"Let Them Drink Tap"

Frank Doran is Chairman of the Commons Admin-istration Committee. His Committee has decided that MPs will continue to drink bottled water.

He claims the decision was taken on “cost and hygiene” grounds. Guido doesn’t understand. How can it be cost effective to ship 30,000 litres of mineral water in bottles up the motorway compared to pouring tap water into jugs?

If London water is not hygenic enough for MPs to drink, why is it good enough for the people of London?

This Scottish lawyer (another one) sounds more like Marie Antoinette than a tribune of the people…

Maybe if they really wanted to “decontaminate the Labour brand” with business people, they shouldn’t have totally buggered up the economy?

Just a thought.
