Labour’s policy on Foundation hospitals and top-up fees would certainly have been defeated in a more balanced parliament.

However then of course they would have to find another party to form a majority government with. Good luck with that!
And even if the FPTP result were a little less biased in England, with a share of the popular vote of about <1 seat more than Labour, wouldnt there be a hung parliament? In that case, if we consider the LibDems position to the left of Labour, then of course the fair centre of gravity for a government would be towards the Labour party.
