Totty Report from Wonkland

Dave launched the Globalisation Institute’s report on micro-finance, making good on his leadership promise to “campaign for capitalism” in the developing world. Appropriately the launch was held in the City in the posh Leatherseller’s Hall venue with the booze paid for by corporate financiers St Helen’s Capital – where Howard Flight, the think tank’s chairman, is a non-exec.

The totty quotient was reasonable. Tom Clougherty (bottom left) is developing a reputation as being wonkland’s most eligible heterosexual batchelor, and he was certainly smiling…

Nick Clegg said…

“Charlie Whelan and Lord Ashcroft are exactly the same. One is the baron of the trade unions, and the other one is the baron of Belize. Both are bankrolling political parties, both are trying to buy seats.”
