Camelot’s Odd Couple : Danny & Dougie

News reaches Guido of an amusing coupling in the inner counsels of Dave’s Camelot. His chief speechwriter, Dougie Smith, is to be joined by a new deputy, Danny Kruger, who has resigned as chief leader writer at the Daily Telegraph to join Team Cameron.

How will Kruger, the bespectacled Old Etonian, devoutly Christian son of celebrity cook Prue Leith, cope with working with Smith, pugnacious Scot and former boss of the legendary Fever Parties, Britain’s leading orgy organisation? Actually, both characters are pretty amiable but one thing’s for sure: Dave’s next few speeches could be worth reading…
