paying the AlJaBeeba Danegeld then the NewStasi will come and take you away for a bit of re-education at HM Prison where you can only watch AlJaBeeba until you can think the truth again.

Therefore he has decided it’s easier to feed this monster rather than confront it. If there were a King Alfred or Saint Daniel to lead us in a national withholding of the Danegeld then that might be worth joining.

  50. 65
    Gooey Blob says:

Yes, that’s what we want. Go after the bigger fish, not the krill. There are plenty of hypocrites in parliament, and they’re doing a spectacularly poor job of running the country. On the one hand they criticise large bonuses awarded to bankers, but on the other think it is acceptable for them to fiddle tens – if not hundreds – of thousands of pounds from the taxpayer in expenses fiddles. Do as I say, not as I do, and all that.

It’s the same with Brown. He’s still telling people in other countries that they should be following his “lead” with huge, unaffordable stimuli. Yet the rug has already been pulled from under his two left feet, as the UK has no more money left.

Draper was on Channel 4 – Channel 4 gave a bit of a stitch up for Hannan saying he was factually wrong, got the LabourList guy Sunder Katwala on to slag him off, and then Draper was learning from his cock up with Guido and just going for the jugular, ending up, without Snow controlling the affair, saying that this (Daniel) was a load of nonsense from the Tories, while Hannan was laughing in the background.

    Herein lies Draper’s endgame.

Etonian tory boy. Do nothing. Negative. Deranged. He even plugged his site!

No discussion of his actual speech. Dan came off humble and sincere by comparison.

I genuinely think Draper’s realised the Internet is just a lost cause for Labour (On his front anyway) so now he’s just trying his hardest to get Internet based politics written off as extreme and full of unlikeable characters. You’ve made the right call on ditching your sparring partner there Guido.

Draper – a man with no class.

I suppose it is obvious why labour don’t engage in rational debate — they would lose. They know it, we know it and they know that we know it.

And Daniel explaining that ‘devalued prime minister of a devalued government’ was a deliberate nod to John Smiths speech.

And when they showed John Smith delivering it – who was next to him cheering him on? Yup a younger Gordon Brown – ha ha ha ha ha…

And the ultimate disarmament – Hannan said Smith was right to use the phrase against Major !! – Hannan isn’t a pathetic tribalist like draper who just spouts the party line – hannan says what he thinks.

    To borrow that phrase again:

    Fucking Delicious

Yeh, but Guido, as I type, Draper is on C4 News as a credible debator against Daniel Hannon, post hatchet-job film slot. And he is wearing a pair of specs to look all clever.
C4 played fast & loose with the text of Hannon’s speech in their piece & Jon Snow downplayed the number of hits it got on YouTube, though, to his credit, Draper corrected them.
Anyway, you’ve set a hare running here & can retire gracefully from the chase. If he’s going to keep putting his head above the MSM-parapet quite so far, then he can expect some headshots (no, not those of the aspirant- actor variety): they only have to get lucky once, as they say

Have you been to the pub all afternoon with Draper or something?

How else does he talk good looking women into bed, and not be told to F-OFF very loudly by the whole of the labour party, and get to write articles in newspapers that hardly seem fit for a college newspaper. (“women should do the washing up coz men can’t be arsed”).

Draper comes across as a deranged tramp, while Hannan was calm and relaxed, openly acknowledging lifting the punchline and why. Plus he made the fundamental point: that he was saying what his constituents are saying (not to mention virtually everyone else in the country bar Dolly Draper).

In many ways it’s good – if cringeworthy – that Draper is getting this airtime, because he clearly demonstrates how Labour are rolling in the gutter if he is deemed suitable to speak out for them. Plus he obviously alienates interviewers, as both Neil and Snow treated him as one would an unruly and unkempt rowdy child. I do however wish that he were exposed for his blatant lies though – his appearance on the DP show was riddled with them, not least labourlist’s nonexistant ‘line by line refuting’ of the points in the Hannan speech.

      Atlas says:

Well sort of, but you could have added something else.

Draper thinks that bailing out private banks with our kids future taxes is so perfectly cool, that not even a sensible and rational debate on the issue is required. He does not even consider this to be just a tiny bit FASCIST in principle and reality. Draper is a liar and a con artist, as well as being an utter fool. That not only knows less then nothing about psychology he knows even less about politics and history.

Marxism was supposed to result in the people controlling the government, not the people who control the International banking system controlling absolutely every single human being on the planet.

There has not been a fall of Monopoly corporate capitalism, more commonly known as FASCISM. Free market capitalism has not fallen, because it never really existed in the first place except for the very bottom of the social structure. All that has happened is that the people who control the worlds central banking system and therefore ALL of our governments, now have complete and total control over our own present and future savings, wages and taxes as well.

Welcome to The New World Order. It took a while and several world wars to sort out, but with the help of the likes of Draper and Brown it has finally arrived, put its dirty feet firmly on the dinning room table and started buggering our children before many of them are even born.

    Beowulff says:

Guido. I just watched you and Draper on the Daily Politics. It confirms my opinion that you will never win against these arseholes in their medium because they are extremely clever in their own black arts.

Much better not to come into the open. The BBC and their lackies are beginning to get very worried because they know that a growing populace is out there saying things that are highly damaging to their continued existence. They also know they are operating in a waning medium that is losing influence whereas the blogosphere and its influence is increasing exponentially.

That they were prepared to have you on the programme shows how scared they are but think how awful it would have been for them if you had refused to appear denying them validation of their so called impartiality.

I trust you noticed that you did not get the inferred recognition of sitting next to Andrew Neill and that somehow the lighting for your shots kept getting out of balance.

I trust you also noticed that they now claimed how impartial they are because they have now shown the Daniel Hannan video, albeit when no one was watching and when Draper could trash it by saying it was all lies.

Beowulff’s advice is ‘Stay in your lair’. The visceral unrest and dissatisfaction with the BBC and this ghastly government is growing apace. The influence of your blog is growing similarly. Better to let it keep bubbling away under the surface until it boils over.

I bet the BBC will want you to appear in future so that they can play the ‘look how impartial we are’ card whilst deriding your blog and those that contribute to it.
Beowulff’s advice is ‘Just tell them to piss off’ They need you far more than you need them.

BTW wasn’t it nauseating the Neill became all upset by the language used. Talk about hypocritical, this is the BBC which after 9.00 pm is permanently foul mouthed but which is then defined as Strong Language. They are all so nauseating. Where the hell do they find them ?

        “Who’s money?”

It’s the Government’s money, not your money – you pay taxes and Labour decides how best to spend it. You have no right to tell the PM how to spend it. Once he is elected that’s his decision. That’s the law – if you don’t like it you can go to jail or move somewhere else.

It’s called a PARLIAMENTARY DEMOCRACY. We WON the last election, and you LOST. So you have no right to tell us what to do.

We are spending our money on many things, including:

        1) The NHS. New data shows that the NHS has met its target to treat patients within a maximum of 18 weeks from referral by their GP – an achievement which was unimaginable 12 years ago.

In 1997, Labour inherited an NHS ignored and starved of funds. The investment and reform since then has built towards an NHS we can all be proud of and made a real difference to to lives of people across the country.

        2) Counter-terrorism measures.

        3) Welfare reform

        4) Job creation

        5) Tackling violence against women and girls

The list goes on. Meanwhile Cameron and his Old Etonians will cut taxes for the super-rich in their Millionaires’ Manifesto!

The first post has somehow been dated before it was actually posted. The second post demonstrates a hatred of Peter Hain which has clearly coloured subsequent actions. The third post predicted that Osama bin Laden was dead or about to be captured (got that wrong then) and the fourh post says that Blair would go on for ever and ever having appointed Alan Milburn as the election co-ordinator, demonstrating that the misunderstanding of the Labour Party was there at the beginning.
