Sunday Sleaze Round-Up
Guido warned that the Tatler article marked the peak of hubris and would be regretted. Sure enough Mark Clarke (#2) has come a cropper. The article brought an ex-girlfriend out of the woodwork to accuse him of a history of whoring as well as being a tight-wad. Which is awkward now he is a candidate and campaigning against prostitution in Tooting.
Mark got around in his time as Conservative Future chairman, so there will be quite a few scorned woman available for comment. This article won’t, Guido suspects, be the last.
